Do you even know what a stem cell is. Do you know where you can get them from? Did you know you spew a few thousand of them when you sneeze |

How is it an issue? That was a very misleading headline. That is worse than accusing me of supporting big tobacco because I have an index fund of the S&P 500. I think the point may have been to to enlighten some of the huckabigots who only read anti-Romney pieces to salve their closed mindedness since the politico article was clearly anti-huck. |
|
To me neither one of these is really an issue.
Do you know all the companies that are imbedded in your mutual funds? 401k? I sure don't. So to say that Romney "partially owned" a company is a real stretch.
Similarly, if Huckabee was interested in a company for its work with diabetes (understadable given his past health history), that doesn't necessarily mean he espouses all the research a company does, especially considering how many different interests many of these huge companies have.
So, if I watch NBC TV, who is owned by GE, I personally am contributing to acid rain in the northeast because GE make equipment that goes in certain plants that contribute to it? Likewise, I drive a car, which uses gas, which may have originated from a terror-sponsoring state, ergo, I am a personal sponsor of terror? Give me a break. |

...is not stem-cell research per se, but rather the type of research this company did. Romney supports stem-cell research as long as it is not embryonic. President Bush's view has won the day, and you can just hear the left gnashing their teeth. Mitt Romney's view matches the President's.

Kevin,
The answer is clearly "a", because "b" is not even an option. This is undeniably true, in spite of your transparent attempt to smear Romney with a question you shouldn't even be asking.
Do you not understand what a blind trust is? The relevant quote from the linked article is "Unbeknownst to [Romney], he had between $100,000 and $250,000 in stock in Novo Nordisk in a blind trust that was made public this summer." Please focus on "unbeknownst" and "blind trust."
If the owner of a blind trust has control over the investments, then it can hardly be called a blind trust, yet that is what you are implying. Your comment makes as much sense as me saying "Kevin McCullough supports abortion", and then justifying it by saying that you pay taxes and some tax dollars go to Planned Parenthood. |
|
Romney "owned" stock in the company through a blind trust over which he had zero decision making ability. He found out about his ownership from the same newspaper articles the rest of us did. He set up that blind trust to prevent any conflicts of interest for his presidential run.
Huckabee on the other hand took money from the company with his eyes wide open.
I have a difficult time believeing you don't know this story so it leaves one to wonder...
Question: Which is worse? (Please answer in comment section) a.) Deliberately leaving out critical information... b.) Leaving out information because you are unable/too busy to read the whole article you sourced...
|
|
BOTH ACCUSATIONS ARE UTTERLY STUPID AND INSIPID...
And to the commenter who claimed I was smearing one of the candidates...
Did you say the same thing to Hugh this morning when he took the equally cheap shot at Huck over the issues listed above?
The dude spoke about diabetes, weight loss, and health improvement... |

Kevin,
Each night you must pray for Hewitt's health and safety, because without him and his commentary, you apparently have nothing to say. Please, get your own life on TownHall and at Muscle Beach. |

Because it was the analyst who shall not be named that stated that anyone who disagreed with him on substance - should not be trusted... |

Kevin, I was a Romney supporter till I actually researched his record. Thank you for pointing out the hypocrisy of Hugh Hewitt (it's NAUSEATING), Ann Coulter and the other Mitt-puppets!!! While they're straining to find any minute dirt on Huck, they're ignoring GAPING FLAWS with the liberal-judge-appointing, taxes-as-bad-as-Arkansas, the-judges-made-me-do-same-sex-marriage, flip-flopping Romney! Since Townhall has no Huckabee supporters, I'm thankful you at least have the guts to point out the obvious. It gives me encouragement that Hugh has not yet created a total censorship at Townhall (but I'm not holding my breath). This is one dumb sheep who is learning to disagree with the New Media as much as I do the Old. |

If you do not know what it means, it takes 2 seconds to find out. |
