9:56pm - Huckabee "Whether we decide to go to Mars is not a decision I feel like I need to make, but I would expand space exploration. 9:55pm - Romney "Time for us to recognize that we MUST take a new path - not with Hillary off the left - but with Ronald Reagan."

9:53pm - Fred "One of the things I would do for Social Security's future generations is to protect them from MY generation. Not merely a fiscal issue but a moral issue."

9:52pm - Huckabee "I need the support of everyone - including the Log Cabin Republicans, but we can disagree on some policy - would I welcome their support, but would not change my position... sticks with convictions, can explain them..."

9:51pm - McCain "I speak to the military leaders all the time. Almost unanimously they say that the present policy is working at that this policy ought to be continued because it works."

9:50pm - The Gay General speech - complete wierdness...

9:48pm - Hunter "Homosexual behavior would be bad for unit cohesion." Huckabee "what Hunter said", Romney "this is not the time to make that change, that policy doesn't make any sense to me".

9:27pm - Romney "I do not believe it is wise to describe what techniques we would use for interrogation - and keep the thugs in Gitmo", McCain "I'm shocked that you could not believe that waterboarding is not torture, and if we're going to get the high ground. How in the world anyone thinks that that kind of treatment could be carried out by Americans is beyond me." McCain "Life is not 24 and Jack Bauer..."

9:24pm - Rudy, "Stay on offense against Islamic terrorism...not one democrat addressed the issue of islamic terrorism", McCain "The most important thing is to win in Iraq, we're gonna fight back the democrats efforts to set a date for surrender", Hunter "When the world was in trouble - it was America that came and helped you. Rudy, "Not in every respect, read it frequently, read it in the big crisis in my life", Huckabee "Do I need to help you out Mayor", Romney "I believe the Bible is the Word of God, a guide for my life, I believe in the Bible", Huckabee "I believe the Bible is the word of God to man himself. But the Bible has some messages that are not left up to interpretation, and until we get the real simple things right, we don't need to argue about the things that are more complex". BECAUSE THE BIBLE IS THE REVELATION OF AN INFINITE GOD AND NO HUMAN CAN FULLY UNDERSTAND HIM, AND IF THEY CAN - THEIR GOD IS TOO SMALL!

9:15pm - Tancredo, "I pander to Jesus in the shadow of Huck!"

9:13pm - Huckabee, "Death Penalty, what would Jesus do... toughest thing I've ever had to do. I read every page of every case of every decision I was asked to decide. I believe there is a place for the death penalty - some crimes are SO heinous. Some crimes are beyond any other capacity for us to fix. 'Jesus was too smart to ever run for public office.'"

9:11pm - Rudy, "Ban on all abortions, Would not sign". Romney, "Would welcome a circumstance to ban all abortion, and I would be delighted to sign that bill".

9:10pm - Fred, "Abortion becoming illegal should be our number one focus, and that means new justices on the bench of the Supreme Court. Most states have laws that prevent abortion after viability - that same pattern should be followed to punish doctors..."

8:58pm - Rudy, "We have to be very aggressive about enforcing the gun laws that already exist. We reduced shooting 74%. We went from being one of the most dangerous cities to one of the safest. Government CAN impose reasonable regulations.(BOOOOOOOOOS) New York can have stricter rules than Texas, and the Supreme Court will decide this in the next six months. I will live by that. I'm not going to interfere with that."

8:57pm - Hunter, "You should never throw a gun, you gotta be safe with guns Jay. But the right to bear arms is important to national, home, and personal security!"

8:30pm - Romney, "The question is are we going to put illegal kids ahead of kids who are here legally...

8:29pm - Huckabee, "We're a better country than to punish children for what their parents did..."

8:28pm - Romney, "Mike just said that he gave scholarships for illegal aliens. But its not your money, its the tax-payers money! Illegals should not get tax-payer breaks."

8:27pm - Huckabee, "We never passed a bill that gave special priviledges of illegal aliens the chance to get a discount in tuition. And it didn't pass... This bill would've said that we would not punish a child for a crime committed by your parent! Bring people from illegal status to legal. And take people from tax-takers to tax-payers! Veterans Bill of Rights!"

8:25pm - Hunter, "I built the border fence in San Diego and it DOES work. Double border fence with the road in between, and as a result the crime rate in San Diego went down 53%. I wrote the law that mandates 854 miles of fence, and the government has not built an inch of that fence!"

8:24pm - Tancredo, "I'm not going to do anything to push MASSIVE immigration legal or illegal... THERE ARE NO JOBS that an American won't do."

8:22pm - Tancredo, "It's wonderful to hear them out Tancredo, Tancredo..."

We've got to strengthen the border and we've got to eliminate Sanctuary cities... Fred goes after Romney AND Rudy early... not a bad thing... "Rudy DID have a sanctuary city, the Mayor went to court to overturn it."

8:15pm - Mitt to Rudy, "Are you going to check papers of those who look a little different!"

8:10pm - Rudy Giuliani, "New York was NOT a sanctuary city..."

Listen "LIVE" - 2-4p EST
Listen ON DEMAND anytime!

2pm:
We are saved by faith alone, but we should NOT vote by faith alone. Huck has surged into first place in Iowa saying he's willing to talk faith, and publicly stating that he thinks Romney should be forced to as well. Romney and Huck both say their faith defines them. I like both of them much, but I like more of Romney's policies than I do Huck's - and they are dead center square even on the social issues that I care MOST about. Christian's will chide me for not getting on the Huck-Wagon, but faith alone is not enough for me. 800.345.WMCA.

3pm:
We sure aren't very effective at exporting the good things about America! The Japanese culture has gotten everything about western life - except Jesus. They even do marriage better than we do. Only 2.08 people out of every 1000 get divorced. And that's a HUGE increase of 60% since 1985. Seeing their wives as their mothers is the key. 800.345.WMCA.

3:20pm
Not all cross dressing is a concern, but when they start teaching classes on how to do it - NOW we've got a problem. A public school's "gender-bender" cross-dressing event, where boys were supposed to dress as girls and girls as boys, has prompted at least dozens, perhaps hundreds, of students to flee the tax-supported institutions in Iowa. That apparently includes cross-dressing, an event which has found sponsorship in other arenas from the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network, which has promoted a school lesson plan for teaching boys and girls to cross-dress. Hey we all knew the kooky guy who wore the dress with the thick beard just for kicks, halloween, or spirit week - even the Washington Hogs are legendary and they're not girly men. But when GLSN clubs start teaching the boys how to fasten the bra, we've got issues. 800.345.WMCA.

"That's MISTER frontrunner to you..."

I know that other polls had him up earlier than this one. But Rasmussen is the poll to watch - most accurate, best methods - and now he confirms it:

HUCK 28%, Romney 25%... Rudy 12%, Fred 11%...

Compared to our prior survey, the trend is unmistakable-Huckabee has gone up and just about everybody else has gone down. Huckabee's 28% support represents a twelve point increase from a Rasmussen Reports poll conducted earlier in the month. Romney is down four points while Giuliani and Thompson are each down three points from the previous survey. John McCain is down two points and earns just 4% support. Ron Paul picked up a point and is now at the 5% level.

Forty-eight percent of Evangelical Christians support Hucakbee. That's more than all the other candidates combined. Romney attracts 16% of the Evangelical vote.

Darn those evil evangelicals...

"Staged fainting spell? TMZ says so..."

It does not surprise me one way or the other, people will go to rather surprising lengths to gain sympathy votes. Maybe Mayor Giuliani could try the same thing tonight in the YouTube debate?

I have never watched an episode of any dance show, and have no plans to any time into the future. You can see the original fainting footage here.

However... Osmond's people need to get their stories straight. Did she faint because she "didn't breathe during her samba?" Or was it because the "fires were going on and polluting the air - which has caused her to faint before..."

I'm sure Donnie will be out with an apology soon enough...

"If you asked me to..."

Oh no she di'in't!

Yeah... she did...

Patti Labelle played the race card simply because she got outsung by Celine.

Labelle was suffering in Monte Carlo yesterday when she related to the press that the only reason Celine's version of "If You Asked Me To" made it all the way to number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart, while hers only made it to number 79 three years previous - was because she was a cracker...

"Why do I think Celine had the sales and I didn't? Because she's a white girl... You want me to be honest? That's why," Labelle told the MonacoRevue.

"People pay more respect to white artists who sing well before they do black women," she continued. "I've been singing for 45 years and that's an obstacle that I'm still ... I'm getting over it because I'm fabulous. You know, so you can't beat me up. You can't make me feel less than I am because whenever I get the microphone I'm gonna show you who I am. But the industry is very racist."

NOTE TO PATTI: A little dose of reality... Could it just be that Celine sang circles around you on the actual recordings? Let's test the theory - CLICK HERE to listen to both versions. Then fill in the blank.

"_________________" is the reason that Celine's version got to number 4 on the Hot 100.

UPDATE: Welcome to all the "Butterflies" who are flying by. Look argue all you want about the industry being rigged. Motown was developed by entrepeneurs specifically to counter what were at the time the types of prejudices Patti was referring to 20 years previous to her showdown over the single with Celine.

At the time that Celine's version of the song emerged - Celine was but a mere babe in the recording industry, barely spoke english and had no "industry heft" to toss around. Merely three years prior - LaBelle had more than just some. She was a catalyst and icon to the R&B, Pop, and Gospel communities across the world - and FAR MORE well known to the masses than Dion at that given time.

With her millions of dollars, legions of fans, and already firmly established industry presence - the only comparison between the two at the time - was that LaBelle was at the top of her game and Celine was merely beginning. (Not one gold record to her name at the point in time.)

IT IS LUDICROUS for LaBelle to argue that in the late 80's or early 90's that some upstart had more radio, marketing, branding cache. And if that was true - SHE should have fired her PR operation and found competent people.

Overlooked in all the "Kevin's just a racist, closeted Celine lover" stupidity is the fact that the arrangements - from a purely musical prespective are overwhelmingly similar. The voicings of the instruments on Celine's version have much more presence and pop to them. And most overwhelming is the clear command Celine's voice has of even the opening notes - much less the soaring bridge and final choruses down the stretch.

LaBelle - is and always has been a LEGEND. She will go down in the music hall of fame for doing what few could - sustain a legendary career over FIVE decades. But the reason her version of this song only made it to 79 on the Hot 100, and Celine's made it to 4 HAS NOTHING AT ALL TO DO with Celine being white.

It had to do with the product - and LaBelle's, on this individual song, at this one isolated place and time - was the inferior.

Be a true lady, admit that the other one - outsang you. Don't be some AlJesse wannabe and blame it on mysterious white people conspiracy theories. Deal with facts. Open your ears - and if you really think you could have done it better - then get back in the studio erase the original tracks and kick it...

And I say this as a former Radio Music programmer using my professional judgement of what would and would not have made a quality single.

Pro-musicians know that thick skin is a requirement in the industry. Taking criticism and making the most of it is the key to success... not making excuses.

Listen "LIVE" - 2-4p EST
Listen ON DEMAND anytime!

2pm:
When a senior pastor/priest strays into sexual immorality, regardless of their repentence - their card is punched - no more shepherding. Unfortunately that doesn't seem to be the trend. Instead it seems the thing to do is to bed someone, leave the church you're at, and begin a new church. The former pastor at a Mesa Catholic church who faces seven misdemeanor charges of sexual misconduct has started a new worship center and conducted his first services. More than 500 worshippers gathered to hear Dale Fushek conduct a service at a Mesa hotel Thursday. Known as "Monsignor Dale" during his 20 years at St. Timothy's, Fushek co-founded the national Life Teen program and served as vicar general of the Catholic Diocese of Phoenix. "Pastor worship" has become in some sense the new version of the Old Testament sin of idolatry, something we don't much talk about anymore. Yet what is at stake with the influence a pastor wields over a community makes it imperative that they just not partake in adultery etc. 800.345.WMCA.

3pm:
She suffered sexual harrassment, molestation, and assault from the most powerful person in the world. The next day her husband ended up dead, and she was told to believe it was a suicide. What fears does this former "friend" of Bill and Hillary Clinton harbor in their possible return to the White House? Catch this exclusive: Kathleen Willey. Her new book TARGET: Caught in the crosshairs of Bill and Hillary Clinton.

3:20pm
Blaming others for our lack of progress or success is immature, and grossly unattractive. "Why do I think Celine had the sales and I didn't? Because she's a white girl... You want me to be honest? That's why," Labelle told the MonacoRevue. What a sad and victimized mentality it is that comes up with such theories. My special needs black son will never be held back by "whitey" - not in his own mind. But this instance also points to our inherent unwillingness to take responsibility for our actions, mistakes, failures. And if we don't do that - we will never succeed! 800.345.WMCA.

Stupid, whack job, thugs with a motivation to place a hit, cut phone lines, shoot and run - kill NFL Defensive backs... And it was likely Taylor's inability to keep a gun at his residence that cost him his life...

The countdown is on until some liberal calls for a handgun ban from this tragedy...

Did not vote!

America's most murderously incompetent mayor scolded the people of his city for the 27.5% turnout for primary elections on October 20, 2007. The same day he himself did NOT cast a ballot... no worries though it's all good because it's STILL all the white man's fault!

"Gore's-BULL Warming!"

We are set on a course of 'planet saving' madness:

The scare over global warming, and our politicians' response to it, is becoming ever more bizarre. On the one hand we have the United Nation's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change coming up with yet another of its notoriously politicised reports, hyping up the scare by claiming that world surface temperatures have been higher in 11 of the past 12 years (1995-2006) than ever previously recorded.

This carefully ignores the latest US satellite figures showing temperatures having fallen since 1998, declining in 2007 to a 1983 level - not to mention the newly revised figures for US surface temperatures showing that the 1930s had four of the 10 warmest years of the past century, with the hottest year of all being not 1998, as was previously claimed, but 1934.

"Whose name sound's like 'Osama'..."

"But," says Yale Taliban, "He probably won't win."

Guessing from my experiences in America I don’t think he is going to be a strong leader who could bring important changes. Because, I think as a black man, with a muslim name that is similar to Osama, and a foreign born father he is not going gain the confidence of the core white Americans. I know some liberals support him. But liberals are usually shaky–not– die-hards as the conservatives.

Props to "Campaign Carl" who has gone all blogosphere for us this year. So that the already most credible JOURNALIST on the political trail has nearly instantly become the most credible BLOGGER too. Nice!

I was as puzzled as anyone when Lott abruptly annoucned his resignation today. This makes a tad bit more sense to me - and if true, glad to see the Senator do the right thing.

It would have been better if he had done so following his racial problems a few years back however...
