As cited by MKH in his newest campaign ad: "As president, I'll hire new border guards, build a fence, ask governors to certify that their borders are secure. The two million people who have committed crimes will be deported immediately."
Behind closed doors in Washington: "I think the fence is least effective. But I'll build the goddamned fence if they want it."

Per Jon Scott FoxNewsChannel just now...
Record turnout in California, five times the record turnout in Georgia, and in Arkansas at 10:47am - MORE PEOPLE have cast ballots than in the last two elections...
My read: big turnout in California is good for Romney/Obama. Big turnout in Georgia and Arkansas benefits Huckabee (Obama in Georgia/Hillary in Arkansas.)

Obligatory "Brit's let crazy out of the box again..." post... No doubt that Britney's father being given actual custody and charge for his troubled daughter is a good thing. Her parents being removed from her life probably got her into this mess to begin with. Now there's a story reporting that a sex tape has been stolen from her home. And if your Brit's father I wonder what you get out of bed tomorrow and think, "Is the bigger crime the fact that a sex tape might be leaked showing Brit in a sex setting with two women and a doing cocaine and marijuana? Or more along the line that she didn't have enough sense to not get into the situation to begin with?" How Britney's parents have the purpose to carry on under the landslide of bad news for their two daughters is nearly unexplainable. Maybe the future fathers of the next generations of Jessica Simpsons, and Britney Spears will take a look at what happens when the priorities get out of whack. The question is will it cause them to do anything differently? Yeah... right.

"The Catch" (2008 Style) There is no question that Peyton's little brother stepped out of his shadow, and tonight became "Eli"! Certainly Archie Manning tonight can breathe a great sigh of pride and joy that his two sons, who he loves so much and passed on to them a love for the game that has inspired their lives, have won back to back Super Bowls AND MVP rings... But tonight I defy you to show me a gutsier player than my friend number 85 David Tyree. After breaking his collar bone in the final game of pre-season, he missed many games in the first half of the season. And even after his return, while his contributions increased, they came slowly. But in every playoff game Tyree contributed in big ways, and in tonight's biggest game of all - BIG PLAYS. Tyree had no touchdowns on the year, but gave the Giants their first go ahead lead with a do or die catch from Manning. But NONE of the plays were any MORE important to the total outcome of the game than Tyree's gritty grab in the final 2:35. Here's the video of it. What amazing sense of determination. In what started out as the most questionable of season's, the most discouraging of circumstances, and the less than glorious honor of going 0 & 2 out of the gate, Tyree, like most of the Giants fought back with a tenacity that lead to the highest level of accomplishment. But there is so much more to him than meets the eye. He is a committed father, a husband who is crazy about his lovely Leilah, and the founder of a ministry called "Next in Line" that more or less seeks to fulfill the purpose of helping kids make the best choices for their lives in spiritual, ethical, and moral terms. David has lent his time for the past two years to Good Council Homes of Metro NYC. This ministry seeks to assist unwed mothers, in giving them protection, getting them educated, initiating them on how to live on a budget. It is an intensive program and the Tyrees have volunteered their time because they know the value of having someone of values there to be able to gain wise counsel from. His determined play tonight, along with the way in which he orders and lives his life was a stark contrast to the likes of the quarterback for New England. (A boy who knocks up one actress, only to dump her mid-pregnancy for the Victoria Secrets Supermodel flavor of the month.) I am proud to say - that David Tyree is man fully deserving of the Super Bowl MVP, and quite frankly without his miraculous catch late in the fourth quarter the Giants would have been the team who did not stop the undefeated seasoning from happening. A bad night for Tom Brady is a wonderful thing for the rest of the universe. But to see Tyree work so hard to make his comeback complete - the night was made even sweeter! CONGRATS #85 - you earned it!

"I'll CAMPAIGN for her..." (this post is one GIANT h/t to HotAir) The backlash against the "independent" vote that has put McCain in the driver's seat of the GOP nomination has been fierce. Ann Coulter going the furthest last night with a very simple declaration. "I will campaign for her, if it's McCain!"
But Ann's not the only one... enter Mark Levin:
Last night McCain, who is the putative frontrunner, resorted to a barrage of personal assaults on Romney that reflect more on the man making them than the target of the attacks. McCain now has a habit of describing Romney as a “manager for profit” and someone who has “laid-off” people, implying that Romney is both unpatriotic and uncaring. Moreover, he complains that Romney is using his “millions” or “fortune” to underwrite his campaign. This is a crass appeal to class warfare. McCain is extremely wealthy through marriage. Romney has never denigrated McCain for his wealth or the manner in which he acquired it. Evidently Romney’s character doesn’t let him to cross certain boundaries of decorum and decency, but McCain’s does. And what of managing for profit? When did free enterprise become evil? This is liberal pablum which, once again, could have been uttered by Hillary Clinton.
As for McCain “the straight-talker,” how can anyone explain his abrupt about-face on two of his signature issues: immigration and tax cuts? As everyone knows, McCain led the battle not once but twice against the border-security-first approach to illegal immigration as co-author of the McCain-Kennedy bill. He disparaged the motives of the millions of people who objected to his legislation. He fought all amendments that would limit the general amnesty provisions of the bill. This controversy raged for weeks. Only now he says he’s gotten the message. Yet, when asked last night if he would sign the McCain-Kennedy bill as president, he dissembles, arguing that it’s a hypothetical question. Last Sunday on Meet the Press, he said he would sign the bill. There’s nothing straight about this talk. Now, I understand that politicians tap dance during the course of a campaign, but this was a defining moment for McCain. And another defining moment was his very public opposition to the Bush tax cuts in 2001 and 2003. He was the media’s favorite Republican in opposition to Bush. At the time his primary reason for opposing the cuts was because they favored the rich (and, by the way, they did not). Now he says he opposed them because they weren’t accompanied by spending cuts. That’s simply not correct.
Count Glenn Beck and Michelle Malkin in as well. The audio. Speaking of talk show guys... Joe Scarborough dismembers McCain: And what Mornin' Joe left out Jackie Mason finished off:
