Many years ago I thought David Letterman was the funniest thing on television. The more liberal he became over time the harder it became for me to watch him and eventually I stopped all together...

This clip from last night's show however - may be the funniest thing put on television in a very, very, very, long time.

It is awe-inspiring, yet completely discomforting all at the same time.

UPDATE: (ok I didn't intend for a double-meaning-Monica-reference there - but the fact that some of you THOUGHT SO underscores the point just a bit don't you think!)

Is it just me or are there any other grown-ups in the media world today that feel some very serious observations are needed about this girl?

First off the fact that at such a young age - she is launched into the whole prospect of having to choose to be/or to choose not to be a role model - is not something most 30 year olds would even admit to being comfortable with. And right now the under 30 celebrity crowd is not the kind of people I would allow in my house nor anywhere near any of my children...

Secondly, am I also the only person who had not really even heard of her prior to her scandals, and secondly thinks she is very "ordinary, ho-hum sort" when it comes to the "glam" factor?

Thirdly - to Vanessa - get BETTER FRIENDS! The people that continue to leak this stuff don't care about you or your well being. And on some level you deserved to have the right to grow up as a kid instead of the existence you are now having to endure!

2. The Swift Boat Vets, not only told the truth but had dozens of witnesses, and legions of sworn statements proving the truth...
3. John Kerry DID NOT serve honorably...
4. Bill Clinton is a pathological liar...
5. If Hillary is elected Bill will be first lady...

7. General Petraeus serves honorably...
8. Max Cleland's positions, like John Kerry's, like John Edward's, like Barack Obama's, like Hillary Clinton's closely parrot the "let's play nice with the terrorists and maybe they will leave us alone" positions that are in large measure SUPPORTED by Osama bin Ladin. If it were not so - then bin Ladin himself would not have ENDORSED the Democrats on the ticket.
9. Funding the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth - SHOULD make a nomination as ambassador MORE attractive not less.
10. It IS okay to question ANYONE's patriotism (especially John Kerry's) if that same person undermines the well being of our nation. (Patriotism is after all defined by the love one has for one's country.)
11. Bill Clinton is not only a pathological liar, he is also a person who lacks character and pretty much any definable virtue...
12. And oh yes... If Bill Clinton had accepted any single ONE of the multiple offers to take Osama into custody given to us on silver platters by allies - during his presidency - the GOP would never have had him to use against Max Cleland or anyone else in the elections after his presidency!

WOW - here's something you haven't seen bantied about much:

Since 2003 we've KILLED 19,000 terrorists. Just imagine if those 19,000 had been left to sit, plot, and plan for the past four years, instead of running for their lives to their spider holes, caves, etc!
