I can't for the life of me stand another reality talent show. American Idol is enough to satisfy me year round, but I JUST stumbled on this little clip from "Britain's Got Talent" (a show originated and owned by Simon Cowell) and this guy just blew my hat out the door.

He's so humble and nice, a little chubby, pretty sad story... AND THEN HE SINGS!

It also doesn't hurt that he sings one of if not the most incredible pieces of music ever written: Nessun Dorma

This is the Al Gore, Al Gore used to be before present day Al Gore swallowed him whole.

He makes a convincing case wouldn't you say?

I generally like Mort Kondracke of the "all-stars" on Special Report w/ Brit Hume, weeknights on FoxNews. But the last couple of nights he's been throwing up these manufactured polling numbers on the immigration/amnesty bill like they were gospel. His fellow line-up members have been seen nearly getting physically ill.

So Mort-man chew on these!

A survey conducted May 30-June 3 by the nonpartisan Pew Research Centerfor the People and the Press found overwhelming support - amongtwo-thirds of the public - for giving illegal immigrants citizenship ifthey have jobs, pass background checks and pay fines.

But people were fairly ill-informed about the complex Senate measure, which less than one-third said they had heard a lot about.

Those who had heard at least a little about it were split on the Senatemeasure. Of that group, 33 percent favor the bill, 41 percent opposeand 26 percent gave no response or said they didn't know. Republicans opposed it by 43 percent to 36 percent, Democrats by 37 percent to 33 percent, and independents by 46 percent to 31 percent.

Note every category of voter OPPOSE the bill, and these are ones that had only heard "a little bit" about it. Imagine the numbers if we all were reading the whole thing...

After dry-humping a 14 year old pastor's daughter across a stage in the carribean, Akon decides it would be kewl to throw a 15 year old from a stage.

His attorney puts it this way:

"Given the information that we have reviewed to date, it does not appear to us that Akon was involved in any criminal conduct whatsoever," said a statement released by Akon's Manhattan-based attorney, Benjamin Brafman, through Dan Klores Communications in New York City, a public relations firm. "We are prepared to fully cooperate with any law enforcement agency that may be investigating this incident. We are confident that after a thorough investigation it will be apparent that no criminal prosecution of Akon is warranted."

Hot Air had it up first, but it is interesting to see Ann go after someone like Fred. Though I think one stern Big Daddy stare and Ann bursts into tears, "sooooorrrry Daaaaddddy!"

Talk about pandering to a specific crowd...

Where there should have been instruction - by a leader to avoid such things - Senator Obama plunges right in as to prophesy their occurance, which could in the end be a self-fulfilling prophecy.

More is expected of a Senator, much less someone who wishes to be the leader of the free world.

Not that he cares much. Hillary can't come anywhere even close to pandering this much. And if she did it would be seen by African Americans as being some sort of mimicky gimmick to imitate Obama.

RACEBAIT 2008, Obama's da man!

So I guess this rules out checking my e-mail in front of Panera anymore.

But seriously - a five year sentence for using what is billed as a "free" service to begin with? Shouldn't there be some burden on the coffee shop to password protect their service to customers only?

How did this man break any law? Computer network "hacking"? Is it "hacking" to use a free signal that is unprotected and within range of where I am?

Admittedly he chose not to fight the charge and got off with a $400 fine. But I for one would hate to see this become enforceable precedent.

And if it does - then I'm guilty of about a gazillion dollars worth of fines...

Today's new Rasmussen numbers have got to making the already declared front runners for the GOP Presidential race quake-in-boots. For a few reasons...

1. Fred is more articulate than all three of them combined.
2. Fred hasn't spent a dime of money yet.
3. Fred is pummelling the field (or as close as you can come to it - without even having raised, much less spent any campaign monies.)

If it were Zogby that were relating these numbers that would be one thing. It's an all together different animal when Rasmussen is the one reporting them.

Now running in 2nd place by himself nationally. And inching to near the margin of error range against the "front runner" it all adds up to some very interesting speculation.

Why is he doing so well?

1. He's as savvy as Mitt, but far more folksy.
2. He's as tough as Giuliani, but also far more tender.
3. He's every bit as much for the prosperity of immigrants as McCain, but also thinks border security is a raging problem.

And I have to keep coming back to his style of communication. Fred has been extremely savvy at getting his ideas across. The Paul Harvey fill in stint was brilliant. But he also beganwriting a weekly op-ed (sometimes bi-weekly) in which he has taken his simple, straight forward ideas directly to the people. Some of the other candidates have tried their hand at it - but NONE of them have done so with the regularity and consistency that FRED has. And its not just the fact that he is doing it - but it is in the mannerism, plain-talk, common sense method of how its done that makes him different.

I definitely think Ruffini is on to something. Expect a bump when Fred announces...

Can you say peaking at the right time?

He never quite finishes the implication, but he found out one thing for sure... playing the race card against the Bush White House will win him standing ovations.

Hillary should be very worried about this pro-active race-baiting posture, because she won't be able to compete and it will will solidify the narrow-minded in and amongst the black community.

Remember Hillary needs upwards of 70% of the black vote to win the nomination...

What the heck happened to Joe Scarborough? He used to be a rational conservative, and dignified human being.

This is beneath a man of his reputation - at least the man he used to be:

In my weekly column that ran yesterday, my critics repeatedly expressed disgust and disdain for me asking the question of when is it legitimate to criticize adultery.

Actually a better way of asking it is, "When is it ok to stand up for the betrayed spouse?"

Read the chirp-heads in the comment section... oh how they hope I am someday photographed coming out of a strip joint with a woman other than the lovely bride.

But why would they hope, root, cheer for the emotional scorched earth that such actions would bring her?

How indecent is it for us to defend the vile, and HOPE for the destruction of the innocent?

Come on you mouthy commenters, what say you?
