The same day that news comes out that sea ice is at the exact same level as it was in 1979, environmentalist wackos fervently cling to their global warming myth. Their newest strategy for saving the planet? Fining cows for breathing. As much as they claim to love all of God's creation, they decided the best way to display it is by urging the EPA to fine farmers $175 per dairy cow.

The Farm Bureau estimates that this could increase the cost of milk by 8 cents. This doesn't sound like a lot but, despite the relief of the financial strain of gas prices, milk is still expensive. My family drinks a lot of milk (we have five kids in the family) and we've started calling milk "white gold".

For those of you who don't like milk, don't worry....the environmentalists are after you too! That big screen TV you used to watch the Eagles beat the Vikings yesterday may be sent into hibernation. In California, "state regulators are getting ready to curb the growing power gluttony of TV sets by drafting the nation's first rules requiring retailers to sell only the most energy-efficient models, starting in 2011."

So, hasta la vista Milk & Big-Screen TVs...

Rockets fired from Hamas positions towards Israel

Not surprisingly my syndicated column has offended the political and theological left in America today. Here at TownHall the leftists have called me names, criticized my subject manner, sentence formation, and claimed I need a history recourse. Yet none of them have disputed the claims of the column itself.

The political and theological left in America do seem intent on always being critical of states like Israel and the USA in defending themselves--even after being attacked. But to do so is to issue a death sentence to Israelis.

Many have also been very uncomfortable with my accurate portrayal of history and the truth told in stating that it was the Democratic party in America that founded the Ku Klux Klan, fought to keep it active, refused to condemn its violence etc.

Some are very confused about this as was one of my good friends from high school:
The KKK has historically been tired to die hard "conservatives" and even today many are outspoken for the Republican party. All that really doesn't matter though as the true KKK has been on the decline and has been essentially dieing a slow death for about 3 decades now. Most people view any racist group that has white members as the KKK, which is not even close to the truth.

Thinking it might actually help shed a bit more light on the matter let me re-post my previously private response to my friend here:
The klan was formed over a period of months stretch from 1865-1866 by Democrats, and their sole purpose was to counter the Republican uprising throughout Southern states. At a time all of the southern state GOP parties were formed by a majority of former slaves (minus one) the Democrats realized that blacks coming to power represented a near termination for their party. (Especially in 1865 when many Democrats throughout the South were still unwilling to swear an oath of fidelity to the United States.)

It was Democrats not Republicans that sought to impose literacy tests to prevent uneducated blacks from voting. It was Democrats not Republicans that sought to impose poll taxes which sought to disenfranchise black voters. It was Democrats not Republicans who also sought to create White-only primary elections. It was Democrats not Republicans who used lynchings, rape, hangings, and other forms of intimidation to prevent blacks from exercising the newly established political powers and freedoms that emancipation had brought to them.

During reconstruction blacks were elected to Congress.

All during one of the biggest run ups in Republican power in our nation's history.

Towards the end of the 1800's due largely to the efforts of the KKK, and the overt efforts of Democratic party the voter intimidation worked and Democrats began to win state houses, state courts, state Governorships, and eventually congressional seats, and eventually the Presidency which gave way to an exclusively Democratic United States Supreme Court.

It was that court at the end of the 1800's and early 1900's that began to repeal every single federally established civil right blacks were granted by emancipation and the ensuing legislation that granted those rights.

In the early 1920's Congress held a lengthy set of hearings simply titled "The Klan Hearings." At that time under those political circumstances with Democrats in control of both houses, they felt nothing was lost in loudly proclaiming the historical truth and so they did. Literally hundreds of witnesses were called and Democrat after Democrat came to the floor of the House and bragged as to their initiation of, membership in, and eventually involvement with the Klan.

You can still access the transcripts through the Library of Congress... it is a 13 volume set.

Blacks would not again have a champion of civil rights on the national stage until the man Dwight David Eisenhower became president - a republican. It was Ike that drafted the language eventually ratified by Congress. But it did not come under his administration because of Congressional democrats that blocked the legislation each time it was introduced.

Eventually under enormous pressure President Lyndon B. Johnson reintroduced the exact same legislation originally authored by Ike and it finally became law.

It was the second time in American history that blacks have been made full and equal citizens. Sadly it was Democrats that revoked all of the rights blacks had originally been granted.

Drew, from the time of Lincoln and emancipation all the way until the early 1960's the Republican party issued a condemnation of lynchings, race-based intimidation, and specifically the existence of the Ku Klux Klan -- in every platform the party adopted.

To date from its inception - the Democratic party has NEVER CONDEMNED the Ku Klux Klan, nor called for an end to race-based violence, intimidation, etc.

Since you studied perhaps mainly the era leading up to through the end of the civil war, you might not have known this documented piece of history. No worries.

Here's a link that will give a nearly 150 footnoted sources and also provide a concise and fact based history of the black experience, and its continual oppression from the Democratic party from its beginning to present day.

This portion of American history is not taught in many prominent history courses, though it is a sad reality that it doesn't, because as you pointed out - truth counts.

And the truth has been from the beginning the Democratic party has been and continues to be the black man's enemy.

Feel free to join the debate in the comments...

Darwin deepens faith?

The Times of London publishes today one of the more ludicrous pieces ever claimed by a "conventional Christian." It hails 2009 as the 200th birthday of Charles Darwin, the father of evolution, and the 150th anniversary of his work Origin of the Species.

Michael Reiss is the author and his biography according to the column's slug is Professor of Science Education and Assistant Director at the Institute of Education, University of London, and a priest in the Church of England.

Odd...

His emphasis in the piece is to attempt to claim that Darwin's unproven theory somehow deepens Christian faith (his brand of it anyway...)

His main argument of support for marrying the two is focus on the "decentering" of humanity (as distinct and of more value than animals) and of the "upcentering" of animals (bringing them closer on par with humanity in terms of moral value).

His primary quote that he pulls for support of this "Darwin deepening faith" sham is from Richard Dawkins--an avowed Atheist.

And his conclusion, as is often the case with elitist academics, is to reject the scriptural text.

It might also be pointed out that with the previously mentioned four points of worldview one can claim Christianity AND simultaneously claim evolution, abortion rights (because human life is not distinct from animals), the rejection of God, AND assert that the Bible is wholly unnecessary for guidance in life's questions.

The problem was and is today that Darwin was a fraud, his theory is yet unproven, and with the exception of "evolutionary process" being able to change existing species, there has never since Darwin's theory was openly stated been the creation of a species that did not previously exist. And so says this Berkley professor of science...

This should be reason enough for American schools to open up the science debate in the classrooms of today to allow analytical criticism of Darwin's theory.

But by continuing to teach Darwin as gospel, the academic community can continue to also open up doubts as to the validity of scripture, and of scripture's God. "Christians" that do so can argue away sin, the foundation of reconciliation - Jesus Christ, and ultimately the need for repentance, forgiveness and salvation.

And they do so knowingly...

Change and Hope!

I have been a bit delinquent in posting over the holidays, for some very good reasons. I have enjoyed some down time with my Lovely Bride before we sprint full on into the busiest year of my professional life.

Along those lines I wanted to alert you to some of the changes around the BMX Media landscape in 2009.

Between the nationally syndicated radio show, the content of this blog page, my syndicated column, and books that have yet to be written, BMX Media will be focusing on content in new ways that will give us expanded reach, greater penetration, and longer lasting resonance. In short we are looking to have greater impact.

In 2008 upon my departure from Salem Communications in New York I had a real earnest desire to continue to make content that reflected common sense, and everyday solutions through the moral dilemmas of life that would point people to the IDEAL!

Thus when founding Baldwin McCullough 'Xtreme' Radio in July we focused on not just important issues, but on entertainment, humor, and taking the discussion to the bare bones level of "how do we think?"

Since that time the no-nonsense musings of Faith Ammen have joined us here at the blog page, and in just a matter of days another keen voice, sharp wit, and common sense woman of intelligence is joining the ranks as well. We will introduce you to Michele Reithmayr presently.

In addition actor Stephen Baldwin and I are thrilled and thankful for the growth of the 'Xtreme' radio show in 2008. And in 2009 we are looking to be even more aggressive in affiliate growth. Along those lines we are looking for some key people to join us in the effort. We need "marketing solution types" to help us lay the groundwork for affiliate growth in Los Angeles, Dallas, and Chicago. Whether it's part time or full time ability that you have, we are looking for talented folks who can think strategically to assist the show in sponsorship sales on the local level, promotions for those clients, and the expansion of marketing awareness in the metro area. If you are or know of someone who fits that description e-mail us now: BMXRadioNow@gmail.com.

In addition we have big plans with live events from a Charity pool match between Stephen Baldwin and Fox News' Rick Levinthal, to the first ever "Kind of Man Every Man SHOULD Be" conference, to a massive back to school party with Michael W. Smith. Long story short its going to be exciting.

So keep coming back, add us to your facebook network, join the radio show group, and we will be thanking you for making 2009 the best year ever!

Over half of "active duty service members" are either pessimistic or uncertain about President-elect Obama. Does this surprise anyone? Why shouldn't our military be nervous about a freshman senator becoming the commander-in-chief? Why shouldn't they be scared that someone with no foreign policy experience is charting the military's course? In addition to his glaring inexperience, he also liked to frequently change his answer as to an appropriate Iraq timetable while he was on the campaign trail.

“Being that the Marine Corps can be sent anywhere in the world with the snap of his fingers, nobody has confidence in this guy as commander in chief,” said one lance corporal who asked not to be identified.

There are some people who are optimistic about Obama's leadership, including eight out of 10 black service members.

What do you think? Is the change could simply because it is change? Will this fresh face provide the vision necessary to continue pursuing victory?
