He's told many a whopper this campaign season, but today I saw coverage of portions of three different rallies. At each one he kept invoking the same thing.

"For the last eight years - we kept giving more and more to the wealthiest among us."

Now wait a second. Argue all you want about what percentage of graduated tax rates should or should not be (I personally believe ALL graduated tax rates to be immoral and made the clear case against them in my first book.)

But no one GAVE the wealthy earners anything...

They earned high salaries, because they held jobs that PAID them high salaries. In other words they put in a full days effort, and because they had the right experience, know how, intellectual capacity, and abilities - they convinced the companies they worked for to pay them "X" amount of dollars for those hours of service rendered. (Just like Michelle Obama did when the little scandal about her position at the public hospital had never paid more than $180,000 per year, but somehow she was able to get them to pay her $300,000 plus.)

Know how, experience, network, and capacity are all marketplace commodities and one SHOULD be able to make more money than someone else if they know the job better, have done it successfully, and achieve the objectives set before them.

Nonetheless - those people are still WORKING for what they get. And to think, as Barack Obama has been saying publicly for the last few days, that the American people were giving tax dollars to those earning in the top percentage is just a LIE!

Those people still pay MORE taxes than anyone else. And under the slightly reduced tax burden that they've enjoyed under the Bush economic plan - they still created more jobs, and more wealth for many additional citizens by re-investing their earnings into the workplace as well.

When THE ONE says "taking from the poor, and giving to the rich" he is flat out, 100% telling falsehoods, he knows it.

Further he doesn't care about truth and has not for months now...

Further his economic plan will bring about ruin to the poor people he has promised hope and change to - and he is either too dumb, or too dishonest to know it.

Neither scenario is especially hopeful in these challenging economic times.

THE LIES OF BARACK OBAMA
Yes, Barack Obama is a notorious liar. He has lied about (or tried to minimize) his many unsavory alliances with an eclectic collection of thieves, thugs, anti-American racist ministers, anarchist bombers and election-stealing crooks and liars in the ACORN mess. That is why I am voting for McCain/Palin. At least I can trust them!!

No Clue
Barack Obama has no clue - he does know how to create class distinction - taking his lead from characters like Wright, Phelger, Farrakhan.
Now with his Washington cohorts:
BIDEN/PELOSI/REID/DODD/FRANK/SCHUMER/KERRY/ACORN
he will finish off the America we all love.
The above mentioned bunch of socialists - including Obama - all extremely wealthy - they are all set - having gained much of their assets on the backs of every American.
On the other hand - we the people have to worry daily! And people with any sense know - freezing spending and sticking with businesses large and small is the only way to get our economy back on the fast track.
McCain/Palin 2008!

Lies Are Lies
Lies do not come in sizes. One lie may not affect you as much as another but that does not excuse the teller of the lie. A lie is a false statement knowingly said, written, or any other method communicated, that is portrayed as truth. To say something honestly believed to be true when told but later learned not to be true is to be wrong and an apology should be given. There can be no apology for lying, but an admission of guilt should be proclaimed. Liars, murderers, and thieves are the lowest forms of humanity. Public servants that lie, like Barney Franks and Chris Dodd, should be removed from office and excoriated for the rest of their lives.

Concealment
To hide from view or examination. In the military camouflage and smoke are used to conceal. Obama is a master at concealing , not himself, but his policies and the effect of his policies. This type concealment can be accomplished by acts committed or facts omitted. Let me give you an example: Suppose everyone was to do as Obama suggests and take voting day off from work. Malls, offices, small businesses, some emergency services , etc. would all be closed and the economy would suffer vast losses in revenue. Has Obama put a cost figure to his call for absenteeism? No! That is concealment by omission; it also demonstrates in knowing fashion Obama is ignorant and selfish. Selfish in that he is thinking only of his own votes and his future, ignorant to suggest such a loss of revenue in a time of economic pressures and uncertainty. As Reagan said: "It is not that liberals are ignorant, it is just that they know so much that is not true". I may have taken some minor liberties with the quote but not substantive ones.

THE LIAR & LIAR TICKET
IS IT WORTH IT?
No matter who you are and where you live, VOTE. A one time check will not be life changing! If Barack Obama were to get elected, the U.S. will be hurt beyond belief, period. Our Constitution won't be worth anything. Lots of people, especially first time voters with promise and potential have to think about signing up for life. 4-8 years is one thing, Barack Obama is another. THINK HARD! He will 'CHANGE' America.

FREEDOM AT STAKE
His campaign alone has been divisive, and vengeful; unless Americans are okay to ignore 'Freedom of Speech' gone, or the upcoming penalty for being not in praise of him. On the election trail alone, 'Joe the Plumber' took some heat for having the audacity to ask a question. Networks & Reporters walk on egg shells. 'Freedom of Speech' VOTE!

What's Obama/Biden calling rich today? 250 thousand? 200 thousand? 150 thousand? Guess?

The Operative Word
Mr. McCullough makes a key observation here; the operative word is "give." The Federal Government "gives" nothing; they only "take." It is a fantasy to regard a lower tax rate that "takes" less of your income as something that is "given" to those who have so much "taken" from them in the first place.

Obama talks about what he is going to "give" the poor and middle class. Obama has nothing to "give," all federal money is the property of the people. Barack Obama has become accustomed to treating it as his own however.

So Obama plays a subtle game of word manipulation when he infers that upper income earners are "given" anything. He has sinisterly created the picture that what they have the unfortunate deserve and he will "take" it from them and "give" it to you. But don't call him a Marxist, that would of course be racist.

BO -- Affirmative Action at Its Best
We have a candidate who choses to be black even though he is half white, who has never been challenged because he is black, seems to be more comfortable around marxists, goes to ivy league college, becomes a lawyer, part of the Chicago politican machine, marries a woman who hasn't been proud of being an American and makes a hugh salary after her husband becomes a state senator. Nobody is allowed to investigate this man or criticize him without being called a racist. He was born in Kenya but there is no outcry. He denies saying things that are on record. Yet, people want to vote for a man who promises to raise taxes and spend their hard earned money (those who work and actually pay taxes), and change the U.S. Constitution. He receives money from unknown sources and breaks campaigning rules because he is above the rules/laws. Jewish people want to vote for their own demise because they cannot vote republican. The irrational blind spots are just unexplainable. But affirmative action is what it is. And now it promises to destroy the U.S.A. It is a matter of time. We reap what we sow.

I will not debate your point regarding Bush, as you are entitled to your opinion. Unfortunately, the rest of your arguments speaks volumes about your possibility of "cutting off your nose to spite your face."

We should not vote to punish the past if our own future would be compromised or punished in the process. I vote based upon my own principles, beliefs, and, most importantly, how will my vote impact my family's future and that of the country's.

Voting to raise taxes on the (now, sliding-scale definition of) "rich" and small business owners will only cause less investment in business, lower tax revenues and higher unemployment. As a small business owner, who would be severely impacted by increases in income taxes, FICA, capital gains, dividends, health care penalties, I will be forced to terminate the jobs of many employees. There will be no severance packages.

My first responsibility as a responsible American is to protect my family and avoid bankruptcy. I will not bankrupt my family because of some tortuous legal position based on "political and economic justice."

Vote on principle and the future, not emotion.

On the Trail of the Liar!
Ali Abunimah, a Chicago-based Palestinian-American activist and co-founder of Electronic Intifada, a pro-Palestinian online publication, recalls introducing Obama at one such event, a 1999 fundraiser for the Deheisha Palestinian camp in the West Bank.

Abunimah is also a harsh critic of Israel and has protested outside pro-Israel events in the Chicago area.

"I knew Barack Obama for many years as my state senator – when he used to attend events in the Palestinian community in Chicago all the time," stated Abuminah during an interview last month with Democracy Now!, a nationally syndicated radio and television political program.

"I remember personally introducing [Obama] onstage in 1999, when we had a major community fundraiser for the community center in Deheisha refugee camp in the occupied West Bank. And that's just one example of how Barack Obama used to be very comfortable speaking up for and being associated with Palestinian rights and opposing the Israeli occupation," Abunimah said.

Abunimah also was recently quoted saying that until a few years ago, Obama was "quite frank that the U.S. needed to be more evenhanded, that it leaned too much toward Israel."

Abunimah noted Obama's unusual stance toward Israel, commenting "these were the kind of statements I'd never heard from a U.S. politician who seemed like he was going somewhere, rather than at the end of his career."

'Critical of U.S. bias toward Israel'

Abunimah previously described meeting with Obama at a fundraiser at the home of Columbia University professor Rashid Khalidi, reportedly a former PLO activist.

james writes: Wednesday, October, 29, 2008 11:03 AM
more on the trail....
"[Obama]came with his wife. That's where I had a chance to really talk to him," Abunimah recalled. "It was an intimate setting. He convinced me he was very aware of the issues [and] critical of U.S. bias toward Israel and lack of sensitivity to Arabs. ... He was very supportive of U.S. pressure on Israel.

According to quotes obtained by Gulf News, Abunimah recalled a 2004 meeting in a Chicago neighborhood while Obama was running for his Senate seat. Abunimah quoted Obama telling him "warmly" he was sorry that "I haven't said more about Palestine right now, but we are in a tough primary race."

"I'm hoping when things calm down, I can be more up front," Abunimah reportedly quoted the senator as saying.

Abunimah said Obama urged him to "keep up the good work" at the Chicago Tribune, where Abunimah contributed guest columns that were highly critical of Israel.

Obama's campaign headquarters did not reply to an e-mail request seeking comment on his fundraising activities for Palestinians.

Abunimah serves on the board of the Arab American Action Network, or AAAN, a controversial Arab group that mourns the establishment of Israel as a "catastrophe" and supports intense immigration reform, including providing driver's licenses and education to illegal aliens.

And you are how old? Your skills are probably topped out at their market max for earning in your area, which would explain why your salary hasn't increased that much recently. Add to that your benefits (health insurance, 401(k) matching etc.) and I'm sure you'll find that you earn more than you're saying-you just don't receive it all in your paycheck.

My own DH has prospered too in just that way-it took him twenty years to go from truck loader to president of the company. Obama had nothing to do with his success but will have everything to do with his-and your own-potential devaluing/termination because the cost of hiring you will be greater than the benefit of what you produce, thanks to higher taxes under Obama.

Already businesses are trying to downsize or sell outright in anticipation of an Obama administration. They know what's coming-higher taxes which results in higher cost of doing business, which will result in layoffs. This is helpful exactly how?

Keep taxes low. Vote McCain/Palin!

Until now, I gave no credence to the idea that he was not a "natural born citizen" as demanded by the Constitution.
Until now.
Until the governor of Hawaii "sealed" his birth certificate. NOW, I am suspicious. Why did she seal it? Why would anyone imagine that a birth certificate needs to be sealed? What is he hiding? VOTE NO to SOCIALISM
There is now no doubt whatsoever that Obama is, at the very least, socialist in his views, and very likely that is the philosophy that he will govern from.

The countless men and women who bled and died for this country, for freedom, to uphold the constitution deserve BETTER than to have Obama elected. They didn't die for 'redistribution of wealth'. That's not freedom. It's not freedom to take from those that work hard and to give it to those that sit on their butts.

They didn't die so that the media could abuse freedom of speech, spread propaganda, and suppress dissent.

A vote for Obama is the same as spitting on the graves of all our veterans. How DARE we disrespect their sacrifice by electing a radical to the highest office.
NAlcoba writes: Wednesday, October, 29, 2008 11:57 AM
And for you Obama supporters
Spew all you want. WE don't buy any of your arguments. Obama has no accomplishments to show for, no executive experience. The only thing we know about him is that his view of the country is not what made the US what it is today. The only thing we know is that he has no business experience whatsoever, yet he presumes to know better than seasoned businesspeople how to run their own businesses, and what to do with their own hard earned profits.

You can pretend he doesn't have experience by bringing up 'Bush this Bush that'. Bush isn't running for office. And any HONEST, intelligent person knows that McCain is so unlike Bush on major issues. So don't waste your time bringing up Bush. It's a lame argument and persisting with it just shows everyone how dishonest and stupid you are.

And the change argument looks good on a bumper sticker. But there is nothing new about socialism, and it has never worked anywhere it's been tried. It only seems new because people don't read history. If you think socialism is the change we need, then it shows your ignorance of history, or your neuroticism in thinking a failed, economically suicidal and socially murderous ideology will somehow work.

I think Obama's a nice guy. I just don't want him in the White House--even if he were white, striped, purple, I don't care--he's a socialist. He's not qualified. He's the last thing we need in an economic downturn.

You need to go back to school.
You won't, but check back in with us next year and let us know what your salary is doing. (You apparently expected it to stay on its early trajectory, so we expect it to be a couple of million. (Oh, when you check back, include the after-tax amount too)

Here's a compromise
Both dems and republicans should agree on this one issue: Barack Obama is not qualified to be president.

OK OK, I know what you dems are thinking. You guys like him. Fine. But really, I don't hear ANY dems HONESTLY saying their guy is qualified. They say Bush this, Bush that, McCain is old, Palin's not qualified, Barack's a great speaker, he'll help the US image abroad bla bla bla. But NO ONE really says he's experienced enough, or knows enough about the economy to be president. You'd be hardpressed to say the military finds him qualified, or WORTHY to be commander-in-chief.

So what to do.

Elect McCain. No one can say he's UN-qualified to be president. So republicans are happy.

Aww...I forgot the dems. What kind of compromise IS this anyway?

OK. Here's the compromise. President-elect McCain makes a HUGE announcement, sure to be approved by the democrat senate and house. Appoint Barack Obama to the ambassadorship of the UN, with the express intent, and with the full blown support of Soros and the media, to make him the next Secretary General of the UN. That's bigger than president right? His approval around the world is at 80% isn't it? He loves the UN doesn't he? He loves giving speeches in Europe right? He wants to give billions to the UN, so hey, there he is--he does have experience receiving millions of dollars for not doing anything right?

Hey come on...admit it. This is a stroke of genius! It's perfect...it's a perfect fit. Besides, Sec-Gen of the UN is the closest to what he wants to be, which is King of the World.

Barack at the UN would be great, but I doubt he'd be content since as an American he can't occupy the top chair there. As all of his jobs have been steppingstones to the next job, maybe he could figure out a way to change that (claim Kenyan citizenship maybe).

REAL socialism...
You people have been throwing around the word "socialism" as a way to describe anything you don't like. Does anyone who comments on these boards actually know what words like Socialism and Marxism mean? They DO actually have specific meanings, believe it or not!

In socialism, the state controls industry and the means of distribution, and there is no privately owned business. Got that? No tax plan Obama is proposing involves the government seizing control of privately owned businesses. If Joe the Unlicensed Plumber buys out his employer and takes a hit in taxes because of Obama, that still does not mean that the government will be controlling his business. It's not socialism, period.

HOWEVER, if you want to see something that smacks of socialism, you need only look to measures being taken by the REPUBLICAN Bush administration and the REPUBLICAN Treasury secretary. If you're actually concerned about creeping Marxism slowly taking over our government, then the bailout should be keeping you awake at night. This is VERY close to socialism. The federal government has taken over vast amounts of formerly privately-owned bank equity and insurance policies. Our lame-duck current president endorsed this, and he endorsed McCain.

But as far as the concern for the welfare of those who make more than $250,000 goes, well, we are entangled in several very expensive military exercises right now, and if you really want to support our troops you can't just TALK about it. Sentiments are lovely, but the troops need FINANCIAL support, and that money has to come from somewhere. Thanks in part to the tax cuts Bush implemented (which did not succeed in preventing an economic crisis, incidentally!), we are in debt up to our eyeballs, printing more money to pay off the interest and watching the value of our dollar fall against the Euro. So while the wealthy aren't penalized, the rest of us ARE!
Brenda writes: Wednesday, October, 29, 2008 1:50 PM
Careful where you place the blame...
The office of the President can do nothing without the approval of both houses of Congress. So, you can blame Bush for the economic bailout all you want. But if you recall, it was the pork parade passed by the Senate that started that ball rolling down the hill. The Democratic controlled Congress passed that bill even though millions of us were screaming "NO"! It was Barney Frank and his committee that fell asleep at the wheel and allowed Fannie and Freddie and Wall Street to go down.

And... if one wants to rant about Socialism, one should maybe "study up" on it a little more.

Barack Obama, in the past, openly admitted being a Marxist.

"Between capitalist and communist society there lies the period of the revolutionary transformation of the one into the other. Corresponding to this is also a political transition period in which the state can be nothing but the revolutionary dictatorship of the proletariat." - Karl Marx
(for those who do not know... proletariats are the working class)

According to Karl Marx, Socialism is the 5th transitional phase that must take place in order to achieve the 6th and final phase of government, Communism.

Stop a minute and THINK ABOUT WHERE WE'RE HEADING!

Is it really possible that we're just going to throw our Constitution in the toilet?

May God help us...
