Listen "LIVE" - 2-4p EST
Listen ON DEMAND anytime!

2pm:
As many adults believe in UFO's, ghosts, and the like - as are fans of America's pastime. They do so - because they seek to fill a spiritual void. Liberals are twice as likely to believe in such as conservatives. And Catholics and non-religious are the MOST likely to believe. CATHOLICS? Nearly half believe in ESP. Nearly one in four Americans believe they HAVE seen a ghost. I can never recall EVER having a discussion about this with anyone. Yet there are those instances that go unexplained. And evidently the phenomenon is growing. Seeking spiritual contact in an utterly Godless existence. The real dilemma is knowing how to respond to those who claim such. 800.345.WMCA.

2:30pm:
Dr. Alveda King, the niece of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., joins us to explain why she decided to relent and join Rev. Al Sharpton's "National Black Out Day" this coming November 2 - to repent and pray for the unborn children who are being executed every single day. Dr. King may also weigh in on the Obama/McClurkin dilemma. 800.345.WMCA.

2:45pm:
Courts decide that underage sex for minors is not abusive, but that schools must report underage sex contact - under the age of 14 that is... Yeah... wishful thinking on that endeavor - we can't even get Planned Parenthood to report statutory rapes of girls by 27 year old men. kmc@wmca.com.

3pm:
Eduardo Verastegui the leading man, producer, and visionary of the movie "Bella" that opens this weekend will join us with a look at the film that took the "People's Choice Award" at the Toronto Film Festival. (Of 5000 films submitted, only 300 get viewed, and only 1 wins this coveted title. It is also usually a precursor to the Oscars.)

3:20pm
Adults view children more as accessories - than people, thus the idea that "they won't give up their life" to fit them in - is now epidemic. Brangelina and their babes have moved to and fro such places as New York, New Orleans, Los Angeles, Chicago and Prague on top of reports they are searching for Spanish stomping grounds. "It would appear that they are attempting to have the children fit into their lifestyle as opposed to them amending their lifestyle to meet the needs of their children," said marriage and family therapist Sloane Veshinski. Some of the couples that run in my personal circle of friends REALLY, TRULY wrestle with the idea of how much of "life" they must do without once the children come. It breeds bad kids, it really is the product of a society that is "me' focused. And it DEhumanizes the children. 800.345.WMCA.

3:55pm: The McCULLOUGH PUNCH
Romney vs. Clintons on family values!

Seems you forgot...
...to mention that she has adopted three children from Third World orphanages...

....seems you forgot to mention that she has worked on behalf of refugees and Dafur through the UN....

....seems you forgot to mention that she founded the National Center for Refugee and Immigrant Children...

I'm sure it was merely an oversight on your otherwise insightful and penetrating rant.

Did you even listen to the show Eileen
Or do you just start ranting yourself - out of ignorance?
Jerilyn Branscome writes: Saturday, October, 27, 2007 6:20 AM
House vs. Home
A house is just a building and it can easily vanish. A home is a connection between people.

I speak from first-hand knowledge as an Army brat. I can't begin to tell you how many times we moved -- sometimes three or four times in one year. But our parents were 100% committed to their children.

If these are good, devoted, loving parents, then the children are indeed blessed to be able to see the world.

What you are really trying to do is get on the right wing "Hollywood Is Bad" band wagon.

And I listened to some of your program yesterday and I didn't hear you list the accomplishments Eillen posted.
Chris Manfred writes: Saturday, October, 27, 2007 7:11 AM
Well said, Jerilyn.
Many people learned that lesson this week.

I have read and listened to McC long enough to learn this much: he's very bright and has all his ducks in a row. However, his comments are never what they seem. That's what makes him interesting.

You are right that this is that silly old Hollywood bashing and has nothing to do with raising children. He will bash movie star's parenting style because the GOP needs to make "Hollywood" a buzz word again.

He'll never mention failures of parenting on the GOP side: Newt, Cheneys, Reagans.

Last week's religious tirade about Obama and the black evangelicals had nothing to do with God,faith, etc. It was all because the right is terrified that Obama is doing so well in South Carolina.

Come back often. He's one of the more interesting bloggers on this site. But, just keep in mind that he's much brighter than he might at first appear.
Baby Karl writes: Saturday, October, 27, 2007 8:41 AM
thats because jerilyn the program wasn't
really about Brangelina. Their story in the headlines was just the springboard to discuss what I see to be a much larger issue being the way we compartmentalize our kids as accessories now - we make them adjust to our way of life, as opposed to the idea of selflessly adjusting our schedule to benefit them.

Eileen wrote as though I did some hit piece expose on Brangelina - which I really didn't - merely using what had been reported, I talked more about personal friends of mine who wrestle with this same dilemma MORE than I discussed Pitt/Jolie.

And since you listened - then you indeed know that I did.

Manfred...did I mention democrat parents
Please point out to me in the Branjelina section of my show or blog where I mentioned prominent Democrats. You pointed out that I didn't mention prominent GOP'ers but you imply that I made it a partisan issue.

Which is a lie by implication on your part.

I spoke more of my own personal friends (who do happen to be republican and independent) than I did even of the headline couple that I spring-boarded from.

I appreciate your back handed compliments... I think. But honestly - you were screaming boogey-man on this one - and there was none!
