A Georgian woman leaves her damaged home in Gori

I hope and trust that I'm not the only one watching and in great distress over the fact that from all signs it appears that Russia is about to absorb - not merely the tiny territory that started the flare up between Georgia and it's former tyrannical landlord - Russia, but that now it appears the Russians are ready to go after absorbing Georgia itself.

All this because Georgia likes the U.S. and wants to be part of NATO.

And unlike U.S. military advances that have brought freedom to 50 million Afghans and Iraqis - Russia will likely have no plans to surrender a conquered territory once they've raped her sufficiently.

we must do something
We seriously have to do something. I hope President Bush will respond to this as the first President Bush did when Sadaam invaded Kuwait.

Only US Leadership Can Stop This
Anyone hoping this is going to just go away are seriously misreading Russian intentions. They also are misreading or intentionally downplaying the humanitarian crisis the Russians have started.

The US can make the Russians pay a high price for this. We just have to have the will.

Beautiful
This must be some kind of wet dream for Dick Cheney. What a beautiful, perfect excuse to launch a military attack before the election.

Ouch!
The last thing I want to think of is Little Dick Cheney's naughty moments.

However, you're point is well taken: this is the only way the Republicans can possibly beat Obama.

Time to buy more stock in Halliburton and Blackwater!
