There is a LOT of media cackling about Miley Cyrus' apology and pleas of embarrassment today over her racy-implication-preferred pictures slated for Vanity Fair.
Talk radio, the 24 hour news channels, and water coolers in offices across the country are a buzz with whether the fifteen year old means it, or whether its just a way to save face (and business.)
Our own Matt Lewis made some
rather significant observations about it this morning adding up to a big, "HUH?"
But Billy Ray and Mrs. Mullet aren't
the first parents to be on the scene when their daughter chooses to go over the edge...
Remember
DiLoh?
Now one can argue that allowing their 15 year old to go moderately topless with a sheet for a cover up and exposing the back is bad because that minor is looked up to by soooooo many other teenage girls, who undoubtedly will now begin to think showing even more skin is the way to go.
But I think the award for the more damaging parental skills still go to DiLoh, for allowing her 14 year old to be present at her sister's porn shoot.
Anyone that's ever been at a professional photo shoot knows that things get said, jokes get made, etc. If that happens when the subjects are fully clothed or at least in Miley's case - still fully covered, well...?
What kind of moronic parent do you have to be to allow an even more impressionable 14 year old to sit and drink it all in?
Sorry but in the Celebrity Parent Death Match today - loser still goes to DiLoh.
