A North Carolina program called College Bound Sisters pays girls $1 a day to not get pregnant. The money goes into a college fund for the girls who must "
attend 90-minute meetings every week at which they receive lessons in abstinence and the use of contraceptives."
The program has a high success rate and "recent graduates have left the program with up to $3,000 saved up for college."
If "costs associated with teen pregnancies exceed $9 billion annually," perhaps $365 a year going to a college fund in order to encourage a girl to remain abstinent a good idea?
