Why does John McCain hate the GOP? Why does John McCain hate faith-based voters?

Why am I asking these questions?

Because I believe those truths to be self-evident... I got more into the nitty-gritty in my column this week.

I thought it would be interesting to let you also have a sample of what the people are saying... and if the following responses don't send a jolt through the McCain camp - nothing will... which in turn might be just the point I was making... It's hard to ask people to vote for you when you think they are so "g--d-mned" stupid...

So here you go, in their own words... what voters think about McCain:

Good article and I agree. My neighbor is a lobbyist for the mortgage industry in Colorado and he still thinks McCain will be the standard bearer for the GOP and I disagree for the reasons you have articulated.  The reason why McCain won't win is simple. Rush Limbaugh plays parody bits about McCain. How can a person win the GOP primary season if Rush Limbaugh is teasing him on the radio? I think this alone proves how tone deaf McCain really is. - R.Clark

An absolutely correct assessment of John McCain. The word "arrogance" is so appropriate. I differ on one thing: I don't think there is enough time for correction. He does not think there in anything wrong. Remember-arrogance. He is a RINO. - Elsie Stevenson, Houston, Tx

Not only is John McCain adamantly against the 2nd Amendment, but as you state in your article, he has lost touch with the people who voted to put him into office, only to find he has changed to agendasize his own individual agenda and is not that responsive to the will of the people. - CW4_(R) Michael E. Banyacki, USArmy

These days I'm about as cynical toward politics as anyone. I refuse to believe the Republican base can ever be stupid enough to trust McCain as far as you can throw a piano. I am a tiny cog in the Republican Party in Minnesota. I have informed my puppeteers that if McCain, by some miracle, gets the nod, I simply won't lift a finger to help him. I can't imagine anything he can do before 2008 or in this dimension and lifetime that will change that. Most of the time domestically he behaves as if he hates the United States and what makes it special as much as Democrats do. - Steve Malone, Minneapolis, MN

I wonder why the John McCain interview on the MICHAEL REAGAN show during the 2000 primaries is never reprised. He came off as such a lunatic that (Michael Reagan), who had been supporting McCain, declared, after the interview "Well, he just lost my vote."  - J.H.Insley

I certainly hope McCain is finished. I'm a Republican and wouldn't vote for him if my life depended on it. He seems to despise many if not most of his fellow Republicans. He can go you-know-where for all I care. - Sheila M Blanchet, Guilford, CT

I'm a staunch conservative who would almost vote for Hillary (whom I despise) before I would vote for McCain. - John

I am VP for Republican Women in Ascension Parish in Louisiana and John McCain I would NOT campaign for nor vote for McCain. He is a rebel to Republican party and should be a Democrat. - Beulah, Louisiana

Amen to your article. McCain's self-promoting antics and his delusional love affair with the media has produced a burning rage since at least 2000 and his primary battles against W. The irony is that he seems to revel in the title of "maverick," which describes a juvenile or younger bovine who departs from the herd, and thus from the safety it provides with its drovers, and subjects itself to the abundant dangers of surviving the plains and its hungry predators, for which it has no defenses. It would almost be worth it to see McCain get the GOP nomination and then be torn to shreds by the same media he worships (and thinks worships him), simply because he has an "R" after his name. And it would happen; that simple fact is obvious to the the most casual observer, so why not to McCain? This kind of cluelessness is fatal, and we can't afford to have such a numbskull thinking Presidency. Thank you for the heads up to the country.  - Dennis Dilley, Oakland, CA

I could go on, but I think you get the idea... This sampling was only the tip of the tip of the iceberg of the mail I received...

If you plan to stop in to the CNN Time Warner Center in Columbus Circle on your next trip to Manhattan, you might want to think twice.

Especially if you're tempted to work out.

These janitors have every right to be offended, disgusted, and reimbursed for the pain and suffering such filth caused them to encounter.

Anyone listening to my show since the swearing in days of Bishop Eugene Robinson as an Episcopal priest, (An adamant, militant, practicing homosexual who committed adultery against his wife and abandoned she and both of his daughters to "find himself" in the respulsive sexual throes of another man...) knows that I have pulled no punches on the issue of the continual slide by the Episcopal church into heresy.

I've advised those in the Episcopal church to urge their local congregational leadership to find additional oversight elsewhere in the Anglican church or to begin attending non-anglican churches in the attempt to find and know biblical truth.

My friend Mary Katharine Ham finds herself now caught up in the media's attempt to take vengence upon those formerly Episcopal churches who have sought biblical oversight. Most recently she reports on the sliming done by the Washington Post towards a congregation that is shining a bright light to a dark world.

Armed National Guard having to take cover on our soil because of armed bandits charging our borders... oh yeah... in John "g-d--ned" McCain's home state.

Pardon me if I take harsh disagreement with the oft-inconsistent Senator from Arizona. I happen to not think it a bad thing to have a two or three layer fence, a few hi-tech drones, and National Guardsmen with the orders to shoot those who attempt to penetrate our soveriegnty.

Was this little escapade pulled off by human smugglers, drug dealers, Mexican military, or worst yet - terrorists? Was any of it designed to be a diversion for something else crossing the border at that moment just a bit down the way?

Was it a test to see what our actual defense capacity was?

Our leaders need to squirm from the discomfort these questions cause...

For all the big talk about how he needed to use the text of his faith to be sworn in with, it turns out that Keith Ellison is all blow and no go.

"I'll put my hand on a book that is the basis of my faith, which is Islam, and I think that this is a beauty — this is a wonderful thing for our country." - Keith Ellison

Burning up the news feeds today the headlines have been obsessed with Ellison's exploitation of Thomas Jefferson's copy of the Quran for his swearing in as a new Congressman.

But FOX NEWS just reported at 1:38 this afternoon that Ellison took his oath of office on the floor of the House - as did all the rest of the House of Representatives.

In a non-official photo-op Ellison copped a feel of the former president's historic copy of an English translation of the Islamic text...

The Dems have convened the 110th Congress. Wall Street will probably like it. I won't.

And don't misunderstand me, Wall Street won't embrace the Democratic agenda - rather it will probably respond favorably to gridlock of a stalemated federal government.

My one huge concern for 2007, given that not much of anything else will be accomplished?

Amnesty for those who break the law!!!

Other notes...

Our first ever female speaker of the house... joy...

And her Hillaryness has been sworn in...

I have not posted here since Christmas Day 2006. Sorry for the absence, but I needed to spend some precious time with family before the muckity muck of 2007 starts to take chunks of my flesh.

Part of the reason that I feel so compelled to stop broadcasting, blogging, etc. for even a brief season is in the examination of some of our most recent events. With the passing of President Ford, James Brown, and Saddam Hussein, one should be asking the question, "Is what I am after in this life - the right thing?"

For me it is good to take time away, clear my head, and refocus.

I was also given pause to think when speaking with some of the folks I did talk to - over the holiday break. My recent discussion with a newly appointed Naval Officer, and newly commissioned Squad Leader Marine was something that moved be greatly.

Today on the broadcast I will do something I do once every year - usually the first broadcast of the year. I will ask listeners to grade the show, and give feedback on what they would like to see more or less of. Not many talk show hosts can handle that kind of close scrutiny for much of any length - that's why I only do it for one day. But each year I have - I have learned a bit more about the personality of the MuscleHead Revolution.

As for Resolutions - I don't much believe in them. Commitments, yes, goals - absolutely - but not resolutions.

One of 2007 commitments will be to expand the technical capacities of the show. Very shortly we hope to have the PodCAST and Video Punch Commentaries available on ITunes so that you can subscribe and get them sent to you regularly.

We also will be revamping the newsletter... and in very short order I need to complete the writing of my second book.

All this to say, it feels good to be back, and I can't wait to see what happens in 2007. Thanks for giving me the chance to do it - with you!
