...ok, if I HAVE too...

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have been publicly verbal about the fact that they will refuse to marry until marriage is redefined to include all sorts of sexual unions.

THAT may be changing...

...reconciled...

Couldn't one of the best story lines of the Lohan family saga be that Michael found Jesus, got his life on track, and is eagerly embracing Lindsay's attempt to do the same?

He told People magazine, in regards to her community service, "When she was younger I had her at hospitals, visiting cancer patients and sick kids,” he tells People. “I know she wants to do stuff like this, mission work. I asked her how it was going and she said she is really enjoying it. She’s happy.”

Rumor also is that Lindsay will begin her jail time on her second DUI over the Thanksgiving weekend to keep the media input on the issue on the back burner...

...married a girl to make a statement...

Did the former teen star once "get married" to one of her girlfriends in Vegas - just to make a statement? Enquiring minds seemed to weigh in...

She's not the only celebrity to make a mockery of marriage to further push the homosexual activist envelope.

Brad Pitt promised to keep his children with Angelina Jolie illegitimate until marriage is redefined as well.

...sometimes you just gotta take a stand...

Rick Piper, 56, owner of Auto Home and Family Insurance Center on Broadway, put a sign in the window of the business about a month ago that says "Save the kids -- Say no to gay marriage in NY." He is very clear about his reason for doing it.

"It's sin, that's all," he said, alluding to passages in the Bible against homosexuality. "It's not so much about how I feel about it. It's not an issue with me. It's an issue with God."

2pm:
The courts have made it impossible to stop anyone from getting a divorce in America, and the church doesn't do a thing! Broward County residents now can file for a divorce without leaving the house, or at least get the paperwork rolling. The Broward County Clerk of Courts launched an online service this month that steers citizens through the application process for filing divorce actions, small claims lawsuits and tenant evictions. "It kind of guides you through, it asks questions. Once it knows your name, it will put it in every space it should go," said Kris Mazzeo, director of the circuit/civil family division of the clerk of courts. Clean, neat, no muss, no fuss. Yet the Church is really the agent still in position to get involved with these couples and try to help them see the effects their actions will have down the road. Yet I can't remember the last sermon, encouragement, word from the pulpit I heard on the issue of divorce. 800.345.WMCA.

3pm:
Since Christians gossip as much as everyone else in their office, and they're not supposed to. It's no secret, all over America, employees spend a large chunk of their workday gossiping. A 2002 survey said the average employee spends 65 hours a year gossiping, according to the business communications company Equisys. But one Chicago public relations firm is attempting to cut that time down to zero, which means absolutely no gossiping behind colleagues' backs is allowed, or else. We justify it in our own minds - you know you do. We make excuses, we say we're sharing "concerns on our heart" for someone else. You justify it the only question is the rationale you use to do so! 800.345.WMCA.

Friends, you can not make this stuff up. I did ANOTHER interview this morning (3rd in two days) on the Michelle Obama comments - her own mind you - that scolded Black America to "wake up."

Roland S. Martin - the morning guy on Chicago's Black Talk Station - WVON, invited me on and we had a nice chat about what Mrs. Obama said.

Some, like Martin, were offended that I pointed out that Mrs. Obama had blamed the "inferiority complex" that African Americans have in not supporting a Black candidate on "the lingering effect of racism."

She said it - I didn't!

So I'm invited on to talk about it. Roland was really kind, and we had some animated back and forth - but he still denied that Mrs. Obama had attempted to make the link. You can listen to the opening ten minutes of the hour long discussion in the YouTube clip above.

Then... going to break later in the hour Roland then HIMSELF associates the inferiority complex issue to racism, slavery, et al.

The callers were interesting - nearly all of them born before 1965 (as happened on my show) - agreed with Mrs. Obama. The two callers that identified themselves younger than that did too.

Callers on my show who ran against Mrs. Obama's sentiment (all African American) broke down along the age line. Those born after 1963-65 did not share her feelings, those born before then did.

The really hilarious thing about my time with WVON this morning was that the callers were attacking me for pointing this stuff out. They also grew hostile when I brought up Obama's ADAMANT SUPPORT for abortion - on demand, partial birth, and born alive (where the baby survives the procedure but is allowed to die in the soiled utility closet at Christ Hospital in the Chicago suburb of Oak Brook... a procedure Obama FOUGHT to keep legal while a State Senator.)

So let me understand properly...

Mrs. Obama says blacks feel inferior voting a for Black candidate. But I'm the real bad guy because I hold the same view that Blacks hold in that abortion should be illegal, redefining marriage to include homosexual unions is bad, and that nobody should be allowed to tell anyone - yes even a person "of color" what they can or can not become?

Mrs. Obama said it, Mr. Obama lives it, but I'm the bad guy.

Stunning... If you'd like to hear the full first hour of the discussion sans commercials, here it is.

Your thoughts welcome in the comment section...

David French, who if I understand it correctly is actually off to defend his country in the War On Terror, and his wife Nancy are the owners of EvangelicalsforMitt. He is also a Constitutional expert and Harvard Law educated. He has penned a definitive critical look at the MassResistance propoganda and sets the record straight.

The Romney Critics - specifically MassResistance.org miss it according to French on five key points:

1. MassResistance fails to account for the Governor’s very real move to the prolife side of the abortion debate.
2. MassResistance indulges in an illogical reading of the Goodridge v. Department of Public Health same-sex marriage decision and thereby completely mischaracterizes the Governor’s response to the Massachusetts same-sex marriage crisis.
3. MassResistance fails to account for the Governor’s very real defense of religious liberty over the entitlement mentality of homosexual activists.
4. MassResistance falsely claims Governor Romney excluded the Boy Scouts from volunteering during the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics.
5. MassResistance indulges in leftist-style identity politics by urging that Governor Romney (or any other Republican) participate in a search-and-destroy operation against any government-employed homosexuals.

"Wake-Up My Peeps!"

In the first hour of the show today, I played for you in context the remarks by Michelle Obama about why Barack Obama - her husband - is lagging far behind Hillary in the first voting state of Iowa. Hear that hour of the broadcast for free by clicking here.

I was also asked about her comments on my weekly pundit segment on Prime Time Chicago. On my show response ran about 2 to1 of African American Christians in New York who did not think Michelle Obama's comments were valid.

Here's just two of the dozens of e-mail responses I got from those who were listening and their reactions seem to me to say as much as the original comments did.

Both are from African Americans:

Wow. You have absolutely no understanding of context do you?

What Michelle Obama said is nothing new. In fact, it is an issue that I have
dealt with on many occasions on my own radio show.

So if you want to have a dialogue about it, rather than spring to the silly
"blame whitey" nonsense, then do so. But if you took the time to truly
examine what she said, and ask for who know what the hell they are talking
about, you just might learn something!

Not that I asked for Roland's smarmy response, but what he failed to realize is that I in fact DID have a dialogue on my show about it - with almost exclusively African Americans from all across the New York Metro. Hmmm I wonder if Roland thinks that New York African Americans - aren't REALLY African Americans. You know sort of like Michelle Obama thinking that unless blacks vote for Barack - they're not really blacks either.

A tad bit different tone of response:

Dear Kevin,

Upon hearing your show in it's first half today, the remarks of Mrs.Obama were being discussed.
I attempted to call, finally got thru and was, however, disconnected by the call screener before we began to speak.

Regrettably, Mrs.Obama has, as do many  elitists, liberals and especially aged Social Workers, quasi Pastors and commentators, a vested interest in perpetuating a victim mentality, both within the Afro American community and without.

For those within, the victim mentality acts as an insulator from the challenges of progress, those including the personal failures, the personal persistence and the personal responsibility of victory.

By viewing one's self and an entire race as a victim, the responsibility for intellectual, social and financial progress and responsibility is eradicated, thereby maintaining a status quo, regardless of decades of legislation and social change.

A voting block is so maintained..a faceless, mindless herd of sheep refusing to move out of the darkness into the light.

This crowd responds as a crowd, to tired ideas, to tired men, predictably and easily. Not much thought is necessary to keep a crowd aroused, just a few lightening rod ideas and catch phrases will keep them enflamed. The ultimate goal, to remain enflamed.

Even more insidious is Mrs. Obama's view of the African American community, that is, not the view of an "us" but rather a "them".

Mrs. Obama speaks not as a member of the community, rather, as an outsider assessing a group mindset, a mindset necessary for her progress and well being, however a mindset removed, and separate from her own and her husbands.

Christians who happen to be African American have heard, if not totally believed, that in Christ, there is no longer Jew or Greek.

It is then necessary for every believer, regardless of ethnic back round , gender or social standing, to take up his cross, daily and to plow the field God has given.

There is no white church or black church, only the blood bought church of the redeemed in Jesus Christ.

May God have mercy on us all.

In case you missed it I addressed my heavy hearted concerns about some of the heavy handed tactics being taken by Romney critics. The prominent ones in particular...

If you missed the column, here it is: Romney Critics: NOT telling the whole story!

One of those - and a nice guy at that - Brian Camenker wrote to respond to my encouragement to at least present both sides.

His response:

Dear Kevin,

I enjoyed your article on Romney, Sandy Rios, Gregg Jackson, and me.
However, there are a few points you might note:

(1) I don't find Romney's opinion on a federal Marriage Amendment very important because, constitutionally, the President has no part in the amendment process. Only Congress and the state legislatures affect it.

(2) In 2002 when there was a solid Marriage Amendment being proposed in Massachusetts, Romney refused to support it because (he told the Boston Globe) it didn't allow for civil unions. He later supported a "soft" amendment that did not ban civil unions.

(3) After Romney's "conversion" on abortion, he signed into his "universal health care" bill that gives us public funded abortions and puts Planned Parenthood in an official advisory capacity.

(4) I am not an evangelical Christian. I am Jewish.

Best regards,
Brian Camenker

It's truly interesting that on the notes that Camenker wishes that I would "note" he falls guilty of the very same thing the original column discussed - CONTEXT. Let's go through them one at a time.

(1.) Support of the Marriage amendment is irrelevant to this critic in particular because he can't pass it? Such an odd thing to say given that there wouldn't even be a federal marriage amendment had the PRESENT President not consistently fought to get it into Congress. The next President will have at minimum the same ability as the current President to rally support, pressure lawmakers and speak of the need to pass such legislation.

(2.) Words like "solid" and "soft" are very big gaps in this criticism. To be more specific - Romney did not support the version of the state marriage law that used the term civil union as well as marriage. Would I have liked him to - sure. But it is also reasonable to argue that civil unions (not homosexual in nature) are of need in our society. (A dying parent allowing their child to form a civil union with them to operate bank accounts, manage money, oversea medical care - is not a pipedream - but a reality for thousands of Americans. Such "civil unions" are done with two individuals and an attorney. This also goes to demonstrate why homosexual "civil unions" are so unneccesary - they already - AND have already existed.) My battle is for the term, idea, and institution of marriage being a unique and seperate entity that we as a society protect. This concept and literal understanding is the same concept that Mitt Romney espouses. Camenker, Rios, and Jackson can not prove otherwise...

(3.) On abortion is Mitt where I am on 0% abortions being allowed under the law? No. Therefore his mandating the health insurance issue in his state to outlaw all abortions was unrealistic. In Mitt's case he believes they should be outlawed 99.97% of the time. (Only exceptions - mother's health, rape, and incest. Again the exact same position as our current president - THE MOST PRO-LIFE PRESIDENT in history.)

(4.) I DO APOLOGIZE for misrepresenting Camenker's faith. It was an oversight. The time's he had been on my show - he spoke with such fervor for the righteousness of our nation - I made a bad judgement call. Though the Jewish faith cares equally as much about TRUTH as Biblical Christianity does - therefore the principle I was arguing stands strong!

To date, I have not yet heard from Sandy Rios or Gregg Jackson, but will be glad to post their responses - in the interest of as much transparency as possible. (Something the three of them - have yet to afford the former Governor.)

2pm:
I don't understand why everything I fail at - is always someone else's fault. Now black  people not voting for Obama is because of an inferiority complex: "You know, there's always that doubt in the back of the minds of people of color. People who've been oppressed and haven't been given real opportunities. That you never really believe. That you believe that somehow, someone is better than you. You know, deep down inside, you doubt whether you can do it, because that's all you've been told, is "no, wait." That's all you hear, and you hear it from people who love you. Not because they don't care about you, but because they're afraid." I know that elements of racism do still exist in America. As the father of a special needs African-American son I worry about the world he's stepping into. I reject Mrs. Obama's ideas and will not allow my son to be affected by such a fear. 800.345.WMCA.

3pm:
I have a dilemma. I believe that Government should not harrass or invade the privacy of my children. But what about when other accountable adults don't do their job? Breathalyzers and pad downs, micro-chips for GPS tracking, metal detectors with bars on windows. Is it school? Or Prison? I don't want Government invading my child's privacy. I'm a responsible parent - and my child should have the right to live in freedom - as long as their own personal actions are moral. You probably disagree with me, or maybe you don't. (And 73% of YOU agreed, only 26% said use the technology to keep them safe...)

3:20pm
The United States Senate is taking an interest in how much a pastor makes... so at the very least shouldn't we? Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa said those under scrutiny include faith healer Benny Hinn, Georgia megachurch pastor Creflo Dollar and one of the nation's best known female preachers, Joyce Meyer. Grassley sent letters to the half-dozen Christian media ministries earlier this week requesting answers by Dec. 6 about their expenses, executive compensation and amenities, including use of fancy cars and private jets. In a statement, Grassley said he was acting on complaints from the public and news coverage of the organizations. "The allegations involve governing boards that aren't independent and allow generous salaries and housing allowances and amenities such as private jets and Rolls Royces," Grassley said. So many pastor's labor for the store front churches here in New York, and take full time jobs outside just to pay bills. So deciding how to figure out the compensation for your pastor is one important job. How well are we doing? 800.345.WMCA.

But if it looks like duck, swims like a duck, and waddles like a duck in pantsuits...

“You can be as liberal as much as you like, if you are a Democrat, as long as you don’t call yourself a liberal,” Nunberg quipped.

To Nunberg and his fellow liberal — or progressive — Berkeley linguist George Lakoff, the presidential election of 2008 may mark the ascension of the Democratic Party, but not of “liberalism.”

“They are running from the word liberal as fast as they can because it has been tainted. It’s ‘bleeding-heart liberal,’ ‘tax-and-spend liberal,’ ‘liberal elite,’ ‘liberal media,’” Lakoff said, who has been a rhetorical consultant for Democrats in the past decade.

I'm not sure - but it sure sounds like Michelle Obama is saying that the reason African Americans aren't supporting Barack Obama thus far in the presidential race is due to White Racism.

Is that what she said?

It sounds like that's what she said?

Sure she might be couching it in "generational effects" of blacks being told they aren't good enough. But that didn't seem to stop Condoleeza Rice from speaking 6 languages fluently, becoming an accomplished concert pianist, an Olympic competitive figure skater, the Provost of Stanford University, and oh yes - the first ever black female National Security Advisor AND Secretary of State.

Isn't the story of America - regardless of the desperate situation anyone comes from - is that liberty and freedom are the keys to becoming whatever their dreams push them to become?

Maybe Mrs. Obama - should take a closer look at her husbands core values. Maybe the black communities of America - don't really believe that "born alive abortions" are all that great of a thing to protect into law. Maybe the black church community in America isn't all that keen to see marraige be redefined into whatever random sexual unions can be imagined. Maybe - just maybe - there are more African Americans who would like government to tax them less as they are moving into the middle and upper classes of the economic scale. Maybe there are numbers of African American families who would prefer tax-credit vouchers to home school or send their children to private school than to sentence them to more failures in the nation's public schools...

Maybe Mrs. Obama is the one who should "wake up" and listen to what people who aren't supporting her husband's candidacy have to say about the issues... as opposed to playing the tired, stale, "racism is everything" card - simply because BLACK voters aren't supporting her husband.

(CLICK the pic to see highlights of Team Romney(8-1) crushing Team McCain(6-3))

Here's how it compares... with apologies to Dean Barnett:

In the NFL there are but really only 4 teams now still in contention to win it all. Yes technically not all of the other competitors have yet been eliminated but that doesn't change the fact that there are only 4 teams who will realistically share a chance at taking it all.

1. The New England Patriots as Hillary Clinton...
"The greatest of all time" or so the "experts" wonder aloud? (And many would disagree...) The most organizational strength of any of the field. Complete with "philandering quarterback who'd rather knock up a girl, and leave her for a new Supermodel" - ready to take up residence as "first lady" and whose calendar would be well... blank, thus allowing him to remain "in play" pretty much 24/7. Team Hillary is also willing to stoop to classic Belicheck cheating levels like videotaping the visiting team's signals, or even planting ONLY the questions that Hillary wishes to answer amongst those who come to the rallies.

2. The Dallas Cowboys as Mitt Romney...
Focused, has his eye on the goal, and has in Jerry Jones style been willing to spend the bucks to pick up the players and put together the organization to bring home the win. Winning the CPAC and Values Voters straw polls are proving he will keep the home team (social conservatives) happy, while going out and grabbing commanding leads in Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, Michigan, and edging closer in Florida is demonstrating he knows how to play efficiently on the road. Like the Cowboys he even had an early glimpse of the likely opponent from the other conference when he and Mrs. Romney unexpectedly found themselves in the middle of the same Iowa street fair with Bill and Hillary Clinton.

3. The Indianapolis Colts as Barack Obama...
Lots of hustle play, is much more popular in the heartland, but hasn't been at it as along as the much superiorly organized Clinton Patriots. Plenty of energy and even some big play recognition (as evidently his Satruday evening speech in Iowa came off.) And should team Hillary's strategy go off course, enough energy would remain concentrated by the big payroll to stay in the game for the long course.

4. The Green Bay Packers as Rudy Giuliani...
Has been around with more star power than nearly anyone on either side of the football - like Brett Favre. Giuliani is leading in many of the national polls and so far has run a fairly penalty-free game, the problem - like the Packers is the lack of facing any particularly tough opponents. No Governorship, No Senate seat, just a couple of New York mayorships - which is the Super  Bowl of Mayor's jobs in the U.S. But let's face it - he's had a regular season schedule that hasn't added up to much so far.

None of this is to say that there aren't other wildcard options. But it is CLEAR that the Dem race is between Hillary and Obama (and the final ticket will likely include both of them at the top and number 2 spots). And in the other conference - everyone is hoping that someone will smell upset (kinda like they were hoping NYC Giants would tear up Dallas tonight in New York.) But at the end of the day everyone knows Green Bay and Dallas stand at 8 &1. It's a Rudy vs. Romney match-up and its beginning to be evident that even if Huckabee were able to break through in Iowa - his lack of discipline in the early money primaries would have caught up to him by Florida - and Rudy will march unchallenged to the nomination. Which is why an Iowa, New Hampshire, or South Carolina primary vote for anyone other than Romney will be in essence a vote FOR Rudy.

At least so says the nation's foremost Buckeye fan who is tonight weeping at the reality of the BCS!
