It was highly ironic. Stephen and I were signing books and packing up gear from our live remote last night at one of our fabulous sponsors (GLYBooks.com) when StevieB got the word that ALEC was going to be on SNL with Sarah Palin.
As we were finishing up chatting with some local Long Island newspapers and New York Newsday, Stephen asks Peter and Liz (the owners of GLY) if they had a television handy.
By the time they had gotten to one - Stephen had already been given a record-setting audience shout out from McCain's number 2.
By the time I caught up to Stephen it was clear he did not know that he had been recipient of Gov. Palin's kind words...

Stephen left me a message today about an hour before posting this, relaying to me that his labeling of Barack Obama a "cultural terrorist" was continuing to create a rise in liberals, I'm sure it would have been encouraging for him to know that Gov. Palin thinks he's groovy...
