A few days back we relayed the already bubbling story about the two border patrol guards who were imprisoned for shooting a fleeing illegal immigrant, who was smuggling 700lbs of narcotics, in the tushus maximus.
For their efforts to defend and protect the two guards received the heros' welcome of 12 years in prison.
It appears now that evidence is surfacing that implicates the Dept of Homeland Security. Reports indicate that the DHS inspector General, Richard Skinner, did not have the evidence he claimed.
The two patriotic Americans also now seem to have been vindicated on the timeline/testimony of when the incident took place and when it was reported. (This was a major plank in the prosecution's case against them.)
One of the reasons I pleaded with listeners/readers to phone the White House and beg for Presidential pardons for these two brave Latino-Americans was because, I predicted, they would be harshly treated by the general prison population who ARE illegals that they have been busy putting behind bars for the last... oh... their entire careers.
On Monday reports began to surface that indeed as many as 5 illegals had in fact attacked one of the two men and issued him a severe beating.
That report has now been confirmed by the Justice Department.
MUSCLEHEAD MARCHING ORDERS: I would still STRONGLY encourage you to reach out to the White House and encourage them to do what is honorable - to let these men go free. WHITE HOUSE: 202.456.1414. E-mail at comments@whitehouse.gov...

It took only what, three, four days for the center-right blogosphere to get John Edwards newly hired "outreach bloggers" fired...
Nice!
Congrats to Dean, Mary Katharine, Michelle, Hot Air, and everyone else that piled on.

Who in the name of all that's holy does Nancy Pelosi think that she is?
Now she is DEMANDING (and by demanding we mean having John Murtha send threatening phone calls to the administration) to be given a military aircraft that is the equivalent size of a commercial 757.
Evidently having the old plane that Dennis Hastert had was not enough, nope - she wants Air Force One - without the Oval Office.
And what would AlGore say about the amount of fuel she would be using?
She claims she needs it for security purposes...
Here's my idea - if she needs a government vehicle for transport between Washington DC and San Fran - let's put her in a tank. Sure it would take longer - but the nation would be much better off for her making the trip.

For the last couple of days I have been embarrassing and shaming Democrats everywhere for inviting a Muslim Imam to come and open their winter retreat in a prayer of conversion this past weekend.
Yesterday we also gave you more on the radical Imam's background. (Hour 2's broadcast where we peeled back the layers on the Imam's past.)
Since most of this information has been exceedingly easy to track down, I have been shocked that Democrats are not coming forward in huge numbers to distance themselves from the terror supporting fascist that had "blessed" their meetings.
I guess I was really barking up the wrong tree... Democrats aren't distancing themselves from the terror supporting Imam... NO... Instead they are embracing and endorsing what he said.

Please explain to me what the holy heck is wrong with Texas GOP Governor Rick Perry...
Is he a stooge for the Merck Pharmecutical company? Does he despise his conservative base? Does he have a political death wish?
On Friday (no doubt to try to bury it in the news cycle) Perry signed an EXECUTIVE ORDER mandating that all incoming 6th grade girls, beginning in September 2008, would be forced to receive the HPV vaccine.
No consulting with their parents, no consulting with their pastor, or even doctors.
Legislators are upset:
"I think a lot of us were leaning towards having this available to young women and consulting with their parents and their physicians. I don't think many of us were leaning towards an outright mandate," says Rep. Isett.
Rep. Isett and other legislators are drafting a letter to Governor Perry addressing their concerns. They hope to send it in the next few days.
As are parents:
The main concern parents have is that the vaccine will promote sexual promiscuity. But in a statement released Monday Perry says, "Providing the HPV vaccine doesn't promote sexual promiscuity anymore than providing the Hepatitis B vaccine promotes drug use. If the medical community developed a vaccine for lung cancer, would the same critics oppose it claiming it would encourage smoking?"
Still many critics say he's walking a fine line edging on invading parental rights. NewsChannel 11 talked with a number of parents Monday as well as Representative Carl Isett of Lubbock to see where they stand on this issue
"I think every parent should have the right to decide what's best for their children," says Alice Escobebo, a concerned parent.
I am a proud son of the Lone Star State, but I am embarrassed by the unbelievable gaffe Governor Perry is making... and that by example he will be encouraging other state's to make in the near term. For example... The Newark Star Ledger has not run a story on anything to do with Texas politics in ages, yet today saw fit to highlight the Perry decision, and advocate for as much to happen in New Jersey as well.
It is a poor decision by Perry on a purely constitutional level, but it is an enormously idiotic move as it plays to his base.
Check Perry's deposit slips... if Merck surfaces all will be explained.
Actually the Dallas Morning News was reading my mind...

In a move to attempt to punish the majority population of Washington state...
Married couples must conceive children within three years of marriage - or their marriage would be automatically annulled under new legislation being presented to the Washington state legislature.
“For many years, social conservatives have claimed that marriage exists solely for the purpose of procreation ... The time has come for these conservatives to be dosed with their own medicine," said WA-DOMA organizer Gregory Gadow in a printed statement. “If same-sex couples should be barred from marriage because they can not have children together, it follows that all couples who cannot or will not have children together should equally be barred from marriage."
And is sure looks like Gadow has his/hers/its work cut out for them...
Supporters must gather more than 224,000 valid signatures by July 6 to put the initiative on the November ballot.
Signatures to date: 1(his own)
And so the mentality of the mentally-ill-radical-gay-mafia amongst us finally reveals its ugly head.
"Unless you legally license my sexual behavior in the bedroom and label it the moral equivalent of the marriage bed... we will try to destroy marriage - by any means possible."

Michelle Malkin highlights some additional info about the Imam that the Democrats had lead their invocation last week. The prayer was a prayer of conversion. But here's more about the Imam himself...
Debbie Schlussel in today's NYPost: (h/t: Malkin)
Al-Husainy's words before the Democrats - asking God to "help us stop . . . occupation and oppression" - were jarring enough, since he was likely referring to either American soldiers in Iraq or Jews in Israel.
But his past statements and activity make those words even more ominous.
Al-Husainy heads the Karbalaa Islamic Education Center mosque in Dearborn, Mich., one of the largest Shiite mosques in North America. He is an open admirer of the late Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini - under whose rule Americans were held hostage for 444 days.
During last summer's Israel-Hezbollah war, al-Husainy led rallies in Dearborn in support of the Lebanese terrorist group. Protesters displayed swastikas as well as anti-American and anti-Semitic posters.
I attended one rally, at Dearborn's Bint Jebail Cultural Center - named for the stronghold in south Lebanon from which Hezbollah rockets rained on Israel. Al-Husainy was among several who delivered hate-filled, anti-American rhetoric. He cheered as others called for the hastened destruction of the Jews.
Nice catch these Democrats snagged...

Some background on the Imam's prayer - and why it IS a prayer of conversion. Additional background on the Imam's radical activities including daily protests he held last summer against the United States - on our own soil.
We also discussed the implications of this on the show yesterday, and it made for fascinating listening - the first caller out of the chute attempting to label me Islamo-phobic: Hour 1, Hour 2.

If you've not heard much about Joshua Sparling you need to know that he is a true American hero. In the midst of having to deal with his devastating injuries sustained from his duties in protecting the American people, he was treated to a "we hope you die" card that had been to look "patriotic" on the outside. Michelle Malkin first shined the spotlight on the incident.

"Dear Soldier, Have a great time in the war and have a great time dieing in the war. From, Miguel
P.S. DIE"
One year later Sparling had to have his leg amputated.
After more than five hours of surgery Wednesday, Pfc. Joshua Sparling is slowly recovering from having his right leg amputated, his father said.
Doctors had hoped to save the 25-year-old Greenwood Township man's leg after he was hit by a bomb in Iraq nearly a year ago, but the damage was too extensive. The surgery was done at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
Mind you - he was hit by a bomb, the doctors tried for five hours of surgery and one year of waiting to see if his leg would heal, but in the end he lost a limb.
So it was bad enough when he got the death wish card, but only a week ago as Joshua was asked to speak in support of the troops via a counter demonstration at the less-than-massive anti-war rally in Washington DC. This was the reception he received.
Now to add insult to injury the moonbats at DU are labeling PFC Joshua Sparling - a war hero - an outright liar.
I simply wonder how many of the cowards at DU would be willing to take a bomb for their own family or friends - much less this nation that they hate with such vengence.
No further evidence has surfaced to indicate that this scene actually occurred, but of course it plays nicely into the widespread-but-mysteriously-never-documented stories of anti-war protesters spitting on Vietnam veterans in the '60s and '70s. So Josh Sparling happily visited Hannity & Colmes that night to confirm that indeed, he had been spit upon by a protester, and - contrary to the Times report - he did not spit back.
SPARLING: What we were doing, actually, was doing the anti-protest protest, and we were there with our flags, and all that happened was a fella saw me wearing my 82nd Airborne sweater, and I noticed he also had an 82nd patch on his own sleeve, and he said I was a disgrace, basically, and that I was -- that I had blood on my hands and that I had no right wearing the uniform, and he spit at me.
ALAN COLMES: And you spit back?
SPARLING: Of course I did not.
The thing is, there's plenty of video of the peace march on YouTube, and if you check it out you can clearly see that Sparling and Co. are some distance from the anti-war protesters. Yet curiously, despite all the video and photographs which were taken at the event, there is no evidence of anyone actually spitting in the direction of Sparling. But you can take his word for it, can't you? After all, why would he lie?
In the same story the DU pondscum outrightly also lie about Malkin's claims that even the links in this post - already disprove.
Disgusting, dispicable, deceitful, dirtbags... that's the state of modern day Democrats.

Ahmadinejhad's got something in the works...
"The Iranian president also reiterated that February 11 is the day when the Iranian nation's inalienable right to access and use nuclear technology will be established," the agency added.
"The Iranian nation will celebrate stabilization and establishment of its nuclear rights during the Ten-Day Dawn, (sic)" Ahmadinejad was quoted as saying. The "ten-day dawn" in early February marks the date of the Islamic revolution in Iran in 1979.
"When a nation decides to stand on its own feet to climb up the peaks, God helps it and that nation will embrace victory," Ahmadinejad said.
Is anybody paying attention... does anyone care?

My favorite moment of the evening from last night:
"I'm proud to be the first African-American coach to win this," said Dungy during the trophy ceremony Sunday night, according to the Associated Press. "But again, more than anything, Lovie Smith and I are not only African-American but also Christian coaches, showing you can do it the Lord's way. We're more proud of that."

The Vice-President's daughter who has headed two homosexual activist groups, served as the "gay-liason" for Coors beer, and most recently spearheaded efforts for the GOP in reaching out to homosexuals during the 2004 election cycle has gone public in the debate over the welfare of children and the numerous studies that point to the benefit of having a mother and father.
After making these statements she also then immediately declared that her baby was "off limits."
Sorry - its just plain dishonest and insincere. And... its not about her...
God designed that a child could only be brought into this world through the biology of one man and one woman. Because mankind has figured out a way to cheapen that process - doesn't make the result equal in terms of moral rightness. And it is something we must patiently tell the truth on, even to those we love...
