The mighty Chucky has struck out! Just crossing the wires, Chuck Schumer and those pushing the public option have been voted DOWN in the Senate Finance Committee for the Health Care bill being formulated in that body.
Poor guy...

1 year later... Roughly twelve months ago at Vice-President at Fox News was charged with a novel idea. Mike Straka was given the task of figuring out how garner more web users to FoxNews.com in a way that would hold their attention, keep them interested, and keep them coming back for more. The world of "live streaming" is enormous and there are bazillions of podcasts, online streams, and even some attempted "channels" that are trying to eek out a few more viewers each week. The first real consistent performer in the daily streaming space as best I can tell is our good friend Ed Morrissey from HotAir.com. For it was at least a couple of years before Fox tried the strat room idea that "Captain Ed" was first doing an audio only stream and later morphing it into a full scale daily video show that you can see Monday through Friday at the same time. Straka took the concept one level further. He figured a live show from 9am-6pm EST would give those online an opportunity to check in on the discussion about news, politics, religion, or entertainment pretty much anytime they wished, even if their offices didn't have a television. He had no idea how right he was so in the fall of a busy election year, one that made history, the Strategy Room, went not on the air, but live on the web, and has never looked back. For those not familiar with it, each hour is hosted by a recognizable face from Fox News Channel. Most of whom plan their own topics to hold discussion around and go from there to guests of every political stripe and cultural persuasion. Comics, politicians, nationally syndicated radio voices, and Fox News contributors discuss the pros/cons and in betweens of everything under the sun. Most of my time as part of the Strategy Room has been spent with two different shows. "Breaking News w/ Heather Nauert" in the early days, where I'd sit alongside a panel of people like Thom Ruskin, K.T. McFarland, Father Jonathan Morris, etc.. Heather's friendly ability to take the conversation and weave it between all the different perspectives of the five people at the table kept the pace moving. (Most interesting moment of which was debating the merits of marriage with an MTV model who opposed marriage, but as a lesbian wanted the laws to be changed to allow her to redefine it.) Most recently I was moved as a regular fixture to the "Morning Click" with the always enthused Harris Faulkner. I was paired with Dr. Marc Lamont Hill for a regular slot on "Friday Eve" as Harris loves to refer to Thursdays and though there is hardly anything in public policy I agree with Dr. Hill on, the three of us make for a dynamic discussion each week. And according to the Strategy Room producers, the move well loved, and one of the most watched segments of the week. And we sure generate a lot of that e-mail too... Today the Strategy Room will be packed pillar to post. Every hour will be stuffed with your favorite contributors and Fox personalities and we will do our best to pay tribute to what can only be described as an amazing first year. FoxNews.com had 10,000,000 unique users in August of 2009. Of those, Strategy Room producers tell me that anywhere from 80,000-250,000 will be tuned in at any given time to an hour of the Strategy Room's streamcast. That's MORE viewers than almost any radio station has listening at any given time in the country, upwards of 720,000 per day. It's an amazing accomplishment! Mike Straka, Jordan Chariton, Kevin Tracey and the entire gang that keep it live and Wi-Fi friendly deserve an enormous "Congratulations!" Today at 9am we will attempt just that! CLICK HERE to watch it LIVE. It is one pat on the back that is without question well earned!

"...<fuzzy intercom mic>STAY ON TARGET...<again>STAY ON TARGET" Ok so the President has "evidence" along with France, the United Kingdom and Germany that a country beginning with the letter "I" is developing nuclear technology and that it is in the best interest of the world community for said country to abandon its immediate course of development or face stern consequences. I guess some things never change... But when "Barack Hussein Obama-'mm-mmm-mm'" is the President suddenly nobody questions anything... which is fine. I personally believe that he is 100% right. As I DID and still DO about President Bush. The question now as then is... "What do we do about it?" Ok so Iran was lying to everybody, secretly developing nuclear weapons. They have a reactor being built inside of a freakin' mountain so that a casual assault by fighter jets won't do the trick, so what do we do? I think we should load up ever free unmanned predator aircraft we have, strap on payloads, and start systematically bombing the "wee-wee" out of the mountain and thereby the developing reactor. Level it... Move the mountain a few hundred feet one direction or another and re-order the soil molecules in the process. It's not a populated region. Send 'em in, and git 'er done! At the very least it would prevent them from being 6-18 months away from having a nuclear war head they can put on missiles and hit Jerusalem with. Or London, Paris, Berlin, or DC for that matter...

*Snap... B. Bernice Elementary School! I wrote my immediate reaction to this breaking story yesterday. I was literally still in the Fox News offices when my editor asked me sit down and drop three paragraphs in response. I did 500 words. The issue of the school's response and role in this entire matter is still by far the most troubling element to it. Well America's Newsroom allowed me to hold court again this morning, so I took them up on their offer. Regular Newsroom viewers notice that Alyson Camerotta was in for Megyn Kelly. The reason... Megyn was busy giving birth. Her first child, a son named Edward Yates after his two grandfathers. They are going to call him "Yates." Everyone at Xtreme Media, Townhall, and Baldwin/McCullough Radio wishes Megyn, hubby, and baby well! I'm joining them in about 29 weeks! And YES... I know I totally flunked "Baby Karl's Secret Shout Out!"If you missed it here's how it all went down:

I'm going to be in America's Newsroom on Fox News this morning in the 9:00am hour and I want YOU to watch and see if you can spot "Baby Karl Rove's" secret word of the day. Here's how it works:Baby Karl, the official talent manager/program consultant to Baldwin/McCullough radio will issue a "secret word" to Stevie B or KMC whenever we appear on a "talking head" show. Then KMC or Stevie B is required to use this word in the natural course of conversation during our media appearance. We will announce what the "secret word" is the day of. Here's where you come in: 1. Watch the media appearance LIVE. 2. Then be the first person to respond to the most recent facebook status update from Stevie B or KMC If you are one of the first ten to correctly quote the sentence the word is used in you win a fabulous new Baldwin/McCullough black and red wrist band!
TODAY'S WORD (which KMC will attempt to use on Fox News around 9:00 am this morning) is: AUTOMATON
So go have fun and play!

"Those at the B.Bernice Elementary School in Burlington Township, New Jersey, may be unable to overcome their sycophantic Obama obsessions, but the children of America should not be required to chant his name, raise their hands, and repeat dogma that may not be exactly based in reality."

Are you looking for where you can find Baldwin/McCullough Radio on a station near you? We've got nearly 200 of them to choose from... Check out the "Where to listen" page on our site! Join the live chat room by clicking on "Xtreme TV".
Baldwin and McCullough will have freshly returned from the "Values Voter Summit" in Washington DC earlier today. Perhaps you saw them on CSpan at 2pm Friday afternoon. Mike Huckabee won the straw poll -- BIG, against Mitt and Sarah! And we spent a lot of time with those that were under 25. And oh yes... The VVS attendees had the audacity to tell the press to shut their trap while the speakers were on stage. Several of them getting caught on tape in the process. Your thoughts, observations, and reports welcomed as well. 800.345.9622.
Baldwin and McCullough will also discuss PETA Pam vs. Putin, who is more dangerous? Pam Anderson the has been helped PETA to a new level of (yawn) "shock" to try to get their point across last week with a new ad for TV that had bare butts in it. Then this week President Obama for no apparent reason gave Poland back to Russia, at least that what the Pols think. Agree or Disagree, and if you disagree you go to the front of the line: 800.345.9622.
Maybe we're missing something, you tell us if we are tonight. 800.345.9622. Baldwin/McCullough Resources:

Values Voters LIVE So the whole gang is here in DC. I got in midway through the day yesterday. My co-blogger, Lady Professor Faith Ammen, has arrived. And Baldwin rolled in around 8pm last night. Yesterday I had the chance to give a shout out to the AFR radio family, a good portion of which tunes us in on Saturdays, with Crane Durham, Devin Patrick, and Donn Cobb. This morning I will be with Governor Huckabee, Focus on the Family, American Family Association, and Tony Perkins around 8:30. Then Governor goes to give his speech. At 10am the OReilly Factor has asked if they can interview us. As soon as that's done we sit with the Star Tribune. At 12Noon today we are on the brand new ABC NEWS feature that runs on ABCNews.com from 12-12:15pm. Then at 2pm Baldwin and I take the stage. We are doing something very different, in that our presentation will be tandem, simultaneous speeches, disguised cleverly as a piece of our radio show. That's 2pm EST and will be online in many places, we hope to be able to bring it to you on XtremeTelevision. At 5pm we sign books... Then at 9:30pm tonight - if you are in DC and under 25 years of age, come on over to the Omni Shoreham because we've got a JAMMIN' party going on tonight complete with games, food, music, and more... Baldwin and I will be hosting it and it will be... well let's just say more fun than you what you HAD planned on doing... (and its free...) So that's the run down - we're all over the place today, along with Sarah Palin, Mike Huckabee, Carrie Prejean, Star Parker, Mitt Romney, Mike Pence, Rick Perry, Tim Pawlenty, Bill OReilly, Bill Bennett, John Boehner, and many, many, more... Professor Ammen will be posting throughout the day, and as I mentioned we are going to try to bring you LIVE video coverage of the goings on right here:

Us and several hundred thousands of our good friends! If you weren't at the March on Washington you didn't get to enjoy the tidal wave of energy that every patriot in attendance brought with them. Unlike the crowds that showed up for the Presidential Inaugural the place was left so clean you could eat off the grounds. Unlike the crowds that showed up for the Million Mom march we didn't argue for rights to be taken away from citizens. And unlike the Million Man march non of our goons ended up in Beltway holding cells for the evening. (Not ONE arrest this weekend...) The folks were patriotic, energized, and ready to fight for the rights they have, and not allow an overreaching arm of government officials come in and sweep them away. We had a lot of fun, and we were honored to kick things off... Here's how we did it:
