Is this concession in reality trying to make up for this stupidity?

My guess is - you betcha... me no likey!

Because we all know how tolerant radical homosexuals are when it comes to those of us who practice faith...

For the idiotic liberals and Baker/Hamilton suggestions that say working with Iran and Syria would be a good thing...

Iran is actively working to groom the Al Qaeda number 2..

But intelligence officials have been most alarmed by reports from Iran that President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is trying to persuade al-Qa'eda to promote a pro-Iranian activist to a senior position within its leadership.

The Iranians want Saif al-Adel, a 46-year-old former colonel in Egypt's special forces, to be the organisation's number three.

Al-Adel was formerly bin Laden's head of security, and was named on the FBI's 22 most wanted list after September 11 for his alleged involvement in terror attacks against US targets in Somalia and Africa in the 1990s. He has been living in a Revolutionary Guard guest house in Teheran since fleeing from Afghanistan in late 2001.

Alarm over al-Qa'eda deepened yesterday with a Foreign Office warning that the group was determined to acquire the technology to carry out a nuclear attack on the West.

Ok Ms. Pelosi would you please explain your liberal solution to the "problem that Iran is to be solved!"

You and your buddy John Murtha ran on the whole idea that this War On Terror is headed in the wrong direction - so could you please tell us what direction you're ready to lead us in to head off Iran's direct connection to Al Qaeda and their desire to help assist Al Qaeda get a nuke to blow us all to kingdom come with...

And if any of your hit run mindbots here at TownHall - Kimberly, Celtic, and others would like to weigh in - I am eager to hear what they have to say as well...

<crickets chirp>

Thought so...

The opening few scenarios of this story from CNN demonstrate the true guilt that moms feel today in plopping their kids in front of television that they are committing a sin of sorts, yet evidently they continue to do it.

We chatted it up yesterday on the show... PodCASTs Hour 1, Hour 2...

Common sense needs to prevail. Television is not necessarily a healthy influence on young minds - especially unmonitored - but pulling the plus completely seems to me to be an ignorant position to hold as well...

I would welcome your thoughts on how you handle it in the comment thread to this post...

For me its been a tough thing to get up and look at the news every single day since last Tuesday.

Some reasons why...
This, this, and even this...

But then comes this sick piece of advocacy from someone claiming to be a practicing Christian. The satanic thinking that pervades his view on the matter is demonstrative of why the Anglican church is in trouble these days. The homosexual activities of the Episcopal church now have competition...as Bishop Butler is actively arguing for the taking of innocent children's lives - after their born - the sole reason being simply - they are disabled.

His position is liberal, very immoral, and inexcusable...

He should be removed from his office as Bishop, and if his position does not change - he should be removed from the Anglican communion all together.

12,000 Dow Jones...

4.4% Unemployment rate... (That's 95.6% Employment for those of you who went to public schools...)

No terror attacks since 9/11 on American soil...

Just a reminder of what America voted AGAINST yesterday...

If you are someone who felt that you were going to protest the political system/cycle this go around look at just some of the things - your lack of casting a vote - allowed to be voted in...

  • Missouri - has now officially written into law a measure, as part of Amendment 2 that will allow human cloning. Here we are... carving up humans, to "save" other humans...
  • Rhode Island - has restored federally convicted felons in their attempt to secure their formally lost "right" to vote...
  • Oregon - has denied parents the right to be notified in the instance where their daughters are seeking abortions - AS MINORS...
  • South Dakota - has denied the fundamental, divine right to live to unborn children...
  • California - has now legalized, in essence the public smoking of marajuana in the Santa Monica area. (Technically there is still a legal penalty to doing so - but it carries a lesser punishment than smoking a cigarette.)
  • Washington - has extended the rights to lap dancers to full "ride" their patrons. An amendment to produce a cushion of four feet between the stripper and customer failed...

Because of your lazy backside, the advance of the moral sewer is coming closer to each of our homes - and for the 60% of you who didn't vote - we owe it all to you!

One thing not discussed yet...

The most "independent" partisan in a closely divided Senate, often has the most power. Think about it - how did Jim Jeffords create so much trouble? Divided Senate coupled with his "independence" made him a defiant and powerful figure...

On this note - let us all give thanks that that defiant and powerful figure has now shifted from Lincoln Chaffee to Joe Lieberman...

I have several very good friends, one of which who wrote a great read of a book on the matter, who argued long and loud that the key to the GOP in 2006 was to nationalize the campaign - centering in large part around the war.

We can now say - that strategy was a disaster in nearly every measure.

If the GOP wasn't going to do a better job of connecting the War on Islamic Fascism and why we have to win in Iraq - then making the clouded issue the centerpiece for candidates nationally, espcially in an atmosphere in which the souring of the public curdled so harshly, was a kiss of death in hotly contested regions.

The quasi-nationalization of the war pretty much worked in one direction only - like an anchor, attached to a thousand pound chain tied around the neck of every supporter of the War on Terror.

On local issues some GOP seats - perhaps George Allan's most significantly - could have been rallied and possibly saved. The fact that the marriage amendment won by such a large margin, and that Allan embraced so nominally can not be overlooked.

Make no mistake... America IS a center-right nation and election night 2006 confirms this!

No I'm not smoking anything...

And yes it will come back to haunt democrats in the days to come.

Look at the strategy they masterfully employed: Go district by district and seek out socially and morally conservative "moderate" democrats to run. (Casey, Ford, Webb in Senate races, and even a born-again Christian Heath Schuler in House races)

During the campaign it didn't matter to the voters how these guys would caucus once in Washington - all they had to be was the moral conservative on the campaign trail - or just enough so to take down some of the GOP's true believers i.e. Santorum, Allan.

When you couple that with another seven states that solidified marriage amendments you see an overwhelming understanding in the Emmanuel/Pelosi camp this year that the screeching liberals couldn't pull it off for them.

That's why there was no Pelosi, Dean, Reid on the campaign trail in the closing days... As you heard in the analysis ALL NIGHT last night - the terms "moderate democrat," even "conservative democrats" - kept getting invoked far more than in the last six election cycles leading up to it.

The real question will be - now that the Democrats have "figured out" that the moral radar screen really does count - what will they do with it?

I'm not as confident as my friend Hugh Hewitt who seems to think the Dems will self destruct in six months. Oh they may - and they are perfectly capable of it.

But I think a more important question for GOP voters this morning - and more importantly GOP leadership is, "Will the GOP return to its social conservative strength on issues?"

The GOP has to stop being whimps on the social stuff... and since Campaign 2008 is now underway they had better make that adjustment rather quickly...

No use in sugar-coating this...

The GOP will lose Virginia AND Montana... If the recounts do anything to surprise us, I'm not sure its good for us to sigh and be thankful for the dodged bullet anyway...

Conservatives are distinctly WORSE off today. Even thought in Part Two I will tell you why the appearances may not seem to say so...

We're the ones in the hole - let's let that sink in... and get ready to go back to work.

Yes Pennsylvania has now been called for empty suit Casey...

Hugh Hewitt firmly believes that the President could nominate Santorum for Justice for SCOTUS. He also believes that long standing Senate cordiality would mean that he wouldn't be filibustered...

If Hugh's right... this might be a longer standing blessing in disguise than any of us could realize...

After winning the ballot measure in Virginia 57%-43%...

Marriage advocates are placing a Constitutional Amendment into effect in Tennessee and with only 1% of the vote counted on the ballot measure the networks have already called it winning 85.7% to 14%.

That's larger than the needed 2/3's majority needed to ratify it for the Constitution...

Martha McCallum on FoxNews just reporting that Menendez insiders have confessed concerns about what they call "moderate" (read low) turnout in Camden counties and other Dem areas in the Garden State. Tom Kean Jr. reported live on my show earlier today tremendous thanks for the high turnout in GOP areas...

If GOP wins New Jersey - the Senate without doubt STAYS GOP...
