Over the weekend came the news that two more cases put marriage firmly back into the hands of the voters in two states - though one of them may yet appeal to their state's Supreme Court.
In Connecticut the ruling was based on faulty reasoning but at least the outcome does nothing to disturb the instituion of marriage. Judge Patty Jenkins Pittman ruled against the radical homosexual activists who brought the lawsuit. This essentially prevented a "Massachusetts" from happening. No judges edict reading something into the law that's not there. HOWEVER she ruled so because she reasoned that the civil unions in the state are sufficiently enough like marriage to no longer cause a supposed conflict with the "equal protection" clause. What she should have ruled is something similar to what the judges said in the New York case a few weeks ago. "children have a rational basis for needing both a mother and father."
In Nebraska the news was even better. The 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals overturned Disctrict Judge (WHACKO) Joseph Bataillon. Battaillon had ruled that the voter approved definition of marriage in that state was too broad and deprived homosexuals of "participation in political process." HOGWASH! And the 8th Circuit Court agreed saying that a state's right to limit state-recognized marriage is "rationally related to legitimate state interests and therefore DOES NOT violate the Constitution of the United States. Nebraska voters approved their present definition of marriage by 70% of the vote.
And in other state marriage issues... Tennessee voters WILL get to vote on the definition of marriage in their state in November. Massachusetts voters will have to wait now until 2008.

A friend and Pentagon source for my show tipped me over the weekend to the main 10 signs to look for that Israel is about to launch a ground invasion into Lebanon. Boy do these make sense...
- Bulldozers went forward to clear mines. Pulled back. Already small numbers of ground forces went into Lebanon and returned. This is called route reconnaissance and engineers making certain the coming attack is organized correctly.
- A reserve division was called up over the weekend. This is a sign of a substantial operation.
- Shaping the battlefield: It may be that the air campaign is not complete which explains delay in ground attack.
- Israel looking for longer-range missiles than already seen. Fear is that Hezbollah will attack Tel Aviv with long-range missiles once Israel attacks. Thus, the special forces are frantically looking for those missiles and then targeting with fighters.
- Saudis and Egyptians are holding Hezbollah responsible. G8 statement wasn’t hostile to Israel. UN desperate for a solution.
- Fighting continues.
- Blockade in place.
- US seems slow in removing citizens from Beirut. Team that arrived yesterday is working details out of US Embassy and Marine Expeditionary Unit should be off shore soon – but out of sight for protection.
- Politically, Olmert has the support to attack and if not he would face serious problems in Knesset.
- Bottom line: Israel taking more time to deploy ground forces, allow air campaign to shape battlefield.
My brother-in-law, soon to be Navy pilot bad boy killiing terrorists from the skies, asked me over the weekend my thoughts on Israel and the crisis.
My easy response was... ARM THEM TO THE TEETH and GET OF THEIR WAY.
He agreed.

From the feedback I've gotten of both last night's airing as well as the Sunday previous, it seems the portion of the speech that had the most interest was the true story told of a forced abortion in Granite City Illinois. These events took place smack in the middle of Terri Schiavo's starvation...
Here's the video, thanks to Ian Schwartz of ExposeTheLeft for grabbing it. (And since my comments feature still isn't fixed on this page yet - feel free to drop me a line directly of your opinions - in either support or disagreement with the story...)
Drop me any feedback to kmc@wmca.com.

Last night I posted random samples of some of the left's vehemence with my appearance on CSPAN2's BOOK TV. I spoke about the Diabolical Dagger Society, why they exist, and what we should be doing about them.
A section of my speech dealt specifically with the case of Terri Schiavo. Terri's brother Bobby Schindler passed on this note to me last evening.
Kevin,
I just watched the re-broadcast when you spoke on C-Span 2. The entire show was excellent, and I really appreciate that you took time to speak about Terri.
The mainstream media continues to go to great lengths to justify and rationalize Terri's killing, so it is important for people to be reminded of the truth, which was the dilberate murder of an innocent disabled woman.
Something you articulated quite clearly. So again, thank you.
Incidentally, we are discovering more information on Michael Schiavo not only illustrating that he is an habitual liar, and that his family fabricated Terri's wishes, but also of his unstable behavior.
I hope that your book is doing well.
Bobby Schindler
Clearly articulating truth is one of the main reasons the MuscleHead Revolution exists. And Bobby when it comes to thanking others let us just say that we deserve nothing. I only wish we could have been more articulate, and thereby save your sister from an unwanted death by starvation. And I'm personally saddened that we were unable to!

Thought it might be helpful to illustrate some of the diabolical nature of the liberals I spoke about earlier tonight on CSPAN2. If you missed it - it re-airs Monday morning at 4am EST.
I watched you on Book TV C-SPAN2 and I wanted to let you know that you are truly piece of sh*t. You represent the worst of society. Inhumans such as you should be shipped out of America. I completely understand you wanting to blame liberals for the worlds ills, given the GOPs public record, you have every reason to shift the focus. I support tar, feather, and a one way ticket to North Korea. Bill Bridges (billbridges@mac.com)
And then there was...
I was absolutely appalled at your discussion before a group of young people on todays program. What a total perfect example you are of the mentality of the religious right. Every word that came out of your mouth was so predictable, the murder of babies? Abortions when they are done are done in the first trimester that is not a baby but an embryo and it always amazes me when the wackos like you talk about abortion like you do. Then of course the anti gay marriage crap as if it is any of your business who anyone marries, but you know what they say about people so threatened by homosexuality, latent tendencies and all that. What you talk is hatred, bigotry, stupidity, absoluteness? who with any intelligence can speak in absolutes? The Bible isn't absolute it was written by men, by scribes, not even by the disciples most of whom were illiterate. You don't know anymore than anyone does about complex life issues. By the way you look like you have trouble sleeping and have severe insomnia kind of have that undertaker look. Hopefully we can only pray, believe it or not liberals do pray and believe in God, wow what a concept, anyways we can only pray that after all the damage, lies, carnage, human suffering caused by the Bush administration and the mean spirited relligious right we won't have to hear from you quite so much in the future I think the majority of Americans are sick of your stupidity and ignorance and will not be voting particularly for candidates with religious leanings, by the way bozo the constitution was written to separate church from state, didn't you go to school or maybe just Oral Roberts University the same thing. Sincerely, a proud longtime liberal, Suzanne Greenlee (hansengreenlee@msn.com)
And one last sample...
I have never heard someone as oblivious to reality and intolerant to other people’s plight as Kevin McCullough. I watched the ‘Book TV’ episode which aired on 7/1/06 and felt sick to my stomach that teenagers were sitting in the room while he ran his mouth and spoke of stereotype after stereotype after stereotype… You see, the thing about real ‘young Americans’ is that they don’t think the way that a middle aged conservative does. Most have friends of different ethnic backgrounds, religious beliefs, and political stance. Most are very considerate of every one else’s right to live on this planet without having to listen to other people telling them how to everyday. Most think that people like Kevin McCullough are the reason that bombs are dropping in Beirut tonight… people who do not think about why things are happening but only who is to blame for them... people who want to shove their beliefs down the throats of everyone they meet… people who will not step down in the name of reason, but would rather ‘fight the good fight’…. To the death. Robert Ullery (raullery@indiana.edu)
Just the fact that these and others like them so misrepresent what was said makes me feel rather content that we made great headway tonight. That... plus the fact that the book jumped from 100,000 to 1315 on Amazon - and doesn't even come out until next month!
AWESOME!
By the way I included their e-mail addresses so that any who read their comments may feel free to respond. Just keep it kind - stay above board with the kind of language etc...

Israeli planes have taken out the Hezbollah HQ according to FoxNews. And in the last few minutes the Hezbollah Chief declared "open war" on Israel.
Syria and Iran also seem to be emerging as prime influences behind the conflict. This morning CNN reported that some 200 missles being fired into Israel from Lebanon were most likely Iranian in origin.
The Lebanese government is pleading with the Lebanese people to overthrow Hezbollah.
The resolve of Israel to put these thugs down needs to be supported. It is sickening to see the world community continuing to criticize Israel as they defend themselves - and yet remain silent on Syria and Iran's obvious roles in encouraging the on-going terror.

I was in the airport in Denver yesterday preparing to return to New York and passed by the newstand that had copies of John McCain's interview with Esquire magazine on it. I refused the impulse to buy it or even to pick it up.
Reading Hugh Hewitt this morning - it turns out I made a good move.
Hugh directs us to this tidbit...I would never say this publicly, but some of these talk-show hosts—and I'm not saying they should be taken off the air; they have the right to do what they want to do—I don't think they're good for America....I urge my friends who complain about the influence of the religious Right, get out there and get busy. That's what they do! Now, if we believe in the Republican party of Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt, the big-tent party, then we have to get out there and show that. The fact is, some of us have sat idly by while those very active people have basically set the agenda for our party. I get attacked every day because I'm working with Ted Kennedy. How can I work with Kennedy? Because I want to get something done!
So why am I not good for America Senator McCain? Because I have the gall to criticize your wildly unimaginative and mostly harmful stands against your own party, or is it the lack of praise I don't lavish on you for stabbing my listeners in the back - like on the issue of marriage.
You seem enraged that little guys like me have the guts to understand that your campaign reform legislation is nothing more than the attempt to squelch free speech.
Or how about the way you've been undermining the war on terror through your condemnation of GITMO, and your willingness to go soft on the animals who blew up 3000 Americans on 9/11?
And let me explain one other thing sir... you are mistaken as to who has been sitting by watching things be redefined around them... it is not you liberal republicans who seek some less than ideal for the party of Lincoln, but rather we silent conservatives who have been busy raising our kids, helping them to learn the important logical commonsense ideals.
We were awakened in 2004, and we will not be sleeping in 2006 OR 2008.
So since its too much to ask for you not to make ludicrous statements to liberal press outlets, we will instead reserve our fight for where it counts - and beat you like a drum in the GOP primary!

As the world awoke to the news today that Israel had "invaded" Lebanon, some predictable results occurred.
Kofi Annan denounced the Israeli raid. Sad!
He also "encouraged" the Hezbollah thugs who kidnapped the Israeli soldiers to release them. Even more sad!
He also never mentioned the illegal raid that Hezbollah performed in which they kidnapped the two Israelis and killed seven others.
What Israel does that even the U.S. could take a lesson from is maintain their resolve. The resolve to valliantly defend themselves, rescue their men, and stand up for themselves comes amidst the reality that they are the only nation in the region who is the target of every other nation around them.
The American left has it easy - Canada and Mexico - like us. And with two oceans on either side they seem content to just coast. This is why Immigration and to a larger extent the global war on terror have lost the impact that they should have on the psyche of the left in America.
Nationalism is seen as a bad thing, so is Patriotism.
There is no such conflict in the hearts of the Israeli people and government.
Resolve is what the Israelis are showing in Gaza and Lebanon today. They do so because they are directly threatened by soulless thugs who hate them.
The left in America tend to think we can win over the ones who hate us. Thus why they (the American left) despise Israel almost as much as the nation's of the middle east.
It is time to resume the long held belief during the cold war - some people hate us and would like to kill us. Israelis live under this reality every day, and they fight with amazing resolve and strength when challenged.
When it comes to how terror will impact the American future - the question to ask is - will we?

President Bush just finished addressing the nation announcing the great news of the budget deficit being cut far more significantly than what had been originally projected:
"I'm in the people's house and I'm here to talk about the people's money!"
"We are cutting the deficit faster than we expected!"
"The 18th straight quarter of growth!"
"Over the last three years our economy has grown by 1.3 Trillion dollars. Bigger than the Canadian and South Korean economies."
"Behind these numbers there is greater hope for the family to experience a better way of life."
"Our job is to keep this expansion going."
"Since August of 2003 we've added 5.3 million new jobs."
"We will ALWAYS fund the troops in harms way..."
"Our responsibility is to WIN this war on terror - AND - to keep the economy growing."
"Some in Washington have argued that we can not cut the taxes and cut the deficit. Our numbers today disprove that false premise."
"In 2005 tax revenue grew by 14.5% - or the greatest amount in 25 years."
"Tax revenues for this year will grow by an 11% increase."
"This year the deficit will shrink to 2% of the GDP - that's the average amount for the past 40 years."
"We face difficult economic times, and we cut the taxes because we strongly believe that the American people will bring us out of recession."
"We are one full year ahead of schedule in terms of cutting the deficit."
"We can't just grow the economy to cut the deficit - but we must also cut the spending!"
"We also need to get the line item veto out of the United States Senate. Today when the Senate loads up a bill with loads of bad spending I'm forced to sign the bill with the bad spending - or veto the bill with the needed spending."
"The line item veto is aimed at earning the trust of the tax-payers."
"34 governors have this authority - and it is an effective tool."
"Line item veto acts as a transparent deterrent."
"I strongly urge the United States Senate to take the matter up and pass it into law."
"Entitlement programs are growing faster than our economy."
"It would be so much easier to shove these problems down the road. But this administration will provide leadership on this issue. The time for playing politics with Social Security and Medicare is over. We need to fix this for the younger generations of Americans who are coming..."
"We have great faith in the American people's ability to spend their own money more wisely than the government will."
"We remained patient and said - let's grow our way out of the deficit - and its working."
"Today is a good day for the American tax-payer!"

CRIME WITHOUT THE TIME: I was rather disgusted to see how Laura Findlay announced her intention to plea bargain her case. Here is another 32 year old teacher sexing up kids - this time as many as six (that she has admitted to) yet dictating to the court that she will only accept a plea bargain that gives her 7 years or less as a sentence. I sounded off on it in my newest "PUNCH" take a peek.

BEFORE I JET: I continue to be very thankful for those of you who have followed us over from the old site at Crosswalk/WMCA. I would guess that that site will stay somewhat active until my style sheet issues, comments issues, link issues etc - get fixed here. BTW - thank you to those of you who have tried to leave me comments here but ended up sending me e-mail instead. And for those of you signing up for the newsletter - thanks as well. You will be rewarded with your first monthly issue very soon.
Earlier in the week I was a little over-enthusiastic about trying to get my pages fixed. The truth is Chuck DeFao's team have worked their fingers to the bone this week. They deserve a huge round of applause for just keeping the site online.
Chuck told me that the early traffic was running more than double what everyone had anticipated. He said that in a 24 hour period between Tuesday and Wednesday TownHall scored 1 million page views. If you're not familiar with blog traffic then you may not be that impressed by that - but let's just say its a whole lot more than what they had expected on day one!
All that being said make sure you stay in touch throughout the weekend. I'm going to do my best to post as much as I am able to. However, I am traveling. I'm heading west to Denver for the ICRS - the largest book show in America targeting the faith based book reading market. Since my soon-to-be-released book is being published by one of the Christian publishing powerhouses - Harvest House - they desired me to attend and to do a lot of media.

I know that it is what will sell books so I gladly do it - I'm also going to see how many times I can work in TownHall into my discussions as well. Just before I sat down to post I got a call from Stephen Baldwin - the good Baldwin - he and I are friends and we are planning on getting together while in Denver. Stephen's book interestingly enough is named - The Unusual Suspect - catchy title huh? My book launches in August. And the man who wrote the forward will be the first place that it debuts - Hugh Hewitt! Be listening for us on August 1 - in the first hour of Hugh's show. (I have a feeling TownHall may come up in that discussion as well.)
One last note... I spoke to the High School Conference of the Young America's Foundation in Washington DC last weekend. I was well received. CSPAN was there and taped the hour long presentation and I've just gotten word that it will air midnight (EST) Saturday/Sunday on CSPAN 2 as part of BOOK TV. So turn off the boring rerun that SNL has turned into - and stimulate the Muscle in your head. I'll post the link as soon as CSPAN has it available.

SO WOULD YOU BELIEVE: You know I think those terrorists may actually wish to kill us. At least the New York Daily News made me think so this morning. And isn't it telling that the Dems are trying with all their might to even push the handful in the their own party that take such threats seriously to the side like roadkill. And of course now we find out that spoiled child pin cushion running North Korea was trying to hit Pearl Harbor...
What is it Hugh Hewitt is always saying: WIN THE WAR, Confirm the judges, yadih, yadih...

REV. AL IS A HOOT: The man who has Tawana Brawley stamped across his forehead, was on the rampage today in a new commentary put out by CNN. The only reason I bring it up is because he goes so far as to attack black pastors in America who speak out against abortion and homosexuals redefining marriage.
Yet, some high-profile black ministers continue to employ an agenda focused solely on sexually-based themes, like denying a women's right to choose an abortion or a gay couple's right to marry, to rally their congregations and drive a wedge through our people.
Not only are they speaking narrowly on the issues of gay marriage and abortion, but even as the Supreme Court is today taking on affirmative action, there has been silence from the black church.
Rev. Al would go so far as to denigrade Dr. David Ireland, Bishop Roderick Caesar, Dr. A.R. Bernard, from Metro New York, and Bishop Harry Jackson from Washington DC. Fabulous men of character who have dedicated their lives to teaching their congregations to live lives of integrity, and to worship God openly and honestly.
Rev. Al Sharpton is a punk from the hood, a publicity seeking hound who should no more be listened to or respected as any form of a "Man of God" than Bozo the Clown, though Al does have slightly better hair!
