ON THE KEVIN McCULLOUGH SHOW: 1. THE HEADLINE ITEMS: Big Headlines... Big Things to THINK about. What is the plight of single parents today? Terry Hitchcock set out to draw attention to this matter in a very unique way. Don't miss Terry's time with us at 8:08am EST. THEN our friends at LIVE ACTION are back and biting once again at the heels of Planned Parenthood, this time catching them in one of the biggest whoppers ever. And finally does President Obama owe President Bush a "thank you?" Disagreements with me here: 877.572.8446. 2. THE PRACTICAL DILEMMA:
So fat people have become the easy target in America. Jokes told at their expense flow far too easy. But is concern about our collective mass always bad? Your calls at 877.572 8446. 3. The God Thought: "All that we have has been given to us by God. The fact that we sometimes badly misuse certain gifts, talents, and opportunities, does not change the fact that they came from HIM in the first place." ON THE KEVIN McCULLOUGH SHOW: 1. THE HEADLINE ITEMS:
Multiple important items this morning: What do you want to hear from President Obama in tonight's address to the nation? He will be addressing Libya. His Secretary of Defense yesterday said clearly-on more than one network-that the U.S. has no compelling interest in Libya. Senator Frank Lautenberg thinks you should get your Constitutional freedoms taken away--if you disagree with him. Also... The Vice-President's office is under critique this morning, for locking the pool reporter assigned to cover his fund-raising dinner with Senator Ben Nelson this weekend in Florida. Disagreements with me here: 877.572.8446. 2. THE PRACTICAL DILEMMA:
So the kids in charge of Abercrombie & Fitch are interested in putting your 8yr old in a "push-up" bikini top. Over the weekend the calls for them to remove these items from their CHILDREN'S catalogue caused them to take action, but does it go far enough. We have two reports. Your calls at 877.572 8446. 3. The God Thought: "The Second Law is a crucial stepping stone in the spiritual life. Confess your utter and complete need for God's help. Until you can say that from your heart, your are not yet to first base on your spiritual journey." Join the daily conversation, join the "The Early Morning God Thought" group on facebook!

Share Where can you find the radio station nearest you to hear Baldwin/McCullough? Simple enough... Click here! Where can you go to see it on television? Check your local listings, or on-screen guide. The fun is just kicking off for our television simulcast this week number 1 of the new Baldwin/McCullough MegaCast: Download our new ConnectionPlus tool AND get a one year complimentary membership to all XtreMIUM Membership at Baldwin/McCullough.
TONIGHT: GOV. MIKE HUCKABEE WITH A STARTLING REVELATION at 10pm EST on FamilyNet Television, or the chat room access ONLY!
ON THE BALDWIN/McCULLOUGH MegaCast: 1. What United States Senator said this week that Americans who were pro-life, conservative, tea-party, etc. "don't deserve the freedoms of the (United States) Constitution?" We will play for you the audio from a very public rally where this Senator said it OUT LOUD while people were within earshot... directly into a microphone. Proving what liberals really do think--that the only ones who deserve freedoms are the ones who agree with them--but they seldom are dumb enough to say it out loud. At least they used to be... 877.573.8446. 2. Do you believe in an actual heaven and/or hell? Why? There is a pastor who has raised a certain amount of questions related to those ideas while his controversial book has shot to the top of the best seller's list. He's not beyond doing something like that--just for the money is he? A pastor wouldn't let himself get so insulated from accountability that he could say things that go against the mainstream ideas of his faith--just to make a buck--right? Also... what happens when this pastor walks right into the buzz saw that is America's foremost investigative journalist? Some are screaming "ambush", some call it good journalism--which do you think it was? 877.573.8446. Baldwin/McCullough Resources: The Kind of Man Every Man Should Be . Not that it will make much difference but at least Gallup is now admitting what other pollsters have seen for over a year. Simply put... neither Palin, Romney, Gingrich, Pawlenty, Jindal, Ryan, Paul, or Cristie are able to beat Barack Obama (well in any match-up held today.) Yet the media establishment will continue to talk about how Romney is the "front runner," and was the "runner up" in 2008. Both assertions of which are CATEGORICALLY false. The media will feign interest in Palin, only waiting to work her over like she never has been once she's officially in. But they ignore the man who IS the front-runner (and has been since a year ago February) and who is the only one that would beat President Obama if the election were held today, Gov. Mike Huckabee. He sat down with me on my morning show and told me flat out, that despite the rumors of his demise, despite the locking up shop on his Presidential campaign, and despite the fact that he has the highest rated weekend show of all broadcasts on cable news. He's still VERY MUCH considering a run at the White House in 2012. He also debunks the notion that he is a "big government" anything. And is willing to have dialogue with whoever is ready and willing to make government more common sense and lower the price on everything government needs to do. He also calls my new book, "One of the most POSITIVE" conservative reads to come along in a really long time.

ON THE KEVIN McCULLOUGH SHOW: 1. THE HEADLINE ITEMS:
2200 ground troops are on the ground in Libya, all of them Marines. There were also already many CIA-styled special forces already on the ground when President Obama promised there would not be. Now Farakhan, Sharpton and others are speaking out. Disagreements with me here: 877.572.8446. 2. THE PRACTICAL DILEMMA:

Lybia is claiming that they have not sent military crews in to kill civilians. We will hear directly from a top Lybian government spokesperson. We will also hear from Alex Crawford of SkyNews who embedded in a Lybian city controlled by the rebels. What we see and hear is gravely disturbing, and on top of it all-- Al Queda has joined the support of the rebels. But the American people approve of our actions thus far 50%-29%. Still feel that way?. Disagreements with me here: 877.572.8446. 2. THE PRACTICAL DILEMMA:
Think that an organization should be prevented from issuing its app on the Apple platform? What do you call it when someone writing a book that is designed by its publisher to sell gazillions of copies, based primarily on its inflammatory claims, uses evidence to make those claims that is historically, Biblically, and textually inaccurate?
Thus the single biggest knock against the best-selling title from America's leading "emergent" voice and someone who could legitimately be labeled universalist, Rob Bell.
I have a series of blog posts that will be coming on my own observations from actually having read the text of Bell's postulations.
But I begin with the most disconcerting issue with the book: it's repeated, and unseemly non-random use of evidence where he claims to demonstrate one thing, when in reality the context of that actual evidence is claiming exactly the opposite...
Review: Love Wins, Part One... "Why it is not an important intellectual or serious work:" Rob Bell, while on his book tour, painting my city (New York) fantastic, and enjoying and drinking in the attention and limelight and glory that only a book tour can provide, for the most part was not required to answer serious questions about "Love Wins."
He was asked about the comfort people could draw from grand ideas of a loving God. He was asked about a world in its ideal state. And conveniently rarely asked about a world in need of salvation in it's present state.
My guess is most of those asking these questions did not read the book, and I'm quite certain the majority of them did little research in understanding Rob Bell's claims. Yet there were significant problems with Bell's research. Or to be clear his assertion of research as he attempted to parse evidence for the underlying universalist viewpoint that the book puts forward.
From a historical standpoint alone, Bell commits nearly criminal recklessness with his either purposeful misuse of Martin Luther. So much so that he appears to present the most famous protestant reformer as someone who held open the possibility of "universalism."
People of good will can say, perhaps it was an innocent mistake that he attempts to use the lead reformer of the protestant reformation as an example of universalism. But being a strong believer in man's depravity I tend to think he did this in the hopes of bolstering his case, and betting that no one would expose it. But students of history and of the church's history specifically easily can prove Luther believed, argued, and felt otherwise. (And we can do so from the very document Bell quotes to show Luther's "support" of universalism.)
Bell's use of scripture to argue in similar fashion goes beyond just simple sloppiness or negligence to a purposeful misrepresentation of what the text is saying. He implies for instance that John 3:17 teaches a universalist proof. When John 3:18 clearly demonstrates the opposite.
Even one of my emergent brothers, who I regularly disagree with, made this observation: "You CAN FIND a kind of universalism in Bell's book that arguably strays beyond orthodoxy defined in a certain way--or at least, beyond a robust Biblical Christian faith situated in historic Christian tradition including the various streams of the Reformation... ...The terrible enormity of sin, the gravity of God's judgment, the reality of the hardness of the human heart, the Biblical picture of a final judgment and the theological and philosophical imperative of a final judgment, the glory of the atonement, the "blessed hope" of the return of Christ the King and Judge who will vindicate his people by permanently excluding and destroying evil in all of its structural and personal embodiment, including evil persons who spurn God's grace and persecute his people--all of these are indespensible components of the Christian story."
Bell's research misquotes (based on context), misleads (based on meaning and intention), and misstates (based on history and consensus.)
The innocent, "I'm not a researcher, I'm just a pastor who wants people to know they are loved..." response he offered on the one national media outlet (that had the guts to question him on these issues) was far from sufficient. Bell knows it.
His book demonstrates it... He either didn't do his homework, or his methods were exceedingly poor. Either way this fundamental problem plagues the integrity of the rest of his text.
Some may be willing to dismiss it out of hand saying, "But he makes an ultimate point.'"
How can serious intellectuals look at this particular bit of work with anything other than at minimum some moderately skeptical suspicion for his most stretching claims?

ON THE KEVIN McCULLOUGH SHOW: 1. THE HEADLINE ITEMS: All things Lybia, no-fly zone, and how long we will be there lead the news hour today. First the Arab League was with the allies, now they're saying they oppose the actions. Additionally, President Obama is sight-seeing in Brazil, much to the chagrin of lawmakers at home. And Japan is now dreading the sight of spring weather. Disagreements with me here: 877.572.8446. 2. THE PRACTICAL DILEMMA: Middle-Schoolers robbing a Pizza Man that is delivering pizza to their classes. Parents at the school want action, and two of the five boys have yet to be identified. Speaking of Public Schools, don't let them pick up your kids via the bus. Your bus driver might be texting-while-driving... a thousand times or so. Your calls at 877.572 8446. 3. ON THE BALDWIN/McCULLOUGH MegaCast: 1. NBC News reported this week that increasingly parents, in their attempt to limit reckless use of alcohol are turning to an unusual source to educate their children... the home. Does consuming a moderate amount of alcohol on holidays or special occasions in the confines of your home, make your kids more likely to drink uncontrollably at college? Or will it give them discernment in knowing the difference and the limits to drunkenness? 877.573.8446. 2. So a dad comes home to find that his kids are bullying a neighbor boy because he wears glasses, the exact same thing he was bullied for when he was a kid. So this dad promptly takes his kids... to the police, has them arrested for assault, sells their car and horse (prized possession), and it works. The dad now says he might not do it the next time, because of how hard it was. Here's the question... could YOU have done the same thing? 877.573.8446. ON THE KEVIN McCULLOUGH SHOW: 1. THE HEADLINE ITEMS: If the election were to be held today HE would be our next President. He leads nearly every poll that has been taken in head to head match-ups against President Obama, and he has since a year ago last February. He joins us today and talks about "Simple Government" - 12 things we need from Washington, and a trillion that we don't. And it's our exclusive visit with the highest rated weekend host in all of Cable news, Fox News Host, Gov. Mike Huckabee visits with us starting at 8:08am EST. Don't miss it. Disagreements with me here: 877.572.8446. 2. THE PRACTICAL DILEMMA:
Moving the News Hour up a bit today to make room for our special guest, we will talk, the "No Fly Zone" for Lybia, and hear from Marc Rubio as to why it might be too late. ON THE KEVIN McCULLOUGH SHOW: 1. THE HEADLINE ITEMS: The news hour: the latest from Japan, the fear of Nukes on our own shores, the latest on the Nukes in Japan. PLUS did the U.S. pay a families a bribe out of a Sharia Law? It appears as though U.S. authorities buckled to Pakistan, paid of Sharia observers 2.3 million dollars, and barely lifted a finger towards actual serious negotiation. The White House under tough questioning for defending the NCAA brackets, and the problem with the average Obama celebrity supporter... Disagreements with me here: 877.572.8446. 2. THE PRACTICAL DILEMMA: A new website for students at the University of Chicago is encouraging random sexual hook-ups without any commitment. Now... explain to me why none of the women in the news story would be in favor of it, while nearly all the men were. Shouldn't this in and of itself be the biggest red flag of all? At least he's focusing on other things that are of extreme importance. Also... did you know that if you're a multi-millionaire playing professional football, you're in essence--a slave? Another look at what government controlled health care will cost families. And finally, how to handle the bully... once and for all. Disagreements with me here: 877.572.8446. 2. ON THE KEVIN McCULLOUGH SHOW: 1. THE HEADLINE ITEMS: Wild assumptions about the demise of nuclear energy may be the rage in some coverage of Japan, but authorities are beginning to show up the news coverage with evidence that nuclear power is STILL the preferred, and likely safest form of overall energy expansion we could pursue. And evidently it looks like the administration agrees. Bonus: Japan had no looting. And those of our finest who had been exposed are in the all clear. Disagreements with me here: 877.572.8446. 2. THE PRACTICAL DILEMMA:"We want to make sure these kids know they did something wrong," said Lampitt, a Democrat. "However, we don't want to send them off to jail. ON THE KEVIN McCULLOUGH SHOW: 1. THE HEADLINE ITEMS: Project Veritas and James OKeefe have released the next video in the series of NPR conversations. In this one the NPR rep promises to cover up a $5million gift from a front group for the Muslim Brotherhood. Also Janet Napolitano is unaware of "gun walking" along our border. In Wisconsin, you know things get crazy when Uncle Jesse shows up. And lastly Newt Gringrich explains his philandering from his past, due to loving the country so much. I don't get it, maybe you will. Disagreements with me here: 877.572.8446. 2. THE PRACTICAL DILEMMA:
22 African American men gang rape an 11 year old girl, who then brags about it on her facebook. Speculation in some news sources claim race was a factor.
