So if his white mother, who had been knocked up by his African father had gone through this post 1973... well let's just say it does make one wonder if his own "burden" of his presence to her would've allowed him to become "44."

Two more reasons...

In the on-going series of broken campaign promises... er, eh, "adjustment of expectations," it has become even more unlikely that President Obama will be closing the base at Gitmo anytime soon.

After running on the campaign promise of immediate closure by executive order, he has instead issued an executive order that gives himself permission to close it at a time and place of his choosing, likely somewhere near a year or two down the road if he so deems it necessary.

The problem is Gitmo alumni are turning into Al Qaeda All-Stars. Witness tweedle Abu and Abu at the top of this post. These two are among the higher than 10% of Gitmo tennants who get out and return to plotting to kill Americans.

And the Obama Pentagon spokespeeps can only say, "We remain concerned about ex-Guantanamo detainees who have re-affiliated with terrorist organizations after their departure."

Hey, isn't that great? Open up a bag of marshmellows and make smores.

Hey, here's an idea. Let keep the cockroaches in the hole we have them in--until Al Qaeda confesses defeat. This expediant rush to get them all out is embarrassingly foolish and dangerous.

And because Obama can't seem to find a place to put the REALLY dangerous sub-humans that we are still holding there, it appears all the loopholes he's given himself in his executive non-order last week might just save American lives. Though that has always run second place in the minds of liberals, democrats, and progressives, when they would much rather be protesting the "constitutional rights" of those who would take them.

Refueling the racism...and the killing of the innocent!

So when does someone get to point out the honest truth that voting someone purely on the basis of their race, is as racist as voting against someone for the same reason?

Just asking yo...

Oh, and did you hear, we have an African American in the White House now, one who parts the oceans, and makes unicorns fly (and excrete rainbows), and will bring world peace with the wave of his palm, and cause all bad guys to engage in conversations that will almost immediately cause them to surrender their evil intent...

While First Lady Obama doesn't seem to mind posing for Vanity Fair and letting her husband be Versace's latest inspiration, she apparently draws the line at dolls named after her daughters. The new "Sweet Sasha" and "Marvelous Malia" dolls have been created the company that makes Beanie Babies. Mrs. Obama made it very clear that she thought it was "innappropriate" to use the girls' popularity to sell toys.

Do you agree? As the First Daughters, is it really unfair to make dolls that are named after them? Is it exploitation or merely the price that comes with having an iconic father who had more Hollywood celebrities at his inauguartion than at Golden Globes?

Isn't it interesting to see what condition the "environmentally-sensitive" Obama sycophants left Washington, DC after their inaugural Woodstock? I read an estimate of litter to be at 130 tons.

My sister was in DC the day after the inauguration and was appalled by the amount of trash and water bottles strewn all over the mall.

Why are the Green Obama supporters the ones who spread the most trash? Why do we not see the same thing happen when pro-life groups march through DC? Why, after one million men attended a Promise Keepers event on the mall, was the area left so spotless you could have a garden tea party?

1. My "Black President" - racial utopia, or just plain race warfare?:

http://5starhiphop.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/07/jay-z-jeezy.jpg
Livin'... "the Dream?"

In Hour One... Last Monday 69% of African Americans told CNN in a poll prior to the inauguration that "The Dream" has been fulfilled. (**Content Warning**) So this is how two of the icons in African American culture celebrate?(**Content Warning**) President Obama also announced this week his agenda to attack the family, and the values of families. And finally, would you believe you could likely be safer in a car accident than in your mother's womb? President Obama--Christian--making the kinds of strides to bring America together... right? 800.345.9622 your calls welcomed.

Resource: The Kind of Man Every Man Should Be. (Brand new title on "Manhood")

2. The Oscar goes to... inside the Actor's (Stevie B) studio:

Sean PennHeath Ledger
To read or wrestle...

In Hour Two...  Claiming there is no single greater force on influencing the culture than Hollywood films, Baldwin tees off on the Oscar nominations. He's made 60 of them so I'll let him drive the point home. Claiming the Hollywood elite are setting the tone for the culture he asks intriguing questions. And now honoring the films that have been nominated Baldwin believes they are glorifying the worst elements our society could be at this point. Worse yet in being nominated for Oscars many will go see these films, completely unawares of what they are walking in to. Agree/Disagree - and if you disagree you get to go to the front of the line... 800.345.9622.

Bonus topics: Should wives have "guy-friends?" PLUS: Did you know they are now selling flasks (for liquor expressly) to 12 year old girls?

Barack Obama greets some White House correspondents.
Open and Transparent?

In his first impromptu visit, to a White House Press Corps that did nearly 0 negative stories on him during the campaign, things didn't go so swimmingly.

Asked how he could claim zero tolerance on lobbyists in his administration and simultaneously appoint William J. Lynn III who was a lobbyist for Raytheon. Mr. President got testy...
"Ahh, see," he said, "I came down here to visit. See this is what happens. I can't end up visiting with you guys and shaking hands if I'm going to get grilled every time I come down here."
And then a reporter from the Politico (hardly a right wing conservative outlet) asked another legitimate question as a follow up. The President took the reporter's arm and glared at him and added...
"Alright, come on" he said, with obvious irritation in his voice. "We will be having a press conference at which time you can feel free to [ask] questions. Right now, I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself to you guys - that's all I was trying to do."
I recall under the Clinton days that President Billary booted out anyone who dared to give the administration a difficult time.

I'm just wondering how long it will take for Obama to institute that tactic.

4... 5... more days?

That didn't take long...

The Official Obama administration website has published the new President's homosexual agenda. And for all the centrist moves he had made on national security, economic policy and the like, the raving lunatic leftist in him is beginning to show... on only day 2.

Here's the highlights:
- Expansion of hate crimes: It needs to be understood that our legal code judges behavior not thoughts. And while hate crimes have been around for some time they are completely unnecessary. If hate in someone's heart produces a criminal act the act itself is punishable by law. With the emergence of hate crimes what we have is someone attempting to decide the thoughts of a person. As it is applied to the homosexual issue specifically the activists who engage in homosexual behavior have only one goal: to shut down any voices that are in disagreement with homosexual behavior. Their primary target in "expanding" hate crimes, is to literally shut off the practice of free speech, and free exercise of faith. Obama's first plank in his LBGT agenda is to expand hate crimes, and thus target men and women of faith. (Interestingly enough Mr. Obama has NO evangelical Christians in his cabinet, after supposedly campaigning as one...)
- Pushing ENDA legislation: The "Employment Non-Discrimination Act" sounds good by its title. But in its substance it is designed to force even faith based institutions to retain active homosexuals on the employment rolls of organizations, corporations, etc. This would mean that a church would not be able to dismiss a pastoral member caught in what their own doctrine would state as sin. This would mean that you could not disqualify an active homosexual from being considered for employment as the church's youth pastor.
- Opposes any ban on redefined marriage: President Obama must have been lying through his teeth as he campaigned for President because he told an awful lot of evangelicals that he opposes redefining the institution of marriage to include other creative sexual unions. But now - his official policy seems to state the exact opposite. He thusly now opposes the people who oppose changing the definition of marriage. If you are a believer, and you believed him when he campaigned - consider yourself a victim of his bait and switch.
- Repeal "Don't Ask, Don't Tell": President Obama will lose the good will of the American service men and women who are presently serving for making this his policy. Gay and Straight. Having had this conversation with military men and women for some time, I can assure you the military members have no desire to see or have to deal with the issue of sexual harrassment in the baracks. This is why we do not house men and women in the same quarters. Encouraging flamboyant display of sexual tendencies in the living quarters would likely lead to an increase of unwanted advances, and likewise unwanted assault. This is a really dumb idea, and the President is foolish to move forward with it.
- Get more kids in homosexual homes: The social data is replete with how bad an idea this is. But the truth is, homosexual couples need adoption in order to make their "families" "look" "normal." And if they are to be successful in indoctrinating the next generation so as to believe that two men are just as sexually whole as a man and a woman then they will need to "re-educate" them from an early age. An education that all too often would be far too graphic, and completely inappropriate. And in heterosexual households would be considered harrassment or molestation.

I told the readers of this blog two days ago that I would wait to criticize the President until we knew details of his policies.

Well surprise--we made it all of 48 hours...

Top Talkin' Love

Next week the bible for the talk radio industry publishes its "Heavy Hundred" line-up. Baldwin/McCullough was not on-the-air early enough in 2008 to really qualify for rankings but that may soon change.

A very inquisitive supporter of XTREME Radio with Stephen Baldwin & Kevin McCullough brought some of the following to our attention earlier this afternoon.

The most current listings for the following Conservative and or Christian talk radio products rank like this...

Heavy100/Personality/Affiliates
1. Rush Limbaugh -- 439 stations
2. Sean Hannity -- 396 stations
5. Glenn Beck -- 302 stations
11. Bill O'Reilly - 269 stations
3. Michael Savage -- 245 stations
6. Laura Ingraham - 199 stations
25. Bill Bennett - 196 stations
20. Michael Medved - 186 stations
8. Mike Gallagher - 175 stations
10. Neal Boortz - 168 stations
**. Baldwin/McCullough XTREME Radio - 162 stations
**. Kerby Andersen/Carmen Pate - 155 stations
45. Dennis Miller - 154 stations
**. Richard Land - 154 stations
15. Mark Levin - 153 stations
61. Janet Parshall - 143 stations
65. Hugh Hewitt - 142 stations
**. Greg Wheatley - 140 stations
24. Jerry Doyle - 135 stations
27. Lars Larson - 130 stations
35. Dennis Prager - 133 stations
**. Midday Connection - 118 stations
**. Al Mohler - 60 stations
**. Chris Fabry - 48 stations

At our present affiliate count Baldwin/McCullough radio would rank 11th on that list with 162 affiliates. Another 8 stations might be added as early as this weekend.

To say we are humbled and grateful, wouldn't even begin to describe it!

THANK YOU!

I've been performing on the stage since I was four years old and have loved and memorized many of the musicals that have been created over the last century....

But the new Obama musical may be an exception...

According to Playbill.com, an Obama musical WILL debut in the UK this March. "Celebrating the election and inauguration of America's first black president, Obama On My Mind takes a humorous look at the weird and wonderful world behind the scenes of a small Obama campaign office and the larger than life characters who make the wheels turn, the cogs whirr and bring in the votes. Pop, gospel, jazz and soft rock come together in a politically inspired romp featuring over 11 loyal, obsessive and downright peculiar personalities, striving to get their man into the White House."

I'm pretty sure I've already found the opening number...

A good thing...

"The day, and the turnout, will be remembered more than the substance."

That quote I believe can properly be attributed to Brit Hume from earlier tonight on one of the many continuous hours of non-stop cable news coverage. If it is from someone else... my apologies.

But it is accurate.

Nearly everything about today is symbolic, filled with expectation, and largely emotional. No one can fight it, and those who would even attempt would be foolish to try.

For me the day began in Salt Lake City, Utah where in my hotel room this morning I watched the early reports live from the mall as the discussion began to be about the need to shut down access for the people to come and see their next President take his oath.

As my blogging has personally been on a bit of a sabbatical in terms of criticisms towards the incoming President, I felt strongly that once the nation had spoken with definitive (though not landslide) voice, the man deserves a chance to begin his administration and stewardship of our nation and to be judged by his merits based on his decisions and his policies.

I did take the liberty to do a number of status updates on my facebook/twitter status that poked significant fun at the crazed, irrational, and hyperbolic superlatives that were used to praise a man, who is still largely untested, and unproven.

Ironically those are the very reasons I've observed my somewhat self-imposed embargo. Someone who is untested and unproven may in fact be a strong leader. His ideas and approaches to solving the problems and challenges that we face as a nation may be the right answers. Simply because he is untested and unproven does not mean he is disqualified.

And there are a couple of things I actually do really like about the image of who this man is. (Keeping in mind that I was the first pundit to predict that this day would occur, and also strongly hoping it in fact would not come true I am trying to give you context.)

1. The Obama family. The picture of the intact black family occupying the White House is a picture that is long overdue. Since emancipation there were African Americans who served at the highest levels of government for both parties. In the Bush administration more African Americans were in cabinet positions than any in history. (There were even more than the current nominees of the Obama administration to date.) But given the fact that the majority of what is portrayed as the black family experience in America is distorted by images of gangs, rappers, hip-hop, and all that goes with it, an intact husband, wife, and children is an image that needs to be championed more--especially for black America.

2. His pragmatism. One of the additional reasons I am somewhat hopeful that Obama may not be the hardened leftist he had been up until this election is that as soon as he was elected he abandoned some of the biggest problematic policy positions. Particularly he changed his approach and view on the global war on terror. I don't know what happened from November 2 to November 3rd, but it seems that once he began to receive his daily national security briefings ALL discussion of immediate Iraq withdrawal, and bringing all the troops home from the war on terror evaporated completely. In addition, his decision to keep Petraeus at CentCom, Bush appointee at Secretary of Defense Mr. Gates at the Pentagon, and to keep the Iraq liberation and surge in motion, tells us that he is willing to move away from the extremist elements on the left when it really is on the line.

3. His invocation choice. Rick Warren who has carried a lot of controversy with him for standing up for the protection of marriage in the state of California, prayed (some would call surprising) a prayer packed with substance. Even ending it with the name of Jesus in several different languages. Obama's easy political decision could have been to pull him off the program and put someone else in the slot who was not such a lightening rod of controversy. But he chose to stand by the choice of Warren, and allowed Warren to be as articulate to the issue as he wished.

If there is an honest critical confession to be had about Obama's election, transition, and swearing in it is this.

Those of you who have bought into the hype of Obama being the second coming of The Christ have been set up for massive disappointment. In a lot of ways history made it possible for Obama to succeed on this point almost by chance. The soaring rhetoric of the campaign came with little detail and even less transparency. Talking about Hope and Change today is easy, but tomorrow morning he faces the issues of those who wish to kill us, an economy that needs energizing--not bailing out, and the intimidation that his far left supporters will begin exerting against him immediately.

His record is not one that gives me any reason that he will succeed. He's just not had much success on any of the elected office levels that he has held in the past. I mean he was only in office for something like 180 days before making his decision to abandon the U.S. Senate.

The time to talk about better days is waning. The time to blame the previous administration has run out. At 7am tomorrow President Bush will be bringing Laura a cup of coffee. Tomorrow at 7am in Washington DC President Obama will be told of grave threats, face still unconfirmed cabinet officials, need to wrestle with even his own partisan leaders in the Congress to begin to get some policy ideas rolling.

Tomorrow his rhetoric begins to be measured by his actions.

But in fairness, he's earned the right to put his unproven, and untested ideas into play.

So for the moment of historical significance that this day represents, it will fade quick and we will all have our perceptions impacted and likely changed based on the substance that we have yet had the chance to see.

That is the REAL drama of America's peaceful transfer of power, and one that has been historic to observe... every time it has happened.

It's been interesting to follow the story of Natalie Dylan, the girl who originally put her virginity on the market and is now offering to rescind the offer in favor of a higher bid which will allow the money to help stop child-sex trafficking. Any of you who follow the ramblings of Kevin, Michele, and I know this already but I wanted to add my thoughts.

I look at this situation from two perspectives...one as a woman and one as someone who has friends who still have college loans to pay off (and can therefore sympathize with Natalie's goal of having money to pay for grad school!)  As much as we would like to condemn Natalie for making a personal decision that most people would see as immoral or ridiculous, is she really the one to blame?

Natalie and I both live in a society that values sex over love...a society that promotes promiscuity and pornography. Is Natalie not making a genuine stand to show the world that virginity is something to be prized? I don't agree that putting her body up for sale is the best way to portray this position but it does show that virginity is not a superfluous asset.

Beyond that, is Natalie's situation not merely a product of her environment? Does this scenario not scream the consequences of having a generation of emasculated men? Does this not blatantly show the effects of men not showing women that they are valued?

So, before you cast the first stone of condemnation...see if you're being the kind of man every man should be to the women in your life...

H.

On this day for the past administrations, at least the ones I can remember when they walked out to the introduction as they were being announced at their ceremonies went like this...

"Ronald Wilson Reagan"

"George Herbert Walker Bush"

"William Jefferson Clinton"

"George Walker Bush"

and today...

"Barack 'H.' Obama"

hmm... something within me feels so robbed...

LOOK OUT HUGH!

100,000 watts of FM power vs. 20,000 watts of AM bounce. Tonight I go head to head against my old friend (and Senior Editor of Townhall) Hugh Hewitt in the City of Angels... (For the publicly educated--that's Los Angeles.)

Ok gang we're back at the talk radio gigging again tonight 4-7pm PST, (7-10pm EST), and if you're of like mind please join us by clicking here.

I enjoy the FM talk audience of Los Angeles because to me it's younger, far more hip, and such a larger universe of listeners. I don't have a law degree, so you don't need someone to interpret what we're talking about.

But I am passionate about making you think so here's what I want to hit tonight/this afternoon in market 2:
I don't know what Hugh has cooking... take that back, I do. My Monday buddy on HotAir, Ed Morrissey is joining him. But I'm not going down without a fight!
