The better man from Hope (Arkansas) took the stage this morning during my gig as emcee. Mike Huckabee is a committed Southern Baptist Christian. He is a committed man of faith. He is a TRUE fiscal, and social conservative - AND he is a declared candidate for President in 2008.
He had one of the best lines of the day from his address this morning.
"We can't afford to elect people who simply reflect a culture and reflect a common view, but don't necessarily believe it," the former Arkansas governor said, indirectly referring to the three leading GOP candidates - Sen. John McCain of Arizona, former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani and ex-Gov. Mitt Romney of Massachusetts.
