Man it's scary but when I'm on, I'm dead on... From yet ONE MORE article on the "religious outreach" efforts of Barack Hussein Obama:

Traditionally, Democratic religious outreach has meant mobilizing support in black churches and bastions of liberal mainline Protestantism. Obama has done those things, but he's also taken part in a summit on AIDS hosted by evangelical mega-pastor Rick Warren and appeared at Southern Baptist churches in South Carolina.

At an evangelical church in Greenville, S.C., Obama said he seeks to be an "instrument of God" and expressed confidence "we can create a kingdom right here on Earth."

On November 19, 2006 I penned this:

Barack Obama is likely to run for president in 2008 and speaking from the pulpit of one of America's most well known evangelical churches is likely to be footage that could be used over and over in trying to dissuade Christians from thinking about moral issues that real Christians truly feel concern for...

...There is definitely something for Barack Obama to gain by appearing in Rick Warren's pulpit - the implied endorsement and blessing for the 2008 presidential race. There is definitely something for Rick Warren to gain in promoting Barack Obama and giving him time behind the altar of God's word - power and access to a future heavyweight contender for the highest office in the land.

"But you stupid voters - I'm the GOVERNOR!"

The new polling numbers are out across the Empire State and our Governor Spitzer seems to be LOSING ground as to whether he can convince them that creating fake IDs for illegal aliens in New York will really make the state safer. On the streets today in the New York Post:

October 16, 2007 -- The latest numbers are out on public support for Gov. Spitzer's executive order allowing illegal aliens to ob tain New York state drivers' licenses.

Read 'em and weep, Eliot.

In a Siena College poll released yesterday, 72 percent of New Yorkers oppose the gov's license plan - while only 22 percent support it.

Opposition to Spitzer's plan runs across the board: Even 52 percent of his fellow Democrats think he's wrong.

To underscore that fact, Assembly Minority Leader James Tedisco yesterday released a list of 34 Democrats among 200 public officials opposed to the plan - including a former mayor of New York, a county executive, two members of Congress, seven members of the state Legislature and 17 county legislators.

In other words, it's hardly just the "rabid right" that opposes this lunacy, as Spitzer so intemperately claimed last week.

Indeed, a full 64 percent of those polled by Siena agree that the Spitzer proposal would create a national-security risk.

And by a 66-25 percent margin, New Yorkers aren't buying the governor's rationale for the plan: that it would lower insurance rates by reducing the number of unlicensed drivers.

Any way you look at it, those numbers add up to a political disaster for Eliot Spitzer.

The same poll shows his personal approval rating - which stood at an astounding 75 percent when he took office last January - has now dipped sharply, to 54 percent.

And what do New Yorkers think of Spitzer's actual job performance?

For the first time, a clear majority - 55 percent - rated it as poor or just fair. At the start of the year, less than one in five felt that way.

I'm twice as picked on as anyone else. My clothes, my hair, my cackle...
(click the pic to view "The View")

But the should issue even entertain what gender the person is? I mean how lame is it to be running for the position of "Most Powerful Human on Earth" and be complaining about how tough it is? Does that promote the true equality of women? It's not exactly like you're running for night shift manager at McDonalds!

And in her anecdotal story about the 95 year old Grandma born before women could vote... does it matter now? Is that really the reason and basis to place a vote for someone?

If that kind of stupid rationale is used to determine this election we are in deep, deep, trouble as a nation.

Former Mexican President Vicente Fox continues his "Make America Weak" tour this time in Houston spouting off about how our desire to be secure is equivalent to racism.

"You get the xenophobes trying to influence the debate and take it to their side," he said in English during a meeting with the Houston Chronicle's editorial board. "Fear, very unfortunately, is guiding the debate and the decision-making process on immigration.

"Immigrants are not terrorists, but still many people are dealing with the issue through fear."

True enough sir. Legal immigrants are NOT terrorists... but Illegal aliens are always by definition criminals, and some of them turn out to be rather dangerous ones.

Allahpundit records... you decide!

This was an interesting appearance with Cavuto given the fact that word from the campaign trail came down today saying that following the debate last week Fred has been AWOL.

Fred is still an attractive candidate to me - if he is willing to fight for it. Gary Bauer came out this week and attempted to counter the Dobson drag effect... C'mon Fred - do you wanna fight for it?

On the broadcast we've talked with Brownback, Tancredo, Hunter (twice), Romney (twice - most recently today - listen here to the free podcast), and tomorrow we talk to Huckabee.

Listen ON DEMAND anytime!

2pm:
It irritates me to no end that people like Hillary Clinton claim to be so worried about the plight of women and children in the United States, yet seek to ignore one of the most important issues facing them. She believes that she will win the nomination because she will run away with the votes of women. But what will she do about the fact that Al Qaeda is operating in Northern New Jersey - just across the Hudson from New York City? And why is it that Al Qaeda would make places like Newark and Jersey City their hubs of operation? Do you think the "Sanctuary City" policies of these municipalities has anything to do with it? Just thinking/wondering out loud here... 800.345.WMCA.

2:30pm:
Joel Osteen on 60 Minutes last night... My response. What is the Gospel according to Osteen? Do people really "know all the ways they've gone wrong?" Is a pastor allowed to say, "its not my gift" to avoid teaching scripture? And what was with the crying? 800.345.WMCA.

3pm:
Is he the most socially conservative candidate in the GOP nomination for President? GOP Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney sits down to talk all things campaign. AND HE RESPONDS PUBLICLY to John McCain's weekend claims that he does not represent the "Republican wing of the Republican Party?"

3:20pm
Imagine the poor chaps you know who have been very unlucky in love. The guys who for a variety of reasons - have no place to go for holidays. Well their lives are being shortened and they are at higher risk of earlier death because they lack intimacy. Science thinks it has the answer. Robot marriage... Femme Fatales who won't nag, but just live their plastic lives out in service to you... And what about all those young men in China - where increasingly there are no women? 800.345.WMCA.

According to FoxNews Al Qaeda is operating in Northern New Jersey - just outside New York City:

"There are many people who are like-minded who want to commit acts of terrorism and have just not taken that extra step," Kevin Cruise, the director of the bureau's 100-member task force in Newark, N.J., told the Record, calling the individuals "facilitators."

Every major terrorist organization in the world, except the Taliban, has contacts in northern New Jersey, the paper reports.

Cruise declined to describe any case in detail; however, efforts to disrupt Usama bin Laden's network range from deportation to telling the suspects they are being watched.

Or maybe not.

It sounds as though the writer of this piece from the Dallas Morning News really, truly WANTS the younger generation of evangelicals to be a departure from the older crowd which seem to value the lives of unborn children, protecting the institution of marriage, etc.

Problem is the article makes a poor case for even demonstrating its thesis.

The writer cites that the "Under 30's" evangelicals are MORE pro-life than the older generations, they want to even use the law to encourage marriage for the sake of children, they want the tax codes to reflect less burden for people who work, etc...

The main difference that the Pew Study made that the article picks up on is the concern the younger evangelicals have about "climate change."

Color me skeptical that Young Evangelicals are organizing, marching, and rallying votes to support "Inconvenient (Non)Truths." (Speaking of which the Brits have found 9 significant documented falsehoods in the Gore film that earned him the Nobel Peace Prize. And you know they had to award him the "Peace" prize as opposed to the prize for "Science.")

The writer cites an opening for Democrats with this group. Which is fine if he wishes to believe it - but because some people think that Alice in Wonderland is an historical biography - doesn't make it one!

"Hi, I'm Kim, marry me?"

When I first saw the headline to this story all I could picture was Austin Powers and his exploding headed femmes. Turns out this scientist is quasi-serious, and predicts that marriage and copulation will begin within the next five years.

David Levy is the man doing the research and recently completed his Ph.D in "human/robot" relationships covering many of the areas of marriage.

"My forecast is that around 2050, the state of Massachusetts will be the first jurisdiction to legalize marriages with robots."

And of course it is a continuation away from traditional, dare I say even biblical concepts of relationships, sexuality, and marriage that seems to be pushing the envelope on this.

As software becomes more advanced and the relationship between humans and robots becomes more personal, marriage could result. "One hundred years ago, interracial marriage and same-sex marriages were illegal in the United States. Interracial marriage has been legal now for 50 years, and same-sex marriage is legal in some parts of the states," Levy said. "There has been this trend in marriage where each partner gets to make their own choice of who they want to be with."

"The question is not if this will happen, but when," Levy said. "I am convinced the answer is much earlier than you think."

Then there is perhaps the dumbest justification those pushing this idea could possibly come up with.

The possibility of sex with robots could prove a mixed bag for humanity. For instance, robot sex could provide an outlet for criminal sexual urges. "If you have pedophiles and you let them use a robotic child, will that reduce the incidence of them abusing real children, or will it increase it?" Arkin asked. "I don't think anyone has the answers for that yet — that's where future research needs to be done."

Keeping a robot for sex could reduce human prostitution and the problems that come with it. However, "in a marriage or other relationship, one partner could be jealous or consider it infidelity if the other used a robot," Levy said. "But who knows, maybe some other relationships could welcome a robot. Instead of a woman saying, 'Darling, not tonight, I have a headache,' you could get 'Darling, I have a headache, why not use your robot?' "

One more step away from God's design, one more push to attempt to replace Him in what he intends for us in the best of what life offers.

And to think they give Ph.D's for this stuff now...

I've written in the past of Mitt's branding and message. It may be some of the best ever seen in the race for president - especially this far from the general election.

His new ad is no exception:
