Not black enough...

Leave it to the hysterical editorial voices of the Chicago Tribune, influenced by some of the worst muckrakers in all of politics from the Chicago's Southside Black Democrat plantation to be up in arms over whether SNL got a someone DARK enough to portray Obama in a COMEDY sketch...

It also portends racial snobbery - after all Armison (the actor who looked the most like Obama of the current SNL cast) is Hispanic and Asian - far cry from whitey-white.

But the hysterical politically correct yappers who are complaining about SNL's choice are forgetting that OBAMA is more WHITE than Armison.

Barack's not black. My adopted Haitian son is BLACK!!!! (Darker skinned than most American blacks.)

Barack is mulatto, creamy caramel,  a racial mutt. As are most of us...

Chicago's Tribune, Sout'side, and other hypersensitive chihuahuas need to find other tires to chase...

How Dare You
Seek safety in your words by alleging most of us are mixed. I'm not--I am white, through and through, and I am proud of what I am. Unlike Obama I do not have to pick and choose. Many Mulatto's have their ancestry during slavery to point to as the source of their mix. Many know the mix was not by choice but by force. Not so Mr Obama, his Mother chose and now Obama has chosen--but not his Mother (who raised him) or her race but instead the man who abandoned him at 2 years of age. Good choice Obama, your Mother must be real proud of you. The whole family is weird.

Why Obama's Half Whitey Doesn't Count
For all of the racial optimists who see Obama as half whitey, the news is that half whitey doesn't count, and never did in American society.

So, whether he is half white or half black is irrelevant. In choosing a black wife, only the black part counts and as we've been told, time and again, blacks don't think like whites.

The Obama white half has yet to be heard from in this election exept by mannerism, the only part that counts to him as an advantage, in that he can use the white part to be attractive to whites.

No progams or specificies have been made, by speech or by debate, that signal an affinity or a loyalty to white voters. In fact, all of the social justice rhetoric informs that Obama loyalties are to money interests first, to black interests second, and to the rest of the nation third. Just what doesn't everyone get by his audacious displays following his audacious presumptions in his book about audacious power?

You are confused by the difference in ethnicity and race. Of course the Democrats hope that is exactly what we all do. Hispanic is an ethnicity, not a race. Many South American Hispanics are in fact Caucasian; they come from Italy, Germany, Portugal, Holland, Spain, etc., they are Hispanics now because many of their families have lived in their South American country as long as my family has lived here in the USA. Some many generations ago my family was ethnically English and Scots. We long ago lost that link. We are now Caucasian Americans.

You are outdated, my friend. People are encouraged to pick a race on the census form for demographic purposes. A mixed American is free to choose. You may still believe in the old Jim Crow rule but it is not valid.

Heaven help us!
Yesterday, on Fox News' Neil Cavuto Program, one of the subects was in regards to the parody of the Clinton/Obama debate on SNL. The black Woman whose name I don't recall was railing and going on and on about the individual who had portrayed Obama, warning that American Society had better be careful about portraying black people by white people in black face. Not once did this twit refer to Obama as being part white, which omission by her portrayed her as being a racist in her own right. What angers me the most about this whole racial thing about Obama is that Obama is playing the race card without lifting a finger as the gullible and lemmings soak up his left wing rehtoric as absolute Gospel. In other words, they are flocking to support Obama for no other reason than he is a so-called black, and for no other reason. Back in the days when this hyphenated name business began to catch on, I recall a newspaper article in which a person referred to himself as being Anglo-American. Oh, the hatred, the racism, the outrage, how dare he call himself Anglo-American, and the ones making the complaints? Yep, liberal white people, and these are the types you see rooting for Obama.

Heaven help us in the US of A !

You are so right!
You are so right Warrior! Good job here!

You may recall, during Desert Storm where some black agitators from the US of A visited Saddam Hussein seeking sympathy for their cause against those white Americans from those dark skinned Arabs, not knowing that these dark skinned Arabs were indeed considered Caucasian?

This will be a Messy Election Cycle
All it will take is for some liberal TV show that crosses the line or a surrgate to cross it and race bashing will become the issue.

I was concerned when Hillary was headed for Coronation, of the man vs woman issue, now it may be race.

I know, I know- John Sidney McCain III or Barack Hussien Obama Jr. will not lob the first punch but it will be one of their surrogates or a satire and the gloves will come off. Net result will be an ugly mud slinging contest where America loses and will continue to justify how the rest of the world views us.

Caucasian Americans??
I have to wonder what you think that means. Do you think that the Caucases are in West Virgina, or something? Because Europe is a vast plain that was swept by many migrations and invasions, Caucasian is a mixture of peoples. If it were not, you would be blue, as early English were reported to have been.
Warrior writes: Saturday, March, 01, 2008 5:55 PM
Race
Race is an issue, here are some of the reasons to support my contention.
1. Obama attends an Afro-centric church that preaches the White man has made America great off the backs of Blacks. This thinking by his minister and congregation is racial and subjective.
2. Obama attends a church that recognizes Louis Farrakhan as a great America and Black Leader. Obama has not distanced himself from his church, Louis Farrakhan, or the racist/anti-Semitic over tones espoused by Farrakhan or his minister.
3. There is no legal imperative for Obama to select Black as his race except political expediency, University acceptance points based on being a minority, and affirmative Action considerations. It certainly is not genetic demanded or out of fatherly love, his biological father abandoned him at age 2. His Father that made the genetic contribution to his race had virtually no impact on Obama's after the date of desertion.
4. Obama's position on reparations must be looked at based on the doctrine of his church of attendance. My best guess is Obama would favor reparations and post election is far too late to examine his position on that issue.
So, I believe race is an issue and it is because of Obama's choices and not any bias on the part of those seeking his thoughtful answers to questions he himself has created. I would be thrilled to question him on his racial choices and his Muslim religion versus his apostasy.

Wouldn't surprise me
if Hillary pulled this damn thing out anyway. The attacks from the right on Obama came too soon and might be giving people second thoughts about how bad he would be vs. McCain. I think there's a lot of arm twisting going on behind the scenes by old Dem power brokers who aren't comfortable with Obama.Plus there's lots of Clinton supporters who have millions invested in her winning.I'd bet anything she has thousands of straw donors. How else would she raise so much in Feb? The Dems don't want this over with because they don't have a general election strategy. They don't have that much to run on that's palatable to most Americans. The people supporting Obama would be supporting another Kerry also.In Obama's case they are caught up in the celebrity aspect of it. I expect the Hispanics in Texas to come out big for Clinton and that will give her enough reason to stick around through Pa.

Isn't it funny how the dems are burning up millions in ads and that's Ok but when Romney was doing it with his own money that was a problem?

Kevin,

Your comments about Obama not being Black are stupid; further, America's obession with race is crazy and sick.

As a proud African American, I find it curious how many white people are really confused, upset, and dumbfounded about Obama.

Scientifically Speaking
There is no such thing as race. It is a social construct erected by ignoramuses who notice small details about people and use them to feel better about themselves.

Humans can interbreed with each other, meaning we are all the same species and so close genetically there really are only miniscule differences.

That said, there are distinct differences in intelligence between people. This is reflected in the comments section.

Blue English
Just so this won't become some innane talking point, allow me to give a brief explanation. The early English peoples: the Picts, Celts and Angles were actually white skinned. They would, for some unknown reason however, dye themselves with blue dye before going into battle, which has given rise to the old stories of the "Blue Englanders". Now can we please get off this useless subject of race and discuss something that makes sence, like Obama's complete lack of governing experience?

Hillary comeback
Spidey is quite right. She will comeback. She cannot gain enough delagates to win the nomination outright (neither can Obama now) but if she can win Texas (which she might) and Ohio (which she will) then the race for the superdelagates will go to her and she will be the nominee. The Clinton war-machine is already bullying/threatening/arm-twisting (take your pick) the superdelagates now. Anyone who thinks that she is going to allow this upstart to take her place in history (which she believes is owed to her, of course) is deluding themselves. There is absolutly nothing that she will not do in order to secure her legacy as the architect of the return of liberal control of goverment to this country.
One Who Knows writes: Saturday, March, 01, 2008 11:06 PM
The word Caucasian
By the way: the word caucasian means 'one from the Caucases'. The Caucasian people of Russia were actually an interbred race of peoples. The white Scandinavians of the west, the yellow Asiatic peoples of China and Mongolia, and the olive peoples of the middle east all migrated to and conquered across this area for a thousand years leaving their genetic markers in their wake. In fact, the ancient Chinese historians called them the 'mongrel' people.

If there is no such thing as race, then why is Obama and his supporters referring to him as black, "first Black to run for President" ect? He certainly isn't black, nor white for that matter, but somewhere in between, therefore color shouldn't matter eh? But there are still many people who refer to people other than white as "People of Color",and many saying this aren't all white people.

Science has been able to track various people regardless of skin color to various parts of the world, through DNA. Right?

One other thing,I am 1/8 Choctaw Indian, if I should decide to run for President, would that make me the first Native-American to run for President?

Rainy writes: Sunday, March, 02, 2008 2:16 AM
Heh...
Warrior, Barack Obama is against reparations. You would have known that if you would have watched one of the earlier debates.

Barack Obama never brings up race and if people bring up race, it's he is a little darker than your average half white/half black person. That is only because his father was quite dark. Lenny Kravitz looks the same way and he's mixed race as well. Some mixed race people call themselves black because they identify with black people. Others, like Mariah Carey, do not. She calls herself 'biracial'. It's their right.

Barack Obama is a logical thinking person and if people can't think in logical ways about him then he probably doesn't need your support.
Warrior writes: Sunday, March, 02, 2008 9:11 AM
I Understand--Rainy
If I do not think like Obama, I am illogical. Obama does not speak of race but he is Black. How do you know that? You know the race of Mariah and you admit it is her choice/right to select, so I assume Obama selected his race. Since (according to you) Obama never speaks of race, how does everyone know his preferred niche in his genetic mix? Rainy, you had better face facts, race is and will be an issue--there are many people in this country that will not vote for a Black candidate. A lot of those people are former Southern Democrats and many still are Democrat. All this talk about race being off limits is nothing more than an effort to stifle debate and engage in wishful thinking. Obama's church selection alone would disqualify any White candidate that made a like selection. Race is an issue, Obama has made it an issue, now we must wait and see how that all develops. BTW I do not watch debates, they are tiresome, boring and disingenuous. Syrupy lies told by any candidate, Republican or Democrat, are distasteful on my morning pancakes.

Red Herring Alert...
Since Obama, Clinton, and McAmnesty are all bought and paid for by those who contribute--and they agree on everything but Iraq--isn't it interesting that we worry about whose parents are whose?
