Where can you find the station nearest you to hear Baldwin/McCullough? Simple enough... Click here!

We've changed the the requirements for Xtremium Memberships at http://TheBingeThinker.com and http://BaldwinMcCullough.com. Now there is no cost!

Congratulations are again in order to Kirsten Green who is this year's winner of "The Great Manhattan Holiday get-away. Kirsten joins us in two weeks.

ON BALDWIN/McCULLOUGH RADIO:

1. The NYTimes claims that young adults aged 18-20 are currently 5% of the gun-owning population in America, but that they are responsible for 20% of the gun related crimes in the country. The thinking by the Times is that the NRA should be prevented from lobbying for states like Texas where they'd like to lower the age of legal gun ownership & the right to conceal those guns to 18. Thoughts: 800.345.9622.

2. Actor Michael Brea, who has appeared on "Ugly Betty," slashed his mother to death after claiming that he wasn't killing her, but killing the demon inside her. All of this after he had a dream claiming God told him that day would be his final day. He also claimed he heard the voice of a demon coming from his mom as she asked him to go dump the boiling water from the chicken pots she had brewing in the kitchen. He shows no remorse, and claimed he was doing God's work. When the NYPD showed up the cops refused to break the door down, claiming to wait for emergency units. They did so even though they could have saved the woman's life. Thoughts: 800.345.9622.

ON THE KEVIN McCULLOUGH SHOW:

1. THE HEADLINE ITEM:  We will hear from Gov. Huckabee, Gov. Jindal, Congressman Ron Paul, and get you up to date on the national "opt out" movement. But it's TSA all the time. And on this busiest of all travel days, your patience may be put to the test. And you better not be smelly or fat... or so say the TSA. Disagree with me here: 877.572.8446.

2. THE PRACTICAL DILEMMA:  They are sixteen, they either are or have been recently pregnant, and they are now famous. The sad, sad, reality that is "16 & Pregnant" may be the lack of reality they have about where they are in life.  So here's the money question... How would you convince them otherwise? 877.572.8446.

3. THE DAILY GOD THOUGHT:
"Our spiritual strength begins to be drained when we stop lifting our eyes to Him. Our stamina is sapped, not so much through external troubles surrounding us but through problems in our thinking."

ON THE KEVIN McCULLOUGH SHOW:

1. THE HEADLINE ITEM:  A new TSA Ad campaign, A man stripping to his skivvies in the the security line, the man who is organizing national "opt-out" day, and what holiday travelers are already saying... Just another day in the ever growing drama between We The People, and Napolitano's police force. Disagree with me here: 877.572.8446.

2. THE PRACTICAL DILEMMA:  What would the up and down sides of being able to erase certain types of memories? Would you personally wish to do so? Would you do it only for traumatic memories? Is it wrong to not allow people to erase memories of abuse? What about the lessons learned from those memories? 877.572.8446.

3. THE DAILY GOD THOUGHT:
"When we discern that other people are not growing spiritually and allow that discernment to turn to criticism, we block our fellowship with God. God never gives us discernment so that we may criticize, but that we may intercede."

ON THE KEVIN McCULLOUGH SHOW:

1. THE HEADLINE ITEM: In the "news" hour things are getting more and more strange. TSA now forcing children to go through partial strip searches in the open. The expected result of these new procedures is already creating massive backlogs for this week's travel. And wait till you hear the heartbreaking cancer survivor explain his experience, and how the TSA pat down left him covered in urine. Congressional hearings NOW. Stop Napolitano NOW. Profile NOW! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! Disagree with me here: 877.572.8446.

2. THE PRACTICAL DILEMMA: So it has become the talk of the nation. The newest TIME Magazine/Pew Poll finds that fewer people than ever before view marriage as important or necessary. How will this perception change the culture, at least from where you sit? 877.572.8446.

3. THE DAILY GOD THOUGHT:
"Jesus Christ became a curse for us by divine decree. Our part in realizing the tremendous meaning of His curse is the conviction of sin. Conviction is given to us as a gift of shame and repentance; it is the great mercy of God."

TONIGHT we pull the name from our six finalists for the winner of the second annual "Great Manhattan Holiday Get-Away."

ON BALDWIN/McCULLOUGH RADIO:

1. $11,000 is now what TSA is randomly saying they have the right to fine you, if you refuse to undergo the XRay screening or the sexual assault pat down. Refusing to allow people to simply leave the airport and not travel, and furthermore threatening to make them pay $11,000 is beyond offensive. Further it has nothing to do with safety, and some suggestions/solutions do! Thoughts: 800.345.9622.

2. Cedric Miller is the New Jersey pastor who told 50 of his staff members to delete their facebook accounts or to resign. His rationale had to do with the fact that in his counseling of lay couples some 20 of them had experienced an introduction to an illicit relationship from an "ex-flame" rediscovered through the social networking website. Other pastors have reasons for churches to stay away from facebook based on concerns for lack of "community" or the ability to control the communication. KMC believes all these fears to be 100% displaced. Thoughts: 800.345.9622.

It's always a pleasure to be on with the folks at Fox, as a contributor I've gotten to know more and more of them behind the scenes.

I've not heard a single person defend the concept, institution, or validity of marriage as Lauren Green did plainly yesterday.

Of course this led into the rather intriguing story of the pastor who has banned his executive staff from facebook or else they will lose their positions at the church.

Right motivation, terrible methodology missing the point, but very important area of life needing a solution.

Here's what I said when Fox asked my opinion on it.

ON THE KEVIN McCULLOUGH SHOW:

1. THE HEADLINE ITEM: Actor Stephen Baldwin will join us at 7:20am EST to discuss the latest attempts at cover up by the government, the oil companies, and other forces with stakes in the game in the on-going problems with gulf oil, the food supply, and how this disgrace of a scandal continues to adversely impact the gulf region. Others may be forgetting but Stephen is not and joins us live to discuss. Disagree with me here: 877.572.8446.

2. THE PRACTICAL DILEMMA: ALSO What if you were a nationally syndicated talk show host that women poured their hearts out to over a number of years. Well our special guest on Friday IS that woman that other women have confided in. What have they said? Why have they walked through it? And what did SHE learn in listening over all these years. Friend and former colleague Anita Lustrea will join us in studio. 877.572.8446.

3. THE DAILY GOD THOUGHT:
"Forgiveness means that I am forgiven into a newly created relationship which identifies me with God in Christ. The miracle of redemption is that God turns me, the unholy one, into the standard of Himself, the Holy One. He does this by putting into me a new nature, the nature of Jesus Christ."

ON THE KEVIN McCULLOUGH SHOW:

1. THE HEADLINE ITEM: In the "news" hour lots of items to get to. Sen. Jay Rockefeller wants to silence "all" editorial debate on cable television. Sarah Palin makes a prediction that would not come true if it was today. And speaking of Palins, one of them, appearing on a popular dance show, evidently makes someone so angry at her mad lack of dance skills that he blew a hole in his television. Oh and just in time, Harry Reid wants to bring back illegal immigration reform in the lame duck session... Disagree with me here: 877.572.8446.

2. THE PRACTICAL DILEMMA: The USA Today asked a highly intriguing question. "What will the legacy of the baby boomers be?" We'll show you some of the reaction they got, but more importantly take your calls. Also... practically speaking, the TSA has an update for you... More body scans and pat downs across the country, and still no update on targeting actual groups that are actual terrorists... 877.572.8446.

3. THE DAILY GOD THOUGHT:
"God delivers us from sin— we have to deliver ourselves from our individuality. This means offering our natural life to God and sacrificing it to Him, so He may transform it into spiritual life through our obedience."

1. THE HEADLINE ITEM: The President has seen the light. He puts forward a plan (although it is only temporary, that would agree to fight for extension of current tax rates until beyond the 2012 elections. The President's core supporters and base are outraged. The GOP is shocked but supportive. How do you feel about the President more or less admitting that President Bush was right? Disagree with me here: 877.572.8446.

2. THE PRACTICAL DILEMMA: A mother is now MORE likely to be when she is the primary provider AND 877.572.8446.

As I write these words I am winging my way back to NYC from Chicago having just completed the first leg of the “Loving the Bad Man” film screening tour.

The weekend went by fast and furiously. The screenings went better than expected. In fact they could not have gone better. Big packed out crowds at all the locales and nearly five hundred response cards as to how the film actually impacted them.

But this wasn’t even the biggest part of this all-too-hurried weekend.

It was the people...

http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs967.snc4/76005_10150120342807589_812832588_7861548_6183037_n.jpg

I don’t know if it’s just because I’m a new dad or what, but the hard-head inside of me has turned to mushy goo in recent months.

I never enjoyed being away from the Lovely Bride, and in every instance where I can to this day I will always prefer her to be with me when I’m on the road whether speaking, conducting business, broadcasting, music, films, book tours etc.

But since Baby James has arrived that somewhat tempered dissatisfaction about being gone from home, has turned into absolute hated dread, and sometimes tremendous emotional sadness.

Like I said, I’ve turned to goo...

But with this trip to Chicago I’m wondering if that is seeping over into all the other areas of relationships.

For instance I’ve just written a handful of overly emotional “thank you” emails to people that hosted us, helped us, etc. Lengthy, hopefully well articulated, screeds of gratitude and verbal affection for the times we were able to share.

But I could’ve written far more...

http://sitebuilder.yola.com/restricted_view/site_design/8a4986ca1cfca030011d0654a34e5547/resources/photo02.JPG

Because whether it was sitting down to a steak dinner on Friday night in Chicago, going to a second dinner later that same night in River Forest, seeing friends we hadn’t in well over a year. Whether it was rising very early and driving to the uttermost ends of the earth to Spring Grove and seeing listeners/viewers that drove from IOWA just to say “thanks” to Stephen and I for what we do. Or to visit with friends that have treated me like family from the moment we met.

Whether it was returning to the Chicago area and since we were unable to secure a broadcast facility, we were basically given permission to turn our hosts dining room into a radio booth, and interrupt what had been previously planned as a gourmet dinner party into a “live but intimate” studio audience...

Whether it was getting up early on Sunday meeting children of musicians I had played with years ago, and leading worship with the man who stood beside me when I took the Lovely Bride’s hand in marriage...

Whether it was seeing the light on a woman’s face who has been diagnosed with frontal lobe dementia, but who had been asking me to come to Chicago and to lead worship for months, just so she could hear Doug and I sing together again... Whether it was all the hugs from friends of past churches I had been part of...

Whether it was an intimate brunch with friends I had known since before their now 12 year old had been born...

http://sitebuilder.yola.com/restricted_view/site_design/8a4986ca1cfca030011d0654a34e5547/resources/photo01.JPG

Whether it was relaxing at the home of some of my closest friends in stocking feet watching football for a mere hour before off to the next event...

Whether it was seeing my dear friend who used to broadcast with me back in the Moody Broadcasting part of my career, and who confessed to me for the first time last night ever, that she in fact wept the day I left...

Whether it was spending time with newer friends that I’ve really only had limited amounts of time with, but have shared so many similar views on, not to mention the mad song-writing skills they have (“A Beer for Zier”), we’ve grown quickly...

http://sitebuilder.yola.com/restricted_view/site_design/8a4986ca1cfca030011d0654a34e5547/resources/photo05.JPG

Or whether it was an ethnic Romanian family that I had grown quite close to in a very difficult period of my life, who showed genuine joy in seeing me again after all these years...

It was a time-warp-memory-generating-too-much-to-take-in-bizarro-world-emotional-overload the likes of which I’d never seen.

And I’m sorry, but the goo couldn’t stay put.

So for everyone’s efforts, I just wanted to say “thanks!”

Because had I not had the chance to see Guinness, Liza, Kevin, Angie, Lucy, Pastor and Mama B, Billy, Brooke, Tim, Melissa, Spring Grove Fellowship, Cornel, Stephen, Bonnie (yep I even included you), Wally, Lootch (you too), Radu and your Bride, Doris, Buni, Calvary Memorial, Kyle, Anne, the three cuties, Steve (best to Candice), Pastor Burt, Rob, Kathy, kids, Tom, Kim, Pete, Bev, Nicole, Doug, Beth, Elmhurst CRC, Dr. Lutzer, Aimee and Scott, various fellow former MBI alums, Justin, Mike, and Leontina, and of course Vince and Laura... thanks for making my whirlwind time in Chicago so special, so filled with memories, and so surreal.

I look forward to the next time...

ON BALDWIN/McCULLOUGH RADIO:

1. Earlier this week, NBC, Alec Baldwin, and Tina Fey took great delight in casting the thoughtful voters that just threw out a big chunk of Congress as literally diapered babies. Thoughtful campaign slogans were represented. No doubt in wine and cheese circles all over the nation this week there were smarty smarts declaring the "ga ga goo goo gag" as so insightful. KMC respectfully disagrees. Thoughts: 800.345.9622.

2. Obama is in reverse... This week he leaked the fact that he's going to approve what he used to refer to as "tax cuts for the rich." NOW it appears that indefinite detention might be the best policy moving forward for some of the animals at Gitmo. Now Newsweek is pondering the job of President and is wondering out loud if it is a job too big to be effective. The Washington Post going one step further saying he can save America by declaring he will NOT run for the nomination in 2012. Thoughts: 800.345.9622.

2. THE PRACTICAL DILEMMA: A father sues the school his child attends because his class had read a book that supposedly included language he was uncomfortable with that described the plight of African Americans from the days of slavery, to the modern era. Does he have a case? Or is this a case where the victim mentality in America prevents later generations from understanding truth? 877.572.8446.

3. THE DAILY GOD THOUGHT:
"One of the tests for determining if the work of salvation in your life is genuine is— has God changed the things that really matter to you? There is no possibility of imagining that you did it. It is this complete and amazing change that is the very evidence that you are saved."

Disagree with me here: 877.572.8446.

1. THE HEADLINE ITEM: It's the Jakarta report... President's trip is cut short. And hey remember that speech that President Obama made right after he became President--in Cairo--where he told muslims that the U.S. and Islam had so much in common? Evidently Michelle didn't get the message because gall of galls - she shook hands with a muslim leader in Jakarta. Disagree with me here: 877.572.8446.

Really?

Hotline... Schmottline...

Good grief guys you have all the research you can find at your finger tips and the best you can come up with is Romney?

Need we remind you that Romney wrote Obamacare? Need we remind you it went bankrupt? Need we remind you that the only thing still working in the plan is the $50 abortions?

Romney is DOA in the Presidential race...

And you Hotliners who like to fudge the facts... Huckabee finished second in 2008 (278 delegates to the convention)... Not Romney (271 delegates in 2008), and had Fred Thompson not still been in the race in South Carolina Huckabee would've beaten McCain like a drum heading into Florida (and the first one to get 2 of the first 3 always wins.)

IF Huck runs, and I realize the big IF that is... but IF he runs vs. Romney, Huck takes Iowa, Romney takes New Hampshire -- both by big margins.

Who wins South Carolina, Florida, and heads into the first Super Tuesday with the money and mo?

It ain't Romney.

And this time, we all hope that the National Review won't be fooled into being on the take from the Romney camp running subterfuge based on falsehoods about other candidates.

Parting question... which potential 2012'er has led in head to head match-ups against Obama for over ten months know - not losing to him over that period of time.

There's only one...

And again... It AIN'T Romney!
