Feeling the love... The Georgian crisis with Russia is something that gives everyone in Europe cause for pause, but consider how the rest of Europe has responded. Instead of cowering to Putin's muscle, the leaders of other likely Russian aspirations not only all met with the Georgian government with strong solidarity, but are making overt gestures to the U.S. even now when it could cause the Russian sore to become even more inflamed. A missile defense deal with Poland signed and in effect, now Ukraine is offering up old Soviet facilities for the U.S. to do something similar. If Russia suffers from paranoia about freedom edging too closely to its border, it seems it has taken exactly the wrong actions to slow its process.

Thank God for the big, evil Russians! The cold war is back! (At least, until November.) |
|
Defend the evil-doers... Support the abortion backers... Encourage the redefinition of marriage...
And generally ALWAYS appear to be on the side that opposes whats best for America...
Sad life you live. |

....it's a wonderful life! Great wife, terrific kids, new fence! Thanks for your concern!
Scarcasm aside, I am right: propping up the image of a villan where there is none will do wonders for the GOP in November.
Sorry you can't address the point in a meangingful way and must resort the juvenile name-calling, but the fact remains that I'm right on this one. |

I described what you consistently DO across your posts on Townhall.
No name calling Pat... go back and READ. |

Kevin, after a year + of the guilty pleasure of reading your blog, I have an observation for you. You are not a conservative.
You, Kevin, and most of the Townhall writers, are an Evangelical/Born Again, "Values Voter," Neo-Con. As such, you are lightyears away from anything even slightly resembling a true conservative.
I am a true conservative, in the Goldwater mold: individual rights, an absolute 100% commitment to the Bill of Rights and the concept of a 3X divided government, tight borders, hesitant foreign policy.
In other words, the exact opposite of Little Boy Bush and you, his chorus of apologists, have created in this country.
You support a failed President who has done exactly the opposite of almost every concept of conservatism: he has urinated all over the Bill of Rights and the division of powers; he has spent money like a drunken sailor; and (his biggest failure) he has an agressive foreign policy while happily ignoring our own borders.
This is YOUR President, the one in whom you have invested countless hours and bandwidth in defending. This is not a conservative President.
At least know who and what you are. |
