"This is not even an immigration issue to them. This is a law enforcement issue. You’ve got kidnappings and murders and gang violence pouring over the border in an uncontrolled fashion. The bottom line is the Federal government has completely failed to enforce Federal immigration laws, much less make them stronger and more effective."
In the last 24 hours the left has done all they can to attempt to paint the voters of Arizona as racists. Obama himself calling the voters of Arizona "irresponsible" only last Saturday. In reality Marc Rubio has nailed Obama's big mouth to the wall. This lawlessness that is taking place on the southern border is the fault of an executive federal branch who is totally asleep on the job. They are collecting paychecks, while playing more golf in one year than the previous administration did in eight... LITERALLY. Rubio is right to point out that when the Federal branch is incompetent or negligent, and in this case a likely heaping helping of both is at work, then states are left to attempt to solve the problem for themselves. Law-abiding Arizonans, of all races, care about their own well-being, even if Washington DC doesn't, and at the end of the day Latinos, Asians, Blacks, and Whites in that state are saying... "Protect us now!"
Score Rubio a huge win on the messaging, tactic, and strategy on this back and forth. And Obama had better do a whole heaping lot better the next time he decides to open his mouth. Because when Latinos are telling him its his own fault... it sort of makes him look like a ninny.

He who supplants! Some of you have heard but for those who haven't... On Sunday I became a father, for the second time. I've been an adoptive father of a special needs son from an orphanage in Haiti going back to 1993. That story is amazing, miraculous, and without question demonstrated the hand of God in rescuing a young man, who had he been left to his own devices, might even now not be with us. Fortunately he is healthy, working, and thriving. And even though his special needs persist, and will till his end of days, he is learning yet his third language, holding down steady work--even in very hard economic times, and stays close to his dad chatting me up several times a week with all that's going on in his life. At 26 he is self-sufficient, and even living independently. On Sunday I became a father the old-fashioned way. Waking up to his wife's contractions being 4 minutes a part, a quick call to the doctor, dropping off the family pet at the kennel, we welcomed James Kevin McCullough to this world at roughly 1:48pm New York time. He is healthy, content, and fascinated with the new world constantly changing around him. With his mother's estimable intelligence and his father's deep-routed passion, he is likely to be a holy terror on this planet. Nothing would do us more proud... But now begins for me a second time, and for my Lovely Bride's first, the challenge that is the quest of every parent. To see his life become what God intends it to be. And what is that? There are lots of books written about parenting. 99.995% of them worth less than the paper it cost them to be printed. A handful of exceptions exist. Dr. James Dobson's entire parenting library would no doubt qualify, as would two of my new favorites Dani Johnson's "Grooming the Next Generation" and "Parenting from The Heights" by Anne Williams Wiggins. I would also hope that "The Kind Of Man Every Man Should Be" would rank on the list for raising boys in particular. But all the book-knowledge aside... what IS the job of a parent? Rosie O'Donnell had Governor Mike Huckabee on her low-rated radio show to attempt to get him to argue about that very question. Like many Rosie believes that as long as the parent as a certain amount of affection, and deep enough money pockets... ANYONE will make a suitable parent. How wrong she is, as well as 98% of all the parenting gobbledy-guck that's sucking up shelf space in self-help sections of bookstores everywhere. The job of a parent is at the very least "provision for growth" and "protection from danger." But to me, that's only HALF the job... at best. Parenting goes way beyond an XBOX in every room. In fact in my mind, that's more like child abuse... My job for little James will be simple. I have to teach him how to think. That's it. He will have to end up thinking about everything else in life, so I happen to believe it to be a fundamentally important idea. But if I do not help him examine that every decision he makes, from obeying his mother the very first time she asks him to do something, to deciding who to marry, which school to go to, or what to do with his life, my job is to get him to do the mental "weighing" of the matter. You see EVERY decision he will make will start with a worldview. He won't be a slave to his hormones they way public educators tend to view teens today. He may DECIDE to, against better judgment, engage in risky activity. But at the end of the day he will be so well trained, that if he does... he will not do so, without heavy forethought as to the consequences of such actions. His ABILITY to think depends on how well I train him. His choice to continue to use discernment's gift to him, will depend on him. Children generally give you what you expect of them. (Coupled with what they see in you...) So if I preach to James a ton of legalisms, and hypocritically engage in all the things I told him were bad... he will likely rebel, lie, deceive, and exact unending misery on his life. If however, I try to show him with humility, how life has worked best for his mother and I, and why we truly believe he can go the next eighteen years without engaging in promiscuous sex, drug experimentation, cheating on exams, and telling lies to his parents, I believe he will get it. There are many of you reading this that hate James' father so much you hope that HE will fail at this simple goal of a transparent and righteous life. That's okay... cheer all you want. Ultimately James will learn far more from what I do before him, than any argument I would ever win from a morality-free "progressive" who does not believe in such simple things as right and wrong. And trust me, not only will he know the difference by the time he's old enough to articulate it, but with my persistence and his mother's principle, the world will have yet to see what one life totally committed to what is good, true, and just can produce. And that's why I'll have so much fun helping him try!

a production of XtreMedia(tm.) LLC of New York ------------------------------------------- ...Listen LIVE: 9-11pm EST...***TONIGHT: Breaking News***: There have been a lot of inquiries about the status of the project "Restore Stephen Baldwin." Stephen will address these concerns, criticisms, and untruths tonight on Baldwin/McCullough Radio. The unflattering articles that have run everywhere from Vanity Fair to the Washington Post this past week are FULL of inaccuracies, especially by implication, and if you know anyone who has written on this topic in the past week they would be well advised to listen in tonight and make the appropriate concessions on the pieces they have already published.
ON BALDWIN/McCULLOUGH RADIO:
1. Liberals say he had it coming. The overwhelming majority of Americans believe it is ridiculous. But the Pentagon has rescinded and invite to Rev. Franklin Graham to participate in a day of prayer at the Pentagon. His big crime? Claiming the exclusivity of Christianity. (Which is what ALL genuine Christians actually do believe.) So following that train of thought, will the Pentagon ever allow any Christian to ever again participate in a day of Prayer at the Pentagon? Thoughts: 800.345.9622. 2. The state of Arizona has made it illegal, and locally enforceable for illegal immigrants to be in their state. They have empowered local law enforcement forces to be able to do discovery on those thought to possibly have no legal status in the state. More than 70% of residents in the state of Arizona favorably support the new law, and the Governor has already signed it into law. Now Barack Obama is threatening to enforce his federal will upon the residents of Arizona. He went so far as to call the law, the legislators who passed it, the governor who signed it, and the people who support (the entire state), "Irresponsible!" Disagree and go to the first of the line... 800.345.9622 Baldwin/McCullough Resources: The Kind of Man Every Man Should Be . MuscleHead Revolution: Overturning Liberalism with Commonsense Thinking . 1. It appears that the White House is still insistent on attempting to secure prosecutions and public humiliations for the CIA, the military, and the former administration in the issue of interrogation of terrorists. Baldwin wants to know from you, is it proper to still be pursuing those who were merely following orders at every turn? Thoughts: 800.345.9622. 2 . An American high-school has secretly snapped thousands of pictures of its students through a school laptop program. Originally discovered by a parent last year and sued over, the school originally claimed that the remote tracking programs had been turned on, merely for the recovery of lost or stolen laptops. The discovery of these pictures, and newly released e-mails by school staffers calling the program a window into the local high school "soap opera" tends to dispute the school's storyline. And the public educators expect us to just give them the benefit of the doubt... Disagree and go to the first of the line... 800.345.9622 Baldwin/McCullough Resources:

Every now and then if you live long enough you get to experience things that cause people like my friend Jessica Bolitho to say on facebook, "I'm so jealous of the life you live." I don't think she means that but on days like today I could possibly see why. The day started with a meeting in our hotel lobby listening to former head football coach at the University of Colorado, Bill McCartney. "Coach" has recently returned to the organization he founded and guided in its prime-- Promise Keepers. "Coach" and the newly innovative team he has surrounded himself with have a vision for rebuilding our nation's cities. They plan to accomplish this through rebuilding the man, the family, the community and beyond. I then had the chance to sit at the lunch dining table at Focus on the Family with the man who has picked up the mantle officially set aside by Dr. Jim Dobson this past year--Jim Daly. Jim's eyes lit up with tremendous energy as he talked excitedly about new ventures that Focus is taking on like their new work encouraging adoption for unwanted children. His commitment ever as firm as he also expressed significant concern for the tone of the political debates that are brewing presently. He desperately desires orthopraxy, as much if not more so than orthodoxy. In the end he simply wants to be more foundational in assisting the family, and in essence is returning this historic organization to its roots. From there we scuttled over to the headquarters of Compassion International. I got to sit and listen first hand to Compassion's seventeen year president Wes Stafford. Wes grew up in the midst of African poverty as the only white boy in a town of African natives. By 16 he had seen more than fifty percent of his friends perish from things like measles, hunger, and simple diseases that we have treatment for in the U.S. He spoke of the first time he saw a grocery store, a pharmacy, and a large city (New York.) His passion to continue to help children in poverty has caused him to take on the work of Compassion as his own, and the fire that burns in his belly has not come close to burning out. Jerry Jenkins was the final meeting I had for the day. Jerry is the author of Left Behind, and the most successful Christian author in history--175 titles in 36 years. His most recent title Riven he gave me as a parting gift. His passion for his alma mater, Moody Bible Institute, is so deeply commendable. For as busy a life as Jenkins has to deal with, he serves on the board at MBI. But in between the new books, new movies, and other projects in his life, his desire to see people reached for truth has not been quenched. Governor Mike Huckabee was another person I had the chance to spend most the day with today. In between the stops from one destination to the next the Governor and I had the chance to talk politics, Romney, Palin, and his new resurgent lead in CNN's most recent poll. In all the conversations we shared, he again expressed with clarity that respect. I had the chance to round out the day with dinner with our "Rising Voice" friends from Focus. Mr. Schneeberger, Ms. Fleece, and us had not only a good dinner, but many, many laughs. It was the perfect end to the perfect day!

How on earth? American Idol judges did the right thing tonight in saving Michael Lynche. Pimple-faced screecher Aaron Kelly should not have been put through to next week. His tone-deaf opener on the Tuesday night live show should have been the final nail in the coffin for perhaps the least talented "top ten" contestant to ever be named. I know Aaron is a little cutie to all the tweenkies voting. But it just goes to show how little the modern kids know about things like pitch, phrasing, and actual singing ability. Of course we're all reminded of this also when the established music acts as asked to be part of the Wednesday night results show each week. Rihanna, P Diddy, and Usher all came out in the last two weeks and turned in dreadfully boring performances on songs that could not under ANY circumstances be considered "singing" or even "musical" for that matter. And next week's judge was announced tonight as Adam Lambert. What the heck has happened to American Idol? Michael's interp on Lennon/McCartney week was the only song I had planned on downloading off of iTunes. The fact that he deserves to be in finals against Bowersox going head to head as the two most talented singers in an actual singing contest is well documented. The fact that the tone-deaf, can't-control-his-vibrato, screecher beat him out in this week's polling says much about possible process of corruption in the American Idol system. But I've known this since Brooke Barrettsmith was tossed at the top 40 mark in season five, when she would've easily bested many of those who have been in the top ten for the last several years... EASILY!
