"Preggers Reality Show?"

NEW YORK (AP) - Nickelodeon is considering a special for its young audience about sex and love following the news that 16-year-old "Zoey 101" star Jamie Lynn Spears is pregnant.

The television network has made no announcement about the future of "Zoey 101," its popular program aimed primarily at youngsters aged 9- 14. Filming for the show's fourth and final season has finished, and episodes are scheduled to begin airing in February.

For the special, Nickelodeon said it's talking with Linda Ellerbee, the veteran newswoman who has stepped in frequently in the past with shows on talking to children about difficult issues in the news. She's done shows about same-sex parents, AIDS, the Columbine shooting and President Clinton's impeachment scandal.

"I think it's important that something be done," Ellerbee told The Associated Press on Thursday. "But I think it's important that it be done in a measured way, and not just to feed the beast of news stories.

A Nickelodeon spokesman, Dan Martinsen, confirmed the discussions but said no decision had been made.

"You bet your life it was..."

Tanc's out, acknowledges Mitt's record on fighting driver's licenses for illegals in his state, and says his endorsement of the Mittster "absolutely" has much to do with the rise of the Huck - and by comparison his lax history on issues regarding illegal aliens.

Remember: I've not endorsed anyone - nor will I. But this has to be a much more subtance-heavy legit endorsement than Gilchrist for Huck. No question Mitt wins BIG on this one. Tanc is the reason any of the others even admit to thinking about immigration right now...

Opiner in Chief

There is a LOT about this man I am going to miss! Mostly his candid horse-whippings he regularly meets out in his Press Conferences to the White House press corp.

how do we square that chart..with this:

In the past month, the MSM has been booming the Huckaboom, even though it is already a Huckabust.

Never have so many pundits been so wrong about so much.

"Many pundits?"

"Many?

I'm not supporting any of the candidates publicly... but doesn't it defy credulity to see that every black line on this morning's WaPo chart has peaked, and the red one hasn't?

Does that make me some sort of freak for noticing?

As a matter of transparency and disclosure: I am not endorsing a candidate in the GOP Primary.

Were you to not be the GOP nominee...
...would you work to support the candidate?
(Rudy need not apply!)

"ANYONE but RUDY!"

"The more you know?"

The NRO's Byron York breaks down the latest Iowa numbers... stay tuned for a surprise at the end:

There's a new Washington Post/ABC News poll out on the Iowa race.  Conducted among Iowans likely to take part in the Republican caucuses, it shows Huckabee with 35 percent, Romney with 27, Thompson with nine, Giuliani and Ron Paul with eight percent each, and McCain with six.

Looking at intensity, 60 percent of those who named Huckabee as their choice say they will definitely support him, while 49 percent of those who named Romney say they will definitely support him.

When asked which issue was most important to them, 17 percent said immigration; nine percent said terrorism/national security; nine percent said Iraq; nine percent said abortion; and seven percent said the economy – a far different profile from the electorate at large.

When asked the attributes of the candidates, regardless of who they support, 29 percent said Romney is the strongest leader, versus 24 percent for Huckabee.  Thirty-five percent said Huckabee best understands the problem of people like themselves, versus 23 for Romney.  Thirty-five percent said Huckabee is the most honest and trustworthy, versus 23 for Romney.  Twenty-eight said Romney has the best experience to be president, versus 19 percent for Huckabee.  A whopping 61 percent said Romney has campaigned the hardest in Iowa, versus 20 percent for Huckabee.  Thirty-five percent said Romney has the best chance of being elected in November, versus 24 for Huckabee.  And 34 percent said Huckabee best reflects the core values of the Republican party, versus 25 percent for Romney.

When asked whether "Would you say the more you hear about Mike Huckabee, the more (or less, or unchanged) you like him, 37 percent said they liked Huckabee more the more they heard about him.  Fifteen percent said they liked Huckabee less, and 45 percent said their opinion has not changed.

Finally, this question: Does the fact that Mitt Romney is a Mormon make you more (or less, or unchanged) likely to vote for him?  Two percent said it made it more likely, 20 percent said less likely, and 78 percent said it wouldn't matter.  That 20 percent figure is pretty high; the comparable number in the Post's New Hampshire poll was nine percent.

Did you get that peeps?

Nearly 80% responded that Mitt's "Mormonism" MAKES NO DIFFERENCE to how they see him! PRECISELY my point from the beginning. His speech was unnecessary. The BEST thing he could have done was emphasize his value system (which he did at FRC's Values Voters Summit).

Most damning of all for the entire GOP field... 82% of the respondents on Huckabee like him MORE or have no difference in their opinion - the more they learn about him.

One last interesting note on the battle shaping up between the fiscals and the socials:

It's funny, but when it looked like Rudy Giuliani, a social liberal, was going to be the nominee, we didn't see many, if any, establishment Republican opinion leaders freaking out over what kind of danger to the future of the party and the nation he represented….I think it's fair to say that it was assumed that Giuliani would be a sound representative of the Republican Party, and that the social and religious conservatives would do like they always do and get in line….

But lo, it turns out that the candidate who's caught fire comes straight out of the religious/social conservative wing of the coalition, and he is unsound on issues most important to the fiscal wing. It's not supposed to work that way. Nobody at the elite level seems to expect the economic conservatives to suck it up for the sake of party unity. What does that say about the place of social conservatives in the party all these years?

It's hard to shake the belief that the real problem with Mike Huckabee, as far as the establishment is concerned, is that he's not clubbable.

One last note of fully transparent disclosure: Everytime I write something positive about Huck, Mitt's people all throw things at me. When I say nice things about Mitt, all the Huckaboomers slash my tires. A long time ago when I said nice things about Fred... well you see the dilemma. And now I've just come to say the name Ron Paul for personal amusement because of the gasping for air the PaulPots go into at trying to out red-face each other... My point being - for the first time in my public life - I am NOT endorsing a candidate in the GOP Primary race. This blog and all of it's entries related to 2008 are meant to be as transparent a look as possible at the candidates as I am viewing them. Besides - I have no future dreams of being an administration's Press Secretary...

"White PRIDE!"

"What the heck?"

After being lectured for the past two weeks - which amounted to being beaten with rhetorical 2x4's - to never ask questions about Mormon doctrine but instead refer to the teachings at www.lds.org - I did just that when I got an inquiry just now about something one of my readers spotted in the Mitt Romney response on the Couric queries regarding infidelity.

To be fair - when one says they will not disavow the "faith of their fathers" they make a much bigger deal about something most everyone else would just give them a pass on...

Therefore - how does anything you read here, measure up to Romney's answer to Couric in what he said - when he said:

Romney: If-- if a marriage doesn't work, if people really can't get along, if they end up really disliking each other, then I guess it's appropriate to go find a new relationship or move away from marriage. But I'd do that.

What the... How the... Good Nibbly wibbly what the heck?

"Read MY lips!"

"Right now, Jessica Simpson is not a fan favorite in this locker room or in Texas Stadium. I think with everything that has happened, and obviously the way Tony played and the comparison between her and Carrie Underwood, I think a lot of people feel like she's probably taking his focus away.

Other than that, she was at the top of my list until last week.

I've got a message for her when we make the playoffs. Just stay tuned."

"Me Likey Ron PaulPot!"

Desperate to take support from wherever he can get it.

Some - well more like all of two readers have gotten a little cross-eyed over the fact that I dared to imply that George Soros/MoveOn forces were working covertly to assist the most Soros-like candidate on the GOP ticket.

The truth is some of the support has been covert, some of it rather obvious...

For instance one MoveOn group assisted in the funding and production of this television ad:

The MoveOn covert ops have also been infiltrating Ron Paul groups for meet-ups, sometimes not meeting with the most cordial of greetings once discovered.

To see for yourself check the MoveOn.org meet-up site that lists the MoveOn events not to be missed... the next meeting in Michigan for example is December 31st.

The truth is Ron Paul's denial of the Global War against Islamo-fascist Terrorists runs in concert with Soros' "Hate America First" brigades. Plenty of opportunity on many levels to join forces and root for America's failure against our foes.

Paul even opposed Reagan on Grenada...

Yup! He's Soros' man, MoveOn's kind of "GOP", and someone who will take the support from wherever it will come to him from - be it white supremacists, Holocaust deniers, 911 Truthers... or the covert operatives of George Soros or MoveOn.org...

Just view the commercial they made for him...

"Delayed"

NEW YORK (AP) - Lynne Spears' book about parenting has been delayed indefinitely, her publisher said Wednesday.

Lindsey Nobles, a spokeswoman for Christian book publisher Thomas Nelson Inc., said Wednesday that the memoir by the mother of Britney Spears was put on hold last week. She declined to comment on whether the delay was connected to the revelation that Spears' 16-year-old daughter, Jamie Lynn, is pregnant.

Well silly us, who would've thought that someone's 16 year old daughter getting pregnant would in any way reduce the marketplace demand from a Christian Publisher for a book about PARENTING.

"(Infidelity)...is something for them (the voters) to consider."

Dudge is now reporting that Katie Couric is dropping the scarlet A-BOMB (Adultery/Infidelity) in her series of interviews with the Presidential candidates.

Highlights:

Hillary: I think that would be a tough standard (to NOT have committed adultery) for most of American-- history to be able to meet, when we look at people who have made a big difference in our country. I think there's more to someone's honor and integrity, and to their public service. I think sometimes we confuse the private and the public in ways that are not necessarily-- useful. So, of course, it's a deeply personal matter that I take personally. But I think on the public stage-- there are a number of people who have-- represented our country, led our country-- accomplished great achievements on behalf of our country who might have some-- challenges in their personal life, but have made a great contribution.

Edwards: I think the most important qualities in a president in today's world are trustworthiness-- sincerity, honesty, strength of leadership. And-- and certainly that goes to a part of that. It's not the whole thing. But it goes to a part of it. (KATIE COURIC: So you think it's-- an appropriate way to judge a candidate?) Yeah. But I don't think it's controlling. I mean, I think that, as you point out, there have been American presidents that at least according to the-- to the stories we've all heard-- that were not faithful, that were in fact good presidents. So I don't think it controls the issue. But I think it's certain-- something reasonable for people to consider.

Giuliani: You know, they look the every single part of us. And the only-- only thing I can say to people is I'm not perfect, you know? And I've made mistakes in my life. And-- and that-- not-- not just in that area. In other areas and I try to learn from it. I try to-- I feel sorry about them. I try to-- I try to learn from them so I don't repeat them. Sometimes I even repeat them and you-- you try again. I mean, you-- you-- so-- I have a-- maybe a more generous view of human beings and a more generous view of life. I mean, it comes from growing up as a Catholic. I mean, we're all sinners. We're all struggling. We're all trying hard. We ask for forgiveness, and then we try to improve ourselves again. And I've-- relate to other people that way. Relate to the world that way.

Huckabee: If-- if you violate the promise that you made to the one person on earth to whom you're supposed to be closest to, and this vow was made in front of your families, your closest friends, and God, and you don't keep that, then can we trust you to keep a promise that you made to people you don't even know? And I think that's the parallel. And that's-- that's the concern. Is, that a promise you make to a spouse is the most sacred one you ever make to anyone on this earth. And if-- if you don't keep that, and you break that-- then I think there's a good reason to be afraid that you might break other promises, because your credibility has-- has really been damaged at that point.

Obama: Well, I-- you-- you know, I-- I do think that-- public morality and-- and private morality are not sum-- you know, or not equivalent. You know, we-- some of our greatest presidents haven't always been terrific husbands. And some who have been wonderful husbands have been (LAUGHS) rotten presidents. So, you know, I think that-- other countries have typically taken a little more-- casual on approach when it comes to-- the personal lives of-- of elected officials. And I think that there has to be some space for privacy.

Romney: You know, I let people look at me any way they want to. I'm not gonna give advice to the American people in which aspects of a person's life they look at. After all, the president of the United States is gonna be under a microscope. He will be. The first lady will be. The whole family will be. Every mistake will be open to the world. In some respects, you respect the nation. In some respects you represent an example to the children of America. So we're gonna get looked at in all sorts of ways. And I'm not gonna try and counsel the American people as to what to look at. I know they look at my faith, for instance. And I'm happy to have them do so. Some are critical. Some are positive. It's just part of the package. And-- take me as the-- the whole character that I am.
