One week ago as many as 20 14-19 year old kids participated in one of the most shocking crimes imaginable. Enticing a girl just leaving her homecoming dance to a secluded spot on the school grounds, the girl was given a large amount of brandy very quickly, became disoriented and was then the subject of a 2.5 hour assault. Authorities may try some of those involved as adults, one may receive life in prison. Some editorials have said this case merely shows a lack of respect for women. Stephen Baldwin believes it may be a stronger sign of actual demonic activity in our world. What do you believe it to be?  800.345.9622.

PLUS, why is Halloween simply the chance to be slutty? Furthermore why are parents encouraging that in their children? Noah Cyrus (pictured) is the 9 YEAR OLD sister to Miley Cyrus (who was just this week voted as the "worst celebrity influence" by on online poll). This was an actual outfit that she was allowed to wear in public.  Even in the editorial, the author claims that if she dresses slutty, she runs the risk of attracting real creepers. Well, then doesn't this, in part, contribute to problems like the story we discussed in hour one? 800.345.9622

Very simply put Dede Scozzafava is dead... Now a state-wide elected GOP former Governor has turned against the eleven county chairs who forced Scozzafava upon the voters of NY23. With Pataki moving into the camp Hoffman's momentum now gains the most recognizable name in NY GOP politics...

Public Plans, Dictates, and Lies

Do you see where Nancy Pelosi is standing? Do you see the building that she is front of? Do you understand that "We the People" own the property on which she stands? Do you understand that the "plan" she was there to "champion" will be enacted upon the people to whom she answers to?

Does she understand that we are her boss, and not the other way around?

A few facts to remember about Ms. Pelosi's dog and pony display today...

1. The bill she was discussing, lauding, and claiming to be the ultimate solution today was crafted entirely in secret.

2. The "three committees" that she praised for doing the hard work on the bill met in private and excluded any and all Independent or Republican input on the initiative.

3. Pelosi did not even allow "We The People" aka "The Public" to be present at the announcement of her "public plan" today on public grounds at the publicly owned Capitol building grounds where I myself stood on 9.12 and addressed 1.2 million people.

Arrogance personified are the democrats at present. They believe that in proclaiming the emergence of these health care reform measures, that the announcements of these bills drafted in secret will somehow satisfy the issue of transparency.

Her bill is nearly 2000 pages long, requires you and I to fund the public option regardless of whether or not our individual state "opts out" of the public option plan.

She claims it will cost less than $900 billion. Harry Ried says the Senate version will cost more than $2 trillion. Splitting the difference between the two bills will put the price tag at $3,333 per PERSON in the United States. So a family of four will eventually be forced to cough up $13,000 to get the "free" plan, and that's even IF they have health insurance from their employer.

States opting out is a joke because while they can refuse the "benefits" there is nothing in the language that keeps the states from having to "pay into" the plans. And if they "opt out" of the public option plan it is highly likely that the Fed will hold all other state help on health costs, i.e. Medicare or Medicaid, and a dangled carrot to be involved. So long story short, because there is no way the states WON'T opt in.

Meaning, these two bills, as we have been saying all along will lead to the destruction and end of the private sector health insurance industry all together.

But let me add one more tidbit here...

We were told that Cash 4 Clunkers would run the tax-payers a cost of $4500 per transaction. That was the amount of money "We The People" would pay people to turn in their junkers so that we could crush and dispose of them.

But as it turns out, when you subtracted the "sellable" cars that were turned in and would have sold anyway, "We The People" ended up spending $24,000 for each one of the rest of the junkers involved.

So "We The People" were told we were spending $4500 per car, but when it was adjusted we spent $24,000 which is 5.33 times the amount we believed we were spending.

If the government types who were in charge of the financing on that deal are the same ones who will be left watching the amount spent on health care you can safely expect the price tag for "free health care" to be equal to $17,764 PER PERSON of any age (including all illegals, babies, and institutionalized folks.) It will cost the average family of four $71,059 to get the "free public option plan."

And I will be shocked if the price tag came in that low given how the most recent entitlement, the horrific drug option plan put forward by President Bush, has not even come in close to the original cost projections.

A bad deal is a bad deal. The "public option" is not "free health care" as so many moronic Obama-zombie-bots have been brainwashed into thinking.

Health Care costs.

And when it is the federal government providing it, it will literally bankrupt the nation (unless you believe the average family has $70,000 sitting around to give to their type 2 diabetic neighbor so that they can continue to eat sugar and receive forced coverage.)

And when it goes bankrupt, rationing will set in... politics will determine who gets what procedures, and death panels will be making decisions that families should be the ones making.

READ THE BILL people, if they ever let us. And don't allow an over-reaching federal government to drive us into personal and corporate bankruptcy just to scratch a socialist itch that should've been dead YEARS ago!

Alrighty then, the word of the day is "Strategy Room" and Fox has me scheduled to appear at 10am EST as opposed to my normal 9am slot.

Also the Lovely Harris Faulkner continues her rotation with the News Channel so they are rotating hosts around and it looks like I will be paired for the first time with Patti Ann Browne.

You might know her from the news breaks in Glenn Beck's show, or the Strategy Room segments she has hosted with Beck.

Not sure what the topics are scheduled to be, but my guess would be Health Care, Afghanistan, and anything else in the news.

Chat live with us by sending your e-mail along: strategyroom@foxnews.com

Living in the metro NYC area the New Jersey Governor's race is of major interest. The current angst with Washington, coupled with the fact that New Jersey taxpayers are the most taxed voters in the nation has created tremendous unrest among the voters.

Jon Corzine's administration has been abysmal. It's hard to imagine he envisioned this sort of end to his political career when he vacated his U.S. Senate seat only four years ago to step in for the embarrassed state Democrat party.

But few could imagine his term having gone much worse.

When the election will be held Corzine will have overseen the highest unemployment in his state in it's history.

He will have overseen the biggest mass exodus of companies to other locales across the nation due to the punitive regulatory environment in his state.

Corzine et al has refused to protect tax-payers, and proposed billions more in additional spending.

There is even open speculation that Corzine himself enticed the third party candidate to enter the race to attempt to peel Christie's support off and allow Corzine a partisan win, with the brainwashed numbots that will vote for him regardless of anything he has or has not accomplished over the course of his years in power.

More importantly President Obama runs the risk of going 0-3 on election night next Tuesday and New Jersey may be the most important race in the running.

For all these reasons and more I firmly believe that Chris Christie will be elected next Tuesday, but I will be lending all the help I can by appearing with Congresmman Joe "You Lie" Wilson, former gubernatorial candidate Steve Lonnegan, and James O'Keefe (the pimp who brought down ACORN) on behalf of Christie at a major Tea Party in Morristown this coming Sunday.

You are encouraged to be with us 11:30am-2pm. Get the address and directions here.

And if you come to the Tea Party or not, you need to be giving your last $25, $100, or $1000 to the campaign for Chris Christie for NJ Governor.

Interesting stat: "When Christie was being put forward for US Attorney, Corzine voted in favor of him and seconded his nomination... twice."

How far has Corzine fallen: Corzine's lowest point in elected politics, releasing television commercials making fun of Chris Christie's weight.

The circus has to stop: Give and Vote for Chris Christie!

HUCKABEE

Please show me how Public Policy Polling and Rasmussen can both come to the same conclusion unless there is a legit validity to what they are asking about.

I've long lauded the Rasmussen polls as the most accurate. They have more sophistication, better methods, and deeper/more well balanced penetration into the masses.

Last week they had Huck up 29% to Romney at 24% and Palin at 18%.

Tonight PPP puts Huck within the margin of error against OBAMA.

This is the seventh time PPP has taken this poll. It is the seventh straight time Huckabee has polled closest to Obama.

In a brief stop-over into the Ed Morrissey chat room at HotAir today, Duane Patterson and other chatters denounced Huck as irrelevant.

I was the first person to tell you that Huckabee will be the nominee for the GOP and I told it to you months ago. I might add that I was the first person to tell you Obama would be President, predicting that would happen in December of 2006.

Huckabee has done several things right since 2008, and made very few mistakes. His commentary on Fox is the textbook definition of "statesman." His ratings hit on Fox News Channel has made him the most watched cable news show every weekend.

His willingness to bring liberals on his show and debate them sometimes two to four liberals against himself shows tremendous stamina and strength. His sense of humor and his ability to finally brand his positions for himself, (and not through the lens of slime in Camp Romney that distorted his positions, fed them to NRO--who then repeated them without question,) are all playing to his strength. He also didn't implement a mandatory Health Care System in his state that allows for $50 abortions.

I know Hugh Hewitt opposes the Fair Tax message, but it is a less discriminatory tax than the present system. And in opposition to Obama arrogance, Huck's greatest strength--humility will be a winsome combination.

Duane and others all laughed at me when I told them Barack Obama would be President. They are laughing at me again now.

But maybe I know "we the people" a little bit better than they do. And all the signals I see developing point to an anti-tax candidate doing best. Huck is that candidate at present, and he's even better on other dozens of positions he's staked out on his television show.

Keep underestimating him people. Keep believing all the "smart people."

I put my faith in the ability of the American people...

Conservative Rebels...

Thanks to the Tea Party/Town Hall angst in the nation there is a certain new wind blowing in the elections of 2009. It is likely that liberals will be toppled in two Governor's races this year, but another very intriguing story line is playing out in a special election for the Congress in NY23.

In successive days first Sarah Palin and now Dick Armey have both endorsed a non-GOP candidate, standing on principle alone.

The GOP candidate in the race is an absolute nightmare, and there is public speculation that she is considering switching to Democrat in 2010 anyway. Michelle Malkin got the ball rolling, and now even hipster sites like Parcbench are lauding the developments.

The Conservative Party of NYC, a group I've spoken for and worked with many times in recent years has put forward a fantastic option for the voters in the overwhelmingly Republican district to support, Doug Hoffman.

With conservatives stepping up and away from the GOP it will assist GOP candidates in understanding how important it is that they hold traditional conservative positions in light of the grassroots highly energized state.

How the GOP nominated someone for the NY23 seat who embraces abortion, redefining marriage, favors card check, favors massive tax hikes... but still pretends to be a Republican is totally beyond me.

But for better or worse, Palin, Armey, and likely many more will speak to the genuine issue at stake here and that is simply what is the future of GOP politics.

It CAN NOT be found in the moderate, leftist, do everything except what we have always stood for kind of candidate.

The media may not have paid much attention to this race previously, but with Palin and now Armey stepping in, this will become a true test of what the post Obama environment looks like.

"striking resemblance... to what we told them..."

So prominent Obama administration go on television this past weekend, Rahm Emanuel in particular, and claim that Afghanistan and the policy in play there was in such vast disarray by the way the previous administration handed it off to them that Obama's team was "starting from scratch..."

Reasonable people knew that on it's very surface Rahm Emanuel's assertions were absurd. And that even if that had been the case on January 21st, it had nothing to do with Obama's press conference where he announced in March the specific strategy moving forward.

Emanuel said it, knew it was untrue, and hoped like heck it would convince the American people that President Obama should delay even further on assisting our troops in their mission in Afghanistan/Pakistan going after the Al Qaeda and Taliban forces in that region.

Emanuel must have thought that he could've gotten away with such fanciful, imaginative lying, and that no one would be the wiser.

THANK GOD for Vice President Cheney who was able to confirm what most decent, thinking, and informed Americans already knew instinctively... Emanuel's a total donkey!

Cheney in fact at a speech in Washington last night was able to confirm that President Bush's team (as every outgoing administration SHOULD do) prepped a complete review last fall during the transitional period of the current policy and plan in Afghanistan. They did so with private conferencing of Obama officials and informing them of the results of the review and their recommendations of the strategies there. As a result, the incoming Obama team requested that Bush et al NOT make public the recommendation of the review.

The Bush team played ball, and kept the findings quiet.

Then in March after Obama claimed a complete review of Afghanistan had been conducted, he announced his intention to move forward with nearly identical recommendations to what the Bush team had come up with.

One official calling it a "cut and paste" job from the Bush findings.

Even so, NONE of this has ANY bearing on why President NobelOlympicFundRaiser has STILL not yet come to a decision on his OWN policy in Afghanistan.

Rahm Emanuel is a lying snake, Obama's cabinet seems to be full of them.

And on the specific point of Afghanistan at least we have confirmation of it...

Drop-out...

Venturing into further historical territory, President Obama is flaming to year's end as fast as he possibly can. Record unemployment in 23 years, lying about Afghanistan to the American people & not being able to make up his mind, $13,000,000,000,000 (trillion) national debt, the Health Care debacle, stagnant legislative movement on cap & trade, Gitmo is still open, we're still in Iraq, Iran is brewing uranium to new levels... He confused getting the Olympics with a "state-level priority," and he won the Nobel (STOP LAUGHING) peace prize.

Oh yes, he also sided with dictators against democracy in Honduras.

He sided with Russia and against our ally in Poland.

And he's kicked Israel in the shins at every opportunity.

Now he's got his hacks denying talk show hosts the right to engage in free enterprise. And he's targeting the opposing media voices who are actually telling people the truth about the condition of his administration...

Perhaps that's just some of the explanation as to how he is in record territory on his drop in approval:

Dude... trailing CARTER?

And of course being 25% behind President Bush will send the left loopy...

But the tale of the tape IS what it IS...

And I pretty much called it, weeks ago...

Hope?

Rasmussen Reports... the most accurate polling organization in every election cycle since 2000 has released the latest round of it's passion index for President Obama.

"Strongly Approve/Strongly Disapprove" is what it measures.

27% strongly approve of the President's job performance to date. 40% strongly disapprove.

His overall approval numbers remain inverted as well: 47% approve, 53% disapprove.

Remember, I told you that his administration was in trouble only a few weeks ago. People are becoming aware and expressing their thoughts on his job performance, and trying to topple Rush Limbaugh and Fox News only plays into the narrative that when the administration grows desperate that it will resort to tighter control.

2012

I look forward to the 2012 election cycle. I've been writing about it since November of last year.

I've defended the three top names in the GOP field each against scurrilous attacks from the media that seeks to demonize anything non-Obama. And within the Republican ranks the dirt is already flying.

For Sarah Palin the mud slinging against her never really stopped. Between McCain camp operatives that should be booted from the GOP and not welcomed back, the pervy antics of pervy David Letterman, all the way to opportunistic ex-boyfriends of her daughter who is prostituting himself for ten more seconds of fame, Palin has endured lie after lie, attack after attack, and has done so with grace. I have defended her against other conservatives who said she did the wrong thing in stepping down from office. Practically speaking there is NO WAY that she could run a "lower 48" campaign for President, raise the money necessary, attend events, and be where she needs to be--while governing Alaska. Her resignation allows her successor plenty of time to stand strongly for reelection in her state.

Romney's conversion to conservatism in the last election was strongly questioned. But his continual laying out of his policy positions and his fervor with which he committed himself to those positions, particularly at places like Values Voter Summit demonstrated, in my mind a clear demarcation of accountability that he was willing to be measured. His critics like Sandy Rios and Gregg Jackson continued to openly question his commitment to his pro-life, pro-marriage positions, long after his elimination from contention in 2008. Jackson et al going so far as to continue to spam with unwanted e-mail a large number of conservative "prominents" nearly once weekly until McCain had named Palin as his running mate. I personally interviewed the Governor multiple times, had in depth discussions openly, it is my personal opinion that the Governor was then and has been since, deeply committed to his conservative principles.

Governor Huckabee though has, as I've already stated multiple times in print, positioned himself as the absolute front-runner for the nomination in 2012. In securing his weekly gig with Fox News Channel, the highest rated cable weekend show of all the news networks, he has established for himself a brand, messaging platform, and a wide variety of issue related subjects that will be nearly impossible for his opponents to attempt to steal from him in 2012. (Which is exactly what Romney's people--not the governor personally--attempted to do in 2008.) A dozen or so Romney-related PAC's ran a covert slime operation so sinister against Huckabee in 2008 that it literally poisoned the well. The National Review ran with the plan, albeit unknowingly I believe, and assisted the mega-phoning of the distortions of Huckabee's positions in ways that defy credulity. As a result Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, and Peggy Noonan were all highly influenced by the Romney-staffer malfeasance and repeated these distortions and in some places lies about Huckabee. Again I believe that Rush, Ann, and Peggy depended highly upon the credibility of NRO in repeating the distortions. The National Review also never ran a negative story on Romney, and repeatedly ran pieces distorting Huck's record and even his campaign positions. It was to no surprise that NRO ended up endorsing Romney.

So what does all of this have to do with my friend Matt Lewis?

To be candid, his current piece in politicsdaily sounds as though he's still drinking the National Review cool-aid from 2008. And to be gut level honest, he's grossly mistaken, because the entire landscape has changed.

In today's well written piece Lewis asserts that Palin would be heart-choice, while Romney would be the brain-choice for conservatives in 2012. He discounts Huckabee without explanation. He tries to do all this on some assertions from historical patterns.

Towards the end of his piece he makes another assertion that no "Reagan" is waiting in the wings for 2012.

I love Matt Lewis, he is a humble, genuine, good-natured guy. He's also one of the nicest guys in an increasingly rancorous and ugly punditry business. I have loved his insights from the first time I read him.

But on all of the above he could not be more mistaken.

Huckabee IS the Reagan in waiting. He's the most humble of the three Governors. He has the ability to take a room filled with tension and dissolve it with laughter. He has the best brand emerging into the narrative of the post 2008 election cycle. And he has the ability to cross all kinds of typical, narrow, sliver-like divisions and bring new people into the conservative fold.

Most underrated is his ability to think on his feet, and to speak clearly, plainly and very simply, yet with clearly conservative positions that advance the idea of limited government, strong national defense, personal responsibility/reward, and most importantly he will have the strong, overwhelming support of the base of the party that was so detestable to McCain.

His humility will shine like a spring of fresh water against the desert of Obama's arrogance. His message of ending the federal government's ability to bully you with the IRS will be in direct contrast to Obama's use of all political office elements to hurt his political opponents.
He will also have 2-3 years worth of "debates" on tape dealing with all sorts of messy political issues from his shows on Fox, where he is currently inviting 2-3 liberals per time to come on and debate the merits of his positions on issues. He had already won the vast majority of the Republican debates in 2008, but this sort of weekly interaction is only making him even BETTER as a public communicator.

And ultimately THAT is his biggest similarity to Reagan. Both were Governors, both used media to advance their message, ideas, and solutions following a failed primary in which both finished in second place. Both had the ability to reach people that had been turned off by the internal warring of partisan affairs. Both have the ability to see and project an image of America at her very best.

Additionally Matt is wrong, because the points I'm making are actually taking hold. Rasmussen's latest numbers put Huckabee in first place among the three all by himself. His negatives are also extremely low by comparison to Palin in the same poll.

I was the first pundit to predict Obama would be president, and at that time I was very lonely in doing so. No one believed that it would happen.

I have been the first longest and loudest that those who underestimate Huckabee are vastly missing the feelings of the grassroots.

And because of Obama's wrongs against "We The People" 2012 will be a more engaged, energized, and informed group than has voted for the GOP in a while.

In doing so they will look for inspiration, humility, specific solutions, and the experience at the executive position to make it happen.

And in the collapse of Romney's "greatest achievement" in state mandated health insurance reform that still allowed for public assistance and $50 abortions in his state, let's just say that people are going to be reading more of the fine print than the headlines this go around.

And Huck will be one that increasingly people will feel confidence in, by doing so.
