At about 10:45pm EST Sally Field after making a rather innocuous statement about mothers being home waiting for the children to return home from war lost her lines on what she had planned on saying looked to the national audience as though she let loose with either a spat of profanity or something blatantly anti-war and thus endured the wrath of the dump-button and the mandatory delay getting back to the live feed. As of 10:55pm no one has yet posted what she said... if you DO know hit me up in the comment section here...
Ok here's evidently what was said:
"If mothers ruled the world, there wouldn't be any god -" Emmy winner Sally Field said before the Emmycast cut her off her sound and pointed the camera away from the stage so viewers would be distracted. Cut off were the words "god-damned wars in the first place."
It was just one of several ignorant statements made by winners for the evening. Topping it off with the final winner of the night implying that America is presently being run by gangsters. Brilliant... real genius there, not surprising from someone who is honored as being the "best" in his industry for producing a show that had more "f-bombs" than any show in the history of television.
Grandpa used to say it all the time, "Profanity is a stupid man's excuse for lack of vocabulary!"
Al Gore winning an emmy - even in the category that he did - was still a raging joke. He and Joel Wyatt were honored for brining interactive internet accessibility to the medium of television for something they've been running called "Current TV." Gore's big claim as the recipient of the award - the first of its kind - was that "Current" has been able to give people the opportunity to "finally have a voice in the dialogue, democracy, yaddih, yaddiah" about the news we all watch and care about every day.
See even though he invented the internets - AlGore still hasn't discovered blogging. Evidently those thousands of hyperlinks hidden within millions of text characters don't equate to - "the people" becoming part of the dialogue.
But honestly - "Current TV" has had more of an impact in the visual medium on the internets than say a little site called "YouTube"? Honestly?
It's too bad that Gore has been so embraced by Hollywood - but we can draw some satisfaction that they share a love for ignorance... and they love to share it with each other.
And the sneer fest in Hollywood tonight said it all...

According to Sally Field's thinking...
Mothers would not have gone to war to end slavery. Glad to know that Sally would be ok with one human being thinking it their priviledge to own another one...
Mothers would not have gone to war to save the Jews from Holocaust or the Nazi expansion across Europe/World...
Mothers would not have gone to war and attempted to help the persecuted WOMEN of Afghanistan...
And Mothers evidently would most certainly have not gone to war to protect future generations of her own citizens...
And in addition to all of this craziness, what about mothers who have killed, injured, mamed, and molested children?
What about mothers (exception to the rule of course) who get so caught up in their own pursuit of materialism that they believe that giving their children nannies is just as good as giving their own time and energy to their children?
What about mothers who have crucified decent fathers in courtrooms, lied to judges, juries, and their own children - just to squeeze a tad more alimony or child support money from a man THEY walked out on, cheated on, and eventually left?
What about those mothers Sally?
It seems to me the world is not divided up between mothers and fathers, or even men and women - but moral people, and immoral.
Discernment and wisdom tells us to learn the differences between them and to mimic the good.
I've had a fondness for Sally Field going back to her Gidget days - but the prattling twitish thinking she had on display last night left me very much reaching for something to throw at her...
Where have all the "smart" people gone?

It wasn't pretty, but for the first time since 1999 the Dallas Cowboys are 2-0. They've also scored 82pts this year so far...

Respect the FRED! "The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows that Fred Thompson is the top choice for 27% of Likely Republican Primary Voters. In the race for the Republican Presidential Nomination. Rudy Giuliani is the favorite for just 19%. John McCain is preferred by 13% and Mitt Romney attracts support from 10%. Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee remains atop the second tier at 5% (see recent daily numbers). Thompson’s bounce since announcing his candidacy has shown up in his favorability ratings, especially among Republican voters. New survey data released today also shows that Republican voters see Thompson as the most politically conservative candidate followed by Romney. Most see McCain and Giuliani as politically moderate or liberal."

2pm: My take on the very latest... - Rudy pushes fairness with the NYTIMES! - He's Baaaaaccccckkkkkkkk! - Yikes! SO IS Sheeeeeeeee!
2:20pm: Were they listening to the same speech YOU were? Last night the President spoke to the nation. We have highlights, actual soundbytes from his actual plan in Iraq. Sure you can disagree WITH the plan - but these jokers are insisting he didn't present one. What - they don't understand English now? (And come one resist the urge to question what the President speaks as actual English...resist, resist!) 800.345.WMCA.
3pm: My take on the latest... - Democrats are promising to beat up 9/11 Widower! - U.S. House is ready to force churches to hire homosexuals. - Judge acquits child rapist, secs after jury finds him guilty!
3:20pm Pretty Prisoners in Pink. An inmate in one South Carolina prison is filing a lawsuit against the prison saying that being forced to wear a "Pink" jumpsuit makes him more likely a target of sexual abuse within the prison. Pink is the color the prison reserves for those convicted of sex crimes. So should a prison alter its method of punishment because of the slightest possibility of sexual crimes being targeted for that individual?800.345.WMCA.
3:55pm: The McCULLOUGH PUNCH Was 9/11 merely a "failure of human understanding?" One idiot Governor thinks so!

Mitt's disingenuous, "I'm not responsible for the FredSpoofSite..." tap dance was silly. Which was sad because I thought he acted honorably in the Senator Craig scenario.
But Rudy has also enjoyed some more silly moments lately... leaving the impression that he's more than ok with illegal immigration...
A misdemeanor IS a crime. It may not be a felony, but it is a crime. It is a violation of law and sovereignty. And whatever the Mayor MEANT, what he chose to SAY and how the 1000's of news outlets wrote the headlines: "Rudy says Illegal Immigration shouldn't be a crime," could not have been a worse slogan to be branding himself with. It just reminds everyone that the Mayor is a huge fan of the entire Sanctuary City policies that gave us three dead Newark kids who were, by all accounts, the shining stars of their communities.
FRED went on offense this week and tackled Hillary, he stayed clear of saying anything nasty about an opponent in GOP circles and in doing so stayed "above the frey." And according to Rasmussen it is a strategy that is WORKING!
Since Labor Day look at the movement:

Still don't know why George Will and Ryan Sager are so openly hostile to Big Fred, but I think eventually they may see more merit in his candidacy than they presently do...

Harry Reid is pledging to pummel the potential nomination of Solicitor General Ted Olson should the President decide to nominate him for Attorney General.
Yes... Heaven forbid we allow someone whose wife was murdered by the terrorists of 9/11 actually prosecute the prosecution of the animals in the War On Terror in the American courts.
Reid's childishness is silly. Make a pre-emptive statement about not confirming him before you've even let his credentials be heard? What a pompous windbag!
People like Harry Reid are the reason so many people HATE politicians. No logic, no justification, no explanation - just pure prejudice and moronic stupidity.
Well here's what President Bush should do in retaliation to Reid: NOMINATE RICK SANTORUM!
(The Senate has never denied a colleague for nomination confirmation.)
That way President FRED can put Ted Olson on the United States Supreme Court!

After stellar rounds of testimony on "the Hill" where he exemplified the very best about what our military leadership should be - more Americans support the General Petraeus blueprint for Iraq than oppose it.
This is considerably impressive given the fact that United States Senators most likely fully believed they would spin the public opinion against the general in their self-filibustered seven minute appearances before the cameras on Tuesday.
Looks like all that democratic self-congratulation has a striking resemblance to verbal flatulation, at least in the minds of We The People.
