Talk to them, meet with them, campaign for them - he's done it all before so what's the difference? He's John Kerry - and he's "got a plan."
The Massachusetts Democrat said his visit to Syria was "a fact-finding mission" to explore "what might or might not affect behavior with respect to Hezbollah, Lebanon, Israel and Iraq, where in each of those cases Syria is playing a role."
"Dialogue is an important thing. It's very hard to move the ball if you don't know firsthand what people's needs are, what their own perceptions are," Kerry said in an interview with The Associated Press and several other journalists in Cairo.
Kerry said he was "willing" to go to Iran for talks but had no current plans to do so.

So this last week Mr. Angel Diaz, because of a deteriorated liver needed a second dose of deadly chemicals before his lethal injection would finally "take." The poor soul somehow survived 24 minutes after the first dosage, and at some point seemed to "grimmace."
Of course that means the New York Times had to produce this little piece of activism arguing against the cruelty of such treatment. 17 paragraphs of "oh how terrible it is that this man took 24 minutes to die."
Of course it had been a heck of a lot longer than that.
Diaz exhausted every appeal, including two different appeals to the U.S. Supreme Court and in the process wasted 27 years of the tax-payers money living out his days on their dime.
He lived 27 years longer than he should have been allowed to, so color me so not impressed that the unlucky chap laid on the table for 24 minutes - grimmacing. Oh no... NOT GRIMMACING.
Because of his little facial expression - both Florida and California have now suspended all lethal injections, which of course now means that other inhumane organisms like Diaz will now live even LONGER on the taxpayer dime.
I mean we can't have those jerks grimmacing now can we.
I wonder how long Joseph Nagy grimmaced in 1979. Nagy wasn't a convicted murderer, he was Diaz's victim. And while he lay dying at Diaz's feet I wonder if there was a grimmace upon Nagy's face and exactly how many minutes it took for him to die.
And perhaps most importantly was Diaz so compassionate as to offer him a second dose of lethal drugs to quietly ease his victim's experience of entering into the forever after?
Pardon me if I feel NOTHING, for Mr. Diaz's final minutes. And pardon me secondly for thinking the states of California and Florida are excercising abject stupidity for suspending the act of justice to the most heinous people among us.

Evan Byah has evidently become the latest democrat to bite the OBAMA dust. He believes the odds are "too great to overcome." (A FULL TWO YEARS BEFORE THE ELECTION!!!)
"At the end of the day, I concluded that due to circumstances beyond our control the odds were longer than I felt I could responsibly pursue," Bayh said in a statement. "This path - and these long odds - would have required me to be essentially absent from the Senate for the next year instead of working to help the people of my state and the nation."
The same AP story goes on to note:
Just last weekend, Bayh traveled to New Hampshire, the early presidential primary state, but his appearance drew little notice as Obama delivered two speeches to sold-out crowds and attracted hordes of reporters. Bayh joins former Virginia Gov. Mark Warner as well-known Democrats who already have decide against a 2008 run.
I was the first one to predict that Obama will win in 2008. Look for other potential candidates to continue to fall by the wayside. Obama, Hillary, and Gore are the only serious democratic candidates left - and there is no question that the fresh face beats the Clinton era-reruns on the trail right now. Obama is drawing crowds that can hardly be contained. Hillary and Gore still have media presence but are not drawing the man on the street interest that Obama is.
Hillary has already delayed her visit to New Hampshire and continues to put off an official announcement. Her supporters are growing antsy and want to see her take some action soon. My hunch is that Carville and co. will start Obama smear campaigns soon - but may have trouble, and if they can't get something to stick - Hillary will be done.

Barack Obama will win because he is the only Democrat playing the full field right now. (And winning...) Here's another example of that...
Obama is now reporting that he raised more than 1million in "small gifts" in 2006. (less than $200)
The only one who raised more - John McCain.

I meant to highlight this earlier in the week. But Dean Barnett has done a PHENOM job is contrasting the Sunni and Shia Muslim sects and the differences they hold.
After reading through this I began to understand why it is now so important in the minds of the the Saudis and other Sunni to get their hands on nukes - if Adolf-a-dinejhad has them - for self protection.
Bookmark Dean's post - you will find it handy at a future date I'm sure.

In route to go apologize to our troops in the Middle East for "botching a joke" about how intelligent they are, the dumbest man in the U.S. Senate told reporters in Cairo that the U.S. is in trouble because we weren't listening to the terrorist leaders of Iran and Syria.
I love the way these dimwits do this on Middle Eastern soil.
"It's very important for countries to talk to each other, even when you disagree. We have serious differences with Syria right now, we have serious differencess with Iran, but you can't begin to resolve those differences if you're not willing to try to understand.. I think it's important to begin a discussion," said Kerry, a Massachusetts senator.
But the problem is Senator, the last time the American people were polled - nobody cared what you think. But don't let that stop you from losing American respect and soveriegnty with one stupid idea after another.
We admire your determination to burn out after the first week of the next Presidential primaries...

New Jersey has become the third state to offer marriage equivalent civil unions without granting the word marriage - to people who choose to engage in homosexual intercourse with. The legislature passed the bills after being told by the state's Supreme Court that they had to.
At least the word is still protected. And it DOES count for something. Besides everybody already knew that any two people who want to can merge assets, grant hospital visitation, even leave inheritance to any one they wish ALREADY!
This coming on the same day when a clergyman who had been invited to give the opening invocation, asked God to 'curse the spirit of homosexuality' that was alive amongst the state's lawmakers.
Former Gov. Dick Codey, who because of New Jersey's incestuous laws - also was able to serve as President of the State Senate boldly announced that the pastor's actions were offensive - and that he would never again be invited back.
The state's population agrees more with the clergyman than they do the former Governor.
But the state's highest court has already judged that the people of the state of New Jersey do not deserve the chance to vote on the important matters of how "families" are formed.
It's a wonder ANYONE in the Garden State is able to awake each morning without some black robed tyrant to tell them how...

We talked about it on the Thursday broadcast. Intermingled with that discussion was the story of Obama's first television ad viewable here. We also had on Jordan Kerner the producer of the new instant classic Charlotte's Web.

Members of the congregation at Saddleback Church, the church led by Rick Warren, are evidently being ushered right out of membership for voicing any concern over the idea of Barack Obama being allowed to speak at the church recently.
I received a lengthy letter from a member of Saddleback this morning that confirmed as much:
I read where you say, speak out. I want to let you know. If and when we do, we are quickly shown the door. I have tried to speak out on another 2 issues that are internally devastating. My honesty was not met with a willingness to take action or to make certain things stop. The inner workings may be just as devastating to learn of.
At any rate, I for one am praying and asking a great deal of questions. On I have is what has Obama actually done for the AIDS crisis? Other than take an AIDS test in his father’s home land of Kenya? I have read Obama’s speech record and even his latest transcript while on Larry King and this is clearly not a man that has a burden for those with AIDS. I have also read his speech transcripts from the conference at Saddleback. If he was not addressing the “congregation” then I am not sure who he was addressing. Any fool can read just the introduction and glean that much.
There is much more to be said, and much more will be revealed on this and other matters concerning these issues.
They are not alone. Members at Willow Creek Community Church were treated the same way when they expressed concern over Bill Clinton being allowed to address a gathering of pastors.
It's too bad that these "seeker friendly" churches are actually unfriendly to their own congregation for simply asking the spiritual leadership of the church to be doctrinally strong.

Ok boys and girls I know this is getting silly... but you can not ignore the Rock Star status that Obama continues to have. His first ad for President, put together by an outside group - is more slick than most "mid-heat-of the-battle" campaign commercials.
NO ONE in either party is gaining traction, and by the time they do - they will be so far behind the curve - it will more than likely be way too late...

Couldn't resist... (Drudge has this up at this very moment...)

What actually was happening was a raid on illegal immigrants, some 1200 in number, that actually had stolen thousands of identities, social security numbers, etc. You know... the kinds of things "hard working, honest" people do when they are trying to break the law repeatedly to steal the fruit of one nation, while holding allegiance to another...
Boy - don't the Emperor's clothes look great today?
