Is this the equivalent in 2007/08 to the South Carolina sliming that took place in 2000? Maybe..
The hacker put this where McCain's contacts had been:
"Dear Supporters, Today I announce that I have reversed my position and come out in full support of gay marriage … particularly marriage between two passionate females."
But in TRUTH, McCain voted against marriage - not ONCE but TWICE. He did so at the peak of the debate over activist judges - and their boldness in locking out "We The People" (i.e. the states) from having the right to determine for ourselves what and how marriage should be defined. And WHILE he did so, he rather lamely explained that it was for reasons of federalism. Which was a mute point given that the judges were running roughshod over the state's rights.
In addition with the "Gang of 14" he also saw to it that the federal benches were not able to be filled in a timely manner...
The hack couldn't have happened to a more opportune candidate!
