"Singing a different tune?"

Nearly everyone that has panned the Huckabee surge is doing so on the same general principle. "Yeah he's great on the social issues, but taxes under his watch in Arkansas went up 47%."

Which is true - even if it still kept Arkansas as the state with one of the lowest property tax rates in the nation.

Now the ultimate Mr. Anti-Tax is telling voters they should trust Huckabee's conversion on tax policy. (As many would also intimate that should be done with Romney's abortion position...)

I say it's fair in both circumstances...

"...I know that there's more to life than what I've had!"

"I've had a life better than any king or any prince... HOGWASH I never had Jesus Christ."

"If you don't agree with me then zip it..."

I have been asked regularly of recent as to why I have such a dislike for the candidacy of Ron Paul. The first thing that comes to mind is obviously the stark denial that he has in his own mind that Islamic Jihadists around the world are trying to kill us and he seems to think if we just come home and lock ourselves in our room that they will just go away... (denial of reality)

But I've recently added a second - the behavior of those who support him. Rhetorical thugs that attempt to bully anyone who disagrees with them. Watch the comments grow even to this blog entry as proof. But they do it in public to...

Best Quote of the story: "You're not helping your candidate with this," a middle-aged man told a 20-something man toting a blue-and-white Paul campaign sign.

I'm all for letting all the candidates express themselves and articulate their message. That's one of the reasons I was equally critical of the Brownback campaign at CPAC attempting to disrupt Governor Mitt Romney's slate of interviews on radio row at CPAC last year.

In adopting such methods - you're effectively arguing for the elimination of free speech. A lack of opportunity to compare ideas, and for a campaign that supposedly going to show the universe how much grassroots support there is for one man's ideas... you're not allowing others to choose when you behave like a bunch of baboons...

"Would you repeat the question?"

Three rounds of booing at an important Iowa event - the Heartland Forum. Twice asked if she would grant a path to citizenship for illegals in the country by a certain date within her first 100 days of taking office... Clinton's answer brought on, "BOOOOOOOOs."

If only those in attendance at Saddleback Church had been as discerning about the purpose driven drivel dripping off her lips...

"I walk pretty... oh so pretty..."

8 additional men, four of whom have been willing to go public, are telling their stories of sexual encounters with disgraced and convicted Idaho Senator Larry Craig. One - the same male escort that brought down prominent evangelical Ted Haggard.

This blog has been consistent in its contempt for Senator Craig's either complete carelessness or his willful choice to deceive. As now there are ten accusations that he has yet to address it seems increasingly more like the latter...

By NOT resigning and NOT allowing the people's elected Governor of Idaho help put in a candidate in his place that could gain some positive momentum before the elections in 2008, he practically dooms Idaho voters in 2009.

RESIGN LARRY! You owe it to the people of America! And you promised you would!

A lot of other blogs have been dogging the less than fully well rounded Kellie Pickler over her rather ditzy-blonde appearance on the Foxworthy show "Are YOU Smarter than a 5th Grader!"

UNFAIR... people do we not remember what this young woman faced? Are we that unmoved by the plight of a tortured childhood? Was Miss Teen South Carolina not available for this show?

The thing about Pickle is that you can beat her with facts and figures - but her survival has been found in her spirit, generous heart, and her refusal to both be more than what she is able, or less than what she is capable... And the world might be a better place if the rest of us learned that lesson too!
