On Saturday nights Baldwin McCullough Xtreme Radio is super charged about having AM 970 The APPLE as our flagship home. So if you're in NYC, and you "heart" BMXRadio, get it tuned in on AM 970 Saturday nights - 9-11pm EST.

This week we wanna welcome those newcomers to our airwaves joining us from the recent fill-in stints KMC logged for Don Kroah on WAVA 105.1 FM in Washington DC, and Frank Pastore on 99.5 FM in Los Angeles. It was a genuine pleasure to get to know two great audiences on opposite coasts. And boy were those two weeks eventful! But by all means the conversations were fun and we even got to help some people in the process.

Here's just SOME of what we're hitting on Saturday night - so be by the radio (9pm EST):

1. Christian and Practicing Homosexual?:

This is a subject that seems to be so politically charged, especially with the battle in California raging between the radical angry activists in California and the churches that are trying to stand for Biblical truth. This week American Pop star, Clay Aiken, decided to officially tell the world of who he likes to bed. But We're left wondering - why is that even important? In the past Clay has talked about his being raised in the Christian faith, and loving the music of groups like Avalon. Yet... does his choice of sexual practice put him at odds with his profession of faith? Can someone be both a growing biblical Christian, and someone who is delving into the depths of homosexual life simultaneously? We ask, you comment - 800.345.9622 - call us toll free in hour one.

2. What Carrie Bradshaw would never be able to know...

http://stylestar.files.wordpress.com/2008/06/2008_sex_and_the_city_002.jpg

In a city where relationships, sex, and happiness have a bit more mythical lore thanks to HBO prime time, than reality holds, why would a single gal come to the big apple, and pine her days way waiting patiently and fervently for the right guy? Carrie Bradshaw never found what Anna Broadway was after. So who was the happier? Well Anna Broadway's "Sexless in the City" blog became a sensation and now it has been turned into print. What is in the memoir of reluctant chastity that may help another generation of girls who think, wonder, and hope if love has to resemble the emotional carnage spread across television screens. Only the third guest we've welcomed to the show and she joins us in studio tonight. 800.345.9622 with your questions, observations, and comments.

3. On October 18th come out for our first LIVE remote from Glen Cove Long Island at GLYBooks. We'll be signing books, doing the show live and taking your comments instead of callers - LIVE at GlyBooks.

We'd like to thank our sponsors for making it all happen: Christian Values Network, Compassion International, GLYBooks.com, and Hit Me Energy Shots.

12 or 4 in California?
The California ballot initiative 12 is going down in an enormous ball of well-funded and well-deserved flames (or, "flamers").

However, where has the Hysterical Fringe Christian Right been on Prop 4, the underage abortion notification bill?

Could it be that the HFCR is more obsessed with the gays than they are with abortion?

Sure seems that way to me.

When was the last time "Dr." James Dobson sent a stack of his followers' money to California for Prop 4?

Oh, that's right... never.

Eight Goat...
Heaven forbid anyone call you a dummy or anything - but if you're referring to the marriage issue in California...

It is...

Proposition 8.
My Pet Goat writes: Sunday, September, 28, 2008 7:55 PM
And the point?
And the point is? You are such a good Republican. When you can't answer the question, divert attention to something else.

The gay marriage bill is doomed -- regardless of the bill's number.

Now.... numbers aside, where are all you so-called "Christians" on the abortion notification bill?

Forget the number for a minute and please expalin how it is that you people are more concerned about the gays than you are about underage abortions.

Baby Karl writes: Sunday, September, 28, 2008 11:39 PM
The point being Goat...
You didn't even know the proper name of the issue you were claiming others intention on.

I AM aware of Prop 4. And yes - a number of pro-family groups are involved in Prop 4. I know and am aware of all this.

YOU are the one who isn't - and thusly demonstrated when you called it "initiative 12".
My Pet Goat writes: Monday, September, 29, 2008 8:04 AM
Really?
What involvement? When? Where? I've NEVER seen or heard about it.
Ex Pat(-rick) in Geneva writes: Monday, September, 29, 2008 10:42 AM
The number is NOT the point!
Not that Goat needs defending (but I do like her spunk!), the number of the bill is irrelevant.

She makes a good point.

The Christian Right doesn't really care about abortion. It's a big shame and money maker. They are, however, totally obsessed and fascinated by anything gay.

How about arguing the point, Kevin, and not the number of the bill.

That seems a bit one-sided
I believe you hear about Proposition 8 more than Proposition 4 outside of California precisely because Proposition 8 is the one that if it fails will cause a wider effect throughout the United States. If a gay couple moves outside of California they will have just cause to petition for their union to be recognized. Just because you don't hear about Proposition 4 in the national media doesn't mean that Californian Christians don't know about it.

And guys, what does this have to do with the topic? The show didn't even talk about Prop 8.
