I'm not sure about ever at TownHall, but I can quite assuredly tell you that my most recent syndicated column rang the bell for the most comments any of my columns has ever receieved...
"Why Gays Hate Marriage" seems to have stirred the pot to what is now closing in on 650 comments. Have you weighed in yet? The dialogue back and forth, some based on the column itself, and some by those who want to disagree but can't quite articulate a good response to it - has been earth shaking.
Thanks to everyone who's read it, and for every single one of you that weighed in... QUITE a discussion!
By the way... we will be talking about the substance of the column on the show today starting at 2pm EST. The toll free number Coast to Coast is 1.800.345.9622. Particularly if you weighed in AGAINST the column, I will push you to the front of the line to get on today's show - which you can listen to right here.

I am sitting in on the nationally broadcast "Point Of View" right now. You can listen live... (get the free PodCAST a bit later) and call in. We're hitting the New Jersey marriage intiative as well as trying to sell as many copies of the MuscleHead Revolution: Overturning Liberalism with Commonsense Thinking as is humanly possible.

The court's rationale was insane...
First off the headlines have ALL been misleading, this liberal, democratic based court was not split 4-3 on extending marriage rights to homosexual unions. On that portion of the ruling they stood unified 7-0. The discord seems to have come over the allowance of the legislature (which is controlled strongly by liberal democrats) to "redefine" marriage or to formulate "legal same sex unions" to be so identified under the law, but extending every marriage benefit under law.
So again - the people of a northeastern liberal state have had a court impose its will upon the people of the state using the faulty argument of the "equal protection" clause...
It also appears to allow non-residents to flock into New Jersey, grab up a civil marriage ceremony, and disappear to their own state to challenge local Defense of Marriage Laws... (This could chance in the fact that the legislature will now be defining marriage, and they could in fact revisit the residency requirement.)
This shot across the bow may just be the wake up call the state of New Jersey is in need of. Liberal corruption on the fiscal issue is one thing, but now their will be a play to force religious institutions to perform and recognize these unions. There will be challenges to churches who choose not to perform them. There will be anti-discrimination, hate-speech, and equal protection challenges to pastors and institutions who choose not to engage in the immoral and inequitable task of calling a sexual union by two men performing anal sex, the same moral equivalent as man and woman taking sovereign oaths before God, and pledging to the state to raise children and serve responsibly as role models.
It's not entirely unexpected, and I for one am laying the mandate down now. I will dedicate every ounce of energy, air-time, and media appearance I can to seeing the people of New Jersey be given the chance to decide this issue for themselves and not be subject to the whims of the elite Diabolical Dagger Society on the New Jersey Supreme Court.
MuscleHeads will march, we will speak, we will demand that constitutional rights for "We The People" to decide such matters and not seven elitists who look down on people of faith as stupid bible thumpers.
We will organize, demonstrate, network, promote, and debate at every turn, at every chance.
We are not alone, our brothers and sisters in the state of Massachusetts also seek by 70% of the population to overturn their court mandated social experiment. We will do all we have to, to see this through...
Human Rights Campaign, ACLU, and every other liberal activist group seeking to rape people of faith against their will - be alerted - the MuscleHead Revolution is calling you OUT!
This is only the first round...

This weekend my syndicated column appeared here on Townhall per usual. The dialogue it developed, I felt, was beneficial on several levels. It exposed the weakness in the arguments of those who still - all too often - are trying to make the issue about a woman's need for a choice, as opposed to a child's right to live...
But my column wasn't the only discussion point on abortion this weekend. If you missed it - on Friday the girls at HotAir put on a great conversation about the issue.

Our friend Mary Katharine Ham was notably more quiet in the midst of this week's discussion. But one very pleasant surprise is the very counter-cultural message that Kirsten Powers brought to the table. Powers, someone I nearly always disagree with, on nearly every thing I've ever seen her discuss, makes powerful support statements in support for the life of the unborn.
But one of her most important points was this amazing reality that I had not realized... NO ONE talks about this issue anymore. No one...
And on this issue, I am infuriated at the incredible double standard of injustice that governs the politically hot potato of abortion access in our nation today. The following is a true story that I've documented in even deeper detail in my new book MuscleHead Revolution: Overturning Liberalism with Commonsense Thinking.
I guess at the end of the day, there are a lot of things that need to be retold on this issue - to the upcoming generations. I hope the column, and these videos helped advance the task...

Interesting rhetoric from a nation state that is only seeking "peaceful, energy" use of nuclear refinement wouldn't you say? And just for kicks the second coming of Hitler added his 39th call for Israel to be destroyed while calling their political leaders, "terrorists and murderers."

The Rick Santorum Senate seat - may be the singularly most important U.S. Senate race this election season. George Soros, Chuck Schumer, et al. are spending at levels unprecedented in any other Senate race this election cycle.
Last night TownHall.com was co-sponsor of a very special event in Philadelphia featuring Senator Santorum. We have exclusive interview from this event that was also championed by three Salem talk radio shows - Hugh Hewitt, Dennis Prager, as well as The MuscleHead Revolution.
What follows is the first of a series on why - no matter where you are in the country - you need to help Senator Santorum. And with the web-technology is campaign has armed you with - you can! No matter where you reside you can help "turn out the vote" for Rick - even if you live in Hawaii!
But here is a moving and most compelling reason why you should vote, donate to, volunteer for Senator Rick Santorum - The War On Islamic Fascism!

Was Madonna able to short circuit Malwai laws (by say 18 months) because of her wealth and connections? Did she run a mis-direct? Was she too "busy" to even be there in person to bring little David out of the country? Did she have him smuggled/kidnapped? Being the father of a cross-cultural, international, adopted son myself - there is something that just doesn't pass the smell test with this.
And a growing number of voices seem to think so...

Tomorrow the MuscleHead Revolution radio show will be doing what we can to add our voice, platform, and muscles to the "Rick Santorum for Senate" cause in Philadelphia. TownHall.com, Dennis Prager, and Hugh Hewitt will all be leading the charge. Our Pennsylvania WMCA listeners will appreciate the efforts we are making to help their Senator win what may be the most important Senate race this year.
For the first 500 or so that arrive, my publisher, Harvest House, is graciously making available a free copy of the first three chapters of my new hot off the press hardback book: MuscleHead Revolution:Overturning Liberalism with Commonsense Thinking.
Th event is being hosted by the Philadelphia Federation for Young Republicans. The event is being held at the "Ballroom at the Ben" at 834 Chestnut Street in Philadelphia. The event is planned to run 7pm-9pm.

All weekend long the hate-mail was building up in my inbox, mostly due to the title of my syndicated column...
"Why Liberals Channel Lucifer"
It became readily evident that the majority of those who wrote the hate-mail got little further than the title before they began sounding off.
So to help clarify - how 'bout 'splainin some of the less than obvious subtleties...
The main one being: Lucifer was Satan's name BEFORE he was the "fallen" angel.
It was while Lucifer was still in God's presence but sought to make himself "equal to" or "better than" the Creator that led to his doom. But before it did - he was a cunning Angel of Light.
The language used by the liberal spokesmouths I quoted in the column thus likened themselves to Lucifer - because they think their morality to be equal to, or more important than God's moral standard.
I also got a lot of accusations about how "inflammatory" the title of the column was. Never mind the fact that I am still even now demonstrating how the title was based on substance of the column. If it was catchy enough to gain additional eye-balls to read it...Hey...all the better.
We also talked about the issue on today's show...with some fabulous insights being contributed by MuscleHead Listeners. (Hour 1 PodCAST)(Hour 2 PodCAST)

There will be many talking heads on many business shows in the days ahead that will discuss the finer points and nuances of where Air America went wrong and why it has now officially filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protections.
Let me offer a singularly unique viewpoint on the matter.
"MORAL FAILURE"
Before you dismiss the idea too quickly allow me a moment to make my case.
A corporation is little more than the character of the individuals who run it. Sure the X's and O's can be manipulated to sometimes, for a short period of time, appear to mean something other than that - but ultimately the truth is known.
Enron is now such a dirty word that it nearly became banned in the U.S. as one of the "unspeakable seven" words that are considered indecent.
The flip side if also true, names like Jack Welch, and Steve Forbes bring to mind gracious intelligence, steady resolve, and character to do the right thing.
An examination of the world view of Air America easily showed that the product it was selling to American radio consumers was faulty and corrupt. It made many of the same arguments that many liberal special interest groups make, but this time instead of being funded by deep pocketed benefactors, a certain degree of its success was going to have to be dependent upon the free market. But Air America also surrounded its management and personnel who were like-minded, those who shared the morally compromised views of the acidic spewing hosts of the network.
For Al Franken, Randi Rhodes, Jeneane Garrafalo to espouse the murder of vulnerable children through the act of abortion - demonstrated several flaws in regard to moral clarity.
One of which was to say that "truth doesn't matter." Talk to a woman who has experienced the "choice" of an abortion, the nightmares that haunt her, and the sadness she still feels years later and it will sound very much like the average woman regrets the snuffing out of her innocent child's life.
When the facts thusly begin to be shaded for convenience, then not only does truth become victim, but theft becomes reality. And as well all were witness to in 2005 Air America's top leadership got caught red-handed with the their hands in the cookie jar of federal tax-payer dollars. (To the tune of roughly $875,000...) (I wrote extensively on the matter in my new hardback hot of the press: MuscleHead Revolution:Overturning Liberalism with Commonsense Thinking.)
These funds were to be used for after school tutoring programs, as well as administering needed treatments to low income Alzheimers patients. After months of denials from everyone at the network including their primary front man Al Franken, eventually the city of New York opened the investigation that stopped the lies, but sought to hold Air America accountable. To date, according to public information, it does not appear that Air America has made good on the hundreds of thousands of dollars that it stole (wrongfully possessed) from the tax-payers of America and to dump into their operational coffers.
So if truth is the first victim of a corrupt worldview, and theft follows shortly thereafter, how much further behind can bankruptcy be? If a corporation is not paying its bills, and has no conscience to do so, is it any surprise that it would find itself owing $20 million dollars in outstanding liabilities to landlords, even employees?
The answer is no. But one of the biggest reasons that Air America was ultimately doomed was because it could not stomach being put under those ancient ideas of truth, honesty, integrity, and virtue.
They also just weren't very entertaining either...

The details are simple.
Air America owes $20 million dollars to its creditors. It presently has only $4 million in assets.
They owe Al Franken in excess of $300,000, and more than $9 million to RealNetworks.
It's a great day in my industry today, a great day indeed!

If you missed the show today then you missed perhaps the most important discussion related to the entire episode in Lancaster County in Pennsylvania.
- the latest revelations about the shooter - the details from the sheriff's report - the faith of the shooter's family - the amazing response of the Amish community - what we can ALL learn from the events
My guest was the always articulate Dr. Ray Pritchard.
Listen for yourself, ponder the issues, answer the questions... and be ready!
