I never thought I would hear the words that kissing Scarlett Johansson was "nothing."

My surprise subsided when I realized the bland reaction was from Penelope Cruz. Apparently Penelope kisses Scarlett and on-screen lover Javier Bardem in Woody Allen's upcoming film "Vicky Cristina Barcelona."

Penelope went on to reiterate that Scarlett's famous lips provided a kiss that "wasn't anything special."

But if you don't think it is normal to watch two beautiful women kissing on-screen, Scarlett protests that "it’s just because people are so conservative." I don't think a culture that has Victoria's Secret Fashion shows and "The Girls Next Door" on TV can be called too conservative.

And can someone send the memo to Katy Perry that "She kissed a girl..." but didn't like it?

tempting...

You may tell your friends that you're way too cool to have ever considered it. But everyone KNOWS you'd be lying.

Who HASN'T at least ONCE thought about doing this..?

http://politicaldemotivation.files.wordpress.com/2008/04/obama_kerry.jpg

Do you remember in late 2004 when John "F." Kerry just started promising everything to everyone, and flat out making stuff up? Sorta like he did in Vietnam about "Jen-jis" Kahn? He never seemed to catch on to the fact that groups out there were fact checking the details of his exploits - particularly his more grandiose claims.

Given that - one has to wonder if Obama has swallowed some vitamin "F."

As Jake Tapper is reporting today for ABC, Factcheck.org has fisked Obama's new "McCain had Big Oil give him 2 million dollars" ad, and found - surprise, surprise - its full of make believe.

I was asked about this new ad yesterday on Ed Morrissey's show. Something we all need to keep in mind is that as Obama is promising a "windfall tax" on "Oil Companies," you need to know in advance that he will not accomplish it.

Because you can't tax a company...

A corporation provides a good or service. They charge their customers - in this case the American people (at least those of which who drive) a certain price based upon the cost of what it takes to provide that good or service. This includes all "taxes" from the federal, state, and local governments said corporation is subject to.

The truth is they NEVER pay a tax.

You and I do.

Taxes "on" corporations are merely a line item in their budget that increases the cost to the consumer and always is passed on to the consumer.

SO...

If Senator Obama promises a "windfall tax" on "big oil" - what you need to hear in your mind is that he is PROMISING to raise the cost of a gallon of gasoline from say $4 to something like $6, or $10, or $15.

And we shouldn't have to pay more for our own energy - simply because Obama is an economics flunky... and not even a very sophisticated one at that!

Though I can take some comfort that Obama has at least - NOT "won" three purple hearts...

http://climateprogress.org/wp-content/uploads/2007/09/polar-bear-tongue.jpeg

The Alaskan governor is fighting back against the unprecedented decision to give polar bears rights under the Endangered Species Act. The state of Alaska, spearheaded by Gov. Sarah Palin, is suing Interior Secretary Dirk Kempthorne "seeking to reverse his decision" which gives polar bears protected status based not on current data but on a speculative "foreseeable future" in which the effects of global warming could eke away at the ice in the bears' habitat.

That's like me asking my doctor if I can have amoxicillin because I "foresee" that I may get pneumonia.

These scientific decisions should not be based on "foreseeable futures" and "arbitrary" timelines, especially when these sweeping measures could "cripple offshore oil and gas development."

Save the polar bears, but let's listen to the native Alaskans and use scientific methods to figure out how  to do it.

"Gettin' your money's worth?"

Every parent should know about this website. The fact that they paid for it is unsurprising. The fact that it targets their kids is unacceptable. The only thing that can be done, is to tell Congress to end funding for Planned Parenthood - 202.224.3121.
