"This is a stab in the heart of New Yorkers!"
That was my message to Fox5 last night here in New York. And today its just made all that MORE painful to understand that Ahmadinejad still intends and has on his schedule to be at GROUND ZERO Monday morning.

Little Green Footballs reported late in the day Friday that President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is still on his way to GROUND ZERO Monday.
(I personally never bought the partial transcript from 60 Minutes anyway...)
We're rolling out the wagon to "greet" him.
Liberty St. and Broadway 9am - I will be there.
We need you in place no later than 9:30am. If you're coming by train - WTC stop for PATH and NY Subway.

With still the possibility very alive that Ahmadinejad may plan to show up at Ground Zero on Monday morning - PLEASE JOIN US anytime you can spare between 9:30am-11:00am . (His schedule puts him there at 10am.) Dear Kevin,
This is Nancy from Fleischmanns. I wanted to call the show today, in fact, V-Man answered and I held for a while, but I am a nurse so I had to hang up...
How come were are the only nation that has to fight with one hand tied behind our backs?
Next, I and my 82 year old mother, so far, will be there Monday. I took a vacation day. I am going to tell others about this as well.
I think YabbaDabbaDo, OOps! I mean, Ahmedinijad should be confronted with a sea of red white and blue... I hope he can't get within 20 blocks of the place!
We New Yorkers know how to make crowds! Allowing him to go there is akin to allowing Hitler to put a wreath on the tomb of the Unknown Soldier! Keep us posted. I will be listening tomorrow!

Some have asked if we could condense all the posts on what we're doing at GROUND ZERO Monday morning at 9:30am into one forwardable link so here you go: Why we decided to protest Monday morning... What we specifically plan to do and what time we plan to do it... Why we are going ahead with it - no matter what Drudge intimates... How far away they are coming from... What my listeners had to say about it, and how many of them will be there... They are coming no matter how young/old they are... I will keep updating this post - please forward it to as many people as possible. ( Just click the "E-mail It" feature at the bottom of this post, enter e-mails and hit send. WE DO NOT CAPTURE NOR KEEP THESE E-MAILS and they will not be used for anything beyond your own e-mail forward.)

This is just one of the MANY notes we've received in the past 12 hours since we formalized our rally at GROUND ZERO Monday morning at 9:30am:
I packed my bag the second I heard that scum bag was going to visit ground zero. I felt more people would have to have this same feeling as me and be willing to do something to stop him. I am going to be at ground zero at 9am ready for action...
...I will defend that site with my life if I have to. I am ex military and 40 years old, I took an oath to protect this nation from scum bags like that and he will not have my respect to walk free among NY on my watch! See you there! James Richmond Va

Ok I wrote about this possible idea Thursday morning
My listeners in New York City FLOODED my phones on the Thursday show. Within minutes of suggesting it we had RSVP's via e-mail of more than 300 that committed to coming. As the show rolled on - more and more and more called/wrote to confirm. We're not making it partisan (Hillary and Rudy BOTH condemned Ahmadinejad's intention to go).
This is simply a symbolic gesture - that one of the world's leading terrorists will NOT be allowed to visit the place of our greatest tragedy.
ESPECIALLY SINCE he wishes to honor the "Brave 19!"
They're coming from Connecticut, New Jersey, and all over the 5 boros to stand shoulder to shoulder and STOP Mahmoud Ahmadinejad from being allowed to step foot on Ground Zero!
Stand with us and form a human barrier between Mr. Ahmadinejad and Ground Zero -
THIS COMING MONDAY at 9:30am. (He has pledged to visit the site at 10am) Liberty Street and Broadway is where we will meet.
I will be there no later than 9am...

It seems strange to me that everyone is reading the partial transcript that DRUDGE has posted as somehow a concession that Ahmadinejad will not show his face at Ground Zero.
From my read on what he says and having seen his double speak in the news reports for going on three years now it seems to me his chances of still showing up at Ground Zero at 10am as his schedule presently has it - is still a rather good possibility.
Here's the only condition he puts on it:
PELLEY: Mr. President, do you intend to press your request to visit the World Trade Center site?
AHMADINEJAD: Well, it was included in my program. If we have the time and the conditions are conducive, I will try to do that.
PELLEY: But the New York Police Department and others do not appear to want you there. Do you intend to go there anyway?
AHMADINEJAD: Well, over there, local officials need to make the necessary coordinations. If they can't do that, I won't insist.
"Conducive" and "necessary coordinations" seem rather vague to me. They seem vague to a lot of people actually. Congressman Peter King appearing on Sean Hannity's radio show yesterday still showed nervous anxiety at the prospects of attempting to get the Secret Service to deny Ahmadinejad protection for his visit to the site.
And if you notice in the remainder of the DRUDGE partial transcript after those almost meaningless "conditions" Ahmadinejad begins to taunt the reporter.
PELLEY: Sir, what were you thinking? The World Trade Center site is the most sensitive place in the American heart, and you must have known that visiting there would be insulting to many, many Americans.
AHMADINEJAD: Why should it be insulting?
PELLEY: But the American people, sir, believe that your country is a terrorist nation, exporting terrorism in the world. You must have known that visiting the World Trade Center site would infuriate many Americans.
AHMADINEJAD: Well, I'm amazed. How can you speak for the whole of the American nation?
PELLEY: Well, the American nation--
AHMADINEJAD: You are representing a media and you're a reporter. The American nation is made up of 300 million people. There are different points of view over there.
And Congressman King is the ranking member on the committee that funds the Secret Service.
My read on this is that Ahmadinejad will make the attempt.
And since government is powerless to stop him, then we the people will.
One or two have written wondering if we are still on for Monday morning at GROUND ZERO: Affirmative.
It seems to me that it could be rather strategic to tell the 60 minutes reporter "conducive conditions" and then turn around on Monday morning when he believes the world has bought his shell game - only to turn around and end up forcing the city, the secret service, and the American people into an extremely unpleasant reality.
So listen up MuscleHeads, Gathering of Eagles, MichelleMalkin, RedState, Freeper, HughHewitt/TownHall readers - GAME ON!
9:30am Liberty Street and Broadway, or if coming from New Jersey by train - the World Trade PATH stop.

If the local news coverage here in New York is any indication then Ahmadinejad better reconsider his insistance to be allowed to Ground Zero - even after the NYPD and the Secret Service have nixed it.
It appears that in his arrogance and the alternative reality he lives in Ahmadinejad wish to fulfill some sort of gloating wet dream on American television this coming Monday. How perverse is it for the world's now number export of terror to be standing over the single greatest gravesite of terrorist victims is literally nauseating.
A law enforcement source says the Iranian mission to the United Nations has informed the Secret Service that the Iranian president intends to visit Ground Zero Monday at 10 a.m.
The source says regardless of the NYPD's rejection of the request for a Ground Zero tour, Iran's president and his entourage will be accompanied by a Secret Service protective detail, a detail provided to all heads of state when they visit the United States.
These terrorist leaders believe that Americans are stupid enough to let them parade anywhere and everywhere they wish. And why do they think this?
Because the left in America continues to pretend that terror is not real for the sake of political gain.
Well what if, just maybe, several thousand New Yorkers decided that at 10am we would just form a barrier that would prevent Ahmadinjad from being able to approach the sacred site?
What if - standing shoulder to shoulder 5000 New Yorkers said, "Not on my watch!"

It seems to me the first truly bit of bad news for the Thompson team is hitting home this morning. If you are a GOP candidate and Dr. James Dobson writes THIS about you:
"Isn't Thompson the candidate who is opposed to a Constitutional amendment to protect marriage, believes there should be 50 different definitions of marriage in the U.S., favors McCain-Feingold, won't talk at all about what he believes, and can't speak his way out of a paper bag on the campaign trail?" Dobson wrote.
"He has no passion, no zeal, and no apparent 'want to.' And yet he is apparently the Great Hope that burns in the breasts of many conservative Christians? Well, not for me, my brothers. Not for me!"
...well... now you've got some problems that go beyond just shuffling campaign staffers!
I predict Thompson's daily Rasmussen lead will begin to ebb lower once this story just plastered everywhere that the media will no doubt push it too!
(Many of you who read this blog daily know that I've been one of those who has been energized by Fred's entry into the race. You also know that I have nothing but the greatest respect for Dr. Dobson. I will be weighing in on this development in a bit with some further perspective...stay tuned...)

I am thrilled when we can get our news unfiltered - as opposed to carefully combed through by the likes of Dan Rather.
Matt Sanchez has been embedded with our Marines for the last five months. Today he reported to my show from Anbar Province. He's also been to Ramadi and other regions of the Sunni Triangle. Listen to his report - then decide for yourself if the data from the field matches what Gen. Petraeus told us.
Suspension of belief?
