"Um about all those promises..." (Slap my face... color me surprised, nay shocked...) “I want to be realistic here, not everything that we talked about during the campaign are we going to be able to do on the pace we had hoped,” Obama said in an interview on ABC’s “This Week” program broadcast this morning. “Everybody’s going to have to give.”
I was the first pundit to tell you he would be president. I was also the first pundit to tell you he'd break hearts. At least he's owning up to it early...

First up... LOTS OF THANKS for making us the FASTEST GROWING TALK SHOW IN AMERICA. In 25 weeks on-air, we have hit 162 stations. Without your interest, loyalty, and word of mouth, it never would have happened. THANK YOU! And this week we welcome American Family Radio Network to the 'XTREME' Radio fun. Tim Wildman, Jim Stanley and the other great folks at AFR have just launched a brand new talk format on many of their stations that is relevant, reliable, and real. This week they seek to offer their Saturday night listeners, particularly the radical peeps, (who are looking to be society-changers) an outlet to solve the moral dilemmas of the day. We are honored to join in this partnership and we look forward to the millions of listeners that AFR reaches each week to joining the cause for XTREME impact via XTREME radio! WE'RE HIRING for 2009: If you live in the specified areas and you're an inventive, creative, sales, marketing, and promotional guru--we want you for our 2009 team for some major market metro areas. VP of Local Markets for NYC, Dallas, Los Angeles, Washington DC and Chicago: Terrific compensation, awesome commission, and the flexibility to work from your favorite place of all--wherever you want. Resume and references e-mail here. Here's just SOME of what we're hitting this Saturday night:
1. Hollywood's HATERS press on: In Hour One... Anne Hathaway, star of the new movie " Bride Wars", and who just picked up a Critics Choice Award for a dreadful film "Rachel Getting Married" is planning on protesting her newly-elected President's Inauguration for his choice of person who will offer the invocation--Rick Warren. Her choices, a) not go to the event, b) stand and turn their back on Warren--while HE PRAYS, and c) wear a ribbon in protest. You'll never guess what she picked. But here's the thing, what is it about what Rick Warren will say, or be, that causes someone who claims to believe in tolerance to be--in a word--rude? Are liberal actresses in Hollywood unable to be tolerant of people who they disagree with? 800.345.9622 your calls welcomed. Resources: The Death and Life of Gabriel Phillips (Stephen's BRAND NEW novel) The Unusual Suspect: My Calling to the new Hardcore Movement of Faith. 2. Deception in Travolta Death?:

In Hour Two... Zenu, Scientology, Christian Science, Buddhism, Christianity, and several other forms of "faith" to some degree or another ask you to "trust" or "believe" when it comes to the issues of health, medicine, and physical welfare. We now KNOW that the early reports from the Travolta death that were passed off as true, were in fact false. Jett Travolta never hit his head. He had a seizure from a medical condition that many doubted and wondered if he should have been receiving treatment for. But its not just relegated to the Scientology weirdos like Cruise and Travolta, there are church going Christians who will tell you that if you're sick, its because you're not trusting God enough. So how do you balance, faith and the practice of medicine? Can you be a person of faith AND a person of science? Agree/Disagree - and if you disagree you get to go to the front of the line... 800.345.9622. Making it all happen...
WANT THE HOTTEST, LATEST, COOLEST 'Xtreme' Radio S.W.A.G.?
If you would like to have a station near you carry the broadcast please have that station contact - Bryan Brown - bbrown@wtru.com or call 336/480-2038.

I am continually fascinated and interested in issues that sit at the crossroads of both moral choices and technology advancements. I can't help but be fascinated with how the two issues converge at the intersection of the music and movie industries. Of course, as everyone knows, a serious problem has persisted now for more than a decade: some tech-savvy young people have wrongly stolen intellectual property (digital music and movies) -- while the music and movie industries are complicit for having failed to embrace making available the products consumers yearn for. An editorial in today's New York Times gives us hope that a solution may soon be reached. Apple has finally decided that it might be a good idea to allow people who "own" a digital song to actually copy it. (gasp, shock, cough, gasp) This is a win/win, because music lovers -- who want to take advantage of this feature -- will pay an additional price. Unfortunately, while the music industry is finally catching on, the movie industry -- which has been slumping for years now -- refuses to see the light. A software known as RealDVD would allow movie lovers to make personal copies of their movies (just as in the old days, VCR owners could make copies of VHS tapes). Sadly, as RedState reported recently Hollywood is predictably acting like a dinosaur, and fighting this tooth and nail. Losers...

Kevin may get mad at me but I must say... how can you not love listening to Obama? He takes a boring, depressing, and aloofly intellectual topic like the economy and transforms it into poetry. I practically wanted to put entire sections of his speech into my quote book (we cannot rely "on the worn-out dogmas of the past"....his "plan recognizes both the paradox and the promise of this moment" He's shattering the Eloquence Meter!! It's like his campaign speeches on steroids! )But then I start to realize that what Obama SAYS is not what he plans to DO. Today's example: Towards the end of economic speech Obama says "the time has come to build a 21st century economy in which hard work and responsibility are once again rewarded"...Obviously I would usually give a hearty "Amen" to this statement yet I realized that Obama was lying through his teeth because his economic plan says the exact opposite. His suggested "tax cuts" come in the form of welfare checks rather than providing relief to individuals and businesses that can stimulate and invest in the economy. When Reagan came into office, taxes for the wealthy were set at a nauseating 70%. Did this give the government a bigger influx of funds? Absolutely not. Reagan reduced taxes by 2/3 for the highest brackets which in turn doubled government revenue. Our economy will not respond to a government elixir. It will respond to the American people where they are given the freedom and opportunity to spend their money in their economy. Has Obama really so quickly forgotten the lessons from Joe the Plumber? Does he not remember that we realize that he is promoting the redistribution of wealth and thinly veiled socialism? No matter how beautiful his speeches are, the words soon fade into a saccharin haze of unbelievability. But at least I'll enjoy listening to all presidential addresses for the next four years...

...and I've got one or two things to say about change! One rule to always remember about liberal-speak: When they run around talking about being more "even-handed with Israel" it only means one thing, "Asking Israel to be less aggressive in defending herself." If the substance of this article turns out to be true, then it looks like Obama may finally be ready to keep one of his campaign promises. The one where he sits down with a terror organization without pre-condition. For those who are confused about this matter Hamas is a terror organization that has posted its desires to eliminate Israel from the face of the earth--even online. They are bankrolled by Iran, and they have no desire to live peacefully with Israel. (Hence the thousands of missiles they've been shooting into Israel for the better part of the last two years.) "Opening a channel" to pigs like Hamas does nothing in the Islamic conflict except communicate to them that the U.S. is only ready to sit down and talk. These are not human beings were are dealing with they are Islamofreaks who believe the 12th Imam is on his way. They view their responsibility in this matter as the ones who must prepare that way. And one of the issues in doing so is eliminating the nation of Israel completely. (Hence why Ahmedinijhad repeatedly talks about doing so.) By the way... they believe that anyone who stands with Israel is the same foul beast they view Israel as. So long story short... Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran, and other Shihite muslims will continue to threaten Israel, attack Israel, and attempt to wipe Israel off the map. Obama will "respond" by giving a speech and saying something about how we need to communicate with all involved (regardless of who actually started it) and tell them all to play nicely with each other. Shihites will then respond by killing more Israelis and if we stand with them, then turn their sites on us. Obama will then give another speech... point his finger wave his hand back and forth and look indignant. Iran, Hamas, and Hezbollah will register laughter on the range of picking it up in space by satellites... At which point Obama will reluctantly call Bill Clinton to ask him what he should do. To which the former president will finally return the call upon completion of his "activity." About that time, we Americans will wonder if "Hope and Change" really was all it would take to create a universe in which unicorns excrete rainbows, and telling these people to "play nice" would solve the problem...

The Porn Industry requesting a bailout is as absurd as the Tobacco Industry requesting a bailout due to a drop in sales from New Year's Resolutions! I can hear Big Tobacoo now...(puff) "Americans can do without cars and such, but they cannot do without the dopamine delivered through a cigarette" (puff). Imagine if all the people in America deciding to quit smoking? Pollution would drop, respiratory problems would fall, cancer diagnoses would dissipate. People could live healthier lives but the Medical Industry could plummet. So what if America quit its porn addiction? As a Southern California native, I have heard that Chatsworth, California is known as the porn capital of the world. Besides the surplus of well-proportioned fast food cashiers, what would happen if America abstained from the porn industry? The Divorce Industry would suffer! Online pornography plays a "significant role" in over half of marriages that end in divorce. I don't know if America could handle this! Well, you can give away your hard earned change to the homeless lawyer on the street as you leave In-N-Out with a tasty burger... Larry Flynt definitely gives new connotation to words "stimulus package." Personally, this is one package I would like to see become frigid!

Needs a Bailout? So bankers, mortgage companies, American Express, GMAC, and the domestic auto industry all got bailouts... The Governors of the states of California, New Jersey and others are all in line with their hands out... And now the Porn Industry--represented by Larry Flynt and Joe Francis-- are headed to Washington DC to (with straight faces intact) ask for a partial stimulus package. Claiming that the poor economy has severely injured the "recreational sex" interest and ability in this downturn these two vile dredges of our society are asking for $5 billion to sustain the losses they've endured. And they are so articulate... "With all this economic misery and people losing all that money, sex is the farthest thing from their mind," Flynt says. "It's time for Congress to rejuvenate the sexual appetite of America."
And uhm.... Joe Francis, "Congress seems willing to help shore up our nation's most important businesses; we feel we deserve the same consideration."
They also claim that the XXX DVD sector is off 22% in sales from the previous year. Considering my own 401k is off about 48% I can certainly relate. And I wouldn't be too quick to dismiss the possibility they might get it. Men that have to turn to porn to satisfy what they are unable to work out in the relational aspects of their lives are truly in sad circumstances, so should we now publicly subsidize the worst instincts in one's proclivities? Should we force the taxpayer to help underwrite the future of an industry that creates all sorts of bondage--both spiritual and emotional--in the women it exploits in creating its profits? Should we as a nation be proud of how "open minded" this kind of degeneracy has brought us to? You watch, some lawyer will cite some obscure precedent somewhere... mark my words. The Porn endeavors in America have left marriages, homes, and lives in tatters. And we would be making a monstrous mistake in letting Washington even sniff in the direction of making this request a reality. I've been unilaterally opposed to ALL of the bailouts to date. This one I especially think they should let starve...

Former Migrant Worker - ABC Prime-time Anchor For the last week or so I had seen the promos for the new ABC reality series, "What would you do?" The concept was one that intrigued me given my long time fascination with the moral dilemmas of life. In fact it is just these types of dilemmas that my radio show covers weekly, in our attempt to encourage those who listen to 'Xtreme' Radio to hopefully act with more clarity in the situations they face in life. So after the season premiere of the ABC version of SCRUBS, I decided to stick around for the season premiere of "What would you do?" Which should have been titled, "Why does America suck so much?" John Quinones, this week's host, picked two subject matters for tonight's show. Response to how a deli in Linden, New Jersey treats two vocally belligerent illegal aliens who are being denied service, and what "Ugly Americans" look like in Paris. In the New Jersey scenario the belligerent illegals, and the waiter behind the counter saying horrifically mean spirited things to them were all actors, the gig was to see how others reacted. For the most part, most didn't react. One African American, who finally does react, repeatedly encourages the illegals to "leave and go somewhere else" to get their breakfast sandwich and coffee. At one point the African American male is then busted and run through the wringer for saying what he said. The white wash that was made in the piece however was infuriating. While one or two Americans out of a hundred might believe that illegal aliens shouldn't get service in a deli, nearly 80% of Americans out of that same hundred would believe that illegals should not come here illegally. In addition they also hold that we as a nation should do more to encourage a legal immigration policy across the board. At one point Quinones makes the inference that he was once a migrant worker and had received poor treatment. The red flag in my mind was that Quinones in his "gotcha" moments kept trying to make it seem that the American public confuses LEGAL immigrants, and migrant workers, with illegal immigrants. The ABC News cameras even shot B-roll footage of a street corner in Linden where at least 40-50 illegals gathered that day to find work in the morning. Americans DON'T confuse the issue of those who have come to this country out of a love for it and a desire to become AMERICAN vs. those who skirt the laws, slip across the borders, smuggle people, drugs, and other contraband in (and also pose a threat to our national security.) John Quinones owes the American public an apology for using his platform to paint Americans as xenophobic. It was a lie from the pit, and he should know better. His second topic was to take two "rednecks" and plop them down in Paris as the two most overly stereotypical figures ever conceived. The entire exercise was meant to poke fingers in the eyes of Americans for not being more cosmopolitan and French in their behaviors. While this excruciatingly hate-America tripe was running, what was merely brushed over was that as the secret cameras rolled in MANY instances it was actually fellow American tourists who would correct Tweedle Dee and Dum in their Parisian exploits. If John Quinones is actually interested in watching human behavior undergo the temptation of moral dilemmas, let's hope he chooses honest situations, with actual practical application to human behavior in the future. However seeing how he delighted in producing pieces tonight that even again compared "Bush" to "Hitler" he just lost what little journalism credibility he had. Put another way: M. Quinones lui-meme est une honte pour la pratique du journalisme et devrait etre retrograde au role de substitution dans les jours a venir.

Mr. President Al Qaida would like a word with you... See you DailyKos, Democrat Underground, George Soros, CNN, geniuses... They hate you too: "This is Obama whom the American machine of lies tried to portray as the rescuer who will change the policy of America," al-Zawahiri said, according to SITE. "He kills your brothers and sisters in Gaza mercilessly and without affection."

Now that the campaign is over, Obama apparently thinks he's done enough "pushing back the waters and healing the planet" and can stop being the catalyst for change. Is Obama's nominee for head of the CIA is Leon Panetta a fresh face offering change? Nope. He's a former chief of staff from the Clinton era. On top of that, he is not a specialist in the intelligence field either. "I don't think [Panetta] ever had any hands-on experience in the intelligence field," Loch Johnson [a political science professor from the University of Georgia] said. "His qualifications are more remote than any other person that has held that job."Is this change you can believe in?

Hmmm... If you were a noted top conservative columnist but fearful you might not get enough buzz about your new release because the Hamas/Israel war, Burris, Obama, Blagojevich, etc. what better way to re-emerge as a media power than lighting into a national television network when you get canceled but Perez Hilton gets to booked? Ann Coulter IS the best selling conservative author in print. Her books are fact-checked to the tiniest detail. And the ideas she ultimately puts across are some of the most important in the debate over ideas today. Perez Hilton on the other hand is widely known as the lowliest of internet sleaze. All the planets aligned... Coulter got canned, Perez got booked. Here's the problem, it was Coulter herself, and her buddy (long known to be a close friend of Coulter) Matt Drudge that made the connection between NBC canceling one and booking the other. Only problem is... there's no proof. Canceling Ann, as Drudge explains from unnamed sources because of Coulter's content in the book very well could be playing a big part of the picture here. But not favoritism for "The Queen of Hollywood." It's a novel talking point to generate more controversy, and that's certainly how Ann sells books. But I'm just not convinced there's any there, there. For my money - I'd prefer both of them to be canned and someone stick a camera on President-Elect Obama until he offers an idea on Israel... Now THAT would be must-see TV. N...B...C...

This entry is a post from Michele Reithmayr, the newest blogger here. She serves as the director of a Women's Resource Center, and can be contacted at michelereith@gmail.com. I have for some time been told that oppose women's right to true choices in the life debate that those who operate "Women's Resource Centers" (i.e. the WRC) seem to be "pushing a hidden, pro-life agenda." This got me thinking as I am trying to sleep at 1:35am. Wrong, wrong, right. Push-we don't. Hidden, nope. Pro-life, yes. But wait...we are also Pro-Choices. (gasp!) Did she really just say that? You bet. We believe that a woman has a right to know ALL of her options before she makes a decision on her pregnancy. So...I think we are neither Pro-Life or Pro-Choice. The WRC is Pro-Woman. Sounds too simple. But its true. If a young woman comes into our office and leaves determined to have an abortion, parent or adopt, we cannot tell her what to do. We just ask the questions, pass the tissue, and put and arm around her shoulders. Believe me, there are many that wonder into our office and in her given situation, its easy to think "that baby would be better off if that girl would only..." But THIS is not what we do. What we do is a labor of love, and many times sees very little return. I have been there. Pregnant at 16, boyfriend gone after the words "its positive." I went to Planned Parenthood ALONE. It was there that I was explained all my "options." Single parent, or an abortion. Wait, isn't there more? Are these really all my choices? Where is the tissue? There is NO easy option when comes to an unplanned pregnancy; you can dash your dreams and join the single parenthood league, give your baby away, or have a secret to carry with you for decades. None of these choices are easy or made without tears involved. The WRC is there to meet you where you are, regardless if you want an abortion. We even have an abortion support group--does Planned Parenthood do that? But if I hadn't wandered into the WRC at age 16 to learn about ALL my options, I would not have found HOPE beyond my pregnancy. And maybe, just maybe, there would not be a tall, handsome boy in Indiana with his mother's blue eyes (and brains!) and father's smile playing football this season at school--with TWO loving parents cheering from the bleachers. I look forward to meeting him someday...

Look Out!For some time I have been on the look out to add interesting and original voices to the debates of the day here on MuscleHeadRevolution.com. In 2008 I was honored when a very young, talented thinker named Faith Ammen took a leap of faith and decided to join the blogging team. There is no question that her take on things of interest has greatly enhanced the content of the site.
Today I am once again very pleased to introduce a new voice here on the MuscleHead pages. In the near future she will have the opportunity to tell you more about herself and where she's coming from. But she's a talented thinker, and quite often talented thinkers make the most interesting of writers. So join with me in welcoming Michele Reithmayr to the pages of the MuscleHead Revolution, because as she "muscles up the mind" and "builds up the brain" you may love to disagree with her but you will have a hard time disputing her.
Welcome Michele!

 NBC classier than CNN?
Just crossing my desk this morning... CNN felt free to include Sarah Palin on its list of political dishonorables from 2008. They ranked her 6th AHEAD of Governor Eliot Spitzer of New York (who committed a felony) and ahead of fellow Alaskan Ted Stevens, who Palin sided against. They sited "Troopergate" (of which she was cleared of any legal or ethical wrong doing) as her big crime. I suppose CNN would like you to believe that her being legally and ethically cleared of false accusations is the same as Rod Blagojevich's selling of a United States Senate seat, or of holding public funding for a children's hospital hostage until he got his six figure campaign contribution... They also sited "Wardrobegate" (of which she was never accused of doing anything illegal, never kept the clothes, and the ones not worn returned to stores, and the one she did wear auctioned off for charity) as her big scandal. Somehow it is suppose to equate to John Edwards coming to fisticuffs with paparazzi in his secret lover's hotel hallway? No... this was just a cheap shot to smear a decent woman who did nothing but re-energize what was turning into a disasterous campaign for the GOP. By the end of her sixth week on the trail she was averaging the same size crowds as Obama on the stump. CNN knows that she embodies and represents the views of millions of voters, and more importantly everyday people who grew to love her in her brief stint on the public radar. CNN's wretched comparison of Gov. Palin to the rest of the criminals and adulterers on their "worst of 2008" list is nothing less than a pathetic indication of the low-lifes that network has among its ranks (at least in its internet division) and they do themselves no favors in trying to return to their former glory (of which is long past) by continuing to encourage it. You can click here to let CNN know what YOU think about this.
