Once enough e-mail all started saying the same thing I figured I might as well go ahead and explain...

For those that come to this spot to hear the show, read the blog, or become enraged by the column I do owe you an apology. Pretty much everything is on hold for another few days. As you know Salem Communications canceled all live local programming in New York and my daily broadcast fell victim. As a result since January 4th I've been in the mode of re-thinking, re-packaging, and re-prioritizing what I need to do to not only feed my family but to reconsider how and what we've done for the last five years here and the previous several in Chicago.

Meetings have happened, talks with sponsors have been encouraging, and in a very short span of time (weeks not months), I am confidant that a new broadcast will be emerging. It is quite likely that the development work Stephen Baldwin and I have been doing together will be a big part of what this new broadcast looks like. And to be honest, I think this nation is going to need it.

Ready yourselves folks as I was the first one to point out - way back so many months ago. Barring some miracle, Barack Hussein Obama will be the next President of these United States. Forget tax cuts, Roe v. Wade, the protection of marriage, and being tough with the terrorists... the U.S. is headed for some pretty devastating days ahead - both internationally where states like Iran will run circles around B. Hussein, and domestically where his inability to not give in to every leftist tendency he has will become obvious within the first 90 days of his taking power.

At that time... and it is not far from now. Confusion over the greatest moral questions of our time will become the predominant deficit in the next generation's life. Is there such a thing between right and wrong?

Fewer partisan microphones will exist and ignorance will be bliss once again. The "Fair"ness doctrine will be re-established and the public airwaves will be choked by the cowardice of media company owners who will not have the stomach to stand up, let the truth be told, and let the chips fall where they need to.

The only political prayer that we have is that those four years will be so plagued by rot, liberal excess, and complete mismanagement of everything from the economy to our security that the American people will rise up, take matter into their own hands, and give conservatives one more chance to get it right. Yet when you look at how badly entitlements, size of government, and the general cowardice most Republicans have towards doing the right thing - once in power over the last eight years - and you just roll your eyes and sigh...

But not all will shy away from the task before them. I for one will not. Because as long as the public education of our nation's children are being filled with gobblety-guk there will always be a need to help straighten out the foundation of their logic, analytical, and rational processing skills.

More than that there will be a defining need for our time, for this place, and of this world to stand and articulate the difference in right and wrong, moral and immoral, righteousness and injustice. And that my friend is where my passions are increasingly being drawn.

I can not begin to express my personal frustration in the entire election cycle of 2008. And even though I predicted it would happen, I had no idea how disconcerting, disillusioning, discombobulated it would all become. Idealistic but naive voices of our youth are saying that "John McCain" is a fresh hope for our future.

Dude... the crank is 71 years old.

And while these new voices do not remember the days of Ronald Reagan I can tell you easily that Mr. McCain's snub of conservative ideas, and his repeated insults, curses, and swears at people who DID attempt to extend the legacy are anything but hopeful.

In fact it is John McCain's signature act - McCain/Feingold - the most acidic assault on the first amendment ever enacted that gave us such a sorry selection process and gave us the pathetic options we have this day.

So what am I saying... simply this - there is no immediate hope on the political landscape. John McCain is on his best day a gun half-cocked and ready to blow a load of crazy to whoever might have the audacity to stand in his way.

Barack Obama is certainly far worse with his smooth tongue and willful, evil, leftist, progressive agenda. An agenda that will bankrupt the economy, weaken our defenses, assault the family and the values that have made America good, and eventually if left unchecked spiral our nation into an abyss the likes we have never seen.

2008 has been a personal bumpy ride for me thus far. Professionally I DON'T know what the future holds for me... But I know this...

The Common Sense that is based on biblical ideas of right and wrong will be needed more in the days, weeks, and months to come and this MuscleHead stands ready to engage the ideas, parse the true definitions of  meaningful language, and attempt to shed the light of truth on all the mess we have yet to face, Stephen Baldwin may even join me in this venture - and of course we are going to do all we can to help you laugh a little along the way.

For those who read, write, and worry I simply ask one thing. Your daily prayer! I hold without any reservation to the idea that in God's timing what will need to happen has already been established and in fact will. Join me in asking His provision, join us in the battles we face ahead together. Know that none of us is alone in our desire to see goodness prevail...

And ask God for one more thing, not for huge success - electorally or according to an agenda, but rather ask of him very liberally - for great faithfulness on the hearts of His servants.

As for me, a few more days of being squirreled away working on book number two will be the case, but in the near future - not distant at all... we will be back!
