 "...look he's a MOOOORRRRMMMAANNNN!"
Based on Rudy and Huck's new friendship, McCainiacs' anti-Mormon bigotry just confirms who the true front runner in the GOP Primary really is.
Sad... you would expect better from those who support him.
And HE should be much more adamant in distancing himself from such support!
You guys are either liars or idiots. If I had to choose, I'd say "both".
from the very link you posted: UPDATE IV: I spoke again tonight with my source in Iowa who received the call and he agreed to go public. His name is Marcel Kielkucki and he teaches American government and American history at a community college in Cedar Rapids.
"That is why I usually answer polls," Kielkucki explained.
He's inclined to support Mike Huckabee right now, but said McCain is his second choice. |

McCain's campaign, which has fielded calls into their Iowa headquarters complaining of similar such calls, emphatically denies responsibility.
"Senator McCain strongly rejects this style of campaigning and we have absolutely no involvement whatsover," said Jon Seaton, McCain's top aide in Iowa. |

are you just putting the puzzle together based on the anti-mormon comments his mother made on TV with him sitting next to her?
i could see this coming from mccain, since he's desperate and was the recipient of push polling in 2000. maybe from huckabee, since he's a long shot and has the most to gain from taking out romney. but not thompson or giuliani. there's no need for them to go to these levels. |

Unless someone has evidence one way or the other, it is futile to speculate. Do research, find out the answer. But don't taint another candidate with speculation that has no basis in fact. |

Did Mitt guarantee you some official position should he win?
Listen, if Mitt didnt' know that he had WAY bigger problems than mormonism, he wouldn't have put it out there for sacrifice so early on...
All this "bigot" talk is running thin. Newsflash, NO ONE in their right mind thinks that the "if you don't like Romney, you're a bigot" club in the bag would take him through the primary. And NO ONE gives a hoot about the fact that he's a mormon. M for "moderate" is the problem dear, not m for mormon.
Being an extreme moderate from Massachusetts. THAT is his problem and HAS BEEN from the get-go...that and he's too "slick" by half.
If he wins the primary, Hillary wins the general. Period, end of report. |

Are you on the MassResistance payroll? By the way - I've not endorsed ANYONE yet. If you read this blog you know I've written 2 to 1 the number of articles about FRED than I have Mitt. |

LOL. I'm not on anyone's payroll...although I should be...stay-at-home moms are notoriously underpaid.
What has been frustrating for many is that we seek out alternative forms of information and still find that certain drum beats (READ: "If you don't like Mitt, you're a bigot) transcend forums. This indicated from the beginning that it's root stemmed from the Romney campaign itself.
Romney is an "r" who got elected in Massachusetts...by definition, that BEGS the question "why?" As such it took our little politically active group all of a week to resesarch & know what Romney was about, and that was back in March. As such, Jackson's article was no big surprise.
Now, if a bunch of podunk stay-at-home moms can figure that out...and can back it up...imagine what the Clinton machine has planned. Both Rudy & Romney have taken shots across her bow and so far the only response has been the "I am woman" tripe. This tells us that they don't mind if either is the opponent b/c they're locked & loaded waiting to lambaste the electorate month after month until November of 2008 like they did last year...
Mitt is a moderate and the more people who know about it going in, the less disillusioned they'll be (read: apathetic) should he make it past the primaries. As I stated elsewhere, in order to win next year, the base needs to drag 20 people with them to the polls...Romney will never inspire this. But what do I know, I'm just a stay-at-home mom... |
