Liberals ain't buyin' it... FoxNews has been reporting the response of a senior Hillary staffer who has flat out denied this coming from any Hillary ad. I'll let you decide - see below: The problem is there are a couple of hours minimum left in most of the voting places tonight - and there are some late deciders who will make their mind up in the voting booth. As word spreads - as prominent liberal voices like John Aravosis speak up: "It just keeps happening again and again and again. The Clintons keeps doing things, saying things, that sound awfully racist. And we're to believe that this, the - what? 8th, 10th time? - this has happened is again just a coincidence." I do wonder what the reaction would be were the McCain campaign to darken Obama's skin in a TV ad. Front-page of the New York Times, perhaps? It will be clear that Democratic supporters won't be buyin' it...

 "...he played on our fears!"
John Coleman: “The Weather Channel had great promise, and that’s all gone now because they’ve made every mistake in the book on what they’ve done and how they’ve done it and it’s very sad,” Coleman said. “It’s now for sale and there’s a new owner of The Weather Channel will be announced – several billion dollars having changed hands in the near future. Let’s hope the new owners can recapture the vision and stop reporting the traffic, telling us what to think and start giving us useful weather information.” “[I] have a feeling this is the opening,” Coleman said. “If the lawyers will take the case – sue the people who sell carbon credits. That includes Al Gore. That lawsuit would get so much publicity, so much media attention. And as the experts went to the media stand to testify, I feel like that could become the vehicle to finally put some light on the fraud of global warming.”

DOOM! If this new finding by Rasmussen turns out to be true... McCain is in for an even tougher ride than even I've foreseen:
Republicans like Sen. Barack Obama nearly as much as they like their own likely presidential nominee, Sen. John McCain, according to a new Fox 5/The Washington Times/Rasmussen Reports poll.
The survey determined that a quarter of self-identified Republicans rated Mr. McCain most likable, but nearly as many — 23 percent — chose Mr. Obama as most likable. And among all adults surveyed, Mr. Obama was rated likable by more people than Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton and Mr. McCain combined, underscoring the Illinois senator's appeal to voters across the political spectrum.
"There is something about Barack Obama that is hard to capture in polling and it's an enthusiasm, it's a freshness, it's an excitement he can generate that will certainly be a factor in the campaign," said pollster Scott Rasmussen.

In response to the post I put up last night concerning Alec Baldwin's implication that his younger brother is a "hater" of homosexuals, I noted that I felt this was a stretch at minimum, a misquote, something out of context etc...
Two responses caught me a bit unawares. When the Lovely Bride read the story, her immediate reaction was, "I think you're giving Alec too much of a pass. PinkNews quoted him directly, and unless they made it up he said what he said."
Ok, so I agreed to disagree.
But then came Allen's response here on the blog: Anyone who takes favorable company with the likes of you, Kevin, is a hater. As I said in my response to your latest anti-gay column - I find it ironic that you are adamantly opposed to assisted suicide, as you have assisted in a number of gay teen suicides in your career as a meanspirited homophobe. This is irrefutable fact. You have helped cause gay teenagers to kill themselves. That is the definition of a hater. Of course, since you aren't really a "man", you won't have the courage to respond and my comment will probably be removed - but the next time you look at your children, please think about the parent's of a gay teen you helped drive to suicide with your hatred - and pass that message on to "Billy" the next time he joins Alec for one of his Neices dance recitals.
I stopped caring a long time ago about the emotion of someone's response to what I write or say... but the substance I care about very much. It's obvious that Allen is angry, hostile to anyone who dare to think differently than him. It's also ironic that every time an angry homosexual attempts to insult me they do so on the basis that I must be a closeted gay, or in some other way "less" than a real man. It IS a tell-tale sign of how they view manhood, and homosexuality themselves. I mean if you feel so great about the stuff you're engaging in - then how could it be an insult to call someone else that? Ironic... don't you think? The point however is - while I do raise the issue of marriage, and its need for legal protection in America today - I have a big heart for those who are trapped in homosexuality. Sexual malfunction, or "sin" (if you're a person of the scriptures) is highly addictive and extremely dangerous - adultery destroys families, pornography destroys marriages, and homosexuality often times destroys the person - mentally, emotionally, and physically. So in an attempt to continue the dialogue I took my best shot. Allen - so much hate...
Who are you so angry at? You know its not even logical to argue that telling someone who really, really, really - deep down in their heart (they might even think they were born that way) - wants to play with fire, to not do so - is in some way the fault of the person doing the warning, if they then set fire to their house and burn it down. Allen why do non-religious, very scientific studies demonstrate that more than 80% of homosexual males admit to having been molested, touched inappropriately, or indoctrinated into homosexual behavior BEFORE choosing on their own to go act on it? I've contacts presently with at least a dozen men who have been at one time or are now active homosexuals - and its all twelve that assert molestation began the activity in their own life. Biologically speaking the body argues against male intercourse, isn't it possible that the brain does too, and the emotions? Isn't it possible that young men (who you claim are committing suicide by words of others) are actually dealing with the torment of their own thinking knowing that something doesn't add up? Wouldn't it be a good thing for Psychologists to again begin to treat symptoms of abuse, molestation, and other types of emotional pain that cause people to be in such a state where they do exchange the natural for the unnatural? I do agree with you Allen, homosexual youth - males particularly - are committing suicide at a rate far higher than other youth their age. But it has nothing to do with people who are saying, "that's dangerous, let's talk about why you feel those things, and let's see if there is a moral plan for your life, who you are, and why you're here." Do we let young toddlers grab hot pans off the stove? Do we let children play in the street? Do we let teens stay out all night with no accountability? Yeah - there are parents who do all those things, but it doesn't mean that the parents who don't - are bad parents. In fact the opposite is in fact THE truth.

Hmmmmm? Men have a tough time forgiving, because women are lying... even claiming its what's better for men in general. The book I am in the midst of writing now addresses the many results of the modern feminist movement. It is a movement that emphasizes "sameness" of gender as opposed to equality. One sad result of modern feminism becoming the predominant world-view is that men begin to be thought of as less than fully equal - and assuming we'd rather be lied to than told the truth demonstrates this mindset well... Not brain surgery you know...

Whether I'm related to them or not... I'm of mind to think that the writer of this story is not quoting Alec accurately or is not relaying the full context of Alec's statements. Alec is far removed from anything resembling a conservative Christian, though in a close up conversation with him I found him to be reasonable, quite nice, and one thing for certain - a guy who has a definite fondness for his baby brother Stephen. Stephen has certainly shown much concern and loyalty to Alec through some very hard days of recent (whole screaming at his daughter on the answering machine thing) and on the day that they were in studio with me - Alec was picking Stephen up to go attend Stephen's daughter's Christmas dance recital. They certainly have a wide difference of opinion in the Baldwin family. Stephen has on two occasions hi-jacked me by springing first Billy and then Alec on me in an unsuspecting circumstance - but one thing remained constant on both occasions - both Billy and Alec engaged, listened, and were amazingly gracious. It's my own opinion that PinkNews is more like yellow journalism and is attempting to sow strife and enmity between brothers - that people behind the scenes would have a much more difficult time seeing... Just my thoughts anyway...

WELCOME PRIME TIME CHICAGOANS!
...come hither... You know it's an odd thing when I write a column and leftists knee jerk about it all day until they've knocked themselves out from hitting their chins so many times over again. Yesterday I penned, what I found to be a very logical missive about Obama's street-cred with homosexual activists and how he could be similar to the homosexual activist movement to what Bill Clinton was to big-government-dependency blacks were in the 1990's... the FIRST! (Side note - free-market blacks never accepted Billy Jeff as the first black President...) But in stating such observations plainly homosexuals were coming out all over the place feigning indignation that I would have the audacity (good Barack word) to state something that to me is so readily evident. So just to see how the reaction was continuing I News-Googled, " Obama, gay, homosexual" this morning... and guess what? "TEH GAYS" were saying it too... HA! So for all the knee-jerks that went ten rounds with themselves in hysteria over my column yesterday... what say you now? Read the entire column: click here.

How? Forget the polls, the issues, the campaign spin points, just answer me this:
If Barack Obama is able to defeat Hillary Clinton, who until recently was the most popular figure in her political party (and some have predicted will defeat handily) then how can John McCain strategize victory against him given that McCain is one of the least popular figures in his?

...the other Boleyn girl? With all proceeds going to charity (Oxfam), Scarlett Johansson is putting a price on her company for one evening. That's right guys, for the right price you could accompany Ms. Johansson to the premiere of her next film debut He's Just Not That Into You! Just be careful to understand that she will NOT be that into you. Though one of the guarantees of the night is a personally hand written note which you win the honor of her "handing" to you. Ok I was able to type most of that with a straight face... my my my we do think highly of ourselves don't we Ms. Scarlett?

cuddly no more Animal rights activists are feeling somewhat vindicated today. When cuddly Knut was rejected by his birth mother two years ago, they argued it would be better to let him die than to raise him by humans. Evidently the polar bear with an attitude has taken to scaring the pants off of three year olds who come to visit. Can a guest spot on LOST be far behind?

Best Actress Marion Cotillard It's really pathetically sad at how we are reminded so often just how disconnected from reality today's leading pop culture icons are from, uh, reality. We LOVED Marion Cotillard in BIG FISH (Ewan McGregor, Albert Finney) we liked her in last years' A GOOD YEAR (Russell Crowe), and the Lovely Bride cheered her on Oscar night... Well that's sure changed now. Cotillard is out pushing a more extreme than average conspiracy theory: "I think we're lied to about a number of things," Cotillard said, singling out the 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center as an example of the US making up horror stories for political ends. Referring to the two passenger jets being flown into the Twin Towers, Cotillard said: "We see other towers of the same kind being hit by planes. Are they burned? They [sic] was a tower, I believe it was in Spain, which burnt for 24 hours. It never collapsed. None of these towers collapsed. And there [in New York], in a few minutes, the whole thing collapsed." She added that the towers, planned in the early Sixties, were an outdated "money-sucker" that would have cost more to modernise than to rebuild altogether, which is why they were destroyed. She said: "It was a money-sucker because they were finished, it seems to me, by 1973, and to re-cable all that, to bring up-to-date all the technology and everything, it was a lot more expensive, that work, than destroying them."
Thusly... no more Cotillard in mi casa...
