The last two weekends I've had the priviledge of making some new friends on the courses...
Andrew - a New Zealander who works in Rudy Giuliani's law firm... Mike - who caddies at a course on Long Island (Liberty National?)... Owen - a Jamaican who manages properties in the NYC Metro... Pete - the best lefty of the bunch, and a very LONG hitter... Rushie - formerly one of the top high school players in New Jersey, and tri-lingual... Jessica - a fashion design major who is interested in switching to photography...
Just my way of saying, "Hey..."
I was honored to get to play with these friendly enthusiasts. Despite shooting a 12 on my opening hole this weekend, I finished with a 95. If I had parred that hole I woulda, coulda, shoulda...
I finished with 5pars, 6bogies, and 6doubles... and one 12.
But isn't that why you go back out the next time?
Love golf? kmc@wmca.com...

Isn't that how you headline it when the one and only MKH makes an appearance?

She was with me today to discuss the problem of the hostile, IN YOUR FACE, anti-assimilation crowd.
Her newest column, which sits alone atop the "most viewed" columns for Townhall this week, got the ball rolling, and from there the callers took over. Hour 1, Hour 2.

So the questions stands... is Jessica Alba a self-hating Mexican?

The MuscleHead Revolution broadcast is honoring our high-school, college, and grad school grads this coming Friday at 3pm EST.
The first ever "MuscleHead Commencement Ceremony" will come complete with a charge to the graduating class, and the graduates will be honored with their names/schools of graduation. We would also like to extend this honor to relatives of our www.MuscleHeadRevolution.com readers as well.
If you have a niece, nephew, son, daughter, etc. that are finishing up a course of study (high school, college, or grad school) please feel free to submit their names, shipping address, and the school from which they are completing their studies.
We've also got a nice "congratulations" gift to send the graduates. (a copy of the commencement address on CD, an autographed book from me, and an enscribed certificate for the MuscleHead class of 2007).
Send their name our way before 11am EST on Friday if you would like them to be included. And then have them listening at 3pm EST on Friday!
It's just our way of saying, "HEY job well done!"

The angrier I got... The beltway does NOT get it... Sean (who is a competitor of mine in NYC) patiently, persistently put the facts in front of Snow and he simply reverts to Bush-speak implying Hannity was a nativist, isolationist, etc.
INFURIATING!

If you haven't checked out TownHall's new VIDEO section - well you're missing something special.

Today - some post Father's Day good news for the man who nearly won the USGA U.S. OPEN on Sunday - Tiger Woods. He's a new daddy.
I'm told that soon the McCullough PUNCH will be joining the line-up as well.

Dean Barnett is one of my favorite fellow bloggers here at TownHall. His analysis is fascinating to read - especially given that he is firmly entrenched in Marxist Massachussetts as his home base.
He's openly advocated for Mitt Romney, and continues to do so unashamedly - as he should if he so desires! I was previously leaning Romney but confessed this weekend why I was more or less couldn't help myself in my enthusiasm for Fred. Thusly I am now openly pro-Fred.
But here's what my friend Dean is saying about those pesky Rasmussen numbers:
Pre-Fred, I was pretty confident that Mitt could handle Rudy and McCain since both guys hauled such major baggage into the campaign. Fred’s different. Unlike McCain and Giuliani, there’s no reason why Fred can’t be the nominee.
Kudos to Dean for the honest admission.

I know, according to some AP hack named Glen Johnson - Mitt Romney is the frontrunner, but look at this trend in one of the most reliable polls over the last three election cycles - Rasmussen.
FT RG MR JM 6/19 - 28% 27% 10% 10% 6/12 - 24% 24% 11% 11% 6/05 - 17% 23% 15% 14% 5/29 - 12% 25% 16% 15% 5/22 - 14% 26% 15% 18% 5/15 - 15% 25% 12% 18% 5/08 - 16% 25% 12% 17% 5/01 - 14% 30% 11% 14%
Imagine what will happen when he actually announces and starts raising and spending money!

Right now the top story on our front page here proclaims, "Romney the Frontrunner?"
I've got a lot of problems with the story.
1. It is non-sourced. This is always a bad thing in journalism to have something run with absolutely no credit being properly assigned. There is no recourse for the readers, no context, and no possibility for clarification.
2. It is a highly biased piece. To come anywhere near the conclusion that Romney is leading the polls is something that has to be seen - again - in context. Does he lead ALL polls in the three early states? The piece gives us the overwhelming sense that he is.
3. It is a blatantly false piece. The MOST recent poll in Iowa shows Romney running third, nearly 10 pts. behind the leader. In New Hampshire he IS leading his neighboring state. And the latest poll in South Carolina shows him running third 14 pts behind Fred Thompson - the new leader in that state. And since Florida is a new "early" state let's throw in the latest poll there - yep Romney is 3rd behind Giuliani, and Thompson, and leading only McCain.
The breaking news this morning is Fred's new FRONTRUNNER status in South Carolina.
So don't buy the hype. Right now Romney has the money to spike a poll here and there, but he is under no delusional possibility - the new Frontrunner. And for the still anonymous author to make Bob Dole's aide the primary quoted source in the piece just adds to its farcical tone.
"Mitt Romney is now positioned as the front-runner for the nomination," said Scott Reed, who managed Bob Dole's 1996 presidential campaign.
Quite a joke indeed!

In the election cycle that has been underway this incredibly early part of 2007, I have had a chance to shake the hands and speak personally with all of the presidential candidates.
I have to say in the early going, and largely due to a few factors - his defense of marriage in Massachusetts, his stunning credentials and record of CEO success, and because of my good friend's great book "A Mormon in the White House" by Hugh Hewitt - I was leaning strongly Romney.
Here on TownHall, Dean Barnett has challenged all of us to articulate clearly who we are supporting so that we have the most honest debate possible. He said so, and then immediately proclaimed his loyalty to fellow New Englander - Mitt Romney.
Matt Lewis has not fully endorsed John McCain but he has definitely been faithful to keep some of us more anti-McCain cranks honest about the facts of Senator Cranky.
Patrick Ruffini has openly admitted his connection to the Rudy 2008 campaign and in doing so is benefitting TownHall readership by giving us a perspective that would more than likely be absent were he not to do so.
I have never done so in a campaign cycle - certainly never this early - but I am proud to announce that today (really as of mid-day yesterday) I am an eagerly, enthusiastic, anticipatory supporter of Fred Thompson. I have leaned his direction ever since first hearing the possibility but had to tell myself that focusing on the declared candidates was the reality - everything else just speculation.
I believe Thompson will win for a variety of reasons. He understands technology, and the total scope of the blogosphere in a far more superior way to any of the rest of the candidates. But he has also not abandoned the gray hairs - of which there are far more of than ever before for an election cycle in America. He's gone from last place to tied for first without spending any money - and behind the laid back calm gentile facade is a fierce defender of America.
So I figured - why hide it anymore. I'm a Fred-head. So yes - the Musclehead blog will have a Fred-bias to it - as the Hewitt blog has a Mitt-bias, and as the Medved blog as an Amnesty-bias. The important thing is that we are honest about the views from which we are coming from and allow you the TownHall reader to examine our rationale for itself.
So what pushed me over the edge? Well, Fred has had some bang-up speeches and television appearances. He's written a weekly column for us here on TownHall bringing his common sense directly to us, and in doing so he's eliminated a lot of the filters by which messages can usually get mangled. He also speaks so that everybody in the room can understand - and funny enough according to the poll numbers - they do. I do look forward to seeing Fred in the debates and when he arrives, look for him to shoo away the attacks of the others with the ease that he puffed cigar smoke into the face of Michael Moore.
But if you really have to know what pushed me from Mitt to Fred: National Right To Life 100% rating... and the rest of what he says in this video to the NRLC that met in Washington last night.
Plain speak on life, culture, and terror... He is unequivocal - and none of the others are.
HOW REFRESHING!
