Sergio Garcia, an eighteen year old male senior at a Los Angeles high school, decided that he wanted to run for prom QUEEN.
"I will be wearing a suit, but don't be fooled," Garcia said. " Deep down inside, I am a queen!" Garcia, who is openly gay, ran for the title of prom queen, beating out several female classmates. His professionalism in running his campaign surprised his fellow students, making them believe that this was not just a joke or a political statement. “It just shows how open-minded our class is,” said Vanessa Lo, 18, the school’s senior class president. "Open minded" isn't exactly the term I would want to define my graduating class. What does "open minded" even mean? Based on the term it seems like it would imply that one is open to ideas. But what Vanessa Lo seems to insinuate is that open minds are moldable minds that support whatever recent fad or politically correct statement opinion is most popular. Open mindedness should not be coupled with neutrality! One must decide what they believe, develop opinions, and make decisions based on that. And in this specific case, having a man as queen (regardless of the many moral implications) twists the basic cultural definition of "queen" that has been around for millennia and shouldn't be thrown out the window because one man decides he wants a sparkly tiara. This may cause a nationwide evaluation of prom court rules and perhaps a redefinition of who can can run for which title. “I’m not really happy about that. He should’ve run for prom king,” said 17-year-old senior Juan Espinoza. "Espinoza said he has nothing against Garcia but believes many students voted as a joke so they could see the prom king dancing with another guy on prom night."

If you so much as imply that something is environmentally friendly, it tends to become a hot product. You can buy "green" anything these days..."green" clothes, "green" cars, "green" food. But what about "green" comedy? That's what ABC's trying to sell with tonight's premiere of the new animated show: The Goode Family. " The Goode Family is a send-up of a clan of environmentalists who live by the words “What would Al Gore do?” Gerald and Helen Goode want nothing more than to minimize their carbon footprint. They feed their dog, Che, only veggies (much to the pet’s dismay) and Mr. Goode dutifully separates sheets of toilet paper when his wife accidentally buys two-ply. And, of course, the family drives a hybrid." Will you watch it? Do you think it will really make fun of the green movement or, underneath the humor, will there be another message?

On Monday Stephen Baldwin begins his quest to win the hottest show of the summer television season on NBC, "I'm a celebrity, get me outta here!" The celebrities are all playing for different charities, but Stephen and I wanted you to know specifically what he hopes earn thousands of dollars for... the end to sex trafficking. As you can see from the graphic above this condition is impacting the lives of millions of innocent boys and girls every single year. Imagine the trauma that accompanies being a nine year old girl who is forced to begin performing vaginal and oral sex acts on strangers, while being cuffed to a bed railing. The pain, the horror, the absolute terror... And these are the children that Love146 is setting free. They do this with a two-fold strategy, reaching children BEFORE they are taken by traffickers, and also rescuing them and offering them the AFTERCARE resources designed to help them emotionally, mentally, and with physical security. Stephen will be doing all he can in the month of June to win Love146 as much money as he can. But as the news has spread about this, we are PLEASED to announce that we have engaged another unique opportunity for you to join us in setting these captive children free. From now until the end of June (the conclusion of the NBC series "I'm a Celebrity Get Me Outta Here") some very special friends have made it possible for you to assist us, simply by sending a text message to 20222 and entering the word "Give" in the text's body you will make a $5 donation to Love146. Love146 is a certified 501c3 and their 2008 Annual Report can be examined here. Love146 is a passion for us at Xtreme Media and we are praying that many will take advantage of this unique opportunity, and merely a few seconds to help frightened children as they go to bed tonight having to do horrific things, to unkind people, in totally degrading ways. Please stand with us as we stand with them. Text 20222 right now and begin helping these ones who need rescuing. Thank you very much! Stephen Baldwin Kevin McCullough

Nope! This headline should have a lot of people worried today! With the downturn in the economy it is now more urgent than ever previously known that the government get a form of genuine tax relief into the pockets of real WORKERS (not slugs who aren't producing.) In getting taxes lowered REVENUES would go up - as they did under the Kennedy, Reagan, and Bush tax cuts. But this is not the plan for Obama et al. Nope, he's going to raise taxes, which will further put a choke hold on the slugs and workers alike. It's basic Economics 101, but as with many of the issues he's facing in the first term, these complexities are turning out to be "above his paygrade." AND NOW: From that bastion of right-wing extremism... The Washington Post... comes the "National Sales Tax!"

Not! I was at lunch with Ivan, one of our fabulous volunteers at the Xtreme Radio Show talking "automation" systems for the broadcast when we looked up and saw the news coming across the television screen. I immediately Twittered the news to my facebook community, and the reaction started coming in from across the nation shortly thereafter.
Even the TH trolls who daily vent their vain imaginations on my pages, began begging for my response.
California had done the unthinkable... I proffered on this site just last week my severe doubts as to why the California Supreme Court would even take up the case unless it had a below-the-surface reason to throw out the work of the people of that state. California has specific rules for how the Constitution of that state can be altered. The proponents of Prop 8 did so meticulously and in doing so gave the court no real reason to judge the "constitutionality" of the matter. As I wrote last week, I firmly felt that the court even taking the case was akin to putting themselves in a position of authority ABOVE the constitution. In taking on the case they were essentially putting themselves in position to say that their authority outranked the document by which the entire legal system in the state of California is organized, operated, and established. They ruled in the only way they possibly could to save face and not create absolute tyrannical legal chaos and anarchy. For if they HAD taken out the scissors and claimed that a part of the constitution was actually NOT a part of the constitution, they would have in essence destroyed the entire document. Nothing in it would have been safe, and it would have simply become a matter of who had the most guns. (When there is no ruling authority, it always comes down to who has the most guns, and if there is no state constitution, there is no state government, no charters for city or county governments and thereby no law enforcement with legal authority.) The protests in the backlash of today's ruling seem to have been much more quiet than the groups who took delight in knocking little old ladies to the sidewalk, flinging poo on them, and cursing at them as they came and went from their houses of prayer. For the self control of the disappointed activists I do offer my sincere thanks, and congratulations. Now let me explain why one can insist upon the definition of marriage not be changed and still not be a person of hate... Marriage deserves its UNIQUE role amongst sexual unions for three simple reasons: 1. It is a distinct sexual union in that it encompasses the total universe of biological possibility. (Homosexual unions only have half the universe present, and therefore are inherently inferior unions. This does not make the people involved in those unions inferior, merely the unions themselves.) 2. The traditional marital sexual union is also unique in that it is the only possible sexual union by which future generations of our nation's citizens, and the human species, are able to be created. (Eggs & Eggs don't make babies...) 3. The traditional marital union is also vital to the health and stability of the society. Without strong heterosexual marriages, children grow up without ALL of the ingredients they need. Fathers provide specific strengths to the life of an intact family, mothers do as well. Two mothers over emphasizes what is offered in one direction, two fathers in the opposite. Balance for the children of that union is found only in the Father/Mother combination. Healthy families are the building block of a healthy nation, and without man/woman marriage - there is no path to creating a majority society of healthy families. The real problem on the issue of marriage came years before this debate we presently see being argued. The problem was never redefining marriage to include homosexual unions. The problem was the court allowed marriages to be dissolved with no penalty in the first place. "No fault divorce" is a laughable term that has done much to injure the stability of the environments that children are raised in. It was pushed for a generation ago who merely wanted to recreate society according to their likes or dislikes with no concern for how it would impact children, communities, and the future. The activists then insisted that it was provincial and antiquated to suggest that someone's libido be brought into conformity with any objective set of moral norms. To suggest fidelity within marriage, and marriage for a lifetime became the unenlightened viewpoint, and one that increasingly was met with scorn. Those same moral anarchists of that era have given birth to nearly the exact same arguments today for now changing the actual definition of the term marriage. Then they just wanted to get out of it without penalty for being reckless with their behavior, now they desire to destroy the meaning of the term all together for the exact same reasons. Ultimately because marriage is a picture that scripture utilizes to describe Christ's relationship to his followers, the enemy himself has intentions on how to destroy that picture. If Christ (as the perfect groom) says that He will never leave, betray his "bride" (the church), then the enemy scores a great victory in attempting to distort what that picture appears as. Since monogamy, in homosexual relationships is nearly non-existent, then fidelity to that union is something that gets redefined with it. Marriage ultimately is a term that has meant something since the beginning of time. It is a relationship that God created when he took Eve and created her from Adam's rib. It is a symbol of His undying fidelity and purity of commitment to those who name Christ as Lord. It is a vehicle of raising children that gives them the healthiest advantages for all that they will face in life. And it is ALWAYS focused on what is best for the other person, and the children. It was never intended to be about "what I do or do not get" from the government. Civil unions, legal agreements, and equal protections already exist for people who are in non-marital sexual relationships. In California those rights and agreements are far more extensive than in most states. This "Constitutional" exercise was only ultimately about one thing: shutting up people who dare to teach their kids the truth about human sexuality, humanity, and their relationship to their Creator. In every nation where the definition of marriage has been changed, ultimately preachers are thrown in prison for reading from Romans where homosexuality is spoken of negatively. Ultimately the passage of redefined marriage, causes heterosexual couples to have reduced incentives to see marriage as anything important at all, and more couples begin having families without legal contracts protecting children in place. Marriage rates always go down, and numbers of children depending on government help always increases. It is also interesting to point out that in these same nations, there are also no longer prohibitions on incestual unions between brothers and sisters. In fact presently the whole of the European media is making scornful faces at the German government for still having a ban on brother/sister incest in place. The European media doing this reacting to a case in which a brother and sister have fathered four children together... Marriage is distinct, unique, and vital for a society. It has always been the union of a man and a woman. It provides for the best possible environment for children.
And in California... at least for now... it is still a constitutionally protected institution! Praise God!

You will hear much in the days to come about "empathy" and "walking in the shoes of everyday people" and the need for "compassion." The problem is NONE of those qualities make a good judge. Judges are to examine facts, and apply the standards of the written text of the law. They are not law-makers, creators, inventors, and so forth. Liberals have for many years used activist judges to undo the written text of law that was passed by legislatures. The lawful way to change law is through legislative initiatives, not judicial fiat. Guess which kind of Judge Sonia Sotomayor is:

Get your fling on! It seems the activists are ready to exhibit their worst tomorrow even if they win a partial victory. DAY OF DECISION ACTIONS TUESDAY NIGHT!! We have just learned that the California Supreme Court will announce its decision on Proposition 8 Tuesday, May 26th. If it follows past practice, the court will make its announcement at about 10 AM Pacific Time (1 PM, Eastern / 12 noon Central).Depending on what the court decides, we will either PROTEST or CELEBRATEWe will PROTEST if:
-- The court upholds Prop 8, and invalidates the 18,000 same-sex marriage licenses that California already issued;-- The court upholds Prop 8, but upholds the 18,000 same-sex marriages already performed, which would be a cruel, but pyrrhic victory for equality. We will CELEBRATE if:
-- The court rejects Proposition 8 and says that same-sex couples are entitled to the marriage rights that heterosexual couples already have. So call, email, Facebook, Twitter your friends – DAY OF DECISION actions are TUESDAY NIGHT!

Anarchist Perez I was the first pundit in America that told you Barack Obama would be President. I predicted Trump wouldn't fire Carrie Prejean. And I told you Adam Lambert would not be the American Idol... This one I'm not nearly as sure about... I did tell you that I felt the California Supreme Court would likely take up the measure of the "constitutionality" of a Constitutional Amendment. (Something they have no authority to do.) I also have said repeatedly that if they did, expect them to rule against the people of California. (Especially when their own representation in Jerry Brown sides against them as well...) Everyone remembers the feces throwing monkeys that were hitting little old ladies going to church last fall, simply because the radical activists wanted to change the definition of marriage that has stood since the beginning of time. Even when the people of California overwhelmingly TWICE voted for the definition of marriage to remain what it had always been, the tree-dwelling bottom feeders couldn't resist in heaving poo at people who didn't agree with them. Lovely people you've got representing your side Perez. As the news spread today that the Supreme Court will announce its decision on the "constitutionality" of a piece of the Constitution, large groups of the poo-flingers are gathering critical mass to, as one hyperventilating, gender confused, blogger who despises his own Hispanic heritage put it, the radicals will "rally all over the country, regardless of the outcome!" Meaning, if they lose look for mob action and lots of flying poo. These are the least rational, most hyperbolic, overly emotional, drama queens in history. But the people of America need to understand what the court will be saying in ruling on such a matter. For in fact it doesn't matter nearly as much which way the ruling turns out on Tuesday, as it does that the court decided it had a say in the matter to begin with. The Constitution of a nation, company, or church is a sacred document. In our nation nothing is allowed to infringe upon the words--particularly direct words--that state specific ideas, concepts, or legal principles. The Constitution trumps the courts, the legislature, and the executive. But not now, at least not in California... The California Supreme Court has now placed itself, not under the direction of the state constitution, but in sovereignty above it. The California Supreme Court in doing so is willing to literally shred the only authority that the people of California ultimately are sworn to obey. So today the Court believes it has the right to override one part of the Constitution, next week they could believe they have the right to override all of it. And the precedent would already be in place to give themselves permission too. The Constitutional process for the people of California to adjust their own Constitution is arduous. There are specific thresholds that have to be met, every step of the way, in order for an amendment to be ratified and for it to be "constitutional" in its authority over the people. For that very reason the designers of California's constitutional republic specifically prevented the courts from being allowed to change it randomly, especially once the people had spoken. By reaching in their desk drawer, taking out a pair of scissors and deciding to snip out the amendment that defines marriage--yet had been arrived at in a just and appropriate manner, as so defined by that same constitution--the justices are making themselves the most powerful authorities in the state. In addition, and most importantly, they have now completely invalidated ALL constitutional authority in the area of the State of California's jurisdiction. In fact a sound argument could be made that for the court to invalidate the constitutional text, that had been arrived at in a constitutional means, that essentially there is no more governing authority for the state. It is the constitution after all that establishes the rules for the government, the process of taxation, the enforcement of the laws, and protection of the people. In tearing that document up... which they did the moment they undertook the hearing of the case, they have initiated anarchy. The tyrants in black robes will now be using their bully powers to manipulate the residents of California en masse. It is a Constitutional crisis, and one that effects the entire nation.
Even if their ruling on Tuesday reinforces the will of the people (and on that point I'm exceedingly skeptical) the justices of the California Supreme Court should be replaced. They are exceeding their governing authority, and thereby jeopardizing the rule of law for all Californians. Of course that's what The Perez Doughboy wanted from the beginning...

Assisted suicide is a complex topic loaded moral implications and personal opinions. It is an issue I have felt torn over because black and white morality quickly becomes gray when faced with personal stories of suffering. One such story is that of Linda Fleming, a 66-year-old woman with terminal cancer has become the first person to die under Washington state's new assisted suicide law. Ms. Fleming was said to have only a few months to live and the pain was becoming "unbearable." In order to fall under the "Death with Dignity" Law, " two doctors would have to certify that the patient has a terminal condition and six months or less to live. The patient must also make two oral requests, 15 days apart, and make a written request witnessed by two people." The patient must take the medication themselves. Should I be happy for Ms. Fleming that she was able to bypass months of pain by planning and choosing her own death. Should I be appalled that we live in a country where life is seen as worth living only be the quality in which it is lived? Isaac Asimov would have agreed with the latter. He wrote : “No human being would allow an animal to suffer without putting it out of its misery. It is only to human beings that humans beings are so cruel as to allow them to live on in pain, in hopelessness, in living death, without moving a muscle to help them.” On the other hand, the Hippocratic Oath commands doctors to “neither give a deadly drug to anybody who asked for it, nor will I make a suggestion to this effect.” The International Taskforce is staunchly against these kind of laws because there is nothing "to prevent HMOs, managed care companies, doctors or anyone else from suggesting, encouraging, offering, or bringing up assisted suicide with a patient who has not asked about it. Emotional, financial and psychological pressures could become overpowering for depressed or dependent people. If the choice of euthanasia or assisted suicide is considered as good as a decision to receive care, some people will feel guilty for not choosing death” What do you think? Is all life worth living until the very end or is it kinder to allow people the peace of choosing their own death?

Ellen DeGeneres is talking on the phone with American Idol runner up Adam Lambert on her show "Ellen" right now. She gushed: "EVERYONE thought you were going to win!" She recommended that he use only Cover Girl makeup (since she is the current face of Cover Girl). She also predicted that a lot of men will start wearing eyeliner and nail polish in next year's season of American Idol. "You are going to have a huge huge career," she concluded. Despite Ellen's avid (yet not at all unexpected) support of Adam, it turns out the American people didn't support him quite as much. A source from Fox says that Kris won by a significant margin. But not everyone in the gay community backed Adam. Clay Aiken came out (no pun intended) against Adam saying that his performance of "Ring of Fire" almost made his ears bleed and that it "contrived," "awful" and "slightly frightening."So one homosexual supports Adam, one homosexual critiques him, and the American people say "We Want Kris." Should the media move on from Adam and accept Kris as the new Idol or do you think Adam will remain the media darling?
