And the ship began to sink. - Why are more leaving, rather than coming to NYC? 2:20pm: Senators Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama dressed down General Petraeus. They question his integrity, and in these soundbytes they call him a liar. Neither chose to renounce the MoveOn.org ad that called the General who had been uanonimously confirmed by Democrats and Republicans General "Betray Us." NOW it turns out the New York Times helped subsidize the ad to begin with. Should this hurt the two Senators running for President? Should the New York Times ever again be considered an American newspaper? And will any of this impact your own view of the upcoming candidates for President? 800.345.WMCA. P.S. I know Allah was asking for it. And the Fred-Heads complied... but how did they miss the opportunity to BRAND it even more closely to "FRED?"
Anyway... here you go: The Hunt for Fred's November

So she has a beer belly, she's going out all around town without undies on, she's about to get her kids taken away with society's blessing by K-Fed, and now this?
"If I meet these whores I will have the honor – I repeat, I will have the honor – to be the first one to cut the heads off Madonna and Britney Spears if they will keep spreading their satanic culture against Islam," said Muhammad Abdel-Al.
NOTE to Rosie O'Donnell: Neither myself nor any other "radical Christians" have ever called for such a thing. And if you STILL can't tell the difference... well I'm wasting my time trying to explain...

Was I the only one who was more than mildly disappointed with Romney's sad little game he's attempted to play against Fred's surging poll numbers?
If this kind of chicanery keeps up he's going to lose any possibility he might have had to be a Veep! How much money has Romney spent - and STILL can barely crack double digits?
Was anyone else not all that surprised that Fred NOW LEADS the field?
And not just the raw numbers but he strips Giuliani by 12% now with conservative primary voters - the TYPE of GOPers that actually DO VOTE in the primary.
Plus Giuliani killed himself with the technically true but completely wrong intent statement this weekend that illegal immigration is not a federal crime. Talk about a tin-ear to his base... Also now hurting Giuliani - two thirds of Republicans see him as a moderate or liberal. This reality will really begin to tank him in the Bible belt...
All of the above is reason enough for me to be more than thrilled that instead of getting into the "elbow my way into the front of the crowd" GOP routine that the rest seem obsessed with - Fred came out firing today at the real enemy. The other side!
Hillary's fundraiser wink winks is a scandal worth exploiting harshly and aggressively and Fred hit the perfect reminder by reminding us of her husband's teams' issues when it came to Asian businessmen/crooks and funds that they supplied to campaigns.
How's that for "no controlling authority?"

Boy if this doesn't look like trouble...
A HUGE thanks to the MuscleHeads that showed up to help us pass out the "The REAL Truth Behind 9/11" pamphlets at Ground Zero this evening. Between Alarming News Karol's 5-6 blog friends, 4-5 of my listeners and MKH and camera guy we had a blast and unloaded 1000 pamphlets right at the Ground Zero Port Authority train line.
I think MKH got lots of great interaction between normal people and Truthers who were more than mildly irritated that we showed up. Sure to show up this weekend on HamNation.
Never one to be shy as soon as Karol had broken open the box I began shouting at the top of my lungs - two feet away from the Truther section, "Get the shocking real TRUTH behind 9/11, it WAS the hi-jackers that crashed our planes into our buildings, and fire really does weaken steel."
Three of the Truthers attempted to engage us endlessly in discussion so as to prevent our unloading the pamphlets - and in part to keep me occupied and prevent my loud-speaker effect from drowning out the Truther dudes who probably had been there the better part of the entire day. Even though there were only about 10 of us and for the most part it was about 7 of us passing the fliers out, we had a blast.
Some of the more irate Truthers came over about the time I ran out of fliers and began to attempt to dress me down on the following "proofs" of trutherism...
1. Where's the proof that the hi-jackers were on board the planes... (Hey I see your eyes rolling but I'm just telling you the ones they laid on me...) 2. If steel only liquifies at 2800 degrees and airplane fuel could only produce and inferno of 2000 degrees - then the buildings had to be imploded from within. (Of course as MKH pointed out today: "Steel weakens at as low as 400 degrees. At 980, it’s at only 10 percent strength, according to industry experts. As the core steel columns weakened, load-bearing was transferred to the building’s shell. As the fires continued to burn, multiple floors weakened, sagged, and pulled on the outside structure causing total collapse." 3. Where's the proof that United 93 crashed in Shanksville? 4. Why didn't the feds scramble jets before the flight hit the Pentagon given that it hit roughly 50 minutes after the second jet hits the Twin Towers.
What was really far more fun for me than enduring these inane theories that have long since been credibly debunked by Popular Mechanics, was to turn the tables on the Truthers and force them to answer questions.
Nearly all of which the refused.
Simple things like: If it wasn't the actual planes... where did we hide 4 Boeing Jets and all the passengers?
If the terrorists weren't on the planes, how did their voices end up on the 911 calls from United 93 as well as the black box/com systems?
If they believed that the Pentagon and the Shanksville flights WERE Government planned - would the Truther at least cede the Twin Tower flights as terror attacks - since we have gads of actual footage of the planes going into them?
Most disturbing of all, according to Zogby (hts to MKH and HotAir), 42% of Democrats now believe at least SOME of the Truther theories concerning 911.
My day was a long one today. It started by me finishing up the final touches on the NEVER FORGET video at 3am. I did radio in Columbus on the commemoration of 911. Did my normal broadcast AND still made it to Ground Zero in time for the 5pm Anti-Truther TRUTHER protest. Then reported live for Frank Pastore in Los Angeles on KKLA concerning 911, and the Truthers.
Sorry we didn't blog more today, but if you missed the broadcast today, I would really recommend not just listening to it - but downloading the entire podCAST and keeping it. Classic footage of President Bush, Dr. Billy Graham, and many special moments with New Yorkers reflecting on 911.

Uh... if they ever let him actually speak...
So far its just a bunch of mumbo jumbo... All except for Duncan Hunter that is...
Ah finally - one hour later...
Killed and captured over 110 Al Qaeda leadership...
Broken up 55 AQ cells...
29,800 vetted Iraqi police...
140 Iraqi Battallions in the fight, and ALL of them have been involved in the security operations...
MANY battallions operate without coalition's assistance...
in 2007 Iraq will spend MORE in security forces than it will receive in assistance...
Summary: Iraq is improving. Taking more responsibility for their own security. As a result we will be in position to begin to reduce forces in the weeks ahead. From leading, to partnering, to overwatch...
Recommends a draw down, and later this month - a Marine, and brigade combat team, along with four others will begin to withdraw. Pre-Surge levels by July 2008.
No speculation on mission reductions should occur until March of 2008.
Iraq's problems come with no easy answers or solutions. And a premature draw down would have devastating consequences. Rapid withdrawal will allow Al Qaeda to gain lost ground.
The soldiers with whom he is honored to serve, impressively to continue to volunteer and stay in service, having acheived 130% re-enlistment goals!!!

And just what WILL you say to your kids when they are old enough to understand that their mommy would rather party, display her wares, and embarrass them rather than read 'em a book, tuck 'em in at night, kiss their owies, and worst yet - force them through life without a father?

Tomorrow night steps from where it all happened please join us to help drown out the madness. We will be passing out pamphlets that actually tell the truth about 9/11 - that Islamic terrorists took four airplanes hostage and killed thousands of Americans.
Our friend Karol is organizing the whole thing. Mary Katharine Ham is coming to capture the whole thing on video for a future HamNation. Let's turn out the numbers so that they are so overwhelming the "truthers" give up and go home!
Today Karol and MKH will both join me on the broadcast to give more details, but I would love to see 100-500 MuscleHeads turnout in full force.
I also want to make this noteworthy aside: We will NOT be engaged in the Geraldo Rivera like tactics used to "dispute" the Truthers from this weekend. We have the facts on our side, and it is tasteless, and classless, to lower ourselves to Geraldo's level. We can stand toe to toe, face to face, and speak truth to the truthless... and that's what we SHOULD do!

So after indulging the Lovely Bride's request to stare in the direction of the television and watching Roger Fedderer wiggle his jiggle all over the US Open final, I finally get to flip over to see my Cowboys take on the Giants.
NBC's Football Night in America was on...
And I recognized the grotesque sound emanating from the corner of my family room... it was the sound, the arrogant pompous know it all sound of one of the world's most illiterate nightly television talk-show hosts - Keith Olbermann.
I did a double take thinking that I was on MSNBC, or having a bad dream, etc...
No bad dream it was Olby sitting there with his arrogant waft of grey hair reflecting poorly off my HDTV screen.
Actually I need to utter a confession here... there was a time when I could tolerate Olby. Usually after a gallon or so of Guiness and as long as he was hosting the 3am repeat of SportsCenter.
Pretty much any other scenario where I am punished so badly that I am forced to hear his malevolent drone is utterly intolerable.
I also was reminded that Verizon FiOS does not carry MSNBC or Olbermann's insidious nightly excuse for a television show. Which might explain why more often than not when you compare the ratings of my radio show which airs in New York vs. Olbermann's nightly viewership on a "national" cable network - you see who has the larger audience...
But aside from my personal reprehension against the man who gave new definition to the "worst person in the world" a thought crossed my mind.
Why would NBC go out of its way to drag up this has been of a sports anchor, who has fewer viewers than I do listeners, and who has said perhaps the greatest single collection of most insane statements ever assembled?
It was merely a couple of years ago when Rush Limbaugh - my talk radio colleague - who has perhaps the largest single media audience of anyone in America - was summarily dismissed from Sunday Night football for a very accurate statement about the reality of Donovan McNabb's rather apparent "overratedness."
Rush who knows far more about both broadcasting AND football than the grating and irritating Olby, can't say something TRUE about one player. BUT Olby can lie on nearly a nightly basis about almost everything in life - and he gets the football gig.
And to add insult to injury - Bob Costas (my former favorite midget of all time) says to Olby, "used to love listening to you in my home, now I love listening to you sitting next to me."
Oh for the love of all that's holy...
