How many times do we have to say it?
You want to ruin a perfectly nice place, just elect liberals and watch things get flushed right down the sewer. And since Governor Spitzer seems intent on fulfilling his liberal legacy - no one should be surprised.
Just watch him - he'll ruin business opportunity and commerce. He'll raise state taxes - even though his budget for this year eclipsed $124,000,000,000. (That's BILLIONS folks...)
And now he's in such near heat-like envy of John Corzine's very own sewer system - otherwise known to you and me as Atlantic City - that's he's insisting on taking the peaceful and serene Catskills and creating a sort of gambling addict's port-a-potty.
It will be done with "Steamroller's" (a self inflicted nickname the governer has attributed to himself) iron clad fist pounding upon the good people of New York. All the while making the same promises that every Governor makes whenever he expands legalized gambling in their state, "looky at all da money dat we could rake in..."
That's right folks - another $100,000,000 to blow, waste, misappropriate - if the state ever actually sees it to begin with...
But just think of what it else it could mean for the sleepy mid-acreage of the Empire State. Hmmm, a definitive increase in rape, murder, and violent crime. Random, unclaimed corpses turning up without I.D. Long, completely unattractive tracts of depressed housing. MORE DRUG ADDICTION! And oh yes, greater ease for those who already have lost everything they have to completely and totally destroy what little life they have left. It's just every state's deam isn't it?
And get this - Steamroller even got the hoodwinked Indian tribe (St. Regis Mohawks) to waive the normally destination attractive options for business on the casino property - like no sales tax on purchases of gasoline, food, and "entertainment."
The only chance this thing has of being stopped is for the Federal Government to refuse, and what are the chances you believe that is likely given Hillary's and Schumer's prominence on capitol hill?
