I feel sorry for the Cutsie Katie Couric having to interview McCain & Palin. Her blatant animosity makes it clear that she would rather enjoying tea & cookies with Obama. But maybe she feels like it is her patriotic duty to help Obama by using "gotcha journalism" to attempt to sabotage Palin.

COURIC, TO PALIN: Over the weekend, Governor Palin, you said the U.S. should absolutely launch cross-border attacks from Afghanistan into Pakistan to, quote, "stop the terrorists from coming any further in." Now, that's almost the exact position Barack Obama has taken and that you, Senator McCain, have criticized as something you do not say out loud. So, Governor Palin, are you two on the same page on this?

SARAH PALIN: We had a great discussion with President Zardari as we talked about what it is that America can and should be doing together to make sure that the terrorists do not cross borders and do not ultimately put themselves in a position of attacking America again or her allies. And we will do what we have to do to secure the United States of America and her allies.

COURIC: Is that something you shouldn't say out loud, Senator McCain?

JOHN MCCAIN: Of course not. But, look, I understand this day and age, "gotcha" journalism. [to Palin] Is that a pizza place? In a conversation with someone who you didn't hear the question very well, you don't know the context of the conversation, grab a phrase. Governor Palin and I agree that you don't announce that you're going to attack another country-

COURIC TO PALIN: Are you sorry you said it Governor?

McCAIN: Wait a minute. Before you say, "is she sorry she said it," this was a "gotcha" soundbite that, look she in a conversation-

Couric shows no desire to hear Palin's answers...she just hammers her with lame questions like, "Are you sorry you said that Governor?" Maybe Couric thinks she will only be taken seriously if she asks ridiculous questions while using her "tough face" but I think she can leave the vampire fangs at home and look for blood somewhere else.

Is anyone else getting tired of the Palin persecution?

"MSNBC also gave a lot of airtime to Tina Fey's "Saturday Night Live" parody of Palin's interview with CBS Evening News anchor Katie Couric, showing clips of the skit seven times between 6:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon. However, only Morning Joe featured "Saturday Night Live's" parody of Senator Barack Obama, and even then the focus was on the portion of the skit which parodied Senator John McCain's "gimmicks."

It's kind of sad when you are challenging a person's experience based on an SNL skit. You'd think journalists could hunt down better facts than than a parody.

Why doesn't MSNBC find similar parodies about Obama and cycle them over and over and over...is there a reason why the media isn't discussing Obama's glaring inexperience? Or the fact that he came to DC in 2005? That less than three years ago he was sitting in senate committees in Illinois...There is only one person in this race with virtually no national or executive experience and that is the freshman senator Obama who has the audacity to run for Commander-in-Chief.

A couple of weeks ago I caught a LOT of grief over my assertion here...

Well evidently the Chicago Police Dept agree with me...

It's not being a cowboy, or a blood thirsty war monger, to say so. It's just a fact. You end up in my daughter's bedroom, you get what's coming...

Staffers who are not to be trusted...

It's a very small thing, only one paragraph and in three page story on the timeline of the overall bailout chronology. But to me it speaks volumes.

When you assemble a team. Generally you look for people you trust. Generally you don't employ people who can not be trusted. Generally you refuse to allow someone to continue to work for you if they can not be trusted.

And with all the leaks that have emanated from "unnamed sources" on capitol hill it seems to me important Washington leaders (particularly in leadership positions) would have tighter requirements for who they employ and the degree of trust they put in those people.

But here's the thing...

Liberals never see dishonesty, lying, untruthfulness, disobeying direct orders-rules-laws, even losing the trust of those one works for or vice versa as anything particularly important.

Following the rules of Saul Alinsky of which Barack Obama is a devout disciple, liberals believe that ANY MEANS necessary is just fine when trying to obtain power, keeping power, or enforcing power.

It goes back to my original contention in the differences between conservatives and liberals:

1. Conservatives believe there is a God. He is outside of them, beyond them, someone they are subject to, someone they live their lives in subjection/submission to.

2. Liberals believe they ARE God OR that God is merely a manipulatable plaything. They certainly do not believe that God is authoritative, powerful, or someone they need to live in obedience to.

I wrote extensively about this observable difference between the two groups in my first book. And hear me on this, I'm not being critical in making this observation - just stating it. Conservatives believe there is a God, Liberals believe they ARE God.

That difference will always allow you to cheat, lie, act in untrustworthy ways - even to your imediate superior - even is she's on your team - even if she's speaker of the House.

Which is why Nancy Pelosi had to become a nanny, and take her staff's Crack-Berries away from them to "prevent leaks" from occurring.

It has nothing to do with partisan affiliation, but it has everything to do with worldview - and the trust or the lack thereof that goes with it.

Obama is a leader not to be trusted...

On the heels of a win in debate number one, the McCain video ad geniuses have taken to their editing bays again.

Given that Obama didn't even know the name of the soldier who's mother had "given him the bracelet to wear" in his famous "me too" moment (and now comes word that the soldier's family had asked Obama to remove the bracelet previous to the debate), McCain's ad gurus have released what is SOON to be a HUGE hit:

On Saturday nights Baldwin McCullough Xtreme Radio is super charged about having AM 970 The APPLE as our flagship home. So if you're in NYC, and you "heart" BMXRadio, get it tuned in on AM 970 Saturday nights - 9-11pm EST.

This week we wanna welcome those newcomers to our airwaves joining us from the recent fill-in stints KMC logged for Don Kroah on WAVA 105.1 FM in Washington DC, and Frank Pastore on 99.5 FM in Los Angeles. It was a genuine pleasure to get to know two great audiences on opposite coasts. And boy were those two weeks eventful! But by all means the conversations were fun and we even got to help some people in the process.

Here's just SOME of what we're hitting on Saturday night - so be by the radio (9pm EST):

1. Christian and Practicing Homosexual?:

This is a subject that seems to be so politically charged, especially with the battle in California raging between the radical angry activists in California and the churches that are trying to stand for Biblical truth. This week American Pop star, Clay Aiken, decided to officially tell the world of who he likes to bed. But We're left wondering - why is that even important? In the past Clay has talked about his being raised in the Christian faith, and loving the music of groups like Avalon. Yet... does his choice of sexual practice put him at odds with his profession of faith? Can someone be both a growing biblical Christian, and someone who is delving into the depths of homosexual life simultaneously? We ask, you comment - 800.345.9622 - call us toll free in hour one.

2. What Carrie Bradshaw would never be able to know...

http://stylestar.files.wordpress.com/2008/06/2008_sex_and_the_city_002.jpg

In a city where relationships, sex, and happiness have a bit more mythical lore thanks to HBO prime time, than reality holds, why would a single gal come to the big apple, and pine her days way waiting patiently and fervently for the right guy? Carrie Bradshaw never found what Anna Broadway was after. So who was the happier? Well Anna Broadway's "Sexless in the City" blog became a sensation and now it has been turned into print. What is in the memoir of reluctant chastity that may help another generation of girls who think, wonder, and hope if love has to resemble the emotional carnage spread across television screens. Only the third guest we've welcomed to the show and she joins us in studio tonight. 800.345.9622 with your questions, observations, and comments.

Resource: Sexless In The City, by Anna Broadway

3. On October 18th come out for our first LIVE remote from Glen Cove Long Island at GLYBooks. We'll be signing books, doing the show live and taking your comments instead of callers - LIVE at GlyBooks.

We'd like to thank our sponsors for making it all happen: Christian Values Network, Compassion International, GLYBooks.com, and Hit Me Energy Shots.

Jousenika's profile was written before the recent FOUR consecutive hurricanes. I'm told that her mother has been missing since Gustav.

Compassion International can feed, clothe, love, give medical for, and schooling free of charge for her, for about $1 a day.

So... she's my new little passion. Love her, SPONSOR her, just click on her picture above and read about her life BEFORE the hurricanes, I think you'll see that a buck isn't all that much to bring a little love into her tiny life!

The difference between Obama and McCain in the debates last night is the same difference you would experience if you were going to get your car fixed...Who would you choose? The man who has memorized the manual and can tell you what page 83 says? Or the man who has gotten in up to his elbows in cars, fixing, repairing, and target shooting problems?

Obama sounded like a college student giving canned answers straight out of a Democratic playbook. He attempted to appeal to the "average voter" by promising all sorts of freebies and government programs and telling us how much he cares about us and how early childhood education (aka government funded daycare) will be one program that wil not be eliminated because of the economic crisis.

He looked angry, he was not conversational, and he couldn't remember McCain's name and instead called him "Tom" and "Joe." He was befuddled and generic in his answers to questions. His responses had a terseness that comes from being a media darling and not having his positions questioned publicly.

His lame attempts at pretending to be a powerful, well-respected authority in Washington also failed. Our little first term senator bragged about how he "stood up against the Iraq war six years ago" only to have his audience do the mental math and realize he was sitting in Illinois 6 years ago and did not make it to DC (where he is still a freshman without a voice) until January 4, 2005.

He looked shallow and one-dimensional next to John McCain. McCain showed a deep love for his country that compells him to serve our country. Obama has a nuetral attitude towards our country and it's people and is much more excited by his own government program pipe dreams.

Overall, it just depends on who you want in office...the manual or the mechanic?

Obama is a candidate who can not be trusted!

In an exclusive to the Weekly Standard former Sec. Kissinger made it clear - he was NOT pleased that Obama had lied about his position on the issue of Iran in the evening's debate:
He says: "Senator McCain is right. I would not recommend the next President of the United States engage in talks with Iran at the Presidential level. My views on this issue are entirely compatible with the views of my friend Senator John McCain. We do not agree on everything, but we do agree that any negotiations with Iran must be geared to reality."

Demon breath

I was interested in seeing the round up of the other side as I'm watching the Drudge and FoxNews instant reax polls rack up HUGE wins for McCain. (At time of this post McCain winning - 69%-29%, and 82%-15% respectively)

I should not have been surprised but take a look at the way the left expresses itself over the obviously good night for McCain:

Jonathan Singer, MyDD:

There's a lot of talk on MSNBC about John McCain's demeanor. He came off as mean, condescending and a jerk, not looking at Barack once the whole night, while Barack came off as Mr. nice guy. Will people judge McCain harshly for acting like a dick or will they see it as strength? Will they like Barack more or will they think he allowed McCain to roll over him?

Josh Marshall:

I said above that McCain didn't have any freak-out moments. But he did have that sneer and there did seem to be this thing where he was so contemptuous and angry at Obama that he couldn't get himself to make eye contact. I think we'll hear more about that.

Angry, angry, angry. Part of the key here is that McCain is clearly miffed that he even has to debate or run again Obama. He thinks it's an insult.

Digby:

It's very hard for me to gauge this debate because to me John McCain is quite obviously a crazy, intemperate, nasty old bastard. He was sarcastic, contemptuous and patronizing. I really, really loathe him.

And from the Daily Kos community:

schof: I was surprised that McCain didn't completely shit the bed.

churchill: when I came home from POW huge groans in OKC

VictorK: Lehrer only asked one bad question, and that's the last one on another 9/11. Favorite Moments of the Debate: Obama's zinger on bomb bomb bomb iran. Brilliant. When Obama pointed out he had a bracelet too.

plf515: Obama could have been more forceful in rejecting McCain's lies, and in bringing up what is in all the spending that McCain objects to. But McCain didn't look great either. Obama finished strong. The CNN ticker seemed to indicate more support for Obama than McCain, but I am not sure how reliable that is, and the difference didn't seem overwhelming.

"yeah... what HE said!"

Team McCain has been faster, more agile and certainly more lethal with their ad production... and they pounced on an opening this big within minutes of the debate's conclusion:

66% 149,239
OBAMA

32% 72,225

McCain: "Listen...."
Obama: "What HE said!"

10:54 -
LOVELY:  McCain pretty much schooled Obama on every subject that was covered--Obama was even agreeing with him on many points. Obama kept trying to distinguish himself from Bush instead of McCain, which was pointless. He also kept falling on his campaign platform that Iraq was a mistake, which was pointless since we are there and the focus should be on how to get out successfully. McCain had Obama on the defense for much of the debate and managed to get a few zingers in as well.

10:35 -
FAITH AMMEN:  Why is Obama ok with spending money on EVERYTHING (including "early childhood education") EXCEPT for the PRIMARY ROLE OF GOVERNMENT which is NATIONAL SECURITY & PUBLIC DEFENSE!

10:34 -
KMC:  Me think it terribly unwise for Barack Obama to even utter the word "veteran" when standing next to the man who puts him the shadows on the issue...
LOVELY:  Obama is in a bit over his head when it comes to talking about veterans in front of John McCain

10:32 -
KMC:  Am i just drunk or does Obama think that by saying "Iraq is a boogeyman" that no one will notice that he doesn't know what the holy hell he's talking about? AND ISN'T IRAQ BEING TURNED OVER TO IRAQ?
FAITH AMMEN:  Obama says terrorists are operating in 60 countries and we should "root them out"...but he thinks it's wrong that we attacked terrorists in Afghanistan AND Iraq?
Obama: "America is the greatest country BUT..."
LOVELY:  Umm we send the whole world money and help, and they still hate us...are we really concerned with our reputation in other countries?

10:24 -
LOVELY:  and Obama agrees with McCain for like the 15th time
KMC "yeah - what he said"
FAITH AMMEN:  I love it...McCain visits all these countries and spends time talking with the presidents and Obama just says he "objected" to the violence against Georgia...
FAITH AMMEN:  We only have "3 % of the world's energy supplies"...well, Obama dear, we could have a whole lot more if you would let us DRILL OFFSHORE!
LOVELY:  Obama has a plan!!!! Hey that's great!
KMC Barry OKerry: "I've got a plan"

10:20 -
KMC: McCain is using Obama up on the Georgian question his range on the overall issue is stunning compared to Obama's rather simplistic bullet points.
"Obama: 'Uh I think I agree with Senator McCain..."

10:18 - On the issue of Obama's response to the Georgian question:
KMC:  I love Barry O's sparkly eyeliner
FAITH AMMEN:  it's eyeshadow, Kevin
KMC:  my bad goes well with his plum lipstick
LOVELY:  I wonder if his makeup artist used a highlighting foundation with the light reflecting particles it gives your skin that glowing look
KMC And I'm sure its not MAC
FAITH AMMEN:  probably bare minerals. Actually, it does look like a certain MAC eyeshadow I have...it's (ironically) called "Honesty"

10:15pm -
KMC: VERY GOOD SCORE on the "North Koreans have broken every deal they've entered in to..."
FAITH AMMEN:  McCain didn't say you would do it without "preparations"...he said you would do it without "preconditions" Woah, is Obama saying he believes in a Bush policy?
KMC Obama's whining about how McCain is contextualizing his "preconditions" statement - with only one problem. OBAMA DID SAY HE WOULD MEET WITHOUT PRECONDITION!

10:13pm -
LOVELY:  I don't think "talking" with these terrorist nations is going to make them change their minds on what they want to do
KMC Barack Obama's eye-makeup looks really cute on HD! Nice score on the "Obama seal" reax

10:11pm -
LOVELY:  isn't Obama basically calling for negotiating with terrorists then?
KMC: The Obama doctrine has morphed significantly in what he is describing as "preparations" in meeting with the Iranian state now...

10:09pm - KMC resumes the moderating and participating with us is the Lovely Bride, and the Lovely Faith Ammen...

Who's using scare tactics? Can someone notify the Cutesy Katie Couric that it is Democrats referring the "Great Depression"?

Obama's response: "greatest financial crisis since the Great Depression"
McCain:  "greatest financial crisis in our time...and I've been around a while"

Who knows the tax code?
Obama: "Republican's do what's good for Wall Street not for Main Street"

WAIT, is this the same man who doesn't believe in tax cuts? YOU HAVE TO PAY TAXES IN ORDER TO RECEIVE A TAX BREAK. The TOP ONE PERCENT of wage earners pay 39 PERCENT OF TAXES. The lower 50% pay only THREE PERCENT of taxes.

Obama said he doesn't believe that if we give the wealthy tax breaks that prosperity will trickle down...can we get the kid in a basic economics class? If you tax the wealthy (who create the jobs the middle class have) they will be forced to increase the price of products that all of us use.

Who's a downer?
Obama whines and complains and cries about all the poor people in America...
McCain has a fundamental belief in America and recognizes that no matter what, we are still the greatest producers in the world...

9:32 pm Can Obama not promote himself without referring to George Bush?

9:33 pm Can Obama do anything but pander to those in society who loves freebies? "I'll pay for your healthcare!" "I'll increase funding for early childhood development" "I'll give you taxes back so you can buy a computer!" "I'll make your college more affordable!"

9:37 pm Obama warned us about this financial crisis two years ago? Oops...I'm sorry...were you even in the Senate two years ago? Does anyone even listen to you?

9:38 pm Why can't Obama get McCain's name right? So far he has called him "Tom" and "Joe"...Does he need a teleprompter to remember his opponent's name?

9:44 pm Obama says we shouldn't have gone to Iraq because we weren't finished in Afghanistan? I'm sorry...are we just supposed to wait till we wrap up everything nice and tidy before we address other threats?

9:45 pm Obama says he opposed the war six years ago? Where were you Obama? In Illinois? Did anyone care?

9:46 pm McCain is believable, genuine, and has real knowledge and historical context. Obama is shallow, manipulative, defensive, and arrogant. Obama doesn't seem to realize that there is evil in the world and it must be confronted and eliminated.

9:49 pm It's very hard to believe Obama has a legitimate record to back up any of his claims considering the fact that he was in office 143 days before he decided to run for President

10:00 pm Note to Obama: you can't be on both sides of every issue...you can't say you support the military but desparage their missions, you can't say you support taxes but tax those who actually PAY taxes, you can't say you believe in personal choice yet make all programs run by the government?

Change or Reform?

No... I'm not REALLY talking about the Presidential candidates. More like measuring for yourself - what makes the Kind of Man EVERY man SHOULD Be!

Some wonderful things being said about my new book...

From the blog StonesCryOut:
His book is a wake up call to men (and women) everywhere that it’s time for men to start living the way that God has designed them. It’s both a very personal and immensely practical book and one that I heartily recommend to everyone.

And from the e-mail bag:
About the time I had finished reading the book (the first of many times, I am sure) my mother launched a vicious attack via e-mail upon myself, my wife, and my two young daughters. There's a long story involved but the short version is that she is angry with me because I have dared to live my life and raise my children according to God's word. This has been a longstanding problem that had come to a head just in the last two weeks. But what your book showed me was how I had repeatedly failed my family by not protecting them even when it involved my own parents. I am a changed man as a result of reading your book and I can safely say that the changes will be for the better.

Thank you so much for writing your book. As difficult as I am sure it was for you to write please know that God has used the struggles you've experienced to encourage myself and I am sure countless other men (and women for that matter). I thank God that you had the courage to step up and write this incredibly important book.

For understandable reasons I am keeping the identity of the e-mailer concealed.

I certainly don't claim my new book is the perfect fix-all for everything that is amiss in men's lives today. But my goal was to aim at making the best overarching case for what a healthy man looks like as I could.

I hope and believe it can do that for you.
