At one of the major morning sessions the authentic argument for the TWO AMERICAS theory was argued... but it is major contrast to the idea that John Edwards is running for President on...

Chalk up one more reason that Ann Coulter's verbal bomb yesterday was unwise: JOHN EDWARDS is now raising money with it. "Coulter Cash" as it is being referred to is being requested on the Edwards website.
They desire to raise the cash in order to "Keep the campaign charging ahead and fight back against the politics of bigotry."
There goal is to raise $100,000 in the next 24 hours.
FReepers are saying that the Edwards site has gotten so much traffic - that it has in fact crashed the servers.

There is no one alive in the modern Conservative movement who has taken more abuse for standing up for conservative thought than Ann Coulter. No one in recent years has been more fierce in fighting liberalism. Her name, voice, sight, creates panic in the heart of leftists.
But sometimes she loses it big time...
Today at CPAC Ann needlessly painted a target not on herself, but on the Conservative movement as a whole. Within minutesliberals were willing to lay the blame for the idiocy of her remarks - which were unnecessary and accomplished little than cheap laughs - at the feet of the conservatives gathered at CPAC, and in addition by extension the GOP/Conservative candidates for President of 2008.
This on the same day when CPAC had reason to celebrate its biggest success of its 34 year history. Highest ever attendance at 6300 attendees. Also my first time ever to emcee, which I'm convinced had much less to do with the record turnout - than did the speeches by ALL relevant GOP candidates. Brownback and Romney both came courting MuscleHeads...

So... long story short - truly toooooo bad that Ann had to go off and in an all too obvious way create the storm of publicity for herself, while quite literally leaving the "movement" for which she is so well known in the dust having to clean up her slop, and put the parts back together again.

A big thank you to everyone who jumped on the air with me at CPAC. We had our best coverage to date. With popular spokespeople for the Conservative cause like Hollywood star Pat Boone, Cabinet Secretary Elaine Cho, to the best of the blogosphere with Mary Katharine Ham, Captain Ed, and Anklebiting Pundits, to the candidates seeking our votes in 2008 - Mitt Romney, Sam Brownback, and Jim Gilmore.
Catch the coverage in the archived PodCASTS or listen right off the screen of your computer: Thursday Hour 1 - Pat Boone, Gov. Jim Gilmore Thursday Hour 2 - David Horowitz Friday Hour 1 - Mary Katharine Ham Friday Hour 2 - Sam Brownback, Captain Ed, Pat Hynes, Mitt Romney
A big thanks to Blog Row Administrative Sweetheart: Kristina Grabosky for the picture of the MuscleHead Revolution in ACTION!

The better man from Hope (Arkansas) took the stage this morning during my gig as emcee. Mike Huckabee is a committed Southern Baptist Christian. He is a committed man of faith. He is a TRUE fiscal, and social conservative - AND he is a declared candidate for President in 2008.
He had one of the best lines of the day from his address this morning.
"We can't afford to elect people who simply reflect a culture and reflect a common view, but don't necessarily believe it," the former Arkansas governor said, indirectly referring to the three leading GOP candidates - Sen. John McCain of Arizona, former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani and ex-Gov. Mitt Romney of Massachusetts.

As the Vice-President said in his speech last night. He probably was the final speaker we would hear from for the week that isn't running for President.
Tancredo, Romney, Giuliani, Brownback, Huckabee, Gilmore - and the rest are all here.
Campaigning has been intense, Mary Katharine Ham was yesterday wearing sticker for both Mitt and Brownback - at the same time!
The big loser for the weekend? You know who....
As Hugh pointed out yesterday - the race is narrowing, its truly the choice now between Giuliani and Romney - and since the Senator Maverick seems hellbent on stupidity - I guess it's staying that way.
One last note. The CPAC bloggers were absolutely merciless to a nice guy yesterday - Pat Hynes - (he's on the blogging payroll of McCain). Pat all but admits McCain will be done soon - and we bible-thumpers will all be happy once again.
I'm emceeing this morning from 8:30-11:30, followed by my 12noon booksigning, the show must go on at 2pm - with Mary Katharine Ham joining me today, so I'm off for a busy, busy morning.
Back as soon as I'm able!

A fun little game I am advocating for between now and the elections of 2008 is titled, "STALK the candidates 2008." The basic jist goes something like this, ask the candidates at every turn, on every occassion possible, until they turn red-faced from having to answer them so often - the questions that really matter. In the first version of the game it's simple...
"If it can be proven that Iran is sending molten weapons to blow through our plated vehicles and body armor - INSIDE of Iraq - what would you do about it as President?"

For the next three days I will be joining some 24 other bloggers, some 20 additional talk radio hosts from across the country, and some 6,000 committed conservatives in our nation's capital to talk everything from taxes, guns, abortion, marriage, the war on terror, and just about everything else you can imagine at this year's CPAC.
All but one of the GOP candidates declared/considering will be addressing the group. Even Rudy Giuliani has agreed to come into the "lion's den" and face the music with conservatives. I give him props for facing 'em man to man.
The one candidate who didn't have the courage to show his face? The one claims he is the most solid conservative in the race, can't make time FOR conservatives, but DID make time for Letterman.
My days at CPAC will be filled with fun - and I hope that you are not only there but that you come by and say hello.
I'm doing a booksigning for Young America's Foundation on Thursday at 11:45am. I'm broadcasting from Radio Row both Thursday and Friday. On Friday morning I take the main stage and emcee from 8:30am-11:30am. At 12noon I'll be doing a CPAC booksigning...
The rest of the time I will be hanging with the credentialed bloggers:
• Ace of Spades HQ • Alarming News • American Mind • American Spectator • Ankle Biting Pundits • Captain’s Quarters • Hot Air • Human Events • Fausta’s Blog • Little Miss Attila • Michelle Malkin • Musclehead Revolution • National Journal • NewsBusters • NOVA TownHall • Outside the Beltway • Politico • Reasoned Audacity • Red State • RobertBluey.com • SaveTheGop • SeeJaneMom • ShopFloor.org • Spot On • The Conservative Voice
Look forward to seeing you and blogging all the action. We will also be live web-casting segments, radio shows, and special features. Keep checking back here for the when and where!
See you in, or from, CPAC in Washington...
