Over the weekend those who read my column here at TownHall discussing the issues of "peeping toms" in New York thought they scored a political victory on Monday night when the Senator Craig story emerged.
In fact a number of commenters on my column's message board have invoked the Senator's name and are calling me a hypocrite for daring to point out that peeping toms are a legitimate threat to the privacy of women and children.
One problem there liberal whack jobs...
Liberals, as was evidenced in the Bill Clinton case circled the wagons and admired his proclivities. He became in those moments the most beloved Democratic figure in liberal America's history.
Conservatives on the other hand punish those who act out. The truth of that statement the very evidence that Denny Hastert became majority leader in the House. (Gingrich and Livingston were both tossed overboard.)
Senator Craig pleaded guilty to soliciting bathroom sex. GROSS. Resign, be done with it. And I'm not the only who says so...
No defense, no speculation, no waiting for the winds of change to blow. Resign Senator Craig, resign today.
There is no justification for pleading guilty "to just be expedient." One's reputation is really the only thing they have that lasts. Resign Senator Craig... Resign today...
See - though my critics disagree as to the value of morality in the culture, they will never convince me that this kind of conduct should be allowed.
Resign Senator Craig...

Just for fun - I thought I'd pull out some of my old music days footage. In 2000 my band and I did a little time in Eastern Europe. In this video our lead guitar player stepped up on the last stop on the tour and ripped a Delirious tune off the wall:
Ladies and Gentlemen with no rehearsal of any sort, and improving the song start to finish: ZERO BC w/ Doug Bardolph on lead...

2pm:My take on the very latest... - Attorney General Alberto Gonzales is gone... Looks like solid reasons to me. - NYC's tax-payer funded Madrassa continues to draw fire as the school year nears... - Michael Vick says he needs to turn his life "over to God." Not a bad decision... ever! 2:20pm: My column this week deals with the deviancy of a society that protects perverts who wedge themselves into places to specifically invade otherwise unsuspecting females in otherwise reasonably private places for the single motive of prurient exploitation. We discussed it on Friday and the need to ban such practices as illegal largely out of a motivation to end the victimization of innocent women and children. The push-back against me was harsh, normally social and moral conservatives even took swipes: arguing vagueness in the law, or seen as lacking in certain provisions. What I TRULY want to know and understand is - do these people truly mean it? Are they willing, like the ACLU, liberal talk show hosts, and even avowed feminists to side with the perverts on this? Your calls are welcomed - particularly if you read the column and DO disagree with me - and its toll free across the nation: 1.800.345.WMCA. 3pm:My take on the latest... - IPhone hacked... unlocked phone selling on E-bay for $12,000. - University adding "gender neutral bathrooms" after "unisex" bathrooms failed... - It's not your Homer Simpson's donut anymore...hmm trans-fat! 3:20pm:The suicide attempt this weekend of Owen Wilson strikes a lot of chords. By all outward appearances he has it all. Girls, Wealth, Substances, Fame... yet they didn't satisfy. So he began to act out a scene he had written into the script of Royal Tannenbaums for his brother's character. There is so much pull in our lives to live for those things - but considering the price to obtain them - what do they bring us? And aren't we all truly looking for something that last beyond this life anyway? How do we deal with the eternal part of who we are? 800.345.WMCA 3:55pm: The McCULLOUGH PUNCHJoy vs. Happiness - is there a difference? Which is better? Weekdays 2-4pm EST Listen "LIVE" click here. I originally posted the majority of this post on Saturday. It has been a particularly emotional season for me these past weeks. The Lovely Bride has been struggling with health concerns for the better part of three months, she's lot quite a bit of weight etc.
This past week was a tough one for some of my dearest friends. My best man saw his mother disintegrate quickly from brain cancer. Another of my friends from the college years, whose beautiful young wife is still very much in her prime, had bilateral masectomies yesterday - and 20 lymph nodes had to be removed.
Life is harsh sometimes... you lose track of people you care about, and then BAM life has a way of crashing everything back together. Please pray today for Doug and Beth, and David and Robyn.
Then on Sunday night the news started to get out about Owen Wilson. A man who by all measures had everything. Girls, Money, Fame, and on the other side of all of that it appears he chose to take a cue from the Royal Tannebaums character that his brother Luke played (and Owen also co-starred in)... where the man slits his wrist in hopes of ending everything.
It's not as nearly an uncommon occurrence as we would like to think it is.
It is also a reminder that these days we have upon this place are exceedingly short! On the outset we need reminding that we were created for but one purpose.
To KNOW the God who made us, and to KNOW the peace and contentment within one's heart that only comes from a right relationship with him. Because of our inability as human's to do this in our corrupt and sinful state - we need redemption that only comes from outside of us.
We need redemption that has the power to supernaturally break the hold that all the wrong answers for our life insist upon feeding us.
Interesting enough... GOD - the Creator, is the only one capable of providing such redemption. And it is in HIM we have need to place our faith, trust, obedience, and life.
In doing so WE DO FIND not only redemption but a renewed relationship with the Father who made us, and in doing that we find peace, contentment, and true joy (not its bastardized substitute "happiness") for now and all eternity.
I've probably said it in as sloppy a way as it could be said.
This says it far better and with far fewer words:
And how can I stand here with you, and not be moved by YOU? But you tell me, "How could it be, any better than this?"
"...'Cause YOU're all I want, YOU're all I need, YOU're EVERYTHING!"

Even by Paris Hilton standards this is a joke: Lindsay Lohan for multiple DUI's, possession of cocaine, and only the Almighty knows what else... gets... 1 day in jail.
Lindsay Lohan reached a plea deal Thursday on misdemeanor drunken driving and cocaine charges that calls for her to spend one day in jail, serve 10 days of community service and complete a drug treatment program.
She was also placed on 36 months probation, is required to complete an 18-month alcohol education program, pay hundreds of dollars in fines and must complete a three-day county coroner program in which she'll visit a morgue and talk to victims of drunken drivers.
"It is clear to me that my life has become completely unmanageable because I am addicted to alcohol and drugs," Lohan said in a statement released by publicist Leslie Sloane Zelnik.
She said she did things she was ashamed of. "I broke the law and today I took responsibility by pleading guilty to the charges in my case."
Sorry it takes more than pleading guilty to demonstrate you've taken responsibility... like how about - not doing it again?

NYC - the city of legally protected PEEPING TOMS. Why is one NYC Councilman under such fire for wanting to protect the decent people, particularly ladies and little girls of his district from the absolute worst perverts in our society? We will talk with NYC Councilman Peter F. Vallone Jr. who is authoring the bill to criminalize these perverts predilictions. One example of how you may have been violated? Store owners are allowed to drill holes in ladies dressing rooms - and watch - as long as no camera is involved. Yet "slip and fall" attorneys are already speaking out against the proposed measure citing freedoms, and the ACLU is getting into the action as well. Perverts on the prowl and only one man wants to stop them. How does this make you feel? 800.345.WMCA.

Not sure why the Mexican Congress would have anything to say about an illegal's status in the U.S. but they gave the activist the time anyway. She sure did learn a lot while she was here - like learning how to speak "Rev.JesseJackson." Rumor has it she plans to initiate shakedown operations of border patrol officers in the days to come.
Look, people can feel sorry for a person who is facing the tough times she has. But at the end of the day it is her responsibility to raise her child (i.e. make the best decisions for his welfare) AND equally she is obligated to that abiding by the rule of law of WHATEVER country she inhabits.
And just becaus she doesn't like it, doesn't change the substance of the matter!

It's been an interesting week. My column continues to cause a stir. And people are still getting angry.
Lee Russ is one of them, but he chose to go after several of us who have pointed out just how much rage there is in the left of America.
Being mentioned in the same story as Krauthammer, Noonan, and DeLay... well... it made an otherwise passable day - enjoyable!

How sweet it is to know that due to my amazing listeners - today we helped 631 homeless children in the New York metro get food, hygiene products (soap, shampoo, toothpaste), and a backpack stuffed with school supplies.
631 children that know that they are loved, cared for, and remembered who otherwise have been forgotten and thrown to the curb by our culture.
There have been days when I have found it hard to soldier on.
Today was not one of those days.
Thank you MuscleHeads! I am humbled and grateful for your love for the children of our great city!

vs.
This fella produces 2100 kilos of methane a year. More dangerous than a car journey of 13,000 kilometers.
Bacteria in a moose's stomach create methane gas which is considered even more destructive to the environment than carbon dioxide gas.

Anytime I can wear the sneer of AmericaBlog upon me... I do so with pride.
Pam Spaulding got into the "I'm so angry I don't know what to do with myself" act tonight and believed she punched me out with cruel blows. Who also posted it at her own site. The "best LGBT blog" of year such and so.
She also lifted several quotes from columns of mine from the past year.
After rereading them I realized...
I still mean every single word.
(Homosexual behavior and Christianity do not mix. From the standpoint of theory, theology, doctrine, and practice the two are totally and completely incompatible; as are adultery, pornography, bestiality, pedophilia, pre-marital sex, incest, cross dressing, multiple partner orgies and the list goes on.)
What she doesn't bother to mention is that I am an equal opportunity critic of sex outside marriage. The scripture condones one form of sexual union: Marital fidelity. Anything outside that boundary qualifies in biblical terms as sin.
The fact that anger-hardened activist gays (as opposed to those who live life in relative harmony with those around them) are so threatened by the truth, and the light it sheds on their own soul's hardness towards God - that they will not be satisfied until every Christian voice who merely points out what scripture calls all of us to is shut down only lends credence to the sickening reality of their soul.
They have been sold a lie, and they are incapable of hearing truth without near violent reaction to it.
For those who are this angry, I strongly urge you to listen to my interaction with a homosexual named Gary from mid-town Manhattan in the first hour of my broadcast from today. (This link will expire in seven days.)
"There is a way that seems right to a man, that leads only to death."
"You shall know the TRUTH, and the TRUTH shall set you free!"
"In ALL your ways acknowledge HIM, and HE will direct your paths."

They're claims are 1.)That I distorted Sklar's actual comments, 2.) That I misappropriated them to apply them to people they don't belong to, 3.) That in speaking this way I am encouraging aggression towards gays. Do you agree? 800.345.WMCA.
