This is the side of John McCain that constantly entices me to vote for him.
He and his aides were quick to articulate what we all should be saying as it relates to the Clinton/Obama "no" votes on the War bill - "they voted in favor of surrender!"
Said even more precisely - as I did for the better part of a hot NYC afternoon today, "Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama defiantly voted against sending a paycheck to the troops, the same troops protecting us from terror at this moment, and the same troops they hope to lead as the future commander in chief. So in essence they want soldiers to vote for them, and to someday lead them after voting not to pay them."
But the best line of the afternoon went to the McCain camp as has been heralded by Drudge since about 2:15pm EST: "Obama wouldn't know the difference between an RPG and a bong." (Neither would Hillary for that matter.)
Nice!
