2pm: ALL women believe that men are useless around the house. They complain that they don't help. "Couples usually don't start keeping score until they're feeling stressed or disconnected from each other," says Scott Stanley, codirector of the Center for Marital & Family Studies at the University of Denver. "These finger-pointing conflicts aren't about trying to get tasks accomplished together. They're about one or both members feeling ripped off." The Lovely Bride will not "LET ME" do the dishes... something about me not getting them clean enough. NO WOMAN IN HER RIGHT MIND would let a man clean a bathroom - not if she wants it clean. Keeping score on house cleaning... 800.345.WMCA.
2:45pm: If a person won't look you in the eye - they won't tell you the truth! Clinton: "You know, Tim this is where everyone plays gotcha. It makes a lot of sense. What is the Governor supposed to do? He is dealing with a serious problem. We have failed, and George Bush has failed. Do I think this is the best thing for a Governor to do? No. But do I understand the sense of real desperation in trying to get a handle on this? Remember in New York we wanna know who's in New York, we want people to come out of the shadows. He's making an honest effort to do it - WE should have passed immigration reform. "The guys all ganged up on Hillary..." Boo Hoo! 800.345.WMCA.
3pm: The Seeker-Friendly church model is a failure. Bill Hybels himself called the findings “earth shaking,” “ground breaking” and “mind blowing.” And no wonder: it seems that the “experts” were wrong. Some of the stuff that we have put millions of dollars into thinking it would really help our people grow and develop spiritually, when the data actually came back it wasn’t helping people that much. Other things that we didn’t put that much money into and didn’t put much staff against is stuff our people are crying out for. We made a mistake. What we should have done when people crossed the line of faith and become Christians, we should have started telling people and teaching people that they have to take responsibility to become ‘self feeders.’ We should have gotten people, taught people, how to read their bible between services, how to do the spiritual practices much more aggressively on their own. So its back to liturgies, confessionals, and Christian isolationism - right? 800.345.WMCA.
3:30pm Our own web poll revealed the shocking results - 67% of YOU rely on internet contact to suffice for more than 40% of your friendships. But a recent survey suggests that, in this networked age, nearly 1 in 4 Americans wouldn't mind being left all by their lonesomes, as long as they were able to access the Internet. "This has as much to do with making new friends and social networking as it has to do with the traditional porn stuff," said Tom Galvin, a partner with 463 Communications, the Washington public relations agency that commissioned the survey. I participated this week on two occassions multiple texting, IMing conversations - in place of an actual phone call. It's the way of the future - an e-mail is a sufficient contact with a person - and YOU said so!800.345.WMCA.

It's all there the seedy shifty eyes (have you ever noticed she never looks at anyone directly), the Great Pumpkin shaped hair-style, the voice that never really becomes less screechy...
And then - there's the substance, oh the glorious spookfest of words emanating from her lips, the refusal to answer the question, the changing of the focus, and the glorious final 20 secs of the clip where she flips, flops, flips, flops, and flips again.
( Thanks to our friends at HotAir - Bryan/Michelle/Allah for grabbing this priceless bit of audio.)
In all fairness she had a tough night all the way around, the headlines certainly helped her this morning - by painting the picture as "the boys all ganged up on me." But something every security mom HAS to ask themselves this morning is - if she can't defend herself in a puny little primary debate by philosophical equals. HOW ON EARTH is she going to defend America against islamo-fascist reprobates who want to nuke us all?

AMERICA'S MOST WATCHED! and according to leading Harvard Researchers - more now than ever: AMERICA'S MOST FAIR AND BALANCED! Oh man this is gonna hurt every liberal whack pundit on the planet: The programming studied on Fox News offered a somewhat more positive picture of Republicans and more negative one of Democrats compared with other media outlets. Fox News stories about a Republican candidate were most likely to be neutral (47%), with the remainder more positive than negative (32% vs. 21% negative). The bulk of that positive coverage went to Giuliani (44% positive), while McCain still suffered from unflattering coverage (20% positive vs. 35% negative). When it came to Democratic candidates, the picture was more negative. Again, neutral stories had a slight edge (39%), followed by 37% negative and 24% positive. And, in marked contrast from the rest of the media, coverage of Obama was twice as negative as positive: 32% negative vs. 16% positive and 52% neutral. But any sense here that the news channel was uniformly positive about Republicans or negative about Democrats is not manifest in the data.

2pm: Hillary's numbers mean one thing for the voters who value, value - pick the RIGHT candidate!
2:20pm: WhenFather's SHOULD lose their rights. Jim McGreevey refuses to cooperate in the divorce proceedings from his wife Dina Matos McGreevey over custody of their daughter Jacqueline age 5. Now the judge has thrown her hands up. All the pressure is being put upon the mother. In my own experience it seems the court always sides with the mother in nearly every circumstance - sometimes, all too many times, to the detriment of the child. Not this time. The court is pressuring Dina into things she can't agree with and she serves as the last means of defense against the Pariah the former Governor is. This is all backwards. 800.345.WMCA.
3pm: Because adults refuse to grow up - our children are becoming streetwalkers - at least for Halloween. Kathy Grannis of the National Retail Federation blames Halloween's loss of innocence on baby boomers who can't let the holiday go, with their adult parties and costume contests at bars. "Halloween is no longer a child's holiday," she said. When I was a kid, the last Halloween outfit I had was one of those dime-priced plastic masks that made your face sweat and I was speed racer. Halloween has turned into an excuse for the baby-boomers to excercise a Mardi Gras orgy all across America and its forcing our eleven year old daughters down the exact same path. 800.345.WMCA
3:30pm You and I are hypocrites - especially if we are Christians. Pope Benedict XVI urged Catholic pharmacists on Monday to use conscientious objection to avoid dispensing drugs with "immoral purposes such as, for example, abortion or euthanasia." Essentially he's telling us to be strong in our witness. I know that I have failed - I've known I was supposed to speak up at times when I didn't. I've also seen how those who speak up on every little thing have become "harpy" and unlistened too. It is our job to determine where that line is. 800.345.WMCA.

Because the adults refuse to grow up - we are hypersexualizing our children - especially as Halloween approaches. It used to be that people of faith objected to Halloween on the grounds of the occult influences. But let's be honest - the lil kiddies can run door to door and get some candy right? Well even if that WAS the case - the new Halloween storm brewing seems to be more intense, more in your face, and more heavily sexualized than every before.

From today's Washington Post:
Gabby Cirenza wanted to be a referee for Halloween. The outfit she liked had a micro-mini black skirt and a form-fitting black and white-striped spandex top held together with black laces running up the flesh-exposing sides. She looked admiringly at the thigh-high black go-go boots that could be bought as an accessory. And she thought the little bunny on the chest was cute.
"Absolutely not," said her mother, Cheryl. "That is so not happening."
And the Playboy Racy Referee costume was only the latest that her mother had vetoed one pre-Halloween-crazed afternoon at Party City in Baileys Crossroads as too skimpy, too revealing, too suggestive .
Bawdy Halloween costumes, however, have become the season's hottest sellers in recent years. Not just for women, but for girls, too. And parents such as Cirenza don't like it.
Gabby eyed the Sexy Super Girl but decided against it. A friend at her Catholic school had worn that costume for a Halloween parade and pulled the already short miniskirt way up to cover her tummy. "That didn't look very good." But Gabby did like the Aqua Fairy, a vampy get-up with a black ripped-up skirt, black fishnet tights and blue bustier that comes in medium, large and preteen. A medium fits a child of 8.
No.
How about the Funky Punk Pirate Pre-Teen, with an off-the-shoulder blouse and bare midriff?
No.
Gabby pointed to the Fairy-Licious Purrrfect Kitty Pre-Teen, which, according to the package, includes a "pink and black dress with lace front bodice and sassy jagged skirt with tail. . . . Wings require some assembly."
Cheryl Cirenza shook her head in exasperated disbelief. "This is all so inappropriate. It's really disturbing," she said, eyeing a wall of such girl and preteen costumes as Major Flirt in army green, the bellybutton-baring Devilicious and a sassy, miniskirted French Maid, pink feather duster included. She'd just turned down her 13-year-old daughter's request for a Sexy Cop outfit. "When I was their age, I was a bunch of grapes."
Gabby is 11.
But the bottom line on why our kids are being forced down this path?
Kathy Grannis of the National Retail Federation blames Halloween's loss of innocence on baby boomers who can't let the holiday go, with their adult parties and costume contests at bars. "Halloween is no longer a child's holiday," she said.
Megan Smith, 16, perused the costumes at Party City with her father, Dan. She first tried on the Prisoner, a slinky spandex number with a little button at the throat and open chest like a '70s disco halter dress. She settled on Raggedy Ann, a blue mini dress so mini that the lacy underskirt barely dusts the bottom of the fanny.
No one does scary costumes anymore, Megan said. Blame that on the teen movie "Mean Girls," she said, quoting a line verbatim: "Halloween is the one night a year when girls can dress like a total slut and no other girls can say anything about it."
Yep I guess that about says it all..."

A Family Court judge in Elizabeth, New Jersey spent 3.5 hours yesterday attempting to amicapably settle the tempers of disgraced former Governor Jim McGreevey and his wife Dina Matos McGreevey (a woman scorned if ever there was one.)
Using the - get along because if you don't you'll ruin your daughter's life - card the judge is attempting to help the couple avoid a messy courtroom divorce.
No doubt if that happens the ugly sordid details of McGreevey's lies, dishonesty, rest stop adventures, national park adventures, executive priviledges, etc. will all be brought out into the light.
The judge is probably right - this will hurt the McGreevey's daughter - but my estimation is that it will be much less harmful than Matos McGreevey signing off on very unhealthy - unmonitored visits with a terrible influence on her daughter - basically a Godless father!
Go DINA! Honest, faithful, and loyal people are with you... fight for your daughter now - fewer regrets later!

If the Rasmussen folks are right, (and I personally believe they have the MOST comprehensive polling techniques at work today) then the GOP as it stands now - has a tremendous opportunity to get the White House in 2008.
With Hillary putting distance between herself and Obama nationally (although if Obama wins Iowa all bets are off) it seems increasingly clear that she will be the nominee.
With the new Rasmussen data today and even Ron Paul as the match-up Hillary can do no better than 48%.
Now for all you Clinton freaks who thinks Bill Clinton was still more wildly popular than George W. Bush - you will recall that the 40%'s were good enough to win. But you have to remember that the both Clinton victories were heavily triangulated to the right of center (Perot and Buchannan).
Gore and Kerry learned that 48% was not a desirable number... And 48% is the BEST that Hillary can presently achieve.
So what does this mean?
The GOP needs to carefully look at the positions of any and all of their present candidates and get the strongest anti-Hillary candidate there is. The most striking contrast will have the best chance.
So who does that mean? Well I have to admit that I was once firmly excited about Fred Thompson as a candidate - I wish he were as excited now that he is one - as I was about the prospect of him being one. Unless that changes significantly I'm afraid I'm going to have to go back to two of the other top tier guys - Romney and Huckabee.
Of the two - I'm most like Huckabee socially, though after having spoken with Romney now on three occassions I am as firmly convinced that he is the genuine convert that he has claimed to be.
Fiscally no doubt Romney stands in sharpest contrast to Hillary.
A Romney/Hunter ticket would be two conservatives from two very BLUE states, and possibly create headaches for the liberals to defend - what should be guaranteed victories. I believe the cascading endorsements for Romney by the prominent evangelicals, coupled with Dobson's non-criticism of him would help Romney secure most if not all southern bible-belt regions.
Long story short - I don't see Red States that Hillary could steal from the 2004 map and the GOP could be in position to yield threats in the BLUE border state (California), and the liberal nugget in the northeast (Massachusetts, New Hampshire).
Without triangulation, with clear sharp contrasts to Hillary's big-government, big tax give aways, big abortion support, and big gay marriage push - a Romney/Hunter ticket would be a conservative judo chop to the larynx - and the screech would finally be silenced!

2pm: We have a MAJOR dilema on our hands. Children pushing themselves so hard they kill themselves. A 7-year-old boy who died at home Wednesday hanged himself, the prosecutor's office said. The boy, who was reported to be a very good student, might have been upset about receiving a poor mark at school earlier in the day, sources said. I see it all the time - Children feeling like they are under such pressure to succeed. Some say it is ethnic, some say environmental. We have lost the middle ground on raising children in balanced ways. 800.345.WMCA
3pm: We crave LOVE without TRUTH, but if we are going to influence people around us that has to change. The congregation of Southland Christian Church is being asked to send letters of love and support to troubled pop star Britney Spears, described by the pastor as having made "devastating life choices... Take a few minutes and write a note to Britney Spears," pastor John Weece said in a sermon and in a blog on the church website. "No preaching. No criticizing. Just love. As a church, let's love Britney the way Jesus loves her." A completely useless excercise in my opinion when we have so many girls who emulate Britney in our own families, communities, churches and schools. If we are going to make real change we must do something very different in these girls' lives much earlier. I am doubtful it can happen though - because of our intolerance to hear, much less be challenged by truth. 800.345.WMCA. 3:20pm You have no business studying that major in school, pursuing a musical career, waiting for the jerky guy to finally commit, or staying in that job that doesn't fit. But you don't know when to say when. Or you refuse to. 800.345.WMCA. But knowing when you should call off a struggling situation can be harder to diagnose. American Idol syndrome is what I call it... why do we continue to encourage people we should be more honest with? I don't have a good answer for it - I just know we need to be more straightforward because ultimately, always telling someone to aim for the stars - DOES NOT help them reach their potential, and to me it seems there is a HUGE difference. 800.345.WMCA

It seems to be a common message in the cushy-soft-pop-tart-oh-so-nice-seeker-emergent theological excrement that gets passed off as biblical thinking these days. "Love - but don't criticize."
LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — The congregation of Southland Christian Church is being asked to send letters of love and support to troubled pop star Britney Spears, described by the pastor as having made "devastating life choices."
"Take a few minutes and write a note to Britney Spears," pastor John Weece said in a sermon and in a blog on the church website. "No preaching. No criticizing. Just love. As a church, let's love Britney the way Jesus loves her."
All the while girl's LIKE Britney are making these decisions precisely because NO ONE has ever told them no - in their entire life!
What is sad is that there is this idea - a damnedable misconception - that says, "if you really love someone you won't say anything critical to them." Yet this defies the real meaning of love - which is always wishing the true best for the other person.
I'm NOT advocating a mountain of hate-mail to Brit. That would violate the other half of the principal of "speaking the TRUTH in LOVE."
When you think about it Jesus didn't parse words. When he asked the woman at the well to give Him water to drink. He spoke to her about the truth of her moral failings - and also simultaneously offered her new life. TRUTH LOVE=Redemption!
Radical huh?

There is so much more to this story than meets the eye:
Detective Lt. Tom Ulrich said several family members were in the home when the boy died.
According to reports, his body was discovered after he failed to answer his parent's call to dinner.
Neighbors said he was an outwardly fun-loving boy who played in the large yard of his family's two-story, wood-frame house along Chestnut Avenue, near the former Newcomb Hospital.
The family lived there for about two years without much interaction with neighbors. But all appeared well from a distance, said neighbors bordering the family's home.
An interesting note buried much deeper in the newscopy tells of how the school is on standby with counselors for the children who may have questions about the boys death. One of the principals quoted as saying, "Children that age may not understand the concept of death. They just know they suddenly feel sad."
But if other seven year old second graders may not understand the concept - what on earth made this boy so depressed, so intensely regretful that he made a noose in his bedroom, figured out the math to get his neck into it and to kick out the prop he was standing on?
The only clue the officials have given us is that he was in the "gifted and talented program" at his school and tha earlier that day he might have been somewhat upset for getting a poor mark.
What are we doing to our kids?

Even though Obama aides were distributing fliers to the crowd stating, "OBAMA DOES NOT AGREE WITH McCLUKIN'S VIEWS ON GAYS," the GospelPanderFest planned by the Obama campaign seems to have come off without a hitch - for Pastor Donnie McClurkin at least.
He was without question the star of the show getting the largest reaction from the 3000 people in attendance.
The Gay-Whitey pastor that was scheduled "prayed" some nebulous words to open the night (Obama's attempted appeasement to the radical gay lobby), and then McClurkin came on to the cheers, and shouts of support.
McClurkin reportedly was surprised that his inclusion into the event brought on such an outrage.
But McClurkin, who won a Grammy in 2004 for his gospel music and is also the pastor of an evangelical church in New York, quickly became the star of the night, which was the conclusion of three gospel concerts the campaign held around the state. McClurkin essentially acted as the emcee of the event, introducing the other gospel artists who performed, and then took the stage for the last hour. In between sermonizing, singing, and raving about Obama, McClurkin repeatedly defended himself.
"I just said yes," he said of his invitation by the Obama campaign. "I didn't know so much was going to happen. I didn't know my yes was going to mean I was misunderstood and vilified. .. . Sometimes people can take your words and do this with them," he said, making a twisting motion with his hands as the crowd shouted Amens and cheered for him.
After another song, he specially addressed the issue of homosexuality, saying he had been "touched by the same feelings."
"Don't call me a bigot or anti-gay,' he said. "Don't call me a homophobe, because I love everybody. . . Let me tell you something, the grace of God is given to all men," he said to loud applause.
For all the controversy during the week, which included a ten-minute call between Obama and Joe Solmonese, the head of the Washington-based gay rights group the Human Rights Campaign, who urged McClurkin not be allowed to appear at the event, there was little tension there. A vigil that was planned to protest outside of the concert included only about 20 people, almost all white, who held signs like "We are Here, We are Queer, we are voting next year," while across the street long lines of African-Americans, who seemed still dressed for church, waited to go into the event that started at 6 p.m.
There is still plenty of curiousity as to why McClurkin would even work the Obama event from the beginning - knowing Obama's radical support for Born Alive abortions, Partial Birth abortions, the continued growth of the radical gay-rights lobby, and his massive funding from the openly hostile gay activists groups.
It is also interesting that Senator Obama did not appear and the applause to his video-taped presentation was dwarfed by the live appearance by the far more conservative Donnie McClurkin.
Very curious night indeed...

2pm: As many adults believe in UFO's, ghosts, and the like - as are fans of America's pastime. They do so - because they seek to fill a spiritual void. Liberals are twice as likely to believe in such as conservatives. And Catholics and non-religious are the MOST likely to believe. CATHOLICS? Nearly half believe in ESP. Nearly one in four Americans believe they HAVE seen a ghost. I can never recall EVER having a discussion about this with anyone. Yet there are those instances that go unexplained. And evidently the phenomenon is growing. Seeking spiritual contact in an utterly Godless existence. The real dilemma is knowing how to respond to those who claim such. 800.345.WMCA.
2:30pm: Dr. Alveda King, the niece of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., joins us to explain why she decided to relent and join Rev. Al Sharpton's "National Black Out Day" this coming November 2 - to repent and pray for the unborn children who are being executed every single day. Dr. King may also weigh in on the Obama/McClurkin dilemma. 800.345.WMCA.
2:45pm: Courts decide that underage sex for minors is not abusive, but that schools must report underage sex contact - under the age of 14 that is... Yeah... wishful thinking on that endeavor - we can't even get Planned Parenthood to report statutory rapes of girls by 27 year old men. kmc@wmca.com.
3pm: Eduardo Verastegui the leading man, producer, and visionary of the movie "Bella" that opens this weekend will join us with a look at the film that took the "People's Choice Award" at the Toronto Film Festival. (Of 5000 films submitted, only 300 get viewed, and only 1 wins this coveted title. It is also usually a precursor to the Oscars.)
3:20pm Adults view children more as accessories - than people, thus the idea that "they won't give up their life" to fit them in - is now epidemic. Brangelina and their babes have moved to and fro such places as New York, New Orleans, Los Angeles, Chicago and Prague on top of reports they are searching for Spanish stomping grounds. "It would appear that they are attempting to have the children fit into their lifestyle as opposed to them amending their lifestyle to meet the needs of their children," said marriage and family therapist Sloane Veshinski. Some of the couples that run in my personal circle of friends REALLY, TRULY wrestle with the idea of how much of "life" they must do without once the children come. It breeds bad kids, it really is the product of a society that is "me' focused. And it DEhumanizes the children. 800.345.WMCA.
