Hope in what? This exclamation of sudden patriotism is as vapid as the entire campaign message of her husband.

What kind of issues are bringing peeps together? Alright - Americans want Hope and Change... about what, to what, instead of what?

Can somebody tell me what she is proud of? That democratic silly-hearts who can't even tell you one positive achievement Obama has accomplished are going support her husband in a campaign where he's articulated only the platitudes of hope and change and put no meat on bones as to how he would accomplish them except to tax the living daylights out of every single working man and woman?

You know...
...hardly a week goes by where I at least once pause for a moment and reflect on how lucky I am to live here.

And I've had numerous, uncountable times where I've felt proud of my country and it's people.

How shallow are you that you only feel proud of the country when it gets behind a stuffed shirt candidacy of platitudes and flowery boiler plate?

There was nothing before this in your life that you were proud of?

Methinks you will regret this statement.

I am hopeful that Obama's
lack of experience and accomplishment as a legislature in IL and in the US Senate, will lead americans to understand the audacity of leadership requires a man like McCain in the whitehouse. I am eager to be united under the belief that the next commander in chief is not a new comer who plagerises his so called "great speeches" and when called on it, does not offer an apology but rather a man who has served this great country in war time and in peace time demonstrating the experience and accomplishments needed at this time in world history. I have faith that americans know the difference between a historic candidate and a candidate who is on the right side of history. Exactly what qualifies Obama to become the president? The great plagerized speeches. Shame, shame shame!

Just one?
I'll give you four:

Bill S.1194: Nuclear Regulatory Commission forced to track rule rods.

Bill S. 1426: extended the Safe Drinking Water Act.

Bill S. 1920: put diesel standards into the Clean Air Act.

Bill S.2988: Better vets benefits.

Now that you have the facts, if you continue to say Obama has done nothing in the Seanate you will be a LIAR!

Obama has sponsored or co-sponsored 152 bills in the last Congress.

Analysis
People who love war and can't wait for the next one will vote for McCain. They are called "Republicans". Everybody else will vote Democrat. Republicans believe it would be easier for them to beat Hillary than Obama so they don't miss a chance to trash Obama; on another board somebody is claiming that Obama had gay sex with his cocaine dealer in 1999 (that would be when he was an Illinois Senator). Others claim he is a Muslim plant waiting to infiltrate the United States government. Everybody knows this is political BS---what Republicans want to do is to stop Obama's momentum so that Hillary will win the nomination, then they can destroy Hillary in the general election, leading to another 4, 8, 16 years of Republican rule, after which our country as we know it will no longer exist. We will see more wars (possibly nuclear), more national debt, no inspection of contaminated food and dangerous drugs, continued secrecy, an end to international cooperation, continued smashing of the Separation of Powers, dissolution of our social programs, dissolution of our middle class, but every favor and protection to the owners of Big Business and the other Ultra-Rich.

No Soul
Michelle (or is it "Michael"?) Obama said we also don't have any soul, and that's it's government's job to restore our soul.

I checked my kitchen: no soul food.
I checked my closet: no soul clothes.
I checked my MP3 collection: no soul music.

Open Comment to B. HUSSEIN Obama: When can I expect my SOUL REPARATIONS CHECK to arrive in the mail?

Yeah, that's what I thought...."the sun always shines on TV...."

lilly, I can assure you
there will not be a B. Hussein presidency in the United States of America. Let me simplify it for you, B. Hussein is the candidate who makes us all feel good because we can finally say "we are not racist" and that "we gave a bi-racial man equal opportunity to compete with a white woman and he won". But make no mistake about it, when Obama goes against McCain - americans will distinguish between a man whose candidacy is historic and a man who is on the right side of history. McCain will keep all the states Bush won in 2004 and he may even turn CA and CO red. Either way, republicans win. Do not confuse emotional outbursts of guilt with the wisdom voters exercise when voting for a commander in chief. In the mean time the audacity of hope wrapped up in fear mongering about how terrible this country is and has been will have another 5-6 months of press releases before americans elect President McCain.

Cold Hard Truth, it's Mrs. B. Hussein
and the reparation checks will arrive in the first 100 days of B. Hussein's presidency. I am also anticipating the 40 acres and a mule (or is it BMW?). After he is done with issuing the reparation checks, he will take his pilgrimage to mecca and ask his christian pastor who ascribes to Farakhan's teachings to accompany him during his middle east tour where he will ask Iran and Iraq citizens to forgive the USA for all the errors committed by the infidels who came before him and did not know any better. After these assurances are made, the peace treaty between USA and Jihadists will be signed making this the happiest place on earth because B. Hussein will have solved ALL AMERICAN PROBLEMS and kept his election promises.
Sarah writes: Tuesday, February, 19, 2008 1:02 AM
lilly, what bill has the democratic
congress or senate passed to improve on "wars (possibly nuclear), more national debt, no inspection of contaminated food and dangerous drugs, continued secrecy, an end to international cooperation, continued smashing of the Separation of Powers, dissolution of our social programs, dissolution of our middle class, but every favor and protection to the owners of Big Business and the other Ultra-Rich". As far as I know NONE. Also, the Ultra-rich are the people who create wealth so that middle class americans can become shareholders in big wealthy corporations where they invest their pension plans and retirement investments. We hold these truths to be self evident that "all men are created equal and endowed...". THIS MEANS WE DO NOT OWE ANYBODY ANYTHING EXCEPT THE FREEDOM TO WORK AND EARN AN HONEST LIVING - HOW ABOUT THAT FOR EQUALITY AND EQUAL OPPORTUNITY?
Sarah writes: Tuesday, February, 19, 2008 1:10 AM
"The Pet Goat" were the bills passed?
and what was the final version of the bill? Unfortunately for B. Hussein co-sponsoring bills for 3.5 is not evidence that he will bring change because he represents the future which is not definitely the past. The most damning thing about Obama is that he voted to withhold funding for troops when they were in the middle of battle. Any man who plays politics with the lives of our military men does not demonstrate the judgement required to be commander in chief. As commander in chief - he is expected to defend our nation against all enemies foreign and domestic and this means funding our military when they are at war. B. Hussein is a losing proposition for president and come this fall we will remind americans why he is an unnecessary risk not worth taking and why he is not JFK and why his plagerized speeches are not a good criteria for making him the on-the-job-training-president!

Michelle Obama
She is a lovely and well spoken lady!! She's just so wrong. They are extreme socialists. But I would love to have them as neighbors and friends, just not running the country. I believe they are sincere and well meaning.....but that won't compensate for the damage that would be done to America and the World if he were elected. They are riding a wave that's a backlash to the Bush derangement syndrome.
Pretty much I think the voting public is ignorant. Ask the average person a question about government or politics and they answer in whatever the popular slogan of the day is and have no idea what it means.
Does anyone with a brain believe they or Hillary can give them everything to make them happy? Give them a soul? Talk about the dumbing down of America. It is a feat complete.

I don't see
what the big deal is about what Mrs. Obama said.Obama's broad based support is an amazing step forward in this country no matter how misguided.People are supporting Obama because they want an advocate in the highest office in the land. Issues aren't important to these people because he's a generic lib and that will translate to liberal policy. His appeal to young people is based on the fact that he is seen as the permissive parent and won't be judgemental of people's personal behavior. This is one of the things young people hate about republicans. Liberals in general hate personal responsibility and today's younger generation don't want to hear any lip about their reckless lifestyles.Mccain isn't a social conservative so he won't be making any judgements on things such as promiscuity, fatherless families etc. This is very agitating to the soc. conservative wing of the republian party and it's why the Huckster is still on life support. Huck gave us John McCain as the nom. His victory in Iowa completely derailed Romney's candidacy. Now he's completely blown his goodwill within the party with his self agrandizzing spoiler role in the race.

Obama gives me a reason
to cast my vote for McCain, the one Republican candidate I said I would NEVER vote for. The more I see of Mr. Hope-and-Change, and the more I see of his wife, the more I think I may be compelled to recant my previous position and vote for John McCain who represents the absolute most leftist of Republicans.

Anita Salsedo, I think you are exactly correct: The Obamas would be terrific people to live next door to. But in terms of leading a country, Obama offers NO EXPERIENCE whatsoever that indicates he is ready to assume command. As many have said here, if he were a WHITE first-term Senator with a few years of state legislative experience, expounding nothing but platitudes and rhetoric, his campaign would have died quietly last April.

I am so sick of hearing Obama and Clinton complain about rich people -- when they themselves ARE rich people. I don't see Clinton or Obama voluntarily paying another $25,000 or $50,000 in taxes, which the IRS WOULD gladly accept. Rich people, in this country, make it possible for millions to pay no taxes at all, and millions more to pay only a tiny speck. I say "long live rich people, and may I someday be among them!" The last thing anyone -- rich or middle class or even poor -- in this country needs is more socialism from Obama and Clinton.

Making illegal phone calls
I and other folks in Wyoming received a spate of recorded messages from Michelle Obama asking to listen to her husband's message. I didn't listen to it, but it is illegal in Wyoming to make those recorded calls to folks. I guess a little thing like legality doesn't really matter to a lib.
